目前，在高中数学教椭圆特性时，有时候需要用实际来表现特性，但是现在通常使用电脑来模拟椭圆特性，其缺点是不如实物模拟直接而且可信性高，有时候会为学生带来困惑。目前实体的椭圆特性演示装置还没有发现。
(三)发明内容
为了克服现有演示装置的不足之处，本实用新型提供了一种椭圆特性演示装置。
本实用新型的技术方案是：一种椭圆特性演示装置，它有一个基座，基座上安装有一个凹面椭圆台，凹面椭圆台位于该椭圆的两个焦点的位置上各安装有一个LED发光管，凹面椭圆台还配置有一个滑块；所述基座上设置有一根电源线，并与所述LED发光管连接。
所述凹面椭圆台和滑块由非常光滑的材料制成，其阻尼接近于零。
该装置还可以采用磁悬浮材料制成。
本实用新型的有益之处在于：该装置结构简单，设计合理，能直观地演示出椭圆的特性，可操作性强，是一种非常好的教学工具，填补了一项教学用具的空白。
