As shown in fig. 7, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface, high-definition multimedia interface) is provided on both the display device 200 and the external device. The user may insert two ends of the HDMI interface data line on the display device 200 and the external device, respectively, and set the signal source of the display device 200 as the HDMI interface after the external device and the display device 200 are started, thereby realizing data transmission between the display device 200 and the external device.
In order to realize communication connection between the display device 200 and the external device, other connection modes, such as DVI (Digital Visual Interface), VGA (Video Graphics Array), USB (Universal Serial Bus), etc., can be adopted between the display device 200 and the external device; and can also be wireless connection modes, such as wireless local area network, bluetooth connection, infrared connection and the like. Different communication connection modes can adopt different information transfer protocols, for example, when the connection is realized by adopting an HDMI interface, the HDMI transmission protocol can be adopted for data transmission.
After the display device 200 and the external device are connected through HDMI, the external device may send data to be played to the display device 200. The display device 200 may perform decoding on the data to obtain video data and audio data. The display device 200 may display video data in the display 260 and play audio data through a built-in audio player such as a speaker.
It should be noted that the types of the play contents provided by different external devices may be different. In the embodiment of the application, the play content provided by the external device comprises media information content and application program content. The media resource content can be divided into media resource program content corresponding to the media resource channel and media resource content locally stored by the external device.
Some external devices are capable of providing application content, for example, a gaming device may provide multiple gaming applications. Some external devices can provide media content, for example, a set top box can provide media channel content, and a video recorder can provide local media. Some devices may provide both application content and media content, such as computers and the like. The display device 200 may display different play contents by connecting different external devices.
In some embodiments, the display apparatus 200 may be provided with at least two external device interfaces 240, such that the display apparatus 200 may be connected to a plurality of external devices simultaneously, for example, to a game apparatus and a set-top box simultaneously. The display device 200 may set the playback channel as one of the external devices, so as to display the playback content provided by the external device.
The user may also choose to switch the playback channels of the display device 200. Fig. 8 illustrates a schematic diagram of a signal source interface in some embodiments. The signal source may include video, USB, HDMI1, HDMI2, and VGA, among others. The user may select one of the signal sources, so that the external device connected to the signal source is set as the current playing channel of the display device 200. For example, the user may set the playback channel of the display device 200 as an external device connected at HDMI 1.
In some embodiments, the display device 200 may automatically set the playback channel. When it is detected that a plurality of external device interfaces 240 are connected to an external device, the display device 200 may set a playback channel according to a preset priority. For example, the preset priority may be: set top box > gaming device > video recorder. The display device 200 may detect all external devices currently connected and set as a play channel according to the priority.
In some embodiments, the display apparatus 200 may prompt the user to set the playback channel by himself when it is detected that a plurality of external device interfaces 240 are connected to the external apparatus. The display device 200 may detect all external devices currently connected and connect the interfaces of the external devices. Fig. 9 illustrates an external device connection interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 9, the external device connection interface includes an external device to which the display device 200 is currently connected. The user may select one of the play channels set as the display device.
It should be noted that, when the display device 200 is connected to a plurality of external devices, the playing channel is set to one of the external devices, and the display device 200 can only display the playing content provided by one external device at a time. Therefore, when the user wants to view the play content that can be provided by other external devices, the play channel of the display device 200 needs to be switched to the corresponding external device. However, the user may not know what the playback content can be provided by each external device, and when the user wants to view a certain playback content, for example, wants to view a certain application program or a media resource channel, the user does not know in which external device the content is located, and needs to switch the playback channel of the display device 200 to each external device in turn to view the situation of each external device, so as to find the content that the user wants to view. The process of continuously switching the play channel is complicated, and the use experience for the user is poor.
For this, the display device 200 may have a play content search function. The display device 200 may be simultaneously connected to a plurality of external devices, and a user may search for a desired play content using the display device 200. The display device 200 may search for corresponding play content in all external devices according to the search instruction input by the user, so as to show the play content to the user for viewing. The display device 200 may be provided with a play content search mode. When the display apparatus 200 enters the play content search mode, the display apparatus 200 may turn on the play content search function.
