Abstract

电转接器及其组件
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种电转接器及其组件,特别是关于一种适用板距较远的两块印刷电路板的电转接器及其组件。
【技术背景】
板对板电连接器广泛应用于连接两块分开的印刷电路板。通常的这类电连接器包括分别安装到两块电路板上的插头电连接器和插座电连接器两部分,这两者相互对接将两块电路板连接起来。在两块电路板相隔的距离较远的情况下,为了将两块电路板连接起来,就要相应增加插头或插座电连接器高度。
2002年5月28日公告的美国专利第6,394,822号揭示了一种电连接器组件,其包括插头和插座两部分,其中插头和插座均包括一绝缘本体及收容于绝缘本体内的若干平行的薄片模组。每个薄片模组包括绝缘本体、固定于绝缘本体一侧的若干导电端子和安装于绝缘本体另一侧的屏蔽板。当该电连接器组件所连接的两块电路板的板距增加时,插头、插座的绝缘本体及各个薄片模组的绝缘本体、导电端子及遮蔽板相应要改变高度,这样势必使制造过程变得复杂,制造成本显著增加,电连接器组件的通用性降低。
因此,有必要设计一种结构简单的电转接器及其组件,用以电性连接距离较远的两块电路板。
【发明内容】
本发明的目的在于提供一种电转接器及其组件,以于板距较大的两块电路板之间建立电性连接。
为实现上述目的,本发明采用如下技术方案:一种电转接器,用以电性连接分别安装于两块电路板上的两个电连接器,该电转接器包括第一本体、第二本体、中间组件及中间壳体;该中间组件包括若干平行的薄片模组,其中每一薄片模组包括绝缘支持体及固定于绝缘支持体中的若干导电端子,每一导电端子设置有一对分别延伸入所述第一本体及第二本体内的对接部;所述第一本体及第二本体组装于所述中间组件上;所述中间壳体与所述第一本体、第二本体共同包覆所述中间组件。
为实现上述目的,本发明还可以采用如下技术方案:一种电转接器组件,其包括第一电连接器、第二电连接器及一电性连接所述第一电连接器和第二电连接器的电转接器,该电转接器包括第一本体、第二本体、中间组件及中间壳体,该中间组件包括若干薄片模组,其中每一薄片模组包括绝缘支持体及固定于绝缘支持体中的若干导电端子,每个导电端子设置有一对延伸入所述第一本体及第二本体内的对接部;所述第一本体与第二本体分别安装于中间组件上;所述中间壳体与所述第一本体、第二本体共同包覆所述中间组件。
相对于现有技术,本发明提供了一种电转接器及其组件,其设置的电转接器可在不改变分别位于两块印刷电路板上一对连接器结构的情况下,即可以于板距较大的两块印刷电路板之间实现电性连接。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1所示,一种用于连接两块间隔距离较远的平行印刷电路板(未图示)的电转接器组件100,其包括第一电连接器1、第二电连接器1′及电性连接第一电连接器1和第二电连接器1′的电转接器2。
请参阅图2及图3所示,本发明电转接器2的第一种实施方式包括一中间组件21、位于中间组件21上下两端的结构相同的第一本体20和第二本体20′及中间壳体22,中间壳体22包覆于中间组件21的周围,并同第一本体20及第二本体20′配合形成一收容空间(未标示)以收容中间组件21。
请参阅图2至图5所示,中间组件21包括若干相互平行的薄片模组24。每一薄片模组24包括绝缘支持体26和若干导电端子28,导电端子28注塑成型于绝缘支持体26中并且呈直线排列。绝缘支持体26通常呈口字形,也可制成薄片状,其包括第一表面261及与第一表面平行261的第二表面263。第一表面261上设置有若干定位柱262,第二表面263设置有若干与定位柱262位置相对应的定位孔264。在组装时,将一薄片模组24第一表面261上的定位柱262卡入与其相邻的薄片模组24第二表面263上的定位孔264中从而形成中间组件21。每一导电端子28包括中间部282、一对从中间部282两端延伸的对接部284,并且对接部284延伸出绝缘支持体26外,各对接部284包括一对两端纵向延伸的弹性端子臂286用以与第一电连接器1及第二电连接器1′电性连接。
中间壳体22由一对结构相同的方框壳体22a、22b组成的,两方框壳体22a、22b由绝缘材料制成,其各自包括一主体部221、由主体部221横向两侧缘垂直向前延伸的第一侧壁222和第二侧壁222′。主体部221上下两侧设置有若干梯形凹槽2211,第一侧壁222上设置有一方形孔223,第二侧壁222′上设置有一凸块224。
第一本体20上设置有若干通孔201用以收容中间组件21导电端子28的对接部284,并且组装后导电端子28的弹性端子臂286延伸入第一本体20通孔201内,以防止弹性端子臂286受到损坏。第一本体20两侧还设置有若干固持凸块202,该固持凸块202与中间壳体22上梯形凹槽2211构成卡扣机构(未标示)。第二本体20′的结构与第一本体20相同。
请参阅图6及图10所示,本发明电转接器2在组装过程中,首先将第一本体20和第二本体20′安装到中间组件21导电端子28对接部284的两端,导电端子28对接部284延伸入第一本体20、第二本体20′上的通孔201内。然后将一对方框壳体22a、22b从两侧按图示方向扣合到中间组件21上,第一本体20及第二本体上的固持凸块202卡入到方框壳体22a、22b的梯形凹槽2211中,方框壳体22a上的凸块224及方形孔223与方框壳体22b上的方形孔223及凸块224相卡扣,由此将中间组件21包覆于中间壳体22内。
请参阅图7及图8所示,其为本发明的第二种实施方式,在这一实施方式中电转接器3与第一种实施方式电转接器2的结构不同之处在于中间壳体31是由金属材料制成及中间壳体32与第一本体30及第二本体30′相配合的卡扣机构不同。电转接器3其他元件的结构均与第一种实施方式相同。
在本实施例中,中间壳体31由一对结构相同的方框壳体31a、31b组成,中间壳体31由金属材料制成,方框壳体31a、31b包括各主体部311及由主体部311横向两侧缘向前垂直延伸的一对侧壁312。主体部311上下两侧缘分别延伸出若干T字形弹性卡持臂313,两侧壁312上下两侧分别延伸出L字形弹性卡持臂314。相应地,在第一本体30和第二本体30′侧壁(未标示)上设置有若干T字形凹槽301和L字形凹槽302以与T字形卡持臂312及L字形卡持臂314相配合从而构成卡扣机构(未标示)。
请参阅图9所示,在组装过程中,首先将第一本体30和第二本体30′安装于中间组件21的上下两端,然后将一对方框壳体31a、31b从两侧按图示方向安装到中间组件21上,并且方框壳体31a、31b的T字形弹性臂313和L字形弹性臂314分别卡扣入第一本体30及第二本体30′的T字形凹槽301和L字形凹槽302中。
本发明的第一电连接器1和第二电连接器1′的结构相同,可以简化制造过程,尤其当两电连接器所在的电路板之间的增大时,仅需增大中间组件的高度即可满足需求,这样可以简化电连接器组件的结构,显著降低成本,而且提高电连接器的通用性。

