Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及发光二极管(LED),尤其涉及一种用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,它可以在各种照明应用中用作LED模块,比如商业标牌、街道标牌、字母广告标牌(channel letter sign)等等。
背景技术
由于发光二极管(LED)具有相对低的维护成本、相对高的可靠性以及相对长的寿命,所以它被用在许多应用中来代替传统的白炽灯、荧光灯、氖管以及光纤光源。
与传统的光源相比,虽然LED表现出了长得多的寿命,但是却消耗相对少的电能,并且,现在正在开发许多LED设计专门用于一些应用,例如利用LED的字母广告标牌。
在于2003年5月6号授予Chen H.Wu的美国专利No.6568021中提出了一种用于照明标牌的发光二极管模块,“Light Emitting Diode Modulesfor Illuminated Sign”。然而,传统的发光二极管模块可以在潮的和干燥的环境下使用,而不能在湿的环境下使用。因此,传统发光二极管模块的构成元件的可靠性会因为其内部进水而降低。同样,暴露在壳体外面的发光二极管模块在受外部碰撞时会变得易碎。而且,连接线也会经常短路。
发明内容
本发明解决了前面所述的问题。本发明的一个目的是提供一种用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,该发光二极管组件具有增强的防水功能和增强的耐用性。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,该发光二极管组件具有防止线路短路的功能。
为了实现上述目的,本发明提供了一种用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,该发光二极管组件包括:
壳体,该壳体向上开口,在壳体两侧面的上部形成了耦接凹口;
印刷电路板,该印刷电路板安装在壳体中,并且在其上端面安装了多个发光二极管;
中空端盖,耦接在壳体的耦接凹口中,其中有多条电线穿过该中空端盖;以及
合成树脂材料,用于覆盖印刷电路板、端盖和发光二极管,该合成树脂材料被填充在壳体中。
印刷电路板包括变压器、整流电路、恒压电路以及恒流电路,其中,当电线提供普通交流电时,变压器降低电压以使通过电线提供的普通交流电符合发光二极管的驱动电压,其中,整流电路将交流电转换成直流电压,并且当电线提供直流电压时,恒压电路和恒流电路调整通过电线提供的直流电压的强度以使该直流电压符合发光二极管的驱动电压。
印刷电路板包括恒压电路和恒流电路,用来调整通过电线提供的直流电压的强度以便使该直流电压与发光二极管的驱动电压一致。
如上所述,在根据本发明优选实施例的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件中,发光二极管组件包括向上开口的壳体。印刷电路板安装在壳体中并且在其上端面安装了多个发光二极管。中空端盖耦接在壳体的耦接凹口中。在这个结构中,发光二极管组件通过使用环氧树脂来防止印刷电路板、变压器以及发光二极管被损坏。

具体实施方式
以下,将参照附图更详细地说明根据本发明优选实施例的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件。
图1所示的是根据本发明优选实施例的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件的分解状态。参照图4,发光二极管组件100被设置在照明标牌104上。
参照图1,发光二极管组件100具有壳体110。在壳体110中形成了一个贮槽114并且向上开口。在壳体110两外侧壁的上部形成了耦接凹口112,耦接凹口112最好具有半圆形的形状。连接支架116从壳体110底端两侧朝相反的方向伸出。在连接支架116上形成了螺纹凹口117。
印刷电路板120包括变压器140、整流电路(没有显示)、恒压电路(没有显示)以及恒流电路(没有显示)。当电线102提供普通交流电时,变压器140降低电压,从而使从电线102提供的普通交流电符合发光二极管122的驱动电压。整流电路把交流电调整为直流电压。当电线102提供直流电压时,恒压电路和恒流电路调整从电线提供的直流电压以使该直流电压符合发光二极管122的驱动电压。
同样,在另一个实施例中,印刷电路板120只包括恒压电路和恒流电路,用来调整从电线提供的直流电压的强度以便使该直流电压与发光二极管122的驱动电压一致。
印刷电路板120被安装在壳体110内。在印刷电路板120的上端面安装了多个发光二极管122。印刷电路板包括变压器140、整流电路、恒压电路和恒流电路。变压器140降低电压以使通过电线102提供的普通交流电符合发光二极管122的驱动电压。整流电路将交流电转换成直流电压。在另一种情况下(输入直流电压),恒压电路和恒流电路调整通过电线提供的直流电压的强度以使该直流电压符合发光二极管122的驱动电压。
