Abstract
本发明电连接器是安装于电路板上,其包括绝缘本体及安装于绝缘本体内的若干导电端子,所述导电端子包括若干信号端子及接地端子。所述接地端子相对设置于绝缘本体内且包括固持型接地端子及非固持型接地端子。所述固持型接地端子包括固持型端子脚,每对固持型端子脚包括一对横向拱形部用于与电路板的通孔干涉配合。通过这种设置,电连接器的插入应力相对缓和,同时插入应力可通过改变拱形部的弯曲而调整。
Description
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种安装于电路板的电连接器,尤指一种具有与电路板良好固持的电连接器。
【背景技术】
现有电连接器安装于电路板上,一般通过连接器上的固持脚与电路板孔洞的内壁形成干涉配合以产生固持力。目前,业界发展的趋势是借助导电端子尾部以达成与电路板之间的固持。为使制造与组装成本较低,端子尾部采用相同结构,这样可使所有端子均可提供固持力而增强固持效果,但同时也会使插入应力增加而使电连接器产生较大变形而使之安装于电路板的过程变得相对复杂。因此,较为理想的解决方式是使部分端子尾部具有固持效果,而其它端子尾部不具有固持效果,这样可使插入应力相对减少。
如鸿海公司2003年10月21日公告的美国专利第6,634,893号就揭示了这样一种电连接器。该种电连接器包括安装于具有若干通孔电路板上的绝缘本体,若干端子安装于该绝缘本体内。所述端子包括固持型端子及非固持型端子。所述固持型端子包括一对在绝缘本体纵长方向上相互重迭的端子脚。所述端子脚包括一突起用于与电路板通孔的内壁干涉配合。当固持型端子插入到电路板的通孔时,该对端子脚相互偏离使之在纵长方向的重叠部分发生变化而使得突起与电路板的通孔产生干涉配合。然而,该突起的特定结构使插入应力相对较大,另外,为了调节插入应力而改变突起的突出结构也会使得模具的加工变得相对复杂。
【发明内容】
本发明的目的在于提供一种结构简单且可与电路板较好配合的电连接器。
为实现上述目的,本发明电连接器安装于电路板上,包括一纵长的绝缘本体及若干安装于绝缘本体内的导电端子,所述绝缘本体包括安装于电路板的安装面,所述导电端子包括若干信号端子及接地端子。所述接地端子以相对方式设于绝缘本体内且每一接地端子均包括超出绝缘本体安装面的接地脚,其中至少一对接地端子的接地脚具有一拱形部,该对接地端子的一对拱形部相互对立且在其间形成一槽,所述拱形部可变形插入于电路板。
相较于现有技术,本发明电连接器的固持型端子脚加工较为简便,且插入应力可通过调节拱形部的弯曲而调整。另外,该固持型端子脚可通过端子脚的弯曲变形而得到。

【具体实施方式】
请参照图1至图3所示,本发明电连接器100是安装于具有若干通孔302的电路板300上(参图5所示)。电连接器100具有纵长的绝缘本体1及若干安装于绝缘本体1内的导电端子2。绝缘本体1具有与对接连接器(未图示)相对接的对接面10及与对接面10相对的用于安装于电路板300上的安装面12。
请参照图1至图2并结合图5至图6所示,绝缘本体1包括一对侧壁13及两端壁11,所述侧壁13与端壁11共同围设成一收容空间(未标号)。其中一端壁11上设有一定位柱111从而将绝缘本体1定位于电路板300上。每一侧壁13在对接面10上沿绝缘本体1纵长方向形成若干侧槽16,上述侧槽16延伸至绝缘本体1对接面10上。所述绝缘本体1还包括平行于侧壁13的一中间壁15,所述中间壁15将收容空间分为两个收容槽18。所述中间壁15在对接面10上设有两排上部中间槽14,在安装面12上形成一排底部中间槽14′,上部中间槽14及底部中间槽14′分别与收容槽18相通。在本实施例中需要指出的是,所述上部中间槽14及侧槽16在绝缘本体1横向方向上相互对应且具有相同的中心线。另外,所述两个收容槽18与上部中间槽14及侧槽16相连通。
