Abstract

Description

一种用于打印引擎的喷射机构
技术领域
本发明涉及一种打印引擎。本发明特别应用于具有即时打印功能的数码相机上,更确切地说,本发明涉及一种与用于打印引擎的喷射机构。
背景技术
本发明的打印引擎使用一种可以拆卸的打印盒。这个打印盒不仅负责向打印引擎提供墨水,而且还向页宽打印头上提供空气,用以吹去打印头喷嘴上的外来颗粒,防止其堵住喷墨设备。墨水和空气各自经进墨细管和进气细管送到打印头处。当打印盒从打印引擎上拆下时,这些细管就裸露于空气中,所以必须将这些细管的开孔封闭,以防止进入碎屑等杂物。
“页宽”是指打印头在打印介质上一次打印一行,而且在打印介质经过打印头时,打印头不在打印介质上横向滑动或光栅化。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种用于打印引擎的喷射机构,该机构包括:
一个支撑构件,上面带有多个流体导管,用来向打印引擎的打印头提供各种流体,其中一个液体导管是用来向打印头输送空气的空气导管;
一个密封装置,它可以相对于支撑构件移动。当该装置位于第一位置时,可以将液体导管的进孔封闭,而当其移动到第二个位置时,流体导管的进孔打开,与其各自的流体源连通;
一个推动装置,该装置的功能是作用于密封装置,将其推到第一位置。
支撑装置上可以带有一个供墨机构,上面带有液体导管,用来向打印头输送墨水。
因为打印头可以使用不同种类的墨水来进行打印,机构中有多个独立的供给每一种类型的墨水的液体导管和空气导管。确切地说,打印头可以打印四种不同颜色的墨水(篮绿色、深红色、黄色和黑色)、或者是打印三种颜色的墨水(篮绿色、深红色和黄色)再加上第四种只能在红外光谱下可见的红外墨水。
每一个流体导管可以是一个的细管,一端是封闭的,而且在管侧壁上至少留出一个进孔。如果需要的话,至少可以在墨水导管侧壁上留出两个相对的孔。
密封装置可以带有一个由弹性测量材料制成的密封构件,该构件上留出了多个孔,每个孔的大小正好可以容纳与其相对应的细管。
密封构件上对应每一个供墨细管都有一个小孔,在该密封装置的外表面上留出密封供气细管的一块平面。
密封构件可以装在一个模塑件上,这个模塑件可以相对于支撑构件移动。
这个模塑件可以挂装在一个支撑构件上。
推动装置可以是一个夹在支撑构件和模塑件之间的螺旋弹簧。

