Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及数字电视接收机,更具体而言,涉及数字电视接收机中的频道“冲浪(surfing)”。
背景技术
自用于电视接收机的无线(或者红外线(IR))遥控单元以来,用户已经使用这些遥控单元进行从频道到频道的扫描(“频道冲浪”),以便找到各个可接收的频道上正在电视转播什么。利用模拟电视信号,仅仅通过将调谐器调谐到新的频道就实现了频道变化,并且从频道到频道的变化基本上是瞬间的,允许用户非常迅速地进行频道冲浪。然而,利用在数字电视接收机上观看的数字电视信号,一旦调谐器被调到新的频道,在显示器上可观看电视信号之前必须执行各种操作。这可以包括在MPEG-2解码器中对接收的电视信号进行解码。在频道变化之后可观看的图像呈现在电视接收机的屏幕上之前,所有的这些附加处理导致例如1/2秒或更多时间的延迟。这个延迟阻挠了频道冲浪,并且妨碍迅速地扫描可观看的频道。
众所周知的是在数字电视系统提供一个单独的频道,包含数字电视系统中可用的所有的频道镶嵌视图。例如,国际专利申请No.WO 00/05886公开了一种用于多频道数字电视系统的导航系统,其中调谐,解码这样的一个单独的频道,并且在电视屏幕上显示镶嵌视图。高亮形式的光标被移动到所选择的镶嵌视图,并且调谐器随后被切换到合适的电视频道。然而,即使采用这种系统,当从特别期望的频道切换到镶嵌视图频道时,存在解码器延迟,并且当从镶嵌视图频道切换到下一个期望的频道时存在解码器延迟。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种用于接收数字电视信号的方法和设备,允许用户迅速地进行从频道到频道的变化,而没有受到典型的解码器延迟的打扰。
上述目的在数字电视系统包括中被实现,该数字电视系统包括:输入,用于接收多个数字电视信号;第一调谐器,耦合到所述输入,用于调谐到所选择的能够再现高质量视频图像的所述数字电视信号的其中之一;第一解码器,耦合到所述调谐器,用于解码所述选择的电视信号;视频信号处理器,用于处理所述解码的电视信号;以及显示器,用于显示所述解码的电视信号,其特征在于所述数字电视系统进一步包括:第二调谐器,耦合到所述输入,用于调谐到承载所有的所述数字电视系统中可用的频道的镶嵌视图的单独的电视信号,所述镶嵌视图的每一个具有比所述数字电视信号更低的质量;第二解码器,耦合到所述第二调谐器,用于解码所述承载所述镶嵌视图的单独的电视信号;选择器,耦合到所述第二解码器的输出,用于选择所述解码的镶嵌视图的其中之一;视频开关,用于将来自所述第一解码器以及所述选择器的输出交替地耦合到所述视频信号处理器;以及控制器,耦合到所述第一调谐器、所述选择器以及所述视频开关,所述控制器响应于频道变化命令使得所述第一调谐器以及所述选择器同步地切换到相同的频道,以及使得所述视频开关临时切换到所述选择器的输出,直到所述第一解码器(14)能够提供可观看的图像为止。
申请人已经注意到当用户进行频道冲浪时,他/她典型地仅仅考虑到每一个频道上的总体内容。因此,临时观看低质量版本的频道足够用户确定频道内容是否是潜在地有意义的。
在本发明中,除提供用于用户当前观看的电视频道的信号的调谐器和解码器之外,单独的调谐器以及解码器被用于调谐以及解码背景中的镶嵌视图信号。当用户决定变化频道时,显示被切换到选择器,用于选择解码的镶嵌视图的其中之一。这个与主调谐器同步调整的选择器接着能即时提供用于显示的下一个频道的低质量图像,同时主调谐器/解码器切换到和解码相应的新的频道。当可观看的图像可用时,显示切换回到主调谐器/解码器。
在本发明的一个优选实施例中,该数字电视系统进一步包括:音频信号处理电路,用于处理电视信号中的音频信号,所述音频信号处理电路具有耦合到所述第一解码器的输出的第一输入,以及耦合到所述选择器的输出的第二输入;以及至少一个耦合到所述音频信号处理电路的输出的扬声器,用于提供相应于所述音频信号的音频声音,以及所述控制器使得所述音频信号处理电路与将视频开关切换到来自选择器的输出同步,切换到来自所述选择器的输出。
在这个实施例中,当控制器将视频开关切换到选择器时,由音频信号处理器对来自选择器的音频信号进行切换。由此,用户同样当切换到该频道时立即听到所选择的频道的音频信号。
在本发明更进一步的实施例中,包含镶嵌视图的单独的电视信号是高清晰度电视信号。在这个实施例中,显示器上的镶嵌视图的“低质量”减少。

具体实施方式
如唯一的图中所示,本发明的数字电视系统包括被表示为天线10的用于接收数字电视信号的输入。虽然天线被示出,很清楚的是各种其它的源可以包括电缆,卫星等。该输入被连接到第一调谐器12,用于调谐到数字电视信号的其中之一。第一解码器14被表示耦合到第一调谐器12的输出,用于解码调谐的数字电视信号。第一解码器14例如可以是本领域公知的MPEG解码器。解码器14的输出通过视频开关16被施加到视频信号处理器18,用于处理视频开关16提供的视频信号。这个已知的处理可以包括对比度和亮度调整,以及视频信号的彩色含量的调整。显示驱动器20接收处理的视频信号,并且将驱动信号应用到显示器22。
