Abstract
一种包含烷基取代萘和酯的润滑油。
Description
本发明涉及包含一种酯的润滑油。更具体地说,本发明涉及其挥发性改善及使用寿命延长的高温链条油。
用于传动链条、碎料板压榨机、干毡机和拉幅机的润滑油组合物要求粘度稳定。
现有包含酯类的润滑油组合物,由于酯类经受高温其粘度发生变化,已不能满足传动链条的高温使用要求。尽管采用聚α烯烃的组合物没有出现像酯类经历高温的同样粘度变化,但含有α烯烃的链条油由于在薄膜条件下有形成漆膜(varnish)的趋势,也未证明它是令人满意的。已有润滑油组合物的其它缺陷包括挥发性不能令人满意和使用寿命不长。
本发明通过将烷基萘加至含酯类的润滑油组合物中的方法克服了这些和其它缺点。
本发明目的之一在于,提供一种粘度特性改善了的润滑油,用于在高温环境下运行的传动链条和其它链条机械。
本发明的另一目的在于,提供一种其挥发特性改善和使用寿命延长的高温链条油。
本发明润滑油组合物包含一种烷基取代萘和一种酯。至于一种烷基取代萘,考虑到了以一个或数个链长不同的直链或支链烷基取代的萘作参比。
在含酯润滑油组合物中包含一种或数种烷基取代萘化合物导致了意想不到的改善效果,诸如延长了油的使用寿命,和降低了油的总挥发性。
本发明包含所用烷基取代萘的数量足以改善该润滑油组合物的挥发性。要不然,本发明包含所用的数量足够延长该润滑油使用寿命。一般,烷基取代萘占润滑油组合物重量的约10%-50%,或者,约12-30%。除非有其它说明,本发明说明书全文所列举的组分数量均为总组合物重量的百分数。
可用于本发明的酯类在科克-阿什墨化工百科全书(Kirk-OthmerEncyclopaedia of Chemical Technology)1994,第四版,第9卷,第781至812页有披露,在此引以参考。更具体地说,本发明可包含双酯、苯二甲酸酯、苯三甲酸酯、苯四甲酸酯、二聚羧酸酯、多元醇和聚油酸酯。可以认为苯三甲酸酯和多元醇是特别适宜的。在某些实施方案中,酯占润滑油组合物重量的约40-90%,或者为约50-80%。
实施例
下述实施例提供了一种了解本发明特性的基础,而不是对本发明范围的限制。下述实施例表示本发明各种粘度等级的不同实施方案。

Emkarate 9130是一种苯三甲酸酯,由帝国化学工业公司化学聚合物部(ICI Chemical Polymers)提供。Mobil MCP 968是一种二烷基-和三烷基-萘的混合物,由莫比尔化学公司(Mobil Chemical Co.)提供。Parapol 1300和Indopol H-1900都是聚丁烯的聚合物。Irgalube349是一种抗磨剂,由汽巴加奇PLC公司提供。Irganox L06是一种抗氧化剂,也是由汽巴加奇PLC公司提供。Vanlube SS是一种抗氧化剂由RT范德布尔特化学公司(RT Vanderbilt Chemical Corp.,)提供。最后,Nasul 707是一种防腐剂由金工业公司(King Industries)提供。
可以认为,在实施例1所披露的实施方案的工业制备中,将规定数量的Emkarate 9130与Mobil MCP 968结合一起,并加热至温度约70℃至约85℃。此后,将Parapol 1300(或Indopol H-1900)、IrganoxL06和Vanlube SS调混成该混合物。Irganox L06和Vanlube SS都是必须融入此混合物中的粉末,而且必须调入该混合物直至Irganox L06和Vanlube SS完全分散在该混合物中。接着降低该组合物的温度至约60℃,再将Irgalube 349和Nasul 707混合至组合物中。
前述实施例润滑油组合物的样品都是按照前节所述的步骤制备的。为评价该组合物的挥发性,将样品置于TA仪器公司专门设计用于进行热重分析的仪器中,于恒温之下测定几个样品的等温蒸发过程。在下述结果中,“t90”表示原始样品蒸发了10%(即保留90%重的样品)的时间,而“T50”表示原始样品蒸发了50%(即保留50%重的样品)的时间。

这些试验结果表明本发明的益处且得以改善的挥发性特征。
将实施例Ⅰ的挥发性特征与未包含烷基萘化合物的样品(配方B)的挥发性特征进行比较,可以看出本发明的优越之处。配方B是由以下成分组成:

Irgalube 349 0.6%
Irganox L06 0.6%
Vanlube SS 0.4%
Nasul 707 0.4%
配方B具有与实施例Ⅰ同样数量的成分,但不含Mobil MCP 968(一种二烷基萘和三烷基萘的混合物)。配方B还多含有一些Emkarate9130(一种苯三甲酸酯)。实施例Ⅰ和配方B的10至12毫克样品的等温扫描在四种不同温度下进行。下述结果表示了在四种不同温度下的原始样品挥发50%(即保留50%重的样品)的时间。

在四种不同温度下,实施例Ⅰ的润滑油用了较长时间的挥发才达到50%的润滑油已不存在的程度。这些结果证明,本发明在较宽温度范围内都可观察到对挥发性的改善。
本发明润滑油组合物能明显满足高温传动链条的应用需求。而且本发明也适宜于其它应用场合,诸如齿轮和空气压缩机,以及适宜于任何需要低挥发性和长使用寿命的润滑油的应用场合。
上述说明书、实施例和数据提供了理解和应用本发明的基础。但在披露范围内的本发明任何实施方案都是在本发明的实质和范围之内的。
Claims (6)
1、一种包含烷基取代萘和酯的润滑油。
2、按照权利要求1的润滑油,其中该润滑油包含约10%至约50%,优选为12%至30%重的烷基取代萘。
3、按照权利要求1或2的润滑油,其中该润滑油包含选自下列的至少一种酯:双酯、苯二甲酸酯、苯三甲酸酯、苯四甲酸酯、二聚羧酸酯、多元醇和聚油酸酯类。
4、按照前述权利要求任一项的润滑油,其中该润滑油包含约40%至约90%,优选为50%至80%重的所述酯。
5、按照前述权利要求任一项的润滑油作为传动链条、碎料板压榨机、干毡机和拉幅机的润滑油的应用。
6、烷基取代萘在包含酯的润滑油中,降低其在升高温度下的挥发性方面的应用。
