Abstract

本发明涉及一种用于接收数字音频视频节目的适配器装置(10)，包括控制单元(12)，控制单元包括至少一个与音频视频输出装置(16)的接口(14)、至少一个用于可以将编码节目解码的条件访问模块(CAM)(26)的插槽，在控制单元和插槽之间的双向数据总线(22)，以及在控制单元和插槽之间的控制线(30)。根据本发明，此装置包括一个与数据总线相连的内置CAM(20)，用于检测CAM插入到插槽中的传感器(34)，及响应来自传感器(34)的信号，将控制线连接到插槽或内置CAM的开关(32)。

Description

用于DVB的适配器装置
本发明涉及一种用于接收数字音频视频节目的适配器装置，它包含控制单元(包括至少一个与音频视频输出装置的接口)、至少一个用于可以将编码的节目解码的条件访问模块(CAM，conditional accessmodule)的插槽，在控制单元和插槽之间的双向数据总线，以及在控制单元和插槽之间的控制线。
这种适配器装置特别是作为电视的附加装置，一般叫做机顶盒而使用。通过这些装置，电视接收机由于可以接收付费式的编码节目而使得功能得到扩展(付费电视)。依据节目的不同编码类型和来自于不同供应商的不同接收授权，节目的解码和访问授权的验证在一个所谓的条件访问模块中执行。到目前为止已知的机顶盒都提供有可以插入各种供应商的CAM的插槽，以此接收不同的节目。通常由供应商向用户提供机顶盒，供应商同样出售适用于它的节目的CAM。但是，插槽和插入模块表示了一种在计算机顶盒的整体考虑中不可忽视的成本因素。
因此，本发明的目标就是提供一种用于接收数字音频视频节目的适配器装置，在此装置中，供应商所提供的节目的可用性通过一种简单的和节省成本的方式来实现。
为了这个目标，在最初提到的那种适配器装置中提供一个与数据总线相连的内置的CAM、一个用于检测CAM插入到插槽中的传感器、一个连接控制线与插槽或控制线与内置CAM的开关。由于内置CAM的作用，适配器装置可以获得当前的节目。具有内置CAM的适配器装置是非常节省成本的，就好像插入式的CAM必须要加到其中。另一方面，由于多了一个可以插入另外的插入式CAM的插槽，用户就有了通过同一个适配器装置而获得其它节目的选择权。在这个过程中，与另外插入的CAM的连接是通过与传感器相连的开关自动建立的，所以并不需要用户进行进一步的操作。另外，自动切换过程使得可以为已使用的适配器装置(仅具有一个插槽)配备一个插入式CAM，而不需要修改控制单元的程序，因为在某一时刻只有一个CAM是对控制单元可见的，即或者是内置的CAM或者是一个可能的插入式CAM。
本发明进一步的实施例及其优点将由从属权利要求引出。
下面将根据附图，通过一个实施例对本发明进行更加详细的说明，其中：
-图1是依据本发明的适配器装置的框图。
-图2显示了根据对外部CAM的插入和移出得到的多个控制信号的时序。
图1所示的适配器装置10具有一个控制单元12，此控制单元包括一个与音频视频输出装置16(例如可以是一台电视机或适用于多媒体的PC机)的接口14。适配器装置10还包括一个内置的条件访问模块(CAM)，CAM通过一条双向数据总线22与控制单元12相连。适配器装置10还包括一个用于外部插入式CAM 26的插槽24，此插槽同样通过数据总线22与控制单元12相连。控制线30(它的作用将在下面说明)通过四个开关(在本实施例中被设计为多路复用器32)有选择性地将控制单元12连接到插槽24或内部CAM 20。多路复用器32的控制输入由一个传感器34通过控制线CD来寻址。传感器34检测CAM 26插入到插槽24中。在最简单的例子中，传感器可以实现为一个机械开关，当CAM插入到插槽24中时，开关触发。或者，任何其它能够通过机械、光学、磁、或其它任何方法和手段(例如通过监视电源线中为插槽所提供的电流)，检测到CAM存在于或插入到插槽24中的传感器都可以使用。控制线CD还控制一个脉冲发生器36，在此例中被集成到多路复用器32中，当插入或移出外部CAM 26时，此发生器通过控制线CD**向控制单元12发送一个特定的脉冲。
在内部操作过程中，即没有插入外部CAM 26的情况下，控制单元12从电视接收机16中接收编码数据流。以下假设，电视接收机16通过天线、电缆、卫星或一种类似的媒介来接收编码节目，并通过接口14将编码节目传送给适配器装置10。适配器装置10并不局限于本发明，其本身也可以配备一个接收机，或者适配器装置10可以被集成到电视接收机中。控制单元12通过数据总线22将编码数据流传送给内置的CAM 20，此CAM将数据解码，并进一步通过数据总线22将解密数据传送给控制单元12，以将它输送给电视接收机16。如果为内置的CAM 20配备一个用于智能卡42(包含用户的授权数据)的接口40，那么将具有很大的优越性。控制单元12通过控制线30(通过多路复用器32与CAM 20相连)控制CAM 20的功能。
将一个外部CAM插入到插槽24中将由传感器34检测到；更具优越性的是，还提供给这个外部CAM一个智能卡42’的接口。图2中图解说明了在插入和移出外部CAM时，控制线不同部分的信号时序，信号以图1中相应的控制线的附图标记来表示。插入的时刻在图2中由T1表示，移出的时刻由T2表示。当传感器34检测到一个插入的CAM 26后，它将控制线CD上的信号由“1”设置为“0”(图2中位置50)。由于这个信号边缘的作用，脉冲发生器36被触发，在控制线CD**上向控制单元12发送一个短脉冲52。同时，控制线CD上的脉冲边缘引起多路复用器32的切换。结果，从控制单元12到内部CAM 20的控制线被中断。作为这个的替换，插槽24的线WAIT和IRQ与控制单元12上相应的输入端相连。另一方面，导出控制单元的信号线RST和CE不再分别与信号线RST_CAM和CE_CAM相连而连接内部CAM24，而只是连接插槽24。与插槽24相连的线RST和CE不再经过多路复用器32发送，因为在没有外部CAM26的情况下，它们无论如何也不与插槽24联系。此时与内部CAM 20相连的控制线RST_CAM和CE_CAM根据一个逻辑“1”信号，通过多路复用器32与一个固定电压相连，因此信号“1”(图2中位置54、56)存在于相应的内部CAM 20的输入端。从而内部CAM 20被禁用了。不论初始化过程如何，内部CAM可能已经由控制单元12通过线CE上的信号“1”而预先关闭，这可以通过图2中的可选的可能信号边缘60来说明。
通过线CD**上的脉冲下降沿52，控制单元12被引发进行一次初始化过程。此初始化过程开始于控制单元12内部进行一次重启动。在这次重启动完成后，控制单元12在线RST上传送一个短脉冲62，根据这个短脉冲的下降沿CAM被重启动。现在外部的CAM 26被插入到插槽24中，同样被重启动。随后来自控制单元12的线CD上的一个信号“0”将启动CAM 26的功能。所解释的控制单元12的初始化过程与通常的多路复用器是相同的，通常的多路复用器在改变了插入式CAM卡的情况下，控制单元和CAM同样会重启动的。
在移出外部CAM 26(T2)的情况中，传感器34将线CD上的信号由“0”设置为“1”(图2中位置64)，因此多路复用器32进行切换并且脉冲发生器36再通过线CD**发送一个短脉冲66给控制单元12。
控制单元12做出的响应就是一次如上所述的初始化过程。但是在此情况下，与内部CAM 20相连的线RST_CAM和CE_CAM通过多路复用器32分别连接到控制单元12的控制线RST和CE，内部CAM20将被脉冲68重新启动，它的功能将分别被线CE和CE_CAM上的信号“0”启动。内部CAM的启动还可以是与在这之后的时间点上的初始化过程相独立的，这可以通过图2中的可选的可能信号边缘70来说明。
不管是连接了内部的CAM 20还是外部的CAM 26，对于控制单元12的工作是没有区别的。这就是为什么通常的控制单元(如它在已知的具有一个插槽的适配器装置中的使用那样)可以根据本发明用来制作适配器装置10。
这将在设计和制造根据本发明的适配器装置方面大大减少成本。
另外，根据本发明的适配器装置的第二种实施例中还可以提供多于一个的用于外部CAM的插槽。对于这种情况，某一个插槽与一个内部的CAM相连，如第一种实施例中所述。一旦外部的CAM插入到相关的插槽中，这个内部CAM将被关闭；否则它将可能与插入到其它插槽中的CAM一起被并行管理，就像插入到这个插槽中的外部CAM一样。就是以这种方式，可以为具有多个插槽的适配器装置提供一个内部CAM，同样不需要对控制单元进行修改。

