Abstract

Description
本发明涉及便携式电子设备和系统,特别是但非限制地涉及个人音频系统和电信设备。本发明还涉及装备有用于接收多个这种恰当互连的电子设备的服装。
近年来,便携式音频设备的可用性和功能正在增强,同时其尺寸和重量在减小。这种音频设备通常可以划分成为两类,即那些重放本地存储的音频的设备,以及那些重放从远程源接收的音频信号的设备。前者的例子有具有用于存储音频数据的单独存储介质的个人盒式磁带或激光唱盘(CD)播放器,或者整体存储器以及诸如MP3播放器的播放设备。后者的例子有移动电话和无线电设备。
由于没有单一标准或格式占优势,用户会发现自己要携带多个这种音频源设备。正如所认识的,这样做是浪费的,因为多个设备部件(音频输出设备、显示器、电源)被重复,并且要付出工作量来提供集成便携式系统,其中可以在多个应用之间共享这些部件。美国专利(Kuo等人)5,148,002中给出了一种集成便携式系统,其中描述了一种多功能服装,其包括一个表面外壳,其上有多个互连电子模块,包括加热、通信和显示设备。
美国专利4,539,700(Sato)给出了另一个集成系统的例子,其中描述了一个个人便携式音频设备,其形式为具有用于接收系统部件的多个口袋的服装,在服装的左右肩上提供一对扬声器用于再现音频:从音频信号源部件到扬声器的配线隐藏在服装结构内部,包括口袋内的连接器,用于建立到其中放置的设备的电子连接。
Sato专利描述了一种装置,用于响应系统集成以及特别是设备互连的问题,即服装的穿用者被卷入配线互连各种模块或部件。不过,它无法解决集成中所出现的可用性问题,即当两个或多个设备可连接到或需要连接到系统的单一设备或属性时出现的情况。
因此本发明的一个目的是提供一种便携式集成系统,其具有一种装置,用于提供不同的设备和部件,特别是那些竞争特殊系统资源的设备和部件之间的连接。
根据本发明的第一方面,提供了一种便携式音频系统,其包括通过一个控制和交换级链接到左和右音频输出设备的第一和第二音频信号源设备,控制和交换级是用户可操作地,以选择地将来自一个或两个信号源设备的音频信号引导到所选择的一个或多个左和右音频输出设备。用户可操作装置有选择地将音频引导到用户选择的输出给出了对于用户操作的灵活性。
当音频信号源设备之一输出一对立体声信号时,控制和交换级最好是用户可操作地,以将各自的那些对立体声信号引导到各自的左和右音频输出设备。此外,控制和交换级是用户可操作的,以将立体声信号对组合产单声信号,并将其输出到所选择的一个或多个左和右音频输出设备。因此,用户能够用一只耳朵听周围或环境声音,同时只是通过不戴一个耳机或另一个音频输出设备而不丢失一半音频信号分量。
在一个优选实施例中,音频信号源设备之一包括一个便携式电信设备。在这种情况下,控制和交换级可以被配置来识别该便携式电信设备何时接收一个进入呼叫,并作为响应来建立到所选择的一个或多个左和右音频输出设备的音频信号方向的预定模式。
根据本发明的另一方面,提供了一种服装,其包括如上所述的便携式音频系统。这种服装恰当地包括一个纤维罩(fabric shell),其上有一个或多个电导体,所述电导体或其中的每一个可连接到多个电子设备中的至少一个,包括第一和第二音频信号源设备,其位于所述纤维罩的各自口袋中。为了使用方便,这种服装可以有外部安装的用户可操作控制设备,其连接到所述控制和交换装置并控制其操作。
在实现本发明的服装中,左和右音频输出设备是合适的各自耳机,到耳机的连接线最好是至少部分地隐藏在服装的布结构中。至于设备本身,它们或其中的每一个最好是可移动地附着在所述纤维罩上,以便可以移动,来易于对服装的清洁和设备的升级。

现在参考附图并举例来描述本发明的实施例,其中:
图1到4示意地表示用于四个音频系统部件的不同互连设备;

