Description

因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置
本发明涉及因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置，该装置用于根据用户输入的因特网地址而显示在因特网中检索到的因特网页面，和根据用户输入的电视数据服务地址而显示从电视频道广播检索到的电视数据服务数据。
目前，已知提供电视和电视机顶盒使用户能够以一种模式浏览因特网并以另一种模式浏览电视数据服务，该电视数据服务包括世界标准图文(World Standard Teletext)(WST)、WST的数字等效和数字交互电视数据服务。可以通过模拟和数字电视广播，经地面RF传输机、电缆(包括电话)和卫星介质以及在专用信道或者用视频和音频信号多路传输来提供这些电视数据服务。
公开号为JP11-018060的日本专利申请公开一种电视机，该电视机能够用一种常规的因特网浏览器通过以下方式之一观看输入的图文流，所述方式为：将图文页转换为图像文件，例如JPEG，并在html文件的标题中查阅该图像文件；或者将图文符号数据写进html文件，在两种情况中，都将该html文件保存到RAM中。
本发明的目的在于提供改进的、集成因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置。
根据本方面的第一方面，上述类型的因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置具有通用的的输入机构，如屏幕上显示的文本输入框中的文本输入或者显示器上显示的特定类型的超链接选择，用户可利用该输入机构输入因特网地址和电视数据服务地址以分别显示因特网页面和电视数据服务数据。
这种装置能够利用一种简单的、对于因特网和电视浏览器是通用的输入机构实现因特网和电视数据服务浏览之间的无缝(seamlessly)切换。
理想的是，电视数据服务地址包含电视频道的频道名和频道数，以便使用户能够在不同电视频道的电视数据服务之间进行区别和选择。
在用户选择特定频道的电视数据服务时，装置在这种选择之后尝试检索相应的电视数据服务数据，或者可替换的是，装置可从适当的缓存中检索这些数据。因此，根据本发明的第二方面，上述类型的因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置具有保存装置，用于以能够由浏览器可见(viewable)的格式保存电视数据服务数据文件，该数据文件由电视数据服务数据构成、包括或涉及该电视数据服务数据，并且该保存的数据文件具有表明电视频道的频道名或频道数的文件名和/或目录结构。
特别是，该保存装置可以完成以下一个或多个任务：
·当检索到可由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，将该文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件
·当检索到不能由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，首先将该文件转换为能够由浏览器可见的格式，然后将转换后的文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件
·当检索到不能由浏览器可见的文件格式或者不是文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，产生或修复一文件，以包含从电视频道检索到的电视数据服务数据，或者包含从电视频道检索到的电视数据服务数据的相关联文件的参考，然后将产生或修复过的文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
依照本发明的第二方面还提供相应的方法，如权利要求9至12所限定的。
现在通过例子的形式参照下面的附图对本发明进行描述，其中：
图1显示依照本发明两个方面的电视机顶盒；以及
图2和图3显示由图1的机顶盒产生的屏幕显示。
图1显示一种能够实现因特网的电视机顶盒，利用具有位于垂直消隐因特网中的图文数据的模拟、地面广播电视流(feed)和来自电话线的因特网(www)流进入电视机顶盒。
根据本发明，与相应电视相连的电视机顶盒能够以浏览器模式工作，在该浏览器模式中，用户可以在“地址”文本输入框中输入以网络链接(url)或“图文”链接。即，在输入 http：//www.philips.com时，如图2所示在浏览器上显示Philips的主页(尽管没有再现实际的网页，在输入“txt：//bbcl.page100”时，如图3所示在浏览器上显示BBC1图文服务的第100页(尽管没有再现实际的图文数据)。
可以实时地进行图文数据的检索，由此电视机顶盒等待被传送的页面，然后将数据迅速转换为适合浏览的格式。可替换的是，可以提前检索该图文数据，将其转换为适合浏览的格式，然后以表明电视频道的频道名或频道数的文件名和/或目录结构高速缓冲存储。
可以通过常规的键盘、袖珍键盘或者用于控制机顶盒的远程控制(未示出)完成地址数据输入。
尽管上面提供了一种模拟的电视流，但是该电视流可以是模拟的也可以是数字的，并且该电视流可以来自任何合适的广播源，所述广播源包括地面RF，卫星或者电缆。类似地，进入机顶盒的因特网流可以来自任何合适的因特网源，包括经电缆、电话或无线局域网。
集成存储器可以是可写的光盘或磁盘，或固态存储器，或其它合适的介质。
通过适当的编程和配置，在硬件和/或软件方面很容易实现本发明在这种机顶盒中的实施。当然，所述编程和配置是公知的，本领域的普通技术人员不需要过多的努力就能够实现。本领域普通技术人员进一步可理解，本发明的教导同样可应用于与基于电视或PC的这种装置集成的装置。

Claims (12)

1.因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置，该装置用于根据用户输入的因特网地址而显示从因特网中检索到的因特网页面，和根据用户输入的电视数据服务地址而显示从电视频道广播检索到的电视数据服务数据，其特征在于通用的输入机构，用户可利用该输入机构输入因特网地址和电视数据服务地址以分别显示因特网页面和电视数据服务数据。
2.根据权利要求1的装置，其中输入机构是在屏幕上显示的文本输入框中的文本输入。
3.根据权利要求1的装置，其中输入机构是显示器上显示的特定类型的超链接的选择。
4.根据权利要求1的装置，其中电视数据服务地址包含电视频道的频道名和频道数。
5.因特网和电视数据服务浏览装置，该装置用于根据用户输入的因特网地址而显示从因特网中检索到的因特网页面，和根据用户输入的电视数据服务地址而显示从电视频道广播检索到的电视数据服务数据，其特征在于保存装置，用于以能够由浏览器可见(viewable)的格式保存电视数据服务数据文件，该数据文件由电视数据服务数据构成、包括或涉及该电视数据服务数据，并且该保存的数据文件具有表明电视频道的频道名或频道数的文件名和/或目录结构。
6.根据权利要求5的装置，其中当检索可由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，该保存装置将该文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
7.根据权利要求5或6的装置，其中当检索到不能由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，保存装置首先将该文件转换为能够由浏览器可见的格式，然后将转换后的文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
8.根据权利要求5的装置，其中当检索到不能由浏览器可见的文件格式或者不是文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，保存装置首先产生或修复一文件，以包含从电视频道检索到的电视数据服务数据，或者包含从电视频道检索到的电视数据服务数据的相关联文件的参考，然后将产生或修复过的文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
9.一种提供浏览因特网和电视数据服务的方法，包括以下步骤：
支持一浏览器；
从电视频道检索电视数据服务数据；和
保存电视数据服务数据文件，该数据文件由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据构成、包括或涉及该电视数据服务数据，并且该保存的电视数据服务数据文件具有表明电视频道的频道名或频道数的文件名和/或目录结构。
10.根据权利要求9的方法，其中当检索可由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，将该文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
11.根据权利要求9或10的方法，其中当检索到不能由浏览器可见的文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，首先将该文件转换为能够由浏览器可见的格式，然后将转换后的文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
12.根据权利要求9或10的方法，其中当检索到不能由浏览器可见的文件格式或者不是文件格式的电视数据服务数据时，首先产生或修复一文件，以包含从电视频道检索到的电视数据服务数据，或者包含从电视频道检索到的电视数据服务数据的相关联文件的参考，然后将产生或修复过的文件保存为电视数据服务数据文件。
