The user can view the application programs already installed on the display device, i.e., the functions supported by the display device, through the application panel. The user may select one of the applications and open it to implement the functionality of the application. It should be noted that, the application installed in the display device may be a system application or a third party application. And the user controls the display device to realize the corresponding function of the application program by starting the application program. Fig. 5 shows a schematic diagram of an application panel in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 5, the application panel includes three controls, namely a "player", "cable tv", and "video chat". Wherein the user can control the display device to open the player application by clicking on the "player" control. The user can perform corresponding operations in the player, such as searching for media assets, etc. The user may click on the "cable" control to view some of the media channels, including various media programs offered by the cable provider, using the display device. The user may click on the "video chat" control to conduct video chat using the display device.
In some embodiments, a user may view a media asset program using a display device. It should be noted that, the cable television provider may provide a plurality of media channels to the display device, and each media channel may play a different media program, and what media program is played by each media channel in what time period is determined by the cable television provider. The cable television provider may set all the media channels in the server, so that the server may be used to send the media channels to the display device for viewing by the user.
When watching a media program corresponding to a certain media channel, the user can control the display device to switch and display other media channels by pressing a switching key, such as an up key and a down key, of the control device so as to watch different media programs.
In some embodiments, in order to facilitate the user to switch different media channels, the display device may display a media channel interface, where all media channels acquired by the display device may be included in the media channel interface, so that the user intuitively determines all media channels, and thus switches.
The user may control the display device to display the media asset channel interface. For example, when a user views a media program being played on a certain media channel, the user may control the display device to call up the media channel interface, so as to select a certain media channel for switching. For another example, the user may control the display device to directly call the media channel interface so as to select a media channel for viewing. The user can control the display device to call out the media information channel interface in the system UI interface of the display device, and can also send a response instruction to the display device by utilizing a preset key on the control device so that the display device calls out the media information channel interface.
In some embodiments, upon receiving an instruction from the user to call up the media channel interface, the controller 250 of the display device may search the server of the cable television provider for media channels, thereby obtaining media channels that the display device is capable of displaying.
Specifically, the controller 250 may generate and transmit a media asset channel acquisition request to the server. After receiving the media information channel acquisition request sent by the display device, the server can count the media information channel information of all the media channels, and the media information channel information can include media information channel names and media information channel attribute information of the response media channels. The server may feed back all of the media channel information to the display device.
In some embodiments, cable providers are different considering the different regions in which the display devices are located, resulting in different cable providers providing different media channels. Therefore, when the display device acquires the media information channels, the influence of regional factors can be considered, and the media information channels in the local region can be acquired, so that the situation that the media information channels in other regions are acquired to cause playing failure is avoided.
The controller 250 may acquire network information of the display device when generating the media channel acquisition request. The network information may be an IP address of the display device, capable of representing geographical location information of the display device. The controller 250 may generate a media channel acquisition request carrying network information of the display device and transmit to the server. After receiving the media information channel acquisition request sent by the display device, the server can determine the geographic position information of the display device according to the network information of the display device, so as to determine the target region where the display device is located. The server can acquire the media information channel corresponding to the target region.
Specifically, the server may store the region information of each region in advance. The server may directly determine the zone information of the target zone. The zone information of the target zone may include a plurality of parameters, such as: region code, province code, region code, and internet service provider code ispCode. The area code refers to a city level code of a city where a target area is located, and each city has a specific area code for distinguishing different areas. The province code region code refers to province-level code of province to which the target region belongs. It should be noted that, for some special regions, for example, in the jurisdiction, it has only provincial codes and has no regional codes, and can be distinguished according to provincial codes and other regions. The internet service provider code ispCode refers to an individual code corresponding to a cable television provider of a target region, each cable television provider having its particular internet service provider code.
The server may determine the cable provider corresponding to the target region, so that all media information channel information, that is, all media information channel information corresponding to the target region, is obtained at the cable provider. The server may send the media asset channel information to the display device.
In some embodiments, the media channel acquisition request may not include network information of the display device. After receiving the media information channel acquisition request sent by the display device, the server can send a network information acquisition instruction to the display device. After receiving the network information acquisition instruction, the controller 250 may acquire the network information of the display device and transmit to the server. The server can determine the target region where the display device is located according to the network information of the display device, so as to acquire the media information channel information corresponding to the target region and send the media information channel information to the display device.
In some embodiments, the server may also filter the media channels that the user cannot view, considering that some media channels may need to be viewed after the user pays, so that when the user does not purchase the media channels that need to be paid, the user does not have the viewing rights for such media channels.
