Abstract
A toilet funnel-shaped device has a funnel. The waste conduit has a first end coupled to the bottom region of the funnel and a second end for dispensing the contents from the funnel to the toilet bowl. A water line is coupled to the funnel to supply water to the interior of the funnel.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates generally to toilets and more particularly to a self-cleaning device for funneling urine from a person standing near the toilet into the toilet bowl of the toilet.
Background
When using public or private toilets, it is common for a male to stand for urination. Even some women, when using public toilets, may squat down on the toilet bowl for hygienic reasons. However, when standing or squatting down over a toilet bowl, there may be a tendency for urine to miss the interior of the toilet bowl. This may cause urine to fall onto the floor and walls surrounding the toilet being used. Even if urine reaches the inside of the toilet bowl, the urine may splash onto the water. This may result in the urine water mixture striking the toilet seat, the floor and walls surrounding the toilet being used.
Thus, many toilets may have urine dispersed around the toilet seat, the floor and walls around the toilet. This splattered urine may create an unpleasant smell around the general area of the toilet. The splashing of urine is further unhygienic.
It is therefore desirable to provide a system and method that overcomes the above problems. The system and method will enable funnel-shaped entry of urine into the toilet bowl, thereby preventing splashing of urine when a person is standing or squatting above the toilet bowl.
Disclosure of Invention
According to one embodiment, a toilet funnel is disclosed. The toilet funnel-shaped device has a funnel. The waste conduit has a first end coupled to the bottom region of the funnel and a second end for dispensing the contents from the funnel into the toilet bowl. A water line is coupled to the funnel to supply water to the interior of the funnel.
According to one embodiment, a toilet funnel is disclosed. The toilet funnel-shaped device has a funnel. The funnel has an open top region. The side walls extend downwardly from the open top region. The rear region of the sidewall extends upwardly. The bottom region of the sidewall curves inwardly toward the bottom opening. An internal passageway is formed around the inner periphery of the top opening in the funnel. A plurality of openings are formed through the interior of the funnel and into the interior passage. The waste conduit has a first end coupled to the bottom opening of the funnel and a second end for dispensing the contents from the funnel into the toilet bowl. A water line is coupled to the internal passage to supply water to the interior of the funnel.
According to one embodiment, a toilet funnel is disclosed. The toilet funnel-shaped device has a funnel. The waste conduit has a first end coupled to the bottom region of the funnel and a second end for dispensing the contents from the funnel to the toilet bowl. The channel is coupled to the bottom end of the hopper and to the waste conduit. A water line is coupled to the funnel to supply water to the interior of the funnel. A water release valve is coupled to the funnel and a water line distributes water to the interior of the funnel.

FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the exemplary toilet funnel device shown in FIG. 1, according to one aspect of the present application;
fig. 3 is a perspective view of an exemplary funnel of the toilet funnel-shaped device shown in fig. 1, according to one aspect of the present application.
Detailed Description
The description set forth below in connection with the appended drawings is intended as a description of the presently preferred embodiments of the disclosure and is not intended to represent the only forms in which the present disclosure may be constructed and/or utilized. The description sets forth the functions and the sequence of steps for constructing and operating the present disclosure in connection with the illustrated embodiments. However, it is to be understood that the same or equivalent functions and sequences may be accomplished by different embodiments that are also intended to be encompassed within the spirit and scope of the disclosure.
Embodiments of the exemplary apparatus and method relate to an apparatus for funneling urine from a person standing near a toilet into a toilet bowl of the toilet. The device is self-cleaning and flushes urine from the device into the toilet bowl.
Referring to fig. 1-3, a device 10 for funneling urine into a toilet bowl 12A of a toilet 12 may be shown. The device 10 may be self-cleaning. The device 10 may be coupled to a water source of the toilet 12, allowing water to flush the device 10 and move urine from the device 10 into the toilet bowl 12A, as may be described below.
The device 10 may have a funnel 14. Funnel 14 has an open top region 14A. The open top area 14A may be used for urination into the funnel 14. Sidewalls 14B may extend downwardly from open top region 14A. The rear region 14B' of the sidewall 14B may extend upwardly to better capture urine inside the funnel 14. The bottom region of the sidewall 14B may curve inwardly toward the bottom opening 14C. The bottom opening 14C may be used to drain urine from the funnel 14.
The channel 16 may have a first end attached to the bottom opening 14C. The channel 16 may be sloped inwardly to assist in draining urine from the funnel 14. The second end of the channel 16 may be coupled to a first end of a waste pipe 18. A second end of the waste pipe 18 may drain into the toilet bowl 12A, allowing urine to drain from the funnel 14 into the toilet bowl 12A.
The device 10 may have a clip 20. The clip 20 may be used to secure the waste pipe 18 to the toilet bowl 12A. More specifically, the clip 20 can be used to ensure that the second end of the waste pipe 18 is directed into the toilet bowl 12A.
Funnel 14 may be coupled to a water supply. Water from the water supply may be used to flush urine down and out of the funnel 14 and flush the funnel 14 after use for sanitary reasons. According to one embodiment, the funnel 14 may be coupled to a water supply of the toilet 12. In this embodiment, the device 10 may use a double-ended water valve 22. The inlet of the double-ended water valve 22 may be attached to a water supply line. The first outlet valve of the double-ended water valve 22 may be coupled to a water line 24 that supplies water to the toilet 12. A second outlet of the double-ended water valve 22 may be coupled to a water line 26, the water line 26 being coupled to the funnel 14.
According to one embodiment, the funnel 14 may have a water relief valve 28 coupled to the water line 26. When the water release valve 28 is activated, water may flow through the water line 26, through the water release valve 28 and into the interior of the funnel 14, thereby helping urine flow from the funnel 14 into the toilet bowl 12A and toward the funnel 14, the channel 16 and the purge waste pipe 18.
According to one embodiment, funnel 14 may have an internal passageway 14D. The interior channel 14D may be formed around the inner periphery of the open top region 14A. A plurality of openings 30 may be formed through the interior of funnel 14 and into interior passage 14D. The water relief valve 28 may have an inlet in fluid communication with the internal passage 14D. When the handle of the water release valve 28 is depressed, water may flow from the water line 26 through the water release valve 28 and into the interior of the funnel 14, thereby helping urine flow from the funnel 14 into the toilet bowl 12A and decontaminating the funnel 14, the channel 16, and the waste pipe 18.
According to one embodiment, the funnel 14 may have a handle 32 formed on an exterior surface of the funnel 14. The handle 32 may be used to allow a user to hold the funnel 14 during use.
The device 10 may have a holding unit 34. The retaining unit 34 may be used to removably secure the funnel 14 to the toilet 12. According to one embodiment, the retention unit 34 may be used to secure the funnel 14 to the toilet 12 when the funnel 14 is not in use. The user may then use the handle 32 to lift and remove the funnel 14 from the holding unit 34 for use. After the user urinates in the funnel 14, the user can press the handle of the water release valve 28 so that water flows into the interior of the funnel 14 to assist in the flow of urine from the funnel 14 into the toilet bowl 12A and decontaminating the funnel 14, the channel 16 and the waste pipe 18.
The above description is illustrative of specific embodiments of the invention and is not meant to be limiting in its practice. The appended claims, including all equivalents thereof, are intended to define the scope of the invention.
