Abstract
一种线缆连接器,包含一对通用串行端口总线连接器、一对设于连接器侧边的锁钩及设于连接器盖体外表面的接地杆。每一锁钩具有与该连接器外壳电性连接的第一支臂及从盖体伸出的第二支臂。接地杆包括一基部,另有一对从基部伸出的导电垂片伸入盖体中并与上述连接器的外壳电性连接。当线缆连接器与对接电子装置接合时,上述锁钩和接地杆与对接电子装置的接地平板电性连接,从而将连接器的导电性外壳连接至一参考电位。
Description
本实用新型是一种线缆连接器,特别是指一种具有一对接地锁钩及一接地杆,可与对接电子装置的接地平板连接以降低电磁干扰的线缆连接器。
线缆连接器一般用以连接电子装置至外围设备,如连接个人计算机与打印机。线缆连接器通常由一导电性外壳遮蔽以保护信号免受外界电磁干扰,该导电性外壳必须接地以释放静电及提供电磁屏蔽防护(EMI)。但现有线缆连接器的导电性外壳没有足够的接地接触点以可靠地连接至参考电位,静电也不能确实可靠地得以排除,以致于不能达到其防止电磁干扰的效果;而且,现有线缆连接器缺少既能提供接地作用又能作为一种锁钩稳固地连接线缆连接器与对应电子设备的装置。本实用新型即可解决以上现有技术的缺点。
本实用新型的首要目的在于提供一种线缆连接器,该线缆连接器可与对接电子装置的接地平板及一参考电位相连接,以减少线缆连接器中的电磁干扰。
本实用新型的目的是这样实现的:线缆连接器包括一对通用串行端口总线连接器及与该对通用串行端口总线连接器相连的线缆终端、一对设于通用串行端口总线连接器侧边的导电性锁钩、遮盖通用串行端口总线连接器的盖体及设于盖体外表面的接地杆。每一锁钩均呈V字形,具有与该通用串行端口总线连接器导电性外壳电性连接的第一支臂,及从盖体伸出并与对接电子装置的接地平板机械及电性连接的第二支臂。该接地杆包括位于盖体上的基部,另有一对从基部伸出的导电垂片伸入盖体中与上述通用串行端口总线连接器的导电性外壳电性连接。
通过上述技术方案,当线缆连接器与对接电子装置接合时,上述锁钩和接地杆与对接电子装置的接地平板电性连接,而使通用串行端口总线连接器的导电性外壳与一参考电位相连,从而静电得以确实可靠地排除,使传输信号免受外界电磁干扰,从而有效地达到电磁屏蔽防护的效果。
下面结合附图和实施例对本实用新型作进一步说明。
图1是本实用新型线缆连接器及与其对接的计算机主机的立体图。
图2是本实用新型线缆连接器的立体分解图。
图3是图1所示线缆连接器与主机的接地板处于未接合状态的立体图。
图4是本实用新型线缆连接器上盖移除后的内部结构图。
图5是沿图3A-A线的剖面图,以显示线缆连接器的导电性外壳与计算机主机的接地平板之间的接地路径。
请参照图1、图2,本实用新型是一种与一电子装置(如图中所示的计算机主机2)电性连接的线缆连接器1,可在电子装置与其外围设备间传送信号。该电子装置2设有机壳21,两个第一连接器22收容于机壳21中,接地平板23设于机壳21的后缘,该接地平板23可由现有技术以一般的方式与一参考接地电位相连。由于机壳21与第一连接器22是采用行业中现有的技术,所以在此省略进一步的描述。接地平板23有一纵向开口24,紧邻开口24的四个角落分别形成四个凸块25,在开口24相对横向侧边的两相邻凸块25之间开有一凹口26,以使线缆连接器1能与接地平板23可靠地连接。
请参照图2,本实用新型线缆连接器1包括一对第二连接器10(本实施例中为通用串行总线连接器)、与该对第二连接器10相连的线缆终端20及遮盖上述第二连接器10与线缆终端20的盖体30,接地装置包括一对导电性锁钩40及部分地收容于盖体30中的第一、第二接地杆50、51,每一第二连接器10一般具有一屏蔽壳12遮蔽在绝缘壳体及端子(未标号)外以保护传输的信号免受外界的电磁干扰。第二连接器10与线缆终端20为现有技术,所以在此不作详细说明。
盖体30包括一上盖32及一下盖34,需收容于盖体30中的组件被正确定位之后,上盖32及下盖34可由螺钉螺帽或超声波焊接或其它方法组固。上盖32与下盖34在结构上依相互对应的关系设计,所以只需说明下盖34就可以推知上盖32的构造。下盖34包括一基体36及从基体36垂直向上延伸的外侧壁38。基体36的内表面366上形成一对狭槽362,并且在紧邻每一狭槽362的地方又形成一向里凹进的凹槽364。基体36的外表面上进一步设有一凸肋39。在外侧壁38的相对两侧壁上分别设置一槽道382以收纳前述导电性锁钩40。
每一导电性锁钩40大致呈“V”形,包括从一共同基点(未标号)延伸出的第一支臂42及第二支臂44,第一支臂42的弹性悬臂422朝远离第二支臂44的方向偏转,而第二支臂44的自由末端444的相对两侧均有一“V”字形切口442。
第一及第二接地杆50、51两者结构也相似,所以这里只描述第一接地杆50,第二接地杆51的结构可以参考第一接地杆而得知。第一接地杆50包括一断面呈U形的纵向基部52及一对由基部52延伸的垂片54。该对垂片54之间的距离与下盖34上的两狭槽362之间的距离相等,以便使该对垂片54能正确地对应插入狭槽362中。