After receiving the media information channel acquisition request sent by the display device, the server can send a user identification acquisition request to the display device. The user may log in to his own account number in the display device, which contains a user identification, e.g. a user ID. Upon receiving the user identification acquisition request sent by the server, the controller 250 may acquire the user identification and send it to the server. The server can acquire all media information channels with viewing rights of the user according to the user identification, and sends media information of the media information channels to the display device.
In some embodiments, after obtaining the media information sent by the server, the controller 250 may determine the media channel names corresponding to all the media channels. The controller 250 may generate the media channel interface based on all of the media channel names. FIG. 6 illustrates a schematic diagram of a media asset channel interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 6, the media channel interface includes media channel controls corresponding to all media channels searched by the display device, including channel a, channel B, channel C, and so on. The user may select one of the media channel controls and confirm that the controller 250 may control the display 260 to display the media channel corresponding to the media channel control, thereby enabling the user to view the media program being played in the media channel.
In some embodiments, in view of the fact that the media channel control presented in the media channel interface does not enable the user to determine the media program being played on that media channel, to enhance the user's use experience, the display device may also present a cable interface to the user so that the user may preview the media program being played on a particular media channel to enable the user to determine whether to view the media channel.
The controller 250 may generate a media resource channel list according to the acquired information of all media resource channels, where the media resource channel list may include media resource channel controls corresponding to all media resource channels, and each media resource channel control displays a media resource channel name of the media resource channel. The controller 250 may control the display 260 to simultaneously display the media channel list and a play area so that the user may select a certain media channel according to the media channel list while viewing the media program being played by the media channel in the play area.
Fig. 7 illustrates a schematic diagram of a cable television interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 7, the cable interface includes a preview window and a media channel list. The user may select a particular media channel, such as media channel 1, from a list of media channels on the right side of the cable interface. And the preview window on the left side of the cable television interface can display the media information channel 1 selected by the user for the user to preview. The user can determine the currently selected media program in the media channel according to the preview window, so as to decide whether to watch the media channel. When the user determines that viewing of the media asset channel is desired, the user may click on the preview window and the controller 250 controls the display 260 to display the media asset channel full screen for viewing by the user.
It should be noted that, for the media information channel interface, the user can only know the names of all media information channels that can be played by the display device, and when the user wants to know the media information program being played in a certain media information channel, the user needs to click to enter the relevant playing interface, so that the user cannot intuitively see the media information program that is currently and specifically played in the media information channel. For the cable television interface, although the user can intuitively see the media programs being played in the currently selected media channels, the user can only see a certain media channel, and cannot determine the media programs being played in all the media channels. When a user views a media program using a display device, since the media program corresponding to each media channel is not known, if the user wants to search for a media program of interest, he needs to manually switch each media channel to confirm the corresponding media program. When the number of media information channels acquired in the display device is large, the user needs to spend a long time to confirm all the media information channels, which is time-consuming and labor-consuming. The user cannot intuitively know the media programs being played in each media channel from the display device, so that the use experience of the user is poor.
Therefore, the display device provided by the embodiment of the application has the function of displaying the media programs. When a user has a need to view the asset program, the display device may determine all of the asset channels currently and determine the asset program being played on each of the asset channels. The display device can display all the media programs to the user, so that the user can intuitively determine all the media programs which can be played by the display device to select the interested media programs for watching. The display device may be provided with a media program presentation mode. When the display device enters a media program display mode, the display device can start a media program display function to display the media programs being played by all media channels.
In some embodiments, the user may send the media asset program presentation mode instruction to the display device by operating a designated key of the remote control. And pre-binding the corresponding relation between the media resource program display mode instruction and the remote controller key in the actual application process. For example, a key of a media program display mode is set on the remote controller, when the user touches the key, the remote controller sends a media program display mode instruction to the controller 250, and at this time, the controller 250 controls the display device to enter the media program display mode. When the user touches the key again, the controller 250 may control the display device to exit the media program presentation mode.
In some embodiments, the media asset program presentation mode instructions may also be sent to the display device when the user controls the display device using the smart device, such as using a cell phone. In the practical application process, a control can be set in the mobile phone, and whether the mobile phone enters the media program display mode can be selected through the control, so that a media program display mode instruction is sent to the controller 250, and the controller 250 can control the display equipment to enter the media program display mode.
In some embodiments, a continuous click command may be issued to the mobile phone when the user controls the display device using the mobile phone. The continuous click command refers to: and in a preset period, the number of times of clicking the same area of the touch screen of the mobile phone by the user exceeds a preset threshold value. For example: when the user clicks on a certain area of the mobile phone touch screen for 3 times in 1s, the user is regarded as a continuous click command. After receiving the continuous click command, the mobile phone may send a media asset program display mode command to the display device, so that the controller 250 controls the display device to enter the media asset program display mode.
