Abstract
本发明涉及可采用高含量游离脂肪酸(即高于35%,优选高于40%,且FFA与皂之比大于1∶1)和低含量合成表面活性剂的皂/游离脂肪酸条。在该条中,游离脂肪酸被认为形成了认为起到结构剂作用的配合物,从而允许使用较少量的合成表面活性剂。该条需要很少的合成表面活性剂。皂中不饱和材料和脂肪酸的总量应不超过15%。在本发明又一个实施方案中,该皂条可通过不足中和方法制备,由此使脂肪酸与苛性物质(例如低于50%的苛性物质)结合形成皂,且游离脂肪酸在规定用量或比例以内。
Description
本发明涉及具有高含量游离脂肪酸(例如大于35%,优选大于36%,更优选大于38%,甚至更优选大于40%或大于41%(重量)),和低含量合成表面活性剂(例如小于25%,优选小于20%(重量)),同时保持良好的使用性能(例如泡沫)的基于皂/脂肪酸的条。
基于合成表面活性剂并含有某些脂肪酸皂的条(“合成洗涤剂”条)是公知的。合成洗涤剂条的合成表面活性剂含量远高于本发明的条。
含有某些合成表面活性剂的脂肪酸皂条也是本领域公知的。这种条可含有游离脂肪酸(富脂),但通常没有(也不必)达到游离脂肪酸(FFA)含量大于皂含量的水平。现有技术中并没有公开在具有高脂肪酸/皂含量、低合成含量的条中,不饱和皂的总含量可以不超过限定的水平。
当脂肪酸皂或合成皂条中添加另外的游离脂肪酸时,该另外的游离脂肪酸称为“富脂”。这种添加通常可提供诸如泡沫更丰富、更像乳油的益处。例如广为人知的Dove条含有约20%的游离脂肪酸。Dove的合成表面活性剂含量远高于本发明中所用的水平。
一般而言,由于各种原因,限定条中所用游离脂肪酸(FFA)含量的上限很重要。例如,因为FFA是疏水的,其含量太高将会降低条的发泡或起沫能力。
本申请人意外发现,当FFA酸以很大的量加入时(在本发明的一个实施方案中,用本申请公开的不完全中和方法加入到条组合物中),该条仍将保持优异的发泡性能。虽然并不希望被理论束缚,但相信这是因为条形成(例如,由于采用本方法的不完全中和)的酸-皂微观结构具有足够的整体性,可以被初始地挤压,但这种整体性在足以提供充足泡沫(即来自皂/游离脂肪酸)的有效清洗后会消耗掉,即使表面活性剂的用量很少也如此。
就是说,认为酸-皂配合物初始地起到结构剂的作用(它不会消泡),且随着该结构解体,就会在清洗操作期间很好地起沫。同时,由于它起到结构化配合物的作用,需要(例如用于发泡)的合成表面活性剂的量就远少于起先所认为的量。
因此该条包含最低约65%的脂肪酸皂和FFA的结合;低于约25%(优选至少约1%,更优选至少约5%,更优选至少约10%)的合成表面活性剂,和1%-约15%,优选2%-14%(低于15%)的水。在一个优选实施方案中,FFA的含量等于或更优选地高于皂的含量。游离脂肪酸的优选含量大于约40%(重量)。该条一般通过挤压方法制备,但并不一定非用该方法(例如还可采用熔铸或框架冷却方法),且该条用标准的条评价技术或BLAM将起沫至少50ml。
如上所述,高游离脂肪酸含量(例如高于约35%,优选高于40%)是优选的,FFA与皂之比为1∶1或优选更高。此外,合成表面活性剂的含量相对较低。Dove条含有约20%FFA和高得多的合成表面活性剂。在本发明中,FFA的含量同样优选高于所用合成表面活性剂的含量。同样在本发明中,水的含量将高于5%(重量),但低于约14%(重量),优选低于约12%(重量)。
US 3989647(Prince)公开了含有至多约35%(重量)脂肪酸和至少40%非皂表面活性剂的条。本发明的条通常含有高于约35%的FFA,还含有含量低得多的合成表面活性剂(即低于约25%(重量))。