具体实施方式
在图纸中,附图标记500通常是指符合本发明的打印引擎,打印引擎500带有一个打印引擎组件502,其中装有一个可拆卸的打印盒504。
在我们公告的名称为“打印盒”(备案号CA02)及“墨水盒”(备案号CA04)的同类专利申请中详细描述了该打印盒504,上述两个专利是同时申请的,其国际专利申请号分别为PCT/AU00/00741和PCT/AU00/00742,这里专门结合其内容以做参考。
打印引擎组件502上带有一个分组件506和第二个分组件508。
分组件506上有一个底盘510,底盘510有一个模塑件512,其上有供墨管514。打印盒504中的墨水经由供墨管514送入打印头分组件508上的打印头516(图5、6、7)。打印头516可以用四种颜色的墨水打印也可以用三种颜色的墨水再加上第四种只有在红外光谱下可见的墨水(以下称为红外墨水)来进行打印。相应地,就需要在模塑件512上预制出4个供墨管514及一个供气管518,空气由供气管518吹向打印头516,以防止外界的颗粒在打印头516的喷嘴护板上堆积。
底盘510上还有另一个盖状模塑件520,其上装有一个泵522。泵522是一个抽气泵,由该泵产生吸力,使空气通过进气孔细管524和进气孔526后,经由打印盒504中的空气过滤器。空气由出气孔528排出,提供给底盘510上的供气管518。
底盘510上还装有第一个驱动电机A,该电机是一个步进电机530,通过第一个轮系532来驱动泵522。该步进电机530还通过第二个轮系538来与打印盒504上的滚轮组件536中的主动滚轮534(图5)相连。轮系538与装在主动滚轮534的一端上的可啮合部件540(图2)啮合,因而使步进电机530可以控制向分组件508上打印头516中输送打印介质542的进给,从而实现当介质在打印头516下通过时,在上面打印图像。要注意,当在打印介质542上进行打印时,步进电机530只负责驱动打印介质542,而泵522只负责向打印头516吹气。
底盘510上的模塑件512上安装有多个供墨导管,即与供墨管514相通的细管544,供墨细管544贯穿于打印盒504上用弹性测量材料制成的凸缘组件546当中,用于从打印盒504的墨水腔或存储格548(图5)中抽取墨水以提供给打印头516。
底盘510上的盖状模塑件520上的第二个用夹钳552固定的电机,即直流电机550,该电机用来驱动切割装置——刀轮臂组件554,在完成图像在打印介质上的打印后,将其与剩余的打印介质切开。电机550的输出轴上带有一个斜齿轮556,斜齿轮556与刀轮组件554的蜗轮560上带有的斜齿轮558啮合。蜗轮560通过轴承562装在打印头分组件508的底盘底板564上,可以转动。
刀轮组件554带有一个刀轮566,该刀轮安装在安装架570的弹性软臂568上。蜗轮560从安装架570旁经过的过程为:当蜗轮560转动时,安装架570和刀轮566从底盘底板564处横向经过。安装架570与底板564的盖572贴在一起,以阻止安装架570相对于蜗轮560转动。而且,刀轮566紧贴着打印头分组件508的上壳或盖部件,以有效切割打印介质542。盖部件574是金属的,因而当刀轮566从盖状部件处经过时,形成一个类似于剪刀的动作,将已打上图像的打印介质同其余部分切开。
分组件506带有一个喷射机构576,喷射机构576装在底盘510上并且上面有一个带夹子580的凸缘578,通过这个凸缘578将喷射机构576夹在底盘510上,与其贴在一起。凸缘578处装有一个由弹性测量材料制成的插件582,插件上留出了多开口584,将细管544上的进孔封闭,以阻止外面的颗粒进入到细管544中,并由此进入管514和打印头516中。此外插件584表面形成的面或平台586将进气细管524堵住,起到与上述相同的封闭作用。
底盘510和凸缘578之间装有一个螺旋弹簧588,在图3到图10中可以清楚地看到:当打印盒504从打印引擎500上拆下时,该螺旋弹簧588将凸缘578推到一个与底盘510隔开的位置。图4中所示的喷射机构处于收起的位置。
上面已经提到:打印头分组件508带有一个底板564,装在底板564上的盖顶机构590是可以移动的,可以移向或移离打印头516。盖顶机构590上带有一个细长的肋状凸缘592,设置在载架593上,载架593装在位移机构594上,当打印头516不工作时,该位移机构移动肋状凸缘592,用它来与打印头516对接。反过来,当打印头516工作时,该位移机构产生动作,使肋状凸缘592回缩,从而与打印头516分开。
打印头分组件508上带有一个打印头支撑模塑件596,打印头516就安装在上面。该模塑件596与模塑件596上的肋状凸缘599形成了一个通道598,当在打印介质上打印图像时,打印介质由此处通过。模塑件596上有一个凹槽700,当盖顶机构590处于其盖顶位置时,盖顶机构590由槽700处伸出来。
进墨装置702安装在插件599上,位于盖部件574的下面。进墨装置702上带有一个脊面形部件704,并且在部件704上装有一个铸件706,脊形部件704和铸件706之间形成了一个墨水进给纵槽708,该纵槽与底盘510上的供墨管514相通,墨水经由这里(图7)送往打印头516。
打印头516旁边的脊形部分704上有一个供气管711(图8)。
电信号经由磁带自动连接膜片712传送到打印头516,磁带自动连接膜片712挂置于插件599和进墨装置702之间。
模塑件596上带有一个有角度的翼状部件714,一个柔性印刷电路板(PCB)716安装并固定在翼状部件714上。插件599上的肋状凸缘718推动柔性印刷电路板716与磁带自动连接膜片712接触,使两者导通。柔性印刷电路板716上装有排线720,用来向打印头516和打印引擎500的其它带电部件供电。此外,柔性印刷电路板716上带有一个像机打印引擎控制芯片721和一个质量控制芯片(未画出),质量控制芯片可以识别打印盒504与打印引擎500的兼容性和适用性。为此,印刷电路板716上带有一个触头723,与打印盒504中的触头725相接合。
从图7中可以清楚地看到:打印头本身带有一个喷嘴护板722,安装在硅晶片724上。墨水经由供墨构件726提供给打印头516的喷嘴阵(未画出。,需要供墨时,供墨构件726与进墨装置702的墨水通道710上的出口接通,将墨水送往打印头516的喷嘴阵。
因而,这种喷射机构576的发明是非常有用的:当将打印盒504从打印引擎上拆下时,螺旋弹簧推动该机构,通过凸缘578将供气细管524和细管544的进孔封闭。
同样也可以看出:为了使打印引擎500的结构更紧凑,将打印引擎组件502的大部分部件都置于打印盒504一端的槽内,使其尺寸更小。
此外,由于所使用的喷射机构是机械的,这样就减少了打印引擎500中的功率消耗部件的数量,从而使打印引擎500的结构更紧凑。
本领域的技术人员知道:在不背离本发明的精髓和保护范围的前题下,可以对给出的实施方式进行各种变动和/或修改。因而无论从哪一方面来讲,都应将当前给出的实施仅视为说明性的和非限定性的。

Claims (9)

1、一种用于打印引擎的喷射机构,该机构包括:
一个带有多个流体导管,用来向打印引擎的打印头提供各种流体的支撑构件,其中一个液体导管是向打印头输送空气的空气导管;
一个相对于支撑构件可移动的,当位于第一位置时,密封液体导管的进孔,而当移动到第二个位置时,将流体导管的进孔打开,与其各自的流体源连通密封装置;
一个作用于密封装置并将其推到第一位置的推动装置。
2、如权利要求1所述的喷射机构,其特征是,支撑装置带有一个向打印头输送墨水的液体导管的供墨构件。
3、如权利要求2所述的喷射机构,其特征是,打印头使用不同种类的墨水来进行打印,所述机构中有多个独立的供给每一种类型的墨水的液体导管和空气导管。
4、如权利要求3所述的喷射机构,其特征是,流体导管是一端封闭,而且在侧壁上至少留出一个进孔的供应细管。
5、如权利要求4所述的喷射机构,其特征是,密封装置带有一个由弹性测量材料制成的密封构件,该构件上留出了多个孔,每个孔的大小正好可以容纳与其相对应的细管。
6、如权利要求5中的喷射机构,其特征是,密封构件上对应每一个供墨细管都有一个小孔,在该密封装置的外表面上留出密封供气细管的一块平面。
7、如权利要求5所述的喷射机构,其特征是,密封构件安装在一个模塑件上,这个模塑件可以相对于支撑构件移动。
8、如权利要求7所述的喷射机构,其特征是,模塑件挂装在一个支撑构件上。
9、如权利要求8所述的喷射机构,其特征是,推动装置是一个夹在支撑构件和模塑件之间的螺旋弹簧。
