背景技术
健身锻炼一方面需要使身体承受一定的劳累。劳累的程度对于锻炼的效果有重要的影响。另一方面,劳累又挫伤锻炼者的意志,所以成为锻炼中的消极因素。
本发明提出各种方式,特别是使用虚拟现实的场景和图像游戏使对体力的挑战成为锻炼中的一个积极因素。
发明内容
本发明的第一个方面是置鼓励性图像于锻炼的节目中。使对体力的挑战成为达到目的的一部分。本发明的一个实施方案是一健身系统,其包括:一锻炼器械,一控制器,及一图像显示器。控制器从锻炼器械处接收信号,控制器记录用户的行程。为鼓励用户,控制器按行程距离及其对应的实际地点,在图像显示器上显示图像。例如,在固定健身自行车系统上结合一山地自行车节目。当骑过困难的区域,如山坡,沙地,或颠簸路段,自行车的阻力就增加。挑战体力的同时带来兴趣。

具体实施方式
参考图1,体现此发明的实施方案可由系统9表述。系统9包括健身自行车10,支架11,显示屏19,及控制器22。
支架11足以稳定支撑使用者的体重及其他零件的重量。显示器19和控制器22固定于支架11上,其高低位置方便于使用者操作健身自行车10。
显示屏19用于显示动画或实景录像(包括路景或越野景)。若带有接触屏功能,其还可作为输入装置。能够想象,以任何合适方式运用动画或录像于此系统将无损于本发明的精神和范围。扬声器20用于播放声音,包括音乐,语音,和模拟的背景声。在要求安静或不打搅他人的场合,也可以使用耳机。
控制器带有一微处理器,一软件输入装置(比如CD或DVD),内存储器(硬盘),及外设控制板(如模拟/数字转换器)。脉搏传感器23连于手把17,当操作者触及脉搏传感器23的导电部分时,其可传感操作者的脉搏。若置传感器于操作者的手腕,胸口,或颈部,脉搏传感器也可实现无线传感。

健身自行车10通常包括一坐架12、一电机13、一磁阻装置14、及一手把1。支架11与坐架12相联。电机13、磁阻装置14、手把17则联于坐架12。
现在参考图2,坐架12的一头通过一旋转铰链联于手把下的支架上,而座位下的另一头联于曲柄28。
电机13(它可以是普通直流电机、伺服马达、或步进马达)驱动曲柄28使坐架12绕前端的铰链摆动。座椅的近似垂直的运动模拟自行车的跳动效果。电机13的动作与物景同步。
一磁阻装置14对一铁质飞轮施以阻力来模拟爬坡,路面,和风的阻力。阻力的大小由控制器22发出的电信号来控制。磁阻装置14的一个可能的实施方案为一步进马达26和一涡轮机构组成。步进马达26驱动涡轮从而控制阻力。