In some embodiments, when the user controls the display device using the mobile phone, it may also be set to: when detecting that the touch pressure value of a user to a certain area of the touch screen of the mobile phone exceeds a preset pressure threshold, the mobile phone can send a media resource program display mode instruction to the display equipment.
The media program display mode option can be set in the UI interface of the display device, and when the user clicks the option, the display device can be controlled to enter or exit the media program display mode.
In some embodiments, to prevent the user from triggering the media program display mode by mistake, when the controller 250 receives the media program display mode command, the display 260 may be controlled to display the media program display mode confirmation information, so that the user performs a secondary confirmation as to whether to control the display device to enter the media program display mode. Fig. 8 is a schematic diagram of a display 260 displaying media program presentation mode confirmation information in some embodiments.
In some embodiments, after the user sends a power-on instruction to the display device, the controller 250 may control the display device to power on and control the display 260 to display the user interface. The user interface may be a system recommendation interface for the display device including an application installed by the display device, such as a cable television application. When the user selects the cable application, the user is considered to have a need to view the media asset program, i.e., the user enters an instruction indicating that the media asset program is requested. At this time, the controller 250 may acquire all the media channels that the display device can play and the media programs that each media channel is playing, so as to display all the media programs to the user, so that the user selects a certain media program for viewing.
In some embodiments, the controller 250 may also control the display 260 to directly display a certain media channel after the display device is turned on, so that the user can watch the media program being played on the certain media channel after the display device is instructed to turn on. The media information channel displayed after the display device is turned on may be a certain media information channel set by the user, and the user may set the media information channel displayed after the display device is turned on in the system setting of the display device, so that the controller 250 controls the display 260 to display the media information channel set by the user after the display device is turned on. The media information channel displayed after the display device is turned on may be a media information channel set by the controller 250, for example, a media information channel displayed last before the display device is turned off last time, or a random certain media information channel.
Therefore, after the display device is turned on, the controller 250 can control the display 260 to directly display a certain media channel, so as to play the media program corresponding to the media channel. At this time, the user may make the display device display the media programs, for example, press a preset button in the control device, so that the controller 250 obtains all media channels that the display device can play and the media programs that each media channel is playing, and displays all media programs to the user.
Alternatively, all of the media programs may be presented directly in the system home page of the display device.
When the user inputs an instruction indicating the home page of the display system to the display device, it can be considered that the user also inputs an instruction indicating the request for the media asset program. The controller 250 may acquire the status of the media programs being played on all media channels and generate a system homepage including the status of the media programs, thereby controlling the display 260 to display the system homepage. The user can view all the media programs in the system homepage to select a certain media program for viewing.
FIG. 9 illustrates an interactive flow diagram for components of a display device in some embodiments.
In some embodiments, upon receiving a user entered instruction indicating a request for a media asset program, controller 250 may obtain an initial media asset channel list. The initial media asset channel list may include all media asset channels that the display device is capable of playing.
A storage area may be preset in the display device for storing the media channel list that has been acquired by the controller 250. When the user first uses the display device, the controller 250 is blank in the storage area and does not store the media channel list because the user has not yet used the display device to view the media program and the related information of the media channels has not been acquired from the server at this time. After the user has viewed the asset program using the display device, controller 250 has acquired the asset channel information in the server, at which point a list of asset channels may have been stored in the memory area.
Specifically, in response to a user's instruction to request a media asset program, the controller 250 may first detect whether a media asset channel list already exists in the preset storage area.
If a list of media channels is stored in the storage area, the controller 250 may directly determine the list of media channels as an initial list of media channels.
If the media asset channel list is not stored in the storage area, the controller 250 may first acquire related information of the media asset channel to generate the media asset channel list. The controller 250 may send a media asset channel acquisition request to the server, which may feed back information about a number of media asset channels. The controller 250 may generate an initial media asset channel list according to a number of media asset channels, and the initial media asset channel list may include all media asset channels transmitted by the server. Controller 250 stores the initial media asset channel list in a memory area for subsequent direct use.
In some embodiments, after the initial media asset channel list is obtained, controller 250 may generate a media asset program request based on the initial media asset channel list to obtain media asset program information. The initial media asset channel list includes a plurality of media asset channels, and the controller 250 may acquire media asset program information corresponding to a media asset program currently being played on each of the media asset channels from the server.
Specifically, the media information attribute information of the media channel may include ServiceID of the media channel. ServiceID may be used as a key for the asset channels to uniquely identify each asset channel. For the server, after a certain ServiceID is obtained, the media information channel corresponding to the ServiceID can be determined. Thus, serviceID for each media channel may be used to refer to each media channel during the interaction of the server and the display device.
The controller 250 may first obtain ServiceID for each of the media channels in the initial media channel list, and the media channel order for all of the media channels, referred to as the initial media channel order in this embodiment.