多个端盖130被分别插入壳体110的耦接凹口112中。端盖130的上部被形成为直线形,其下部被形成为与壳体110的耦接凹口112对应的半圆形。多条电线102垂直穿过端盖130的中部。在端盖130的下缘形成有耦接凹槽132,端盖130要被插入到壳体110的耦接凹口112中。一对用来穿过电线102的导管134从端盖130的一侧向外伸出。
合成树脂材料被填充在壳体110中用来覆盖印刷电路板120、端盖130以及发光二极管122。合成树脂材料最好包括环氧树脂。
以下,将详细描述如以上所述的根据本发明优选实施例的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件的装配状态。
首先,多个发光二极管122分别被安装到印刷电路板120上端面的多个位置。电线102的接线柱端通过焊接或管脚结构被固定在印刷电路板120的下端。电线102被分别连接到印刷电路板120的两端。变压器140被安装在印刷电路板120的下部。
与电线102及变压器140连接的印刷电路板120被安装在壳体110的贮槽114上。这时,通过使用端盖130把电线102安装到壳体。就是说,每一根电线102都穿过导管134。然后,端盖130被耦接到壳体110的耦接凹口112。端盖130下部的半圆形部分被插入到耦接凹口112中,然后把耦接凹槽132紧密地附着在壳体110的耦接凹口112的边缘。
当工人用合成树脂(比如环氧树脂)填充壳体110的贮槽114时,环氧树脂将印刷电路板120、变压器140以及发光二极管122覆盖。因此,它们不会暴露在壳体110的外面。
发光二极管组件100通过螺纹装置安装在照明标牌104上。该螺纹装置通过连接支架116的螺纹凹口117固定在照明标牌104上。同样,发光二极管组件100也可以使用各种粘着材料而不是螺纹装置来安装到照明标牌104上,比如粘合剂或双面胶带。发光二极管组件100可以以曲折的形状设置在照明标牌104的上端面。发光二极管组件100通过使用电线102相互连接。
在这种状态下,发光二极管122从电线102接收交流电压或直流电压。
当电线102提供普通交流电压时,变压器140降低电压以使通过电线102提供的普通交流电符合发光二极管122的驱动电压。整流电路将交流电转换成直流电压。当电线提供直流电压时,恒压电路和恒流电路调整通过电线提供的直流电压的强度以使该直流电压符合发光二极管122的驱动电压。
从电线102提供的直流电压保持被调整为发光二极管122的驱动电压。
如上所述,在根据本发明优选实施例的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件中,当电线通过使用由PVC制成的端盖穿过壳体时,避免电线短路是可能的。同样,通过使用环氧树脂来避免印刷电路板、变压器以及发光二极管被损坏也是可能的。环氧树脂可以覆盖印刷电路板、变压器以及发光二极管。
同时,当给印刷电路板提供交流电压时,通过把电压调整为符合发光二极管的驱动电压使发光二极管具有规则的亮度。当给印刷电路板提供直流电时,通过利用恒流和恒压电路使提供的电压符合发光二极管的驱动电压使发光二极管具有规则的亮度。
虽然通过参照本发明的特定实施例详尽地展示和描述了本发明,但是本领域的技术人员将会认识到在不脱离如附加权利要求所定义的本发明要旨和范围的情况下可以进行各种形式和细节上的变化。
Claims (5)
1.一种用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,该发光二极管组件包括:
壳体,该壳体向上开口,在该壳体两侧面的上部形成了耦接凹口;
印刷电路板,该印刷电路板安装在壳体中,并且在其上端面安装了多个发光二极管;
中空端盖,耦接在壳体的耦接凹口中,有多条电线穿过该端盖;以及
合成树脂材料,用于覆盖印刷电路板、端盖和发光二极管,该合成树脂材料被填充在壳体中。
2.根据权利要求1所述的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,其中
端盖包括导管,其中,沿该端盖的下缘形成了耦接凹槽以使端盖可以插入壳体的耦接凹口中,其中,导管从端盖的一侧向外伸出。
3.根据权利要求1所述的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,其中
印刷电路板包括变压器、整流电路、恒压电路以及恒流电路,其中,当电线提供普通交流电时,变压器降低电压以使通过电线提供的普通交流电符合发光二极管的驱动电压,整流电路将交流电转换成直流电压,并且当电线提供直流电压时,恒压电路和恒流电路调整通过电线提供的直流电压的强度以使该直流电压符合发光二极管的驱动电压。
4.根据权利要求1所述的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,其中
印刷电路板包括恒压电路和恒流电路,用来调整通过电线提供的直流电压的强度以便使该直流电压与发光二极管的驱动电压一致。
5.根据权利要求1所述的用于照明标牌的发光二极管组件,其中合成树脂材料包括环氧树脂。