支架41承载使用者及系统部件包括跑步皮带、电机、倾角机构43、控制器48、显示器44等。皮带速度传感器42用于测试皮带的速度。皮带速度传感器由光电传感器组成,它自皮带驱动轮上测试旋转运动的信号。如图4所示,皮带速度也可从皮带上直接测得。在皮带的边缘上粘贴一胶带60,胶带上印有反光点。光源61将光投射于胶带60。用一光电传感器62采得反射光就能测得皮带运动。光源61及光电传感器62都可固定于架子63,架子又可安装于大多数现成的跑步机。用这一方法,毋需复杂的改装,此发明便可用于许多现有的设备。
回至图3,倾斜机构43控制皮带的倾角。倾斜机构43由一电机驱动。遇十字路口的场景时,位于支架上的行走方向传感器46用来传达操作者行走方向意向。这是由一对固定于手把上的感应传感器实现。脉搏传感器47亦固定于支架上,其可获取操作者的心跳速度。行走方向传感器46可与脉搏传感器47合并。
无庸赘述,其他形式的健身器,如划船机,椭圆健步器,也可以采用与上述健身自行车和跑步机相同的形式。
在山地自行车的实施方案中,不同的路况对应于不同的场景。当骑行经过道路颠簸的场景时,健身自行车就会产生跳动的效果。当上坡、顶风、陷于沙地、或遇其他障碍时,骑行的阻力就会增大。将变速挡挂低可降低阻力,同时也降低了骑行速度。将变速挡挂高会增加阻力,但也同时提高骑行速度。根据经过情景的难易程度、行走距离、及完成行程的时间,用户获得分数奖励。在跑步机实施方案中,根据旅行情景由直流电机驱动皮带的倾角。皮带越陡,锻炼难度越大。
系统提供各种节目,其按假设的锻炼者的地理位置提供虚拟的地理场景。比如(以任何合适的形式)节目可以设置成包含与所经过的城镇相关的特定的细节,象历史建筑、纪念碑、雕塑、绿化等。如此,用户在健身器上跑过的路程决定了何时将到达下一地,也决定了显示何种与其相应的图像。用户到达任一地所必须跑过的路程与两地的实际距离相同。节目让健身者穿越或漫游任一城市。也可用其他交互功能来模拟实际的道路或越野的跑步或骑车。比如,节目也可包含一追赶功能,健身者可选择追赶一动画图像或被一动画图像追赶以提高运动强度。另一例子可为:在健身者虚拟的地点附近,节目还可包含其他交互特性如运动的车辆,脚踏车,人物等。
除此以外,录影可用来表现健身者所邻的附近的场景。拍摄录影时,沿途摄下的mpeg片段记录下相关的地域。通常,用一运动的摄像机从健身者的视角拍摄。回放时,回放的速度与跑步或骑行的速度相对应。比如,若拍摄时摄像机的运动速度是每小时25英里(mph),摄像速度为每秒29.97帧,则若健身者的跑步速度为每小时6英里时,回放速度为每秒4.995帧。若将一跑步者或骑车者的三维图像与影像迭加可创造出更个性化的效果。全景摄影片段也可用来提供健身者对其所邻环境更强的现场感受。这些影像片段可在行程中切入使整个行程更有趣。
节目并不局限于显示动漫的场景或摄影影像。相反,节目采用不同形式的材料来表现内容,用二维及三维的动漫来增强艺术效果。影像、包括历史建筑的三维地形、气候条件的表现、以及动态地推近或推出锻炼经过地的地图都可以交替使用来增强视觉效果。除此以外,多屏幕66可用来表现附加景象或显示全景影像(参见图5)。另外,用户可选择对其口味的音乐。
在越野旅行的节目中,某一用户多次运动累积的公里数可用来决定此用户旅行了有多远,以此来决定播放的景观。比如在穿越美洲的节目中,长跑者从东岸的弗吉尼亚海滩出发,他(她)跑经一镇又一镇,一州又一州,途经肯塔基、密苏里、科罗拉多、...、最后抵达西海岸的俄勒冈州。沿“途”,除了用摄像及动漫来提供景观外,节目软件也提供历史地标、建筑、当地景点、当地吉庆、当地人文知识、甚至当地实时新闻。这在实际生活中只有极少数人能享受这一经历,但是在虚拟世界中却让任何人可能分享这一相同的感觉。“你必须跑到那儿才能感受那儿”产生了一种期盼和刺激,由此鼓励持之以恒的锻炼并减少枯燥感。有关历史地标、当地文化、建筑、当地景点等等信息可从英特网,旅行手册、导游手册等来源获得。在联网的条件下,最新的当地新闻可通过文字转换语音的技术呈现给用户。更进一步,这种系统可提供著名的竞赛,如全球知名的马拉松和环法自行车赛。
现参见图6,系统保存用户的资料及锻炼的记录。与英特网68相联时,用户的资料及锻炼记录可存于一联网全球的伺服机70。在全球任何地点,健身器72都能回取相同的锻炼记录。使用这种健身器时,用户可以选择每次都用其屏幕名登录,这样任何用户可以记录和回取其锻炼记录。有关的统计数字如锻炼的频率、强度、锻炼时间、及在某段时间内的总体锻炼结果均可轻易地计算得到并记录下来。而且,多次锻炼的累积锻炼强度、平均锻炼强度等均可得到。锻炼效果最好通过某段时间内的锻炼强度来衡量。个人的锻炼记录和统计数据可与锻炼效果的目标相比较。用户的概况和锻炼记录也可存于便携的数据储存器如smartcard,软盘,或USB储存器。在没有英特网或用户有顾虑不愿使用全球伺服器时,只要将数据储存媒体插于任何具备此功能的健身器内,用户就可记录和回取其锻炼的记录。
使用横越全国的旅程时,锻炼记录也可用来模拟集体锻炼。比如,同一家庭的不同成员可以在不同时间内进行锻炼但用虚像或地图上的标识符号相互表示、参照,就如同他们同时在跑步/步行。若控制器与英特网相联,住在不同地区的亲朋好友可以通过网络分享锻炼记录。此实施方案促进锻炼者与其他用户进行交流。相互交流可相互促进以保持不断锻炼,同时又保持一定程度的娱乐性。
与英特网相联,此软件也提供社交环境以促进锻炼者之间相互交流。全球伺服器将参与节目的用户的虚拟旅行的地理位置标志于地图上。比如Kitty(屏幕名)可能看见五个人在她虚拟的地理位置的附近“旅行”。她可以与他们在线交谈或下线e-mail。这样的社交环境增加了鼓励,同时自然地推动形成用户论坛。当然,假如锻炼者希望,其也可选择静匿状态。
对于一个熟悉本行的人来说,以上的描述主要是对应用本发明的原则的描述。本描述并非意为限制本发明的实施范围和应用范围。本发明可经修改、变化、以及改变而不偏离本发明的精髓,此发明的精髓由以下权利要求来定义。