请进一步参照图3与图4,组装过程中第二及第一接地杆51、50被分别组装到上、下盖32、34中。例如,第一接地杆50的U形基部52与下盖34的凸肋39相嵌合,第一接地杆的两垂片54通过两狭槽362进入下盖34,然后垂片54向下弯曲收容于基体36的凹槽364中,这样垂片54的自由末端就可以和第二连接器10的屏蔽壳12相接触。同样地,也可以通过将线缆终端20的导线202与第二连接器10的端子(图中未示)焊接在一起而使线缆终端20与第二连接器10电性连接。该两个第二连接器10被并排放置在下盖34中,屏蔽盖12的底部与第一接地杆50的垂片54的自由末端相邻,而使屏蔽盖12通过第一接地杆50相连接。导电性锁钩40被组装到下盖34,第一支臂42嵌入下盖34上的槽道382,第二支臂44朝远离下盖34的方向侧向延伸。弹性悬臂422分别紧邻于两第二连接器10的屏蔽壳12的侧壁延伸。
再把上盖32与下盖34通过前述的现有方法组合到一起,形成两个连接口(未标号),线缆连接器1可以通过该连接口与对接电子装置2(图2参照)的第一连接器22相连接。第二接地杆51的一对垂片55与第二连接器10的屏蔽盖12的顶部电性连接,使屏蔽盖12上积聚的静电得以通过第一及第二接地杆50、51释放。
请参照图3至图5,当线缆连接器1与对接电子装置2的第一连接器22相接合时,导电性锁钩40的第二支臂44被施加于其上的外力向内压缩,其自由末端444可以通过接地平板23的开口24在第一连接器22的侧边并邻近凹口26的位置延伸。第一连接器22与第二连接器10对接后,外力移除并且第二支臂44向外回弹。第二支臂44的自由末端444收容于接地平板23的凹口26,同时“V”形切口442也收纳凸块25的边缘以防止线缆连接器1与电子装置2脱离。而且,第一接地杆50基部52的连接面58电性连接于接地平板23(参考图5),同样的情形也适用于第二接地杆51。因此,屏蔽壳12得以与接地平板23连接,而接地平板23进一步连接至一参考接地电位,这样屏蔽壳12因为连接至一参考接地电位而不可能在其上积聚静电,从而信号可以成功地通过第二连接器10传送。
如前所述,该对第二连接器10为并排式设置,但是也可以改为堆迭式设置。在本实施例中,第二连接器10为各别成形,但也可以用只有一个壳体、一个屏蔽壳而有两个连接口的一个连接器代替本实施例中的两个第二连接器10。本实施例的第二连接器10通过一对导电性锁钩40及第一、二接地杆50、51与接地平板23连接而接地,但在替代实施例中,只需导电性锁钩40其中之一与第一、二接地杆50、51其中之一相连也可以达到使第二连接器10接地的作用。
Claims (8)
1.一种线缆连接器,可与一安装在电子装置接地平板上的第一连接器相对接,其包括具有导电屏蔽壳的至少一第二连接器、遮盖上述第二连接器并提供至少一连接口的盖体、一对具导电性的锁钩及位于盖体上的接地杆;其中该导电性锁钩位于盖体相对的侧边,每一锁钩均设有第一支臂及第二支臂,第一支臂电性连接至第二连接器的屏蔽壳,第二支臂从盖体向外延伸,而位于盖体上的接地杆具有基部及由基部延伸的至少一垂片,上述基部露于盖体外而垂片延伸入盖体内并与第二连接器的屏蔽壳电性连接;其特征在于:上述锁钩的第二支臂及接地杆的基部电性地连接至电子装置的接地平板,从而将使屏蔽壳连接至一参考接地电位。
2.根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:每一锁钩大致呈“V”字形,并且第一及第二支臂从同一基点各自延伸。
3.根据权利要求2所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:该第一支臂包括一朝远离第二支臂的方向偏置的弹性悬臂,而确保与第二连接器屏蔽壳的稳固连接。
4.根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:该第二支臂自由末端的相对两侧各有一“V”字形切口以闩锁接地平板。
5.根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:该盖体包括一上盖及一下盖。
6.根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:该盖体的外表面形成一凸肋,而接地杆的基部断面呈U形,且通过基部与凸肋之间的接合使接地杆保持在盖体上。
7.根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:该盖体上另有狭槽,接地杆的垂片通过该狭槽延伸。
8.根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:该接地杆包括一对从基部延伸至盖体的垂片,各自与第二连接器的屏蔽壳电性连接。
