发明描述
通过使6,7-二氢-1,2,3,4,5-五甲基化茚(公开并要求权利于美国专利号4,902,840)与甲醛反应制备本发明的新化合物。优选将甲醛稀释到约20-50,优选30-40,最优选约37重量百分数。优选在反应中使用酸性催化剂。优选酸是无机酸,如硫酸或盐酸,最优选是以浓缩形式提供的。优选进行该方法的方法是通过将组分在提高的温度(约50-120℃,优选约65-110℃,最优选约105℃)下回流。
本发明的化合物具有强烈的麝香味,具有甜、粉状、香的和硝酸麝香(nitromusk)的特征。
本发明的化合物可广泛的用于目前的香水产品,包括制备香水和古龙水,使个人护理产品(如肥皂、沐浴凝胶和护发产品)发香以及制备空气清新剂和化妆品。本发明还可用于芳香的清洁剂,例如(但不限于)去污剂、餐具洗涤材料、洗涤组合物、窗户清洁剂等。
在这些制备物中,本发明的化合物可单独使用或与其它发香组合物、溶剂、佐剂等联用。还可使用的天然和各种其它材料是本领域技术人员已知的。
在本发明中可使用许多种香料,唯一的限制是与所使用的其它组分的兼容性。合适的香料包括但不限于水果(如杏仁、苹果、樱桃、葡萄、梨、菠萝、桔子、草莓、悬钩子);麝香,花香(如熏衣草样、玫瑰样、鸢尾样、洋石竹样)。其它怡人的香味包括来自松树、云衫和其它森林气味的草本植物和森林香。香料可衍生自各种油,如精油或其它植物材料,如薄荷、留兰香等。
美国专利号4,534,891提供了合适香料的表,其内容在此完整引入以供参考。其它合适香料的来源可在香水、化妆品和肥皂,第二版,W.A.Poucher编,1959中找到。在该论文中提供的香料有金合欢、肉桂、西普香水、仙客来、蕨类、栀子花、山楂、向日葵、忍冬、风信子、茉莉、丁香、百合、木兰、含羞草、水仙、新鲜收割的干草、桔子花、兰花、木犀草、香豌豆、三叶草、晚香玉、香草、紫罗兰、桂足香等。
应理解嗅觉可感受量是指化合物在香水组合物中的量,该量使单独的组分能对其特别的嗅觉特征起作用,但香水组合物的嗅觉效果是各香水或香料成分效果的总和。因此可用本发明的化合物改变香水组合物的芳香特征,或改变组合物中其它成分提供的嗅觉反应。该量将根据许多因素(包括其它成分、它们的相对量和所需效果)而不同。
在发香物中使用的本发明化合物的水平在约0.005-10重量百分数,优选在约0.5-8重量百分数,最优选在1-7重量百分数范围内变化。除了化合物,可联合香料使用其它试剂。还可使用其它熟知材料,如表面活性剂、乳化剂、用于包裹香料的聚合物,而不超出本发明的范围。
另一种超出报道发香组合物中本发明的化合物水平(即为了获得所需香味,而将化合物按材料的重量百分数加入)的方法。本发明的化合物的范围可以是加香组合物的约0.005-70重量百分数,优选约0.1-50重量百分数,最优选约0.2-25重量百分数。本领域技术人员能使用所需水平的本发明的化合物,提供所需的香味和强度。
下面是本发明的具体实施例。本领域技术人员对于本发明的其它修改能容易理解。可理解这些修改在本发明的范围内。除非另外说明,本文所用的本发明的百分数是重量百分数,应理解ppm是指百万分之一,g指克。实施例中所用的IFF指国际香料和香精公司。
实施例1
4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9b-八氢-7,7,8,9,9-五甲基-二氢化茚并[4,5-d]-二氧芑的制备
在108℃回流加热4小时700克37%重量的甲醛、60克浓硫酸和600克含40%重量的6,7-二氢-1,1,2,3,3-五甲基化茚、10%重量的六氢-1,1,2,3,3-五甲基化茚和40%重量的1,1,2,3,3,-五甲基化茚的溶液的混合物。然后将混合物冷却到50℃。在混合物中加入甲苯(400克)和10%HCl(500毫升)。丢弃水层,用500毫升10%碳酸钠溶液洗涤两次。
蒸馏有机层回收甲苯和290克含六氢-1,1,2,3,3-五甲基化茚、1,1,2,3,3-五甲基茚(沸点94-104℃,2mm)和179克4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9b-八氢-7,7,8,9,9-五甲基化茚并[4,5-d]-二氧芑(沸点120-125℃,3mm)的混合物。
4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9b-八氢-7,7,8,9,9-五甲基-二氢化茚并[4,5-d]-二氧芑的核磁共振谱如下:0.81-1.10ppm(ms,15H)、1.16-2.35ppm(m,5H)、3.81-4.08ppm(m,3H)、4.62ppm(m,1H)、4.86ppm(d,1H)。
实施例2
将4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9b-八氢-7,7,8,9,9-五甲基-二氢化茚并[4,5-d]-二氧芑掺入香料组合物
根据下列配方制备了香料:

Claims (7)

1.化合物4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9b-八氢-7,7,8,9,9-五甲基-二氢化茚并[4,5-d]-二氧芑。
2.制备权利要求1所述的化合物的方法,其特征在于,使6,7-二氢-1,2,3,4,5-五甲基化茚与含水甲醛在无机酸催化剂的存在下,在65-110℃下反应。
3.如权利要求1所述的化合物,其特征在于,该化合物掺入香料组合物。
4.一种改善、增强或修饰香料的气味特征的方法,其特征在于,该方法是掺入嗅觉可感受量的4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,9b-八氢-7,7,8,9,9-五甲基-二氢化茚并[4,5-d]-二氧芑。
5.如权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,将香料掺入选自香水、古龙水、花露水、个人护理产品、清洁产品和空气清新剂的产品中。
6.如权利要求4所述的方法,其特征在于,所述清洁产品选自去污剂、餐具洗涤组合物、洗涤化合物和窗户清洁剂。
7.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,所述产品是个人护理产品。
