Abstract

分布式数据库的管理方法
技术领域
本发明涉及分布式数据库的管理和更新，特别是在付费电视解码器网络的管理，以及允许存取这些数据库。
背景技术
在一个包含一个管理中心以及分布在广袤土地上的多个用户的系统中，每一个用户都有一个用户数据库，公知的是通过卫星或电缆，利用电磁破传送管理信息和更新这些用户的数据库。这些信息被提供给或者是所有用户，或者是一个特定用户，或者是一组用户。
管理中心有一个能够将用户逻辑地址与其物理地址相关联的解释器，因此能够与分布在用户数据库中的信息组相联系。因此，一个中心上游的系统请求，例如用户管理系统，可以存取任意一个用户的数据库内容，而不必知道其物理地址。
根据此构造，传输可以在反方向进行，也就是说用户管理系统可以通过管理中心所具有的接口来查询任何一个用户数据库。该操作只是对于在用户模块和管理中心之间具有一个返回信道的情况下才是可能的。
当这涉及更新一个或多个数据库时，中心接收要处理的信息，并且确定用户数据库的物理地址，以便能够通过或者是卫星，或者是电缆，或者是电磁波连接来与其建立链接。
用户数据库的内容反映了用户可以存取的不同的预定以及业务。分配器所提供的业务在近些年来飞速地发展，并且仅能提供一个或另一个信道的预约的时代已经改变了。
为满足客户需求的提供不断地动态变化。
为此，趋向于为客户提供个性化的服务的新需求出现了，也就是说根据以前的消费，地理位置，隶属于一个组(有家庭的，独身的，学生，等等)等准则来提供服务。这一概念当所有能够确定用户简档的元素在单一的数据库中可以被存取时是很容易的，但当这些信息分布在大量的数据库中时就很困难了。
另外，由于某些类型的系统不能使用朝向管理中心的返回信道，因此管理中心很难知道其所发送的信息是否正确地到达。因此，就不得不周期性的重复这些信息，以保证至少有一次信息是正确地到达了目的地。
我们可以很容易地想象其结果，在使用大量用户，例如2到3百万，的一个系统中，这些信息的重复会迅速使得传输容量饱和。
在一个付费电视系统中，传输通道多数是用于传输数字数据，而向用户数据库传输的管理信息只能占据非常小的位置。
发明内容
因此，本发明的目的是能够建立复杂的用户简档并且朝向分布式数据库以最压缩的方式传输它们。
该目的可以通过一个分布式数据库管理中心来达到，它包括一个主数据库，在其中装有分布式数据库组影像(image)。该管理中心不仅可以根据数据库的影像的内容执行操作，而且也可以根据分布在多个数据库中的数据进行操作。主数据库还包括用户信息，这些信息不必被容纳在用户数据库中。
通过操作，传输到一个或一组数据库以便修改其内容。
因此，由于该结构，就可以通过用户管理系统提供的服务来确定所涉及的数据库。
该确定可以在例如当我们希望根据一个在用户组上收集的点系统来分配服务时，通过比较多个数据库来实现。
根据该例子，一个组可以被定义，它可以表示一个机构，例如一个医院，它可以拥有大量用户数据库和用户模块。在此情况下，一个免费的服务件被提供给该组中的成员，这并不是根据一个单一的数据库中的数据，而是根据一组数据库所作出的处理结果。
根据背景技术的解决方案实际上并不能执行这样的操作，因为这些操作的参数被分配在多个数据库中。
公知的用户数据管理系统只能够通过管理中心，根据系统本身所定义的寻址规则来寻址一个或一些分布式数据库。这些规则是单一的地址，一组的地址或者所有数据库的地址。

在图1上，它示出了背景技术，SMS(Subscriber ManagementSystem(用户管理系统))与管理中心CAS(Conditional Access System(条件存取系统))会话，以便存取分布式数据库DB的其中之一。CAS中心用作在用于SMS的高层和用于数据库DB的低层之间的地址转换器。

