Abstract
The invention relates to an apparatus for adjusting the temperature of exhaust gases passing through an exhaust system (11-17) of a vehicle having an internal combustion engine (10). The exhaust system is provided with an active regeneration filter (14) for collecting particles from the exhaust gas stream. The apparatus comprises a heat exchanger (12), which has a first flow passage for an exhaust gas stream from the exhaust manifold (11) of the engine to the particle filter (14) and a second flow passage for an exhaust gas stream from the particle filter (14) to the outlet pipe (17) of the exhaust system.
Description
Technical field
The present invention relates to a kind of equipment that is used to regulate through the exhaust gas temperature of the vent systems of vehicle with internal-combustion engine.Vent systems is equipped with an active regeneration filter that is used for collecting the exhaust flow particle. This device comprises heat exchanger.
Background technique
The active regeneration particulate filter can be used to the reprocessing of diesel engine exhaust, in this case, catches soot and dust granules in the waste gas, rather than goes in the environment around these materials are discharged into.Active regeneration refers to temperature and rises to such level in the upstream of filter discontinuously, so that particle can after-flame under this level. The oxidation catalyst that combines with filter can be used for increasing temperature.
Oxidation catalyst utilizes in the exhaust flow unburned fuel to create precondition for regenerative process. For instance, can unburned fuel be sent into exhaust flow by the conventional ejecting system of motor, this is referred to as the back and sprays.
The high temperature that produces in the active regeneration (based on oxygen) can make the gas temperature that discharges via blast duct for vehicle become very high (about 600 degrees centigrade). This may bring out fire and jeopardize other users on the road, such as the pedestrian on the road.
For example, a kind of method of cooled exhaust air can be to allow waste gas pass through with the cooler of surrounding atmosphere as cooling medium. This cooler should be equipped with fan, so that stop or during low speed driving, the suitable vehicle of this state provides cooling air in the particulate filter regeneration process at automobile. The vent gas cooler that fan is housed not only takes up space but also very expensive.
Summary of the invention
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to produce a kind of device of not only having saved cost but also having saved the space, be used for reducing the temperature of the exhaust flow of the motor vehicle emission that the diesel engine that has the active regeneration particulate filter is installed.
Based on above-mentioned purpose and special device is used to regulate the temperature through the waste gas of the vent systems of vehicle with internal-combustion engine.Vent systems is provided with the active regeneration filter that is used for collecting the exhaust flow particle, and this device contains heat exchanger. This device is characterised in that according to the present invention, heat exchanger has first flow channel and second flow channel, first flow channel is used for exhaust flow and flows to particulate filter from the gas exhaust manifold of motor, and second flow channel is used for exhaust flow flows to vent systems from particulate filter discharge tube.Because the structure of this device can reduce the exhaust flow temperature that automobile is discharged, can also utilize the heat energy heating to flow into the air-flow of particulate filter simultaneously. This means that also the less fuel of needs is used for active regeneration.
Relevant advantageous embodiment of the present invention can be referring to the Patent right requirement of subordinate.
Description of drawings
Exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings is described in greater detail below the present invention.Accompanying drawing has diagrammatically been represented an internal-combustion engine that has according to device of the present invention.
Embodiment
The diesel engine 10 that picture in picture is separated expression is installed on the vehicle, for example truck or bus, and it is provided with vent systems, and this vent systems comprises the gas exhaust manifold 11 that is connected to heat exchanger 12.Baffler with oxidation catalyst 13 and particulate filter 14 is connected to heat exchanger 12 by inlet pipe 15 on the one hand, is connected to heat exchanger 12 by outlet conduit 16 on the other hand.
First flow channel that passes heat exchanger 12 is vertical extent in the drawings, allows to flow to particulate filter 14 from the exhaust flow of enmgine exhaust 11 via inlet pipe 15.Second flow channel that passes heat exchanger 12 is horizontal-extending in the drawings, allows exhaust flow to flow to the discharge tube 17 of vent systems via outlet conduit 16 from particulate filter 14.
By using with the active regeneration process of oxygen as oxygenant, carbon soot particles will be removed from particulate filter automatically, thereby has reduced the demand of safeguarding and keeping in repair.Regenerative process will take place at reasonable time, for example when automobile running certain distance or when motor after having moved a period of time under certain load.
For the regenerative process of jihuokeli filter, the sparger of motor can be equipped with fuel is sprayed into device in the waste gas, and this is referred to as the back and sprays.Another kind method is that sparger of extra installation fuels injection in the waste gas in the vent systems of particulate filter upstream.
Under low-load, the exhaust gas temperature of discharging from motor through gas exhaust manifold 11 is about 200 degrees centigrade. When the active regeneration process began, owing to belong to the burning of hydrocarbon in the oxidation catalyst of this system, the temperature of the waste gas that flows out from silencing apparatus just began to improve.Little by little, the carbon-smoke combustion in the particulate filter begins, so local temperature can rise to more than 1000 degrees centigrade. At this moment, be not less than about 600 degree centigrade via outlet conduit 16 to the temperature of the air-flow of heat exchanger from silencing apparatus. This hot air flow is cooled through over-heat-exchanger 12 time, and this makes it when discharging automobile via discharge tube 17, and temperature is for example (effectiveness of heat exchanger is 50%) about 400 degrees centigrade.Simultaneously, be used to heat air-flow, so only need quite a spot of fuel start the active regeneration process from gas exhaust manifold from the heat energy of hot air flow.
The present invention should not be considered as not only being confined to the foregoing description. On the contrary, in the scope of Patent right requirement, can expect many further variations and modification.