请进一步参照图3至图4并结合图5所示,所述导电端子2包括若干信号端子20及若干接地端子22,为清楚起见,本实施例仅显示位于绝缘本体1中间及两端的导电端子2。所述接地端子22是以成对方式设于绝缘本体1内,每个接地端子22均包括一连接部28,一弹性组件26从连接部28向上延伸,以及一接地脚30从连接部28的中间部向下延伸。所述弹性组件26包括三根弹性部,每根弹性部在其自由端设有一与对接连接器相对接的弯曲部262。所述信号端子20包括一垂直的主体部222,一接地部224从主体部222的自由端横向延伸,一对接部226从主体部222的另一端弯曲延伸。需要指出的是,在本实施例中,所述接地端子22的弯曲部262与信号端子20的对接部226以背靠背方式设置且结构相同。信号端子20与接地端子22被分别设置于侧槽16及中间槽14内。
请参照图2及图4所示,所述接地端子22分为固持型接地端子及非固持型接地端子,所述接地端子22以相对方式设于绝缘本体1内。在本实施例中,为了满足最大插入应力的要求,固持型接地端子被设置于绝缘本体1的中间部与两端。所述固持型接地端子包括固持型接地脚32,每一固持型接地脚32包括一相对设置的横向突出部或拱形部36,一对固持型接地端子22的固持型接地脚32共同形成一槽38(参图5所示)。当每对固持型接地脚32被插入电路板300的通孔302中,所述拱形部36与通孔302的侧壁相互挤压并迫使槽38变形,因而产生对称的固持力用于更好地将连接器100固持于电路板300上。所述固持力可通过改变拱形部36的弧度而改变。而非固持型接地端子的非固持型接地脚34则自连接部28直线延伸,每对非固持型接地脚34完全重叠。
请参照图2至图3并结合图5至图6所示,导电端子2与绝缘本体1的配合将被详细描述。接地端子22从安装面12插入绝缘本体1的中间槽14内,此时接地端子22的连接部28位于安装面12中间槽14′上,而接地脚30则超出绝缘本体1的安装部12。信号端子20被插入于绝缘本体1的侧槽16内,其中接地脚224横向延伸出安装面12。在本实施例中,由于收容槽18与上部中间槽14及侧槽16相互贯通,因而接地端子22与信号端子20可相互配合与对接连接器对接。
使用时,电连接器100被安装于电路板300上,接地脚30被插入到电路板300的通孔302内,此时,固持型接地脚32的拱形部36与通孔302干涉配合因而在横向方向上产生对称的插入应力。其插入应力可通过改变拱形部36的弯曲度而调整。非固持型接地脚34与通孔302并未产生干涉配合,因而无插入应力产生。
与现有技术相比,本发明电连接器的固持型接地脚加工较为简便,且插入应力可通过调节拱形部的弯折而调整。另外,该固持型接地脚可通过非固持型接地脚的弯折变形而得到。
Claims (6)
1.一种电连接器,安装于电路板上,其包括绝缘本体及安装于绝缘本体内的若干信号端子以及若干接地端子,所述绝缘本体具有对接面及安装面,所述接地端子是以成对方式相对设于绝缘本体内,每一接地端子均包括超出绝缘本体安装面的接地脚,其特征在于:其中至少一对接地端子的接地脚具有一拱形部,该对接地端子的一对拱形部相互对立且在其间形成一槽,所述拱形部可变形插入于电路板。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述每一接地端子包括弹性组件及用于连接该弹性组件及接地脚的连接部。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述弹性组件包括若干弹性部,每一弹性部的自由端形成一弯曲接触部。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体包括两侧壁及两端壁,上述侧壁及端壁共同围设成一收容空间,每个侧壁上形成用于收容信号端子的侧槽。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体包括一平行于侧壁的中间壁,所述中间壁将收容空间分为两个收容槽,所述中间壁设有两排用于收容接地端子的中间槽。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:其中部分接地端子为非固持型接地端子,每对非固持型接地端子的接地脚相互重叠。
