输送带是一种复合体，主要由柔性的增强骨架与橡胶或塑料复合而成。现在市售的输送带，多为橡胶面层输送带和PVC/PVG材料输送带。现在的输送带存在的问题是拉伸特性、抗冲击性和耐腐蚀及超耐磨性能还有待提高，使用寿命较短。