In some embodiments, the user may send a play content search mode instruction to the display device 200 by operating a designated key of the remote controller. And pre-binding the corresponding relation between the play content search mode instruction and the remote controller key in the actual application process. For example, a play content search mode key is provided on the remote controller, and when the user touches the key, the remote controller transmits a play content search mode instruction to the controller 250, and at this time, the controller 250 controls the display device 200 to enter the play content search mode. When the user touches the key again, the controller 250 may control the display device 200 to exit the play content search mode.
In some embodiments, the user may send a play content search mode instruction to the display apparatus 200 by way of voice input using a sound collector of the display apparatus 200, such as a microphone, to control the display apparatus 200 to enter a play content search mode. The display device 200 may be provided therein with an intelligent voice system that can recognize a user's voice to extract instruction contents inputted by the user.
In some embodiments, the play content search mode instruction may also be sent to the display device 200 when the user controls the display device 200 using a smart device, such as using a cell phone. In the practical application process, a control can be set in the mobile phone operation interface, and whether to enter the play content search mode can be selected through the control, so that a play content search mode instruction is sent to the controller 250, and at this time, the controller 250 can control the display device 200 to enter the play content search mode.
A play content search mode option may also be set in the system UI interface of the display apparatus 200, and when the user clicks the option, the display apparatus 200 may be controlled to enter or exit the play content search mode.
In some embodiments, to prevent the user from false triggering the play content search mode, when the controller 250 receives the play content search mode instruction, the display 260 may be controlled to display play content search mode confirmation information, so that the user performs a secondary confirmation as to whether to control the display apparatus 200 to enter the play content search mode. Fig. 10 is a schematic diagram illustrating playback of content search mode confirmation information in some embodiments.
FIG. 11 shows an interactive flow diagram of components of display device 200 in some embodiments, including the steps of:
s101, responding to a play content search instruction input by a user, and acquiring a search keyword;
s102, obtaining external equipment content data of the external equipment, wherein the external equipment content data comprises first play content which can be provided by the external equipment;
s103, screening the content data of the external equipment based on the search keywords to obtain keyword playing content;
s104, responding to a playing instruction for indicating to play the playing content of the target keyword, and setting a playing channel of the display device as a target external device corresponding to the playing content of the target keyword;
s105, receiving the data to be played sent by the target external device and controlling a display to display the data to be played.
In some embodiments, a user may search for the desired play content using the display device 200. The user may input a play content search instruction to the display device 200. In response to the instruction, the controller may obtain a search keyword.
Upon receiving the user instruction, the controller 250 may control the display 260 to display the play content search interface. FIG. 12 illustrates a schematic diagram of a play content search interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 12, the playing content search interface includes a keyword input box, and also includes prompt information and a virtual keyboard. The prompt may be "please enter search content". The user may input search information using the virtual keyboard, and the information input by the user may be displayed in the keyword input box to confirm the user.
The controller 250 may acquire a search keyword input by the user in the keyword input box.
In some embodiments, after obtaining the search keyword input by the user, the controller 250 may search all external devices connected to the display device for the play content corresponding to the search keyword. The controller 250 may obtain external device content data of the external device. The external device content data may include a play content that can be provided by the external device, which is referred to as a first play content in the embodiment of the present application. Some external devices can provide play contents of application program types, some external devices can provide play contents of media information channel types, and some external devices can provide play contents of various types. The controller 250 may acquire the play contents that the external devices can provide, thereby searching for the play contents that the user wants to watch.
In some embodiments, the controller 250 may determine the play content that can be provided by all external devices, i.e., the controller 250 may obtain the external device content data of all external devices.
The controller 250 may first acquire the device connection status of the external apparatus interface. Each external device interface 240 of the display apparatus 200 may be connected to an external device, and the controller 250 may detect each external device interface 240 in real time to obtain a connection state of the external device of each external device interface 240, thereby determining whether the external device interface 240 is connected to the external device. The controller 250 may acquire the device connection status of each external apparatus interface 240 through the device insertion detection thread.
Taking HDMI interface as an example, HDMI interface includes 4 minimized differential signaling technology (Time Minimized Differential Signal, TMDS) channels, which are mainly used for transmitting data, 1 display data channel (Display Data Channel, DDC) and consumer electronics control (Consumer Electronics Control, CEC) lines. The DDC is a bus standard, and its basic function is to transmit electronic archive information of the display, such as receivable line frequency field frequency range, manufacturer, production date, product serial number, product model, standard display mode and parameters thereof, supported DDC standard category, version information of EDID, etc. The high version of the DDC standard bus may also allow an external device to directly adjust basic parameters of the display such as brightness, contrast, magnitude of line field amplitude, line field center position, color temperature parameters, etc.
