目前，西药房的药剂师，在给病人取药时，有时需要根据药方，把药片研磨成粉末状，以供病人服用，可现在的研磨方式一般都是将药片放在一张纸上，人工用一个研磨棒对药片慢慢的研磨，这种研磨方式，在研磨的过程中，药片很容易向四周溅出，造成药片的浪费，且不能对大量的药片同时进行研磨，研磨效率低。