Claims (5)

1.用于接收数字音频视频节目的适配器装置，包括：
-控制单元(12)，它包括至少一个与音频视频输出装置(16)的接口(14)；
-至少一个用于条件访问模块(26)的插槽，通过条件访问模块可以将编码节目解码；
-控制单元和插槽之间的双向数据总线(22)；
-控制单元和插槽之间的控制线(30)；
其特征在于：
-与数据总线相连的内置CAM(20)；
-用于检测CAM插入到插槽中的传感器(34)；
-在响应传感器(34)发来的信号时将控制线连接到插槽或内置CAM之一的开关(32)。
2.如权利要求1所述的适配器装置，其特征在于，内置的CAM(20)包括用于接收智能卡(42)的插槽(40)。
3.如权利要求1所述的适配器装置，其特征在于，开关(32)是受传感器(34)控制的多路复用器，在传感器(34)检测到CAM(26)插入到插槽中的情况下，开关将控制线(30)连接到插槽(24)，或者在没有CAM插入到插槽中的情况下，开关将控制线(30)连接到内置CAM(20)。
4.如权利要求1所述的适配器装置，其特征在于，为多个CAM提供了多个插槽。
5.如权利要求1所述的适配器装置，其特征在于，提供了脉冲发生器(36)，它与传感器(34)相连，并且当CAM被插入或移出时，脉冲发生器向控制单元(12)发送一个脉冲(52，66)。