The CEC channel is an optional channel, and through the CEC channel, advanced control functions among some audio and video devices, such as supporting two-way communication between a video source and a digital television, and realizing functions of single key pressing, simultaneous starting, automatic power-on, automatic signal routing, remote control and the like, can be realized. A hot plug (HotPlugDetect, HPD) pin is also included in the HDMI, and the controller 250 may detect, via the HPD, whether an external device is connected at the HDMI interface.
The controller 250 may determine, according to the device connection condition, that an external device interface of the external device has been connected, which is referred to as a first external device interface in the embodiment of the present application.
The controller 250 may send the external device content data acquisition request to all external devices through the first external device interface, so that the external device feeds back the external device content data according to the external device content data acquisition request. The external device may count the play content that can be provided by itself, thereby generating the content data of the external device, and send the content data to the display device 200.
The controller 250 may receive the external device content data fed back by the external device, so as to count the playing content that can be provided by all the external devices.
In some embodiments, the analysis of the external device content data of all external devices is considered, so that the process is complicated, and external devices related to the user requirements can be screened out first, and the external device content data of the external devices can be obtained.
The search keyword input by the user may correspond to a plurality of play content types, for example, the user inputs a game name, and the game name may correspond to a game application program or a game video. At this time, the controller 250 may search out all relevant play contents including a plurality of play content types. To determine the user's needs, the controller 250 may first obtain the type of play content that the user wants to view.
After the user inputs the search keyword, the controller 250 may first control the display 260 to display the play content type selection interface. FIG. 13 illustrates a schematic diagram of a play content type selection interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 13, the play content type selection interface includes play content type controls corresponding to a plurality of play content types, where each play content type control characterizes a play content type, and may include, for example, a media asset channel, a local media asset, and an application. The play content type selection interface also includes prompt information, which may be "please select the play content type to be searched". The user can select one of the playback content types for searching.
In response to a user's selection operation of the target play content type control, the controller 250 may obtain a target play content type corresponding to the target play content type control, and obtain a target external device corresponding to the target play content type. The external device corresponding to the target play content type is the external device capable of providing the play content of the target play content type. For example, after the user inputs the search keyword a and selects to search for the media channel, the controller 250 may acquire an external device capable of providing the media channel, such as a set-top box, among all external devices currently connected.
The controller 250 may send an external device content data acquisition request to the target external device, so that the target external device feeds back the external device content data. The controller 250 may send a request to the designated target external device, and the target external device may send its own external device content data to the display device 200.
The controller 250 may receive the external device content data fed back by the target external device, so as to count the play content that can be provided by the target external device.
In some embodiments, a communication connection may be established between the display device and the external device for information interaction. In view of the security of the display device, when it is detected that a certain external device interface is connected to the external device, which is referred to as a second external device interface in the embodiment of the present application, the controller 250 may perform connection verification on the connected external device, so as to ensure the security of device connection.
The controller 250 may first obtain a physical address of the second external device interface, which is referred to as a first physical address in the embodiment of the present application. For a plurality of external device interfaces 240 in the display apparatus 200, each external device interface 240 may have a unique physical address for differentiation. The external device may determine the external device interface 240 to which it is currently connected according to the physical address, so as to declare to the display device 200 that it will occupy the external device interface 240.
The controller 250 may send a connection verification instruction to the external device through the second external device interface, so that the external device feeds back the connection verification information according to the connection verification instruction. After the external equipment is accessed to the second external device interface, the first physical address of the second external device interface can be read, and meanwhile, connection verification information can be generated according to the first physical address, and the connection verification information is used for declaring that the external equipment can occupy the second external device interface. The external device may transmit the connection verification information to the display device 200.