US 4673525(Small等)公开了含有20-70%,优选40-70%合成表面活性剂,至多40%“润湿剂”(优选不是脂肪酸)和至多25%皂的条。合成表面活性剂与皂之比为2∶1-12∶1。在本申请中,皂的含量通常超过了合成表面活性剂的含量,且合成表面活性剂与皂之比不会接近2∶1。
US 4695395(Caswell)公开了含有皂、羟乙磺酸钠、FFA和酰基羟乙磺酸盐的条。FFA的量至多25%(见权利要求3)。本发明中FFA的含量更高。
US 4832861(Resch)公开了可含有30-70%皂和1-40%FFA(例如硬脂酸)的条。从该实例显见,该条是主要含有椰子酰基羟乙磺酸盐和较少量的FFA的皂条。本发明含有高得多的FFA。此外,本申请要求挤压条通过干酪金属丝(cheese wire)方法测量的硬度至少为90,优选至少100kPa,但并不清楚Resch的条是否需要这种限制。事实上,如果Resch中采用高含量的盐,很可能许多条似乎就不会是这种硬度。
US 5225097(Kacher等)公开了需要至少15%水的皮肤pH值冷凝条。
US 5661120(Finucane)公开了含有最多35%FFA和最多25%皂的条。本发明要求至少65%的皂与FFA的结合。
US 6218348(Aronson)公开了含有脂肪酸皂、至多35%的FFA、规定Mw的聚(亚烷基)二醇和质子酸(protic acid)的盐的条。从说明书和权利要求可见,明显该文献涉及的条主要含(优选50-75%(重量))脂肪酸皂和较低含量(优选2-14%)的FFA。
其他一般相关的专利包括:US 3991001(Srinivasan等)、US4812253(Small等)、US 4954281(Resch)、US 5006529(Resch)、US 5076953(Jordan等)、US 5204014(Redd等)、US 5225098(Kacher等)、US 5543072(Fost等)、US 5681980(Beerse等)、US 5945389(Richard等)、US 6069121(Cassady等)和US 6242394(Chambers等)。
在本申请人知道的所有专利中,没有一个专利公开的条中FFA的含量超过皂的含量;合成洗涤剂的含量低于某一水平(低于25%,但优选至少10%(重量));并存在酸-皂配合物。具体而言,脂肪酸和皂一起占条的至少约65%,优选至少66%,更优选至少68%,更优选至少70%,而FFA占条的至少35%,优选至少36%,更优选至少38%,最优选至少40%,甚至更优选高于40%(重量)。
此外,合成表面活性剂占组合物低于约25%,优选低于约23%,更优选低于约20%,且水占低于约15%,优选低于约13%。本发明的条优选通过酸-皂配合物形成期间游离脂肪酸的不足中和而制备。
本发明涉及具有低含量合成(即非皂)表面活性剂,但仍能很好地发泡且不刺激皮肤的条组合物。用高含量游离脂肪酸(优选FFA与皂之比等于或大于1∶1;优选FFA超过组合物重量的35%,更优选超过40%(重量))可实现这些优点,尽管也许会预计这种高FFA含量会导致泡沫损失、增加磨损和/或增强刺激性。相信皂/脂肪酸形成的结构化网络允许合成表面活性剂的用量较少,但该配合物随后在洗涤期间溶解,从而获得高皂/FFA、低合成表面活性剂体系意想不到的良好发泡性能。
具体而言,在一个实施方案中,本发明的组合物包含:
(1)至少约65%(重量),优选至少66%,更优选至少68%,更优选至少70%的脂肪酸皂和游离脂肪酸的混合物,其中至少35%,优选至少37%,更优选至少40%(重量),更优选超过40%(重量)的条是游离脂肪酸,且其中优选(但非必须)当FFA与少于50mol%的苛性物质混合(同样优选FFA与皂之比为至少1∶1,优选大于1∶1)时,制备条中的所述脂肪酸皂;
