Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种在便携设备中使用的并且由可充电电源驱动的显示装置。
背景技术
已经存在对诸如具有较小尺寸的移动电话的便携装置的需求,并且也应当在大小上降低用于所述装置的显示器。这是诸如可以变薄的有机EL器件的发光型显示器变得比用于显示器的传统LCD被更广泛地使用的原因。
移动电话的显示器具有用于指示电话的状态的部分,例如剩余的对话时间和场强。这个状态指示部分示出了固定的模式,因此具有诸如比其他部分更差的亮度的特征,这导致所谓的“图像损缺”。为了解决这个问题,可以定期地转换非反转(non-inverted)的显示和反转(inverted)的显示,但是在使用所述装置中发生的这样的转换可能不仅仅激怒用户,并且也可以被误解为故障的指示。
当发光显示器件用于移动电话的显示并且进行反转的显示时,功耗增加,并且缩短了不充电的可用时间。
本发明涉及针对上述问题的一种解决方案,本发明的一个目的是延长显示器的使用寿命而不让所述装置的用户感觉到显示装置的显示状态中的变化。本发明的另一个目的是即使当使用发光显示装置时也防止功耗提高,并且防止不充电的可用时间被缩短。
发明内容
按照本发明的显示器被通过与外部电源连接而可充电的电源驱动,并且包括:显示部分;显示控制部分,能够在所述显示部分的反转显示状态和非反转显示状态之间转换;电源检测部分,用于检测与所述外部电源的连接。所述显示控制部分响应于由所述电源检测部分检测的连接而在所述显示部分的反转显示状态和非反转显示状态之间转换。以这种方式,因为当所述装置连接到外部电源时转换显示器,因此可以防止在显示部分中的图像损缺。不必考虑当所述装置连接到外部电源时在显示部分中的功耗,并且不降低不充电的可用时间。另外,当所述装置与外部电源连接时而不是当所述装置用于正常状态时,显示被反转,因此用户不太可能将所述反转误解为故障指示。
按照本发明的显示装置包括显示调整部分,用于调整所述显示部分的亮度。所述显示调整部分调整处于反转显示状态和非反转显示状态中的所述显示部分的亮度。因为根据显示状态来调整显示部分的亮度,因此可以降低显示装置的特征中的差异,并且可以防止图像损缺。

具体实施方式
现结合图1-4来说明本发明的实施例。图1是按照本发明的实施例的、包括显示装置的移动电话的配置的示意图。所述移动电话包括天线1、无线发送/接收部分2、控制部分3、显示部分4、电源检测部分5、电话发送/接收电路6、存储器部分7和操作部分8。天线1在移动电话和基站之间发送/接收电波,无线发送/接收部分2执行操作,诸如放大发送/接收的电波和转换电波的频率。
控制部分3控制诸如无线发送/接收部分2、显示部分4和电源检测部分5的多个部分的每个的操作或整体的操作。控制部分3包括显示控制部分31,用于控制显示部分4。显示控制部分31还包括亮度调整部分32和时间测量部分33。亮度调整部分32在正常的显示(以下也称为“非反转显示”)状态或反转的显示状态中调整显示部分4的亮度。时间测量部分33测量显示部分4的非反转显示周期或反转显示周期。

现在将说明显示控制部分3如何控制显示部分4。当移动电话用于通信或没有与外部电源连接的因特网连接时,显示部分4通过因特网显示通信辅助信息或发送/接收信息。如图2所示,状态指示部分以非反转显示状态来显示例如电池、天线等的固定模式,用于指示电池110的剩余容量和场强112。移动电话的使用降低了电池的剩余容量。当用户将电话连接到外部电源来充电时,显示控制部分31根据由电源检测部分5检测的连接状态来将显示部分4的显示从在图2中的非反转显示转换为图3中所示的反转显示。
现在说明用于调整处于反转显示状态的显示部分4的亮度的方法。时间测量部分33如下设置处于反转显示状态的显示部分4的亮度。根据不连接到外部电源来使用移动电话的平均周期、平均充电时间和在非反转的显示状态中的被调整的亮度,设置在反转显示状态中的亮度,以便在装置通过使用而变差后没有显示装置的特征的差异。
可以根据如何使用显示部分4的状态来调整在反转显示状态中的亮度。现在将说明在这种情况下的亮度的调整方法。时间测量部分32测量显示部分4的非反转显示状态的周期,并且包括计数器(未示出),它在非反转显示状态中递增,在反转显示状态中递减。所述计数器对于在非反转显示状态中的每个指定的时间周期递增,并且对于对应于在非反转显示状态中的亮度的每个时间周期递减。当非反转显示被转换为反转显示的时候,亮度调整部分33在反转显示状态中设置亮度。在反转显示状态中设置的亮度被设置为使得没有在显示装置中特征的差异的值,如上所述。

当使用移动电话时降低电池的剩余容量并且用户将所述装置连接到外部电源以充电的时候,电源检测部分5检测与外部电源的连接,并且显示控制部分31将显示部分4从非反转显示状态转换到反转显示状态。所述计数器在对应于在反转显示状态中的亮度的时间间隔、即在使得在平均充电时间的结尾对于非反转显示状态递增的计数器值达到零的时间间隔递减。在这个示例中,平均充电时间是两个小时,在充电开始时的计数值是16,因此所述计数值在计数器对于两个小时计数16次、即每小时8次的间隔递减。在结束充电后,计数器恢复为每两个小时递增一。
注意在图4的示例中,充电在平均充电周期的结尾结束,因此计数器从等于零的计数器值恢复递增,但是计数器不必然从零值恢复递增。例如,当电池功耗小并且执行充电时,或当用户在所述器件被充分充电之前将所述器件与外部电源断开连接时,计数器在获得其零值之前恢复递增。当电池功耗很大时,即使当计数值是零并且计数器恢复从负计数值递增时,充电也不结束。可以从上面得出,计数值示出了在显示器中特征的差异。
按照本发明实施例的多个这样的显示部分4可以被提供来作为折叠型移动电话的显示部分。当形成多个这样的显示部分时,能够以各种方式来组合光接收和发射显示部分。
另外,可以通过显示控制部分31来执行结合本发明的上述实施例所述的显示部分4的转换,以便当电源检测部分5检测到与外部电源的连接时从反转显示状态转换到非反转显示状态。
另外,上述的按照本发明的实施例的连接状态可以包括其中所述装置连接到外部电源但是未被充电的状态。
虽然已经参照所述具体实施例详细说明的本发明,但是本领域内那些技术人员可以清楚地明白,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下可以进行各种改变和修改。

产业上的应用

1.一种显示装置,被通过与外部电源连接而可充电的电源驱动,包括:
显示部分;
显示控制部分,能够在所述显示部分的反转显示状态和非反转显示状态之间转换;和
电源检测部分,用于检测与所述外部电源的连接状态,
其中所述显示控制部分根据由所述电源检测部分检测的所述连接状态而在所述显示部分的反转显示状态和非反转显示状态之间转换。
2.按照权利要求1的显示装置,还包括:
显示调整部分,用于调整所述显示部分的亮度,