CAS的另一个重要任务是支持与数据库的通信协议。
在图2上，根据发明的CAS包括一个每一个与其接触的数据库的影像。SMS的请求首先被CAS处理，它确定相关的那个或那些数据库。根据发明的CAS能够在分布式数据库的影像上进行逻辑操作，以便满足由SMS确定的条件。
因此，根据发明的一个实施例，SMS系统对于一个数据区请求阻止传输解码。这在例如当该区域是体育竞赛的内容时被使用，以便激励观众，不是期望他们看电视，而是去现场。
在此情况下，SMS在特定的地理区域和时间内传送一个阻止(blackout)请求。区域的信息可以含有一个邮政编码表，一段邮政编码(开始-结束)，或地区，例如一个部门，一个地区或一个国家的指代。
CAS确定该请求所涉及的用户数据库的整体，并且根据管理用户数据库的模块所支持的协议，将这些信息传送给这些数据库。
实际上，所支持的协议可以根据用户数据库管理模块的产生而有不同特性。第一个产生的协议只识别两种类型地址，或者是一个数据库DB的单一地址，或者没有地址，也就是说针对数据库DB的整体。
也可以引入一个变化，包括根据邮政编码或根据一个邮政编码段的地址。
如果SMS定义了其它的规则，对于CAS只需单独寻址每一个DB。
由数据库DB所支持的协议的最近发展包括改进的功能，通过它，数据库的更新可以以容纳在数据库中的参数为条件。因此，根据协议类型，确定用户组的条件可以被直接传送给数据库，数据库自己确定是否它满足该条件。
根据发明的CAS向SMS提供这种类型指令以使得提供个人化的服务。因此对于SMS可以向它为其提供多于一年的频道A的所有用户提供一个月期限的新频道B的使用权。CAS通过使用容纳在主数据库中的这些数据库的影像来确定所涉及的数据库，并且将该条件传送给用户模块。
用户模块执行一个条件操作，并且根据结果(频道A多于一年)更新数据库，以便包含频道B的解码权。
根据发明的CAS的另一个方面是确定依赖于多个数据库的规则。前述例子涉及了根据一个或多个规则来处理仅一个用户数据库。
根据一个付费电视的实施例，可以用信用卡来购买服务。用户在其数据库中具有一个信用，它可以用于不付费而观看其选择的发送。
当我们考虑用户模块整体时，可以期望向其提供特殊的根据组整体消费确定的服务。因此这需要累计每一个组成员的购买，以便获得例如对于免费服务的获得所确定的条件。
根据发明的CAS具有用于执行对于数据库影像组的启动操作的装置，以便确定所希望的准则。如果条件被满足，一个容纳有所考虑组的名称和所提供的服务的传输将被启动。
如果相反，条件未被满足，CAS将向SMS返回对应的信息。

Claims (4)

1、一种对与至少一个管理中心(CAS)相连的分布式数据库(DB)组的更新和管理方法，包括下列步骤：
-在位于管理中心(CAS)中的中央数据库中存储所述数据库(DB)的影像，
-通过管理中心接收一个更新一个或多个数据库的条件指令，
-通过所述数据库的影像来确定满足条件的数据库，并且
-如果至少涉及一个数据库，就根据这些数据库所支持的协议向它们传送指令。
2、根据权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于该确定通过将包括在数据库影像中的信息相结合来执行。
3、分布式数据库(DB)组的管理中心，包括一个朝向用户管理系统(SMS)的接口，一个朝向数据库(DB)的接口，以及一个在数据库物理地址和逻辑之间的转换单元，其特征在于中心(CAS)包括一个容纳有数据库(DB)影像的主数据库。
4、根据权利要求3所述的管理中心，其特征在于它包括用于通过用户管理系统接口来接收更新条件指令的装置，用于通过所建立的所述数据库的影像来确定满足条件的数据库的装置，以及用于根据这些数据库所支持的协议向它们传送指令的装置。