Extended display identification data (Extended Display Identification Data, EDID) may be provided at the external device interface 240 to announce its capabilities to the external device, including supported resolution scenarios, etc. The extended display identification data is a standard data format of the video electronics standards association (Video Electronics Standards Association, VESA) that includes parameters relating to the display 260 and its capabilities, including, but not limited to: the string of vendor information, maximum image size, color settings, vendor presets, limits of frequency range, display 260 name and serial number, and may also include the physical address of the external device interface 240. The external device can read the capability of the display device 200 and the physical address of the external device interface 240 connected currently according to the expanded display identification data
The controller 250 may receive connection verification information fed back by the external device. The connection verification information includes a physical address, which is referred to as a second physical address in the embodiment of the present application. After the external device reads the first physical address, the read physical address is put into the connection verification information to declare that the external device reads the correct physical address, so that the interface of the second external device is occupied, and the pairing effect is realized.
The controller 250 may detect the second physical address.
If the first physical address is the same as the second physical address, it indicates that the external device obtains the correct first physical address, at this time, it may be set to allow the external device to establish connection with the display device 200, and data interaction may be performed between the external device and the display device 200.
If the first physical address and the second physical address are different, it is indicated that the external device obtains the wrong physical address, which may be the reason of the external device itself to cause the reading failure, or the external device has a security problem. To ensure the device security of the display device 200, the controller 250 may set to prohibit the external device from establishing a connection with the display device 200, where the external device cannot send data to the display device 200, and the display device 200 cannot send data to the external device.
In some embodiments, HDMI supports the CEC communication protocol, and provides advanced control functions for all external devices accessing the HDMI interface in the application scenario, that is, a user can control devices connected in the CEC system through a remote controller, all audio/video signal source devices in the CEC system are directly or indirectly connected to a root device, and are connected into a top-down tree through HDMI, the display device 200 serves as a root node of the tree, the signal switching device serves as a branch node of the tree, each external device accessed through HDMI serves as a leaf node of the tree, and each device in the CEC system has a physical address, so that CEC can address and control devices with specific physical addresses. The display device 200 may assign a physical address to each external device accessed through CEC.
When the HDMI interface is connected to the external device, the controller 250 may further allocate a physical address to the external device, where the allocated physical address may be a physical address of the HDMI interface to which the external device is connected. For an external device connected to the HDMI interface, after the allocated physical address is obtained, a logical address may be applied to the display device 200.
In some embodiments, the controller 250 may assign a logical address to the external device upon detecting that the second external device interface is connected to the external device.
The controller 250 may send a device information acquisition request to the external device, so that the external device feeds back the device information according to the device information acquisition request. The external device may generate device information according to information such as its own device type and send the device information to the display device 200.
The controller 250 may receive device information fed back by the external device, and assign a logical address to the external device according to the device information.
In some embodiments, the device information of the external device includes a device type of the external device. The device types may include gaming devices, set top box devices, media playback devices, video recording devices, and the like.
When a logical address is allocated to an external device, the controller 250 may first obtain a device function supported by the external device according to a device type. 6 | Tuner 2 | 14 | Undefined |
7 | Tuner 3 | 15 | Undefined |
Wherein the logical address of the display device 200 is set to 0.1-15 represent the functions of the external device. For example, the audio play function may set 2 logical addresses 1 and 2 corresponding to the audio device. The tuner is media information channel playing, and 4 logical addresses 3, 6, 7 and 10 can be set corresponding to the set top box equipment. The video playing is local media playing, and 2 logical addresses 4 and 8 can be set corresponding to media playback equipment. The recorded video may correspond to a video recording device with 2 logical addresses 9 and 11.
When one set-top box device is connected to the display device 200, a logical address corresponding to the tuner may be allocated to the set-top box device, and allocation may be performed sequentially. If logical address 3 has not been assigned, logical address 3 may be assigned to the set-top box device. If logical address 3 has already been assigned to another device, one of the other logical addresses corresponding to the tuner may be selected for assignment to the set-top box device.
In some embodiments, after the logical address is allocated to the external device, a corresponding relationship between the logical address and the physical address of the external device may be constructed, so that the corresponding external device may be determined according to the logical address.
The controller 250 may establish an address mapping relationship of the logical address and the first physical address. The logic address may represent a function of the external device, and the first physical address may represent an external device interface connected to the external device.
The controller 250 may store the address mapping relationship to a preset database.
In some embodiments, the controller 250 may obtain a target external device corresponding to the target play content type.