Claims (29)

1、一系统,其在提供一用户锻炼的同时产生娱乐或鼓励的刺激,其特征在于该系统包括:
一锻练装置,其能让用户在其上运动,
一控制器,其能与锻练装置交流并能记录渡过的距离,
一图像显示器,其与该控制器相联并能对用户显示影像,
其中,该控制器设置成能根据行进的距离和相应的实际地点显示相应的图像。
2、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供用户实际地点的信息。
3、根据权利要求2所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供的信息为与实际地点有关的人文信息。
4、根据权利要求2所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供的与实际地点有关的信息是视觉形式的信息。
5、根据权利要求2所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供的与实际地点有关的信息是听觉形式的信息。
6、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成追踪多次锻练的累积距离并根据累积的距离和其相对应的实际地点在图像显示器上显示图像。
7、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成能显示实际地点的地图。
8、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该健身器是一健身自行车。
9、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该健身器是一跑步机。
10、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成存储用户数据。
11、根据权利要求10所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成存储用户数据于伺服器以允许其他机器存取。
12、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该行经的距离和显示的图像与实际的距离相关。
13、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该与实际地点相关的图像结合动画物景,预摄的影片,及二维的地图。
14、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该锻练器的艰苦程度根据实际地点而变化。
15、根据权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于该其上有一传感器联于健身器,该传感器设置成能够传感跑步机皮带上的色标来得知皮带速度。
16、一系统,其在提供一用户锻炼的同时产生娱乐或鼓励的刺激,其特征在于该系统包括:
一锻练装置,其能让用户在其上运动,
一控制器,其能与锻练装置交流并能记录渡过的距离,
一图像显示器,其与该控制器相联并能对用户显示影像,
其中,该控制器设置成能根据行进的距离和相应的实际地点显示相应的图像,控制器同时提供用户有关此实际地点的社会或文化信息。
17、根据权利要求16所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供的与实际地点有关的信息是视觉形式的。
18、根据权利要求16所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供的与实际地点有关的信息是听觉形式的。
19、根据权利要求16所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成追踪多次锻练的累积距离并根据累积的距离和其相对应的实际地点在图像显示器上显示图像。
20、根据权利要求16所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成能显示实际地点的地图。
21、根据权利要求16所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成储存用户的数据。
22、根据权利要求21所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成储存用户的锻练记录。
23、根据权利要求21所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成将用户的数据储存于伺服器以允许其他机器存取。
24、根据权利要求16所述的系统,其特征在于该锻练器的艰苦程度根据实际地点而变化。
25、一系统,其在提供一用户锻炼的同时产生娱乐或鼓励的刺激,其特征在于该系统包括:
一锻练装置,其能让用户在其上运动,
一控制器,其能与锻练装置交流并能记录渡过的距离,
一图像显示器,其与该控制器相联并能显示用户影像,
其中,该控制器设置成能根据行进的距离和相应的实际地点显示相应的图像,控制器设置成能追踪多次锻练的累积路程,同时根据累积的路程和其相应的实际地点将相关图像显示于显示器上。
26、根据权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器提供用户有关实际地点的信息。
27、根据权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成显示用户的信息包括累积的锻练及平均锻练强度指标。
28、根据权利要求27所述的系统,其特征在于该锻练强度指标是基于在一特定时段内的锻练有效度。
29、根据权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于该控制器设置成显示实际地点的地图。