第一解码器14进一步将包括在所选择并且解码的电视信号中的音频信号提供到音频信号处理器24。在处理之后,音频信号在声频放大器26中被放大,并且被提供到一个或者多个扬声器28。
控制器30被提供用于控制第一调谐器12,第一解码器14,视频开关16,视频信号处理器18,显示驱动器20,音频信号处理器24以及音频放大器26。控制器通过红外线(IR)接收机32从由用户操作的IR遥控单元34接收用户命令。
本发明的数字电视系统进一步包括第二调谐器36,被控制以便调谐到包含所有的数字电视系统可接收的频道的镶嵌视图的单独的数字信道。第二解码器38从第二调谐器36的输出接收并且解码数字电视信号。选择器40从第二解码器38接收解码的镶嵌视图,并且选择镶嵌视图的其中之一。所选择的镶嵌视图被用于视频开关16。第二调谐器36,第二解码器38以及选择器40从控制器30接收操作信号。
操作中,在来自IR遥控单元34的控制信号的控制之下,控制器30使得第一调谐器12调谐到所选择的数字电视信号,第一解码器14解码这个选择的数字电视信号,视频开关16将解码的电视信号提供到用于显示器22上的显示的视频信号处理器18。另外,控制器30控制音频信号处理器24处理相应的来自第一解码器14的音频信号,以便由一个或者多个扬声器28产生合适的声音信号。同时,控制器30使得选择器40选择相应于由第一调谐器12选择的数字电视信号的镶嵌视图。
当控制器30从IR遥控单元34接收频道变化命令时,例如,当用户希望进行频道冲浪时,控制器30使得第一调谐器1根据频道变化命令调谐到下一个频道。同时,控制器30使得选择器40选择相应的镶嵌视图,并且使得视频开关16切换到选择器40的输出。如果没有更多的频道变化命令被控制器30接收,控制器30监视第一解码器14,并且当可观看的图像可用时,使得视频开关16切换回第一解码器14。如果更多的频道变化命令被接收,控制器30相应地控制第一调谐器12以及选择器40同时保持视频开关16从选择器40接收信号。
在如上所述的实施例中,申请人注意到当调谐到新的频道,同时存在再现视频信号的延迟时,音频信号是迅速可用的(即,没有用于音频的I帧分组,所有的音频分组是完备的)。因此,不需要切换音频信号。然而,如果希望如图中所示,连同视频信号一起切换音频信号,从选择器40输出的音频以及从第一解码器14输出的音频被用于由控制器30控制的音频开关42。来自该开关的输出随后将输入信号提供到音频信号处理器24。因此,控制器30与视频开关16同步地控制音频开关,以便当来自选择器40的视频信号被切换到视频信号处理器18时,来自选择器40的音频信号被切换到音频信号处理器24。

Claims (3)
1.一种数字电视系统,包括:
输入(10),用于接收多个数字电视信号;
第一调谐器(12),耦合到所述输入(10),用于调谐到所选择的能够再现高质量视频图像的所述数字电视信号的其中之一;
第一解码器(14),耦合到所述第一调谐器(12),用于解码所述选择的电视信号;
视频信号处理器(18),用于处理所述解码的电视信号;以及
显示器(22),用于显示所述解码的电视信号,其特征在于所述数字电视系统进一步包括:
第二调谐器(36),耦合到所述输入(10),用于调谐到承载所有的所述数字电视系统中可用的频道的镶嵌视图的单独的电视信号,所述镶嵌视图的每一个具有比所述数字电视信号更低的质量;
第二解码器(38),耦合到所述第二调谐器(36),用于解码所述承载所述镶嵌视图的单独的电视信号;
选择器(40),耦合到所述第二解码器(38)的输出,用于选择所述解码的镶嵌视图的其中之一;
视频开关(16),用于将来自所述第一解码器(14)以及所述选择器(40)的输出交替地耦合到所述视频信号处理器(18);以及
控制器(30),耦合到所述第一调谐器(12)、所述选择器(40)以及所述视频开关(16),所述控制器(30)响应于频道变化命令使得所述第一调谐器(12)以及所述选择器(40)同步地切换到相同的频道,以及使得所述视频开关(16)临时切换到所述选择器(40)的输出,直到所述第一解码器(14)能够提供可观看的图像为止。
2.如权利要求1所述的数字电视系统,其中该数字电视系统进一步包括:
音频信号处理电路(24),用于处理电视信号中的音频信号;
音频开关(42),具有耦合到所述第一解码器(14)的输出的第一输入、耦合到所述选择器(40)的输出的第二输入,以及耦合到所述音频信号处理电路(24)的输入的输出;以及
至少一个扬声器(28),耦合到所述音频信号处理电路(24)的输出,用于提供相应于所述音频信号的音频声音,
以及其中所述控制器(30),使得所述音频开关(42)与将视频开关(16)切换到来自选择器(40)的输出同步,切换到来自所述选择器(40)的输出。
3.如权利要求1所述的数字电视系统,其中包含镶嵌视图的单独的电视信号是高清晰度电视信号。