Claims (10)

1.一种电转接器,用以电性连接分别安装于两块电路板上的两个电连接器,其特征在于:该电转接器包括第一本体、第二本体、中间组件及中间壳体;该中间组件包括若干平行的薄片模组,其中每一薄片模组包括绝缘支持体及固定于绝缘支持体中的若干导电端子,每一导电端子设置有一对分别延伸入所述第一本体及第二本体内的对接部;所述第一本体及第二本体组装于所述中间组件上;所述中间壳体与所述第一本体、第二本体共同包覆所述中间组件。
2.如权利要求1所述的电转接器,其特征在于:所述薄片模组的绝缘支持体包括相互平行的第一表面和第二表面,第一表面上设置有若干定位柱,第二表面上设置有若干与所述定位柱位置相对应的定位孔,相邻两薄片模组的定位柱与定位孔相配合。
3.如权利要求1所述的电转接器,其特征在于:所述第一本体与第二本体上分别设置有若干通孔,所述导电端子的每一对接部分别包括一对弹性端子臂,该一对端子臂收容于所述第一本体或第二本体上的通孔内。
4.如权利要求1所述的电转接器,其特征在于:所述中间壳体包括一对方框壳体。
5.如权利要求4所述的电转接器,其特征在于:该对方框壳体的结构相同,每一方框壳体包括主体部及由主体部横向两侧缘垂直延伸的第一侧壁和第二侧壁,该第一侧壁上设置有方形孔,该第二侧壁上设置有凸块,其中一方框壳体的第二侧壁上的凸块与另一方框壳体的第一侧壁上的方形孔相卡扣。
6.如权利要求4或5所述的电转接器,其特征在于:所述方框壳体上开设有若干凹槽,所述第一本体、第二本体上设置有若干与前述凹槽相配合的凸块。
7.一种电转接器组件,其包括第一电连接器、第二电连接器及一电性连接所述第一电连接器和第二电连接器的电转接器,其特征在于:该电转接器包括第一本体、第二本体、中间组件及中间壳体,该中间组件包括若干薄片模组,其中每一薄片模组包括绝缘支持体及固定于绝缘支持体中的若干导电端子,每个导电端子设置有一对分别延伸入所述第一本体及第二本体内的对接部;所述第一本体与第二本体分别安装于中间组件上;所述中间壳体与所述第一本体、第二本体共同包覆所述中间组件。
8.如权利要求7所述的电转接器组件,其特征在于:所述电转接器薄片模组的绝缘支持体包括平行的第一表面和第二表面,第一表面上设置有若干定位柱,第二表面上设置有若干与所述定位柱位置相对应的定位孔,相邻两薄片模组的定位柱与定位孔相配合。
9.如权利要求7所述的电转接器组件,其特征在于:所述中间壳体由一对结构相同的方框壳体组成,该方框壳体包括主体部及由主体部横向两侧缘垂直延伸的第一侧壁和第二侧壁,每一第一侧壁上设置有方形孔,每一第二侧壁上设置有凸块,其中一个方框壳体的第二侧壁上的凸块与另一方框壳体的第一侧壁上的方形孔相卡扣。
10.如权利要求7所述的电转接器组件,其特征在于:所述第一电连接器与第二电连接器结构相同。
