Abstract
One embodiment of the present invention is a composition having enhanced film-forming properties. The composition of the present invention contains at least one polysaccharide resin and (b) a film-forming agent other than the at least one polysaccharide resin. Cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions containing the compositions of the invention may be transfer resistant, abrasion resistant and water resistant. The cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions of the present invention can also form films which are flexible and do not fall off or shatter.
Description
The present invention relates to compositions, especially cosmetic composition that film property and dispersibility improve.Cosmetic composition of the present invention contain at least a polysaccharide resins and have one or more characteristics such as anti-transfer, wear-resisting, flexible and be easy to the coating. The present invention relates to contain the cosmetics and the drug products of this compositions.
Many painted cosmetic composition such as foundation cream, concealer, mascara, eye-liner and sunscreen of containing can stay the brittle film that the soft oil film that very easily shifts or formation can be peeled off or pulverize. Both of these case all causes the best persistency of said composition to reduce, and user needs to use repeatedly. For example, these compositionss when with some holder (as glass, teacup, medicated clothing or skin) can be when contacting attached to its surface (adhering to small part). In case adhere to, compositions is just left a trace on holder.
The cosmetic composition of anti-transfers more known in the art; But these compositions major parts all require further improvement.Known in the art being called " prevents shifting (transfer-free) ", and cosmetics comprise fatty material, volatile oil (especially volatile silicone oils and/or volatile hydrocarbon oil) usually in their composition. Therefore, most of these anti-metastatic compositions do not possess good film forming characteristics. For example, many these anti-compositions major parts that shift all are clamminess, and therefore the application and the spreadability of this compositions still need be improved.
Forming reason of failure film is that the anti-cosmetics that shift need use compound compositions, wherein the oily volatilized property solvent of part substitutes, these volatile solvents will volatilize with contact skin the time, stay the thin layer that is made of wax and/or resin, pigment, filler and activating agent substantially.Except the difficulty relevant with using the volatile compound preparation, this solution also has other shortcomings: powdering after the cosmetic and lacklustre effect.
Other compositions stays the brittle diaphragm that can come off and pulverize after use.The holder of cosmetic composition is natural bending and coiling as skin and hair. But the hard or brittle diaphragm that used film former use back, this area forms can not crooked or stretching. Therefore, especially when these preparations were used for setting or moulding such as hair or eyelashes, because their easily crisp characteristic, these compositionss were peeled off or are fallen down.
Still existing needs a kind of stable cosmetic composition that contains anti-transfer and pliability film former to be used for setting and moulding, and said composition does not have good cosmetic properties and is easy to makeup, level and smooth and even film forming, comfortable, easy makeup removing when using, and oily, sticking and do not take off woman's persona. The purpose of this invention is to provide cosmetic composition with these characteristics as much as possible.
Except the defective of many film former, in the formulation preparation process of cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, also there is another problem, promptly constitute the dispersion of the composition of compositions. In order to obtain the good distribution or the dispersion of composition, need the cost plenty of time and the energy. The homodisperse of forming cosmetics or pharmaceutical composition composition will improve (comprising the dispersion of pigment) characteristic of compositions, as brighter, glossiness is better, between-lot the is stable improvement of the improvement of effect, color, still less lump and the required energy is still less when mixing.
The competent dispersion of pigment will improve the character of color make-up.This area has many products to can be used as the pigment dispersant, comprises KAMA KM13 (can from KAMA International Corp., the polysaccharide resins that Duluth, GA buy).Moistening (wetting) effect that KM13 can reduce the viscosity that contains colorant composition and improve pigment, thus color, glossiness and blended simple and easy degree improved.Know that also KM13 is formed on the thin film of air drying. But polysaccharide resins is water miscible, and this is unfavorable for the film former as anti-transfer or wear-resistant composition to a certain extent.
Therefore, except the compositions of the film former that contains improvement, also need a kind of compositions easier and more effective dispersive composition that contains. As mentioned above, the use of more effective disperse additive will improve the characteristic of cosmetics and drug products, and make it more even.

It is that 4% polysaccharide resins is the purposes of KAMA KM13 in mascara that PCT/US98/10617 discloses with respect to compositions gross weight concentration.Inventor of the present invention also discloses when the amount of polysaccharide resins can observe curling effect during more than or equal to 5% (preferably for more than or equal to 10%) of compositions gross weight. This curling effect is surprising, can not obtain with the existing conventional film former in this area. For example, polysaccharide resins KAMA KM13 is mixed with the mascara that contains the hydroxyethyl-cellulose film former. When being low to moderate 10%KM 13, existence in the mascara observes curling effect. The same preparation that does not comprise KM13 does not then have this curling effect. Therefore, in one embodiment, the present invention can produce the compositions of curling effect, contains at least a polysaccharide resins with the amount with respect to compositions gross weight 5% to 50%.
Therefore, relate to the method that go up to produce curling effect at keratin fiber (as eyelashes) in the practical application of the present invention, this method comprises that the mode that moves with prying will contain at least a polysaccharide resins and at least a film former except that described at least a polysaccharide resins is applied on the keratin fiber.Setting or moulding except that volume sticks up if desired, move mode brushing that can be different.
But repetitive administration compositions of the present invention is to strengthen required shape or effect. But most of mascara can not cover the mode brushing of one deck with one deck.In other words, by brushing in layer, conventional mascara can not be controlled the growth effect of mascara on eyelashes.
Therefore, in another embodiment of the present invention, available compositions of the present invention is controlled at the extension on the keratin fiber (as eyelashes) or increases effect. At least a film former except that described at least a polysaccharide resins strengthens the anti-transfer effect of said composition. This compositions also contains volatile solvent and/or hard microsphere particle, with the auxiliary repetitive administration of mascara on keratin fiber, this two kinds of compositions will be discussed below.
Therefore, one embodiment of the present of invention are the mascaras that contain at least a polysaccharide resins, at least a described polysaccharide resins film former, at least a volatile solvent and at least a microsphere particle in addition. The combined amount that the moulding composition exists is controlled the growth effect of mascara on keratin fiber effectively. But one deck covers this growth form mascara of one deck ground brushing. The mascara that the amount by the mascara used or the number of times of brushing are controlled the eyelash growing effect also belongs within the scope of the invention.
Therefore, in another embodiment, the present invention relates to by being coated with brushing eyelash with the compositions that contains at least a polysaccharide resins, at least a film former, at least a volatile solvent and at least a microsphere particle except that described at least a polysaccharide resins, control the method for the growth effect of mascara product on eyelashes, wherein use said composition up to realizing required length or volume effect.
In the growth form mascara preparations, use volatile solvent also to allow the drying aid time to reuse fast.Volatile solvent in the practical application of the present invention comprises that (but being not restricted to) alcohol is as ethanol, silicone, petroleum distillate and isoparaffin.
In the growth form mascara preparations, use microsphere particle, to strengthen level and smooth sense and compositions repetitive administration (when said composition is used in the mode of one deck covering one deck) at distribution on the keratin fiber or auxiliary mascara.Microsphere chemical compound in the practical application of the present invention comprises polyurethanes such as BPD 500, nylon 12, silicon oxide, polymethyl methacrylate and other acrylate or methacrylate and their ester and other microsphere.
The use of polysaccharide resins pigment dispersing characteristic also is within the scope of the present invention. For example, available polysaccharide resins of the present invention improves the dispersion and the uniformity of other composition in cosmetics or the drug products, thereby the effect of higher active component is provided.Be not wishing to be bound by theory, the improvement of dispersibility can make the more uniform covering of active component, thus the better effects if of active component.