(2)低于25%,优选低于24%,更优选低于20%的非皂合成表面活性剂(优选FFA的含量大于合成表面活性剂的含量);
(3)低于15%,优选低于14%(例如2-14%)的水。
其中所述条通过BLAM(作为参考试验)测量的泡沫为至少50ml;其中所述条优选通过挤压方法制备;和其中挤压皂条通过干酪金属丝法测量的硬度至少90kPa,优选至少100kPa。
本发明涉及具有高含量游离脂肪酸和皂(即总含量至少约65%,FFA至少约35%;优选的FFA与皂之比为1∶1,更优选大于1∶1)的条,该条优选通过在制皂方法中采用的苛性物质(例如NaOH)的不足中和(mol%低于50mol%将导致不足中和,因为50mol%苛性物质会产生完全中和,即全部是皂且没有游离脂肪酸)形成皂与FFA的混合物来形成。
具体来说,游离脂肪酸和用游离脂肪酸形成的皂的重量百分比之和占最终条组合物的至少65%,优选至少66%,更优选至少68%,更优选至少70%;同时游离脂肪酸本身的重量百分比(a)优选大于所形成的皂的重量百分比,且(b)占最终组合物的至少35%,优选至少36%,更优选至少38%,更优选至少40%。
并不指望被理论束缚,相信是因为皂/游离脂肪酸形成的皂-游离脂肪酸配合物使条结构化,从而使需要的合成表面活性剂不超过25%。认为该配合物在洗涤期间会解体,使条的发泡高于皂/FFA低合成条的期望水平。
如上所述,按惯例会认为疏水游离脂肪酸减少泡沫(具体说通常是较长的链,一般是C12和本发明更长的分子)。
然而,由于该配合物明显起到结构剂的作用,它也可以传递合成表面活性剂,从而起到用于采用更低的合成表面活性剂含量的手段的作用。
简而言之,该配合物导致具有优异的发泡和损耗性能的低表面活性剂条的形成。
在一个实施方案中,本发明的条通过挤压方法制备,其中脂肪酸与苛性物质(或能提供与脂肪酸反应形成泡沫的碱或其他金属的任何分子)在约82.2-110℃(180-230)温度下结合。
FA可以是任何C8-C24,通常是不分支的烃。然而,总脂肪酸(和总最终皂加上FA)应该优选不超过15%的总不饱和组合物。
如上所述,本发明的一个关键方面是,即使具有高的皂FFA(特别是FFA)和低合成表面活性剂,该条仍保持发泡良好(通过本申请中描述的BLAM试验测量)。泡沫应至少50ml,优选至少55ml,更优选至少60ml。
挤压皂条将具有至少90kPa的硬度(通过方案中定义的干酪金属丝法测量)。

方法

Claims (9)
1.条组合物,包含:
(a)至少约65重量%的脂肪酸皂和脂肪酸的混合物,其中至少35重量%的条是游离脂肪酸;
(b)至少约1%至低于25%的非皂合成表面活性剂;
(c)1%至低于15%的水;
其中所述条由BLAM试验测量的起沫至少为50ml;和
其中挤压条由干酪金属丝法测量的硬度至少为90kPa。
2.权利要求1的条组合物,其中脂肪酸为至少37重量%。
3.权利要求1或2的条组合物,其中脂肪酸高于40重量%。
4.前述权利要求任何一个的条组合物,其中合成表面活性剂低于24重量%。
5.权利要求4的条组合物,其中合成表面活性剂低于20重量%。
6.前述权利要求任何一个的条组合物,其中条的起沫为至少55ml。
7.前述权利要求任何一个的条组合物,其中条通过将脂肪酸与低于50mol%苛性物质结合,得到皂和脂肪酸而形成。
8.前述权利要求任何一个的条组合物,其中最终条中游离脂肪酸与皂之比为至少1∶1。
9.前述权利要求任何一个的条组合物,其具有至少100kPa的硬度。