图7和8表示具有整体音频输出部件的服装衣领。
讨论图1到4,其中给出了一个便携式个人音频系统的部件。这些部件包括第一和第二音频信号源设备,在该例中是MP3播放器14和电话16。这些通过各自的导线12连接到控制和交换级22,并从那里到左和右输出设备26,在这种情况下是各对耳机。实现控制和交换级22的操作的用户输入由箭头9指示。
对控制和交换级22的用户输入选择地将音频信号从一个或两个信号源设备14、16引导到所选择的一个或多个左和右耳机26。在图1的例子中,MP3设备输出一对(左/右)立体声信号,控制和交换级22将各对立体声信号连接到各自的左和右耳机26:假设电话16没有当前进入的消息并且没有连接到耳机26。
在图2的例子中,只有电话16在使用,控制和交换级22将电话音频只连接到左耳机26L:正如所认识到的,电话音频同样可以只连接到右耳机,或者信号可以输入到两个耳机。
在图3中,只有MP3播放器14在使用:不过,与图1的情况不同,来自源的立体声信号被在控制和交换级22中组合,以只将单声信号提供到耳机中的一个(如图所示的26R或26L)。当用户希望听所提供的音频,但是也听到来自环境的声音时,该设备尤其有用。
在图4中,源14、16和两个耳机26L/R都在使用,立体声MP3音频再次被减少为单声,并输入到单个耳机26L;这次,电话音频输入到另一个耳机26R。在该设备中,当不同的音频流竞争用户注意力时,电话音频被适当给予第一位,而当一个呼叫进入时,MP3被闭音。对于各流的一般和各自的音量调节最好由级22提供给用户。
优选地,控制和交换级22被配置来识别电话16何时接收一个进入呼叫-为此,一个指示符信号可以从电话发送到级22:作为响应,级22可以被构造来自动建立到所选择的一个或多个左和右耳机26的预定模式的音频信号连接。例如,一旦检测到一个进入电话呼叫,级22就可以自动地从图1或3的设备切换到图2或4的设备。当用户选择进行一个去话呼叫时,也可以进行这种切换。
现在讨论图5和6,如图所示的服装(分别对于身体的上半部和下半部)的示意表示有多个互连的电子设备,包括来自图1到4的音频源。应当认识到,服装的形式、功能和风格在本发明的操作上没有意义,除了需要支持两个或多个电子设备(可以是分布在服装周围的单一设备的独立部件的形式)的能力之外。
每个服装包括一个纤维罩10,有一个或多个电导体12,其配置可以从一对设备之间的单个导体到互连多个设备的全配线保护套(如图所示),下面将描述:与这种设备使用的恰当的配线保护套的进一步的细节在我们的共同未决的同时提交的申请“Garment Componet(服装部件)”中给出。
在图5的例子中,所支持的设备(每个在各自的由后缀P所标识的口袋中)包括数字音频(MP3)播放设备14和移动电话16,与保存播放器14或例如电话16的号码的音频数据的数据存储设备18,以及对于所有设备的电源20。还与保护套12相连的是一组安装袖子的控制,为音频播放器14和电话16提供控制和交换级22。如上所述,另外的连接被提供给用于电话16的麦克风24,以及与电话16或音频播放器14一起使用的一对耳机26L/R。
在图6的例子中,所支持的设备(也在各自的口袋P中)包括音频播放器28(假设有一个集成电源)、用于播放器的控制设备30以及扬声器32或其它音频输出设备,所有这些都由保护套12互连。如图5中的34以及图6中的36所示,可以提供装置来互连由用户穿着的单独服装中的配线保护套(以及所支持的设备)。
它们各自口袋中的每个设备与纤维罩10和保护套12是可分离的,由如图5所示与保护套分离的各自口袋38.P中的激光唱盘(CD)播放器38指示。这可以代替电话16(如所指示的)附加在扩展在如图1到4所示意的配置周围的控制和交换级22,以便支持一对立体声音频输入。每个口袋适当地包括其本身的终接在一个连接到保护套12上的相应的(F或M)连接器的外部插头或内孔连接器(后缀M或F)中的适配器电缆。如所认识到的,当服装上的单独位置能够有交替设备(如电话16和CD播放器38)时,公共连接可以提供在M/F连接器的保护套端,用于音频信道和功率请求,以便任意一个设备可以简单地插入到相同的连接器中。

根据本发明的公开内容,对于本领域的技术人员来说,其它的修改也是显而易见的。这种修改可以包括在设计、制造和使用便携式音频系统以及包括在这里的服装和应用以及设备中已知的,并且可以代替或者作为这里所描述的特征的补充而使用的其它特征。
Claims (8)
1.一种包括便携式个人音频系统的服装(10),该便携式个人音频系统包括通过控制和交换级(22)链接到左和右音频输出设备的第一音频信号源设备(14)和第二音频信号源设备(16),控制和交换级(22)能够被用户操作来选择性地将来自一个或两个信号源设备(14、16)的音频信号引导到所选择的一个或多个左和右音频输出设备;其特征在于,所述服装还包括一个纤维罩,其上有一个或多个电导体(12),所述电导体或其中的每一个可连接到多个电子设备(14、16、18、20)中的至少一个,所述多个电子设备包括放置在所述纤维罩的各自口袋(14.P、16.P、18.P、20.P)中的所述第一和第二音频信号源设备(14、16),所述服装具有外部安装的用户可操作的控制设备,其连接到所述控制和交换装置(22)并控制所述控制和交换装置(22)的操作。
2.如权利要求1所述的服装,其中所述音频信号源设备(14)之一输出一对立体声信号,控制和交换级(22)能够被用户操作来将各自的立体声信号对引导到所述左和右音频输出设备中各自的左和右音频输出设备(26.L、26.R)。

6.如前面任何一个权利要求所述的服装,其中所述控制和交换级(22)还被配置来由用户操作改变所接收的一个或多个音频信号的输出音量。