The controller 250 may sort the serviceids of all media channels based on the initial media channel order, and the order of the serviceids is the same as the order of the respective corresponding media channels, thereby obtaining a ServiceID list. The ServiceID list is an array formed by serviceids of all media channels according to the initial media channel sequence, and is used for representing the sequence of all media channels in the initial media channel list.
The controller 250 may generate a media program request containing the ServiceID list and transmit the media program request to the server.
After receiving the media resource program request sent by the display device, the server can analyze the ServiceID list to obtain the media resource channel corresponding to each ServiceID, thereby obtaining a plurality of media resource channels arranged according to a certain sequence, and the sequence is the initial media resource channel sequence. The server can acquire the currently playing media programs of each media channel, and particularly can acquire the media program information corresponding to each media program. The information of the media asset program can comprise the information of the media asset program name of the media asset program, the media asset channel where the media asset program is located, the media asset program poster, the current playing progress of the media asset program, the type of the media asset program and the like.
The server can count the media information of all media programs and sort all media information according to the initial media channel sequence to obtain media program data. The server may send the media program data to the display device.
In some embodiments, after receiving the media program data sent by the server, the controller 250 may determine the currently playing media program of each media channel in the initial media channel list and the media program information corresponding to each media program, respectively.
Specifically, the media program data includes a plurality of media program information, and the media program information is arranged according to the order of all serviceids in the ServiceID list, that is, according to the order of all media channels in the initial media channel list. Accordingly, controller 250 may directly match each media channel to each media program information in the initial media channel order. The first media information program information corresponds to the first media channel, and the second media information program information corresponds to the second media channel, so that the media information program in each media channel currently playing and the media information program information corresponding to each media program are obtained.
In some embodiments, after acquiring the asset program being played on each asset channel, controller 250 may generate a list of asset programs based on the asset program information and the initial asset channel list. The media program list includes all media programs being played by the media channels.
Specifically, the controller 250 may first determine an initial media channel sequence corresponding to all media channels in the initial media channel list, and may sort all media programs according to the initial media channel sequence to generate the media program list.
In some embodiments, the controller 250 may sort the media program information directly based on the initial media channel order, regardless of the media channels, to obtain a list of media programs. FIG. 10 illustrates a schematic diagram of a media asset program list in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 10, the media asset program list may include a number of media asset program controls, each for displaying a media asset program name and a media asset program poster of a media asset program.
In some embodiments, controller 250 may obtain the media asset program list by taking into account both the media asset channel and the media asset program information. Controller 250 may first generate a media program information control corresponding to each media channel based on the media program information. The media information control may include media information corresponding to the media channel. For example, each media asset program information control may include a media asset channel name, a media asset program poster, and a current playing progress of a media asset program.
Controller 250 may sort all of the media asset program information controls based on the initial media asset channel order to obtain a media asset program list. FIG. 11 illustrates a schematic diagram of a media asset program list in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 11, the media program list includes media program information controls corresponding to each media channel. The media asset program information control comprises a media asset channel name, a media asset program poster and the current playing progress of the media asset program.
For the media program listings shown in fig. 11, it may be displayed in the system home page of the display device. FIG. 12 illustrates a schematic diagram of a system home page in some embodiments. As shown in FIG. 12, the system homepage includes a media program list, and the user can slide the media program list left and right to view different media program information controls. FIG. 13 is a schematic diagram of a media asset channel screening interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 13, the media channel filtering interface includes an initial media channel list and a filtering area, and the filtering area includes a plurality of media channel type controls. Media channel type controls include news, sports, movies, dramas, and all. The attribute information of the media information channel may include media information channel types of the media information channel, and the controller 250 may count all media information channel types and generate a corresponding media information channel type control for each media information channel type. The user may select one or more of the media asset channel type controls to filter all of the media asset channels.
In response to the user selecting the target media asset channel type control, controller 250 may determine the target media asset channel type corresponding to the target media asset channel type control. Based on the initial media channel list, the controller 250 may acquire a media channel corresponding to the type of the target media channel in the initial media channel list, which is referred to as a first media channel in the embodiment of the present application. The controller 250 may generate a first media asset channel list from the first media asset channel.
Considering that the ServiceID list is changed after the media asset channel list is changed, the media asset program data issued by the server is changed. Accordingly, controller 250 may update the initial media asset channel list to the first media asset channel list and again generate a media asset program request based on the initial media asset channel list for transmission to the server. So that the server updates the downloaded media program data. After receiving the new media program data sent by the server, the controller 250 may generate a new media program list and control the display 260 to display, and the specific process is referred to the foregoing steps, which are not repeated herein.
In some embodiments, the attribute information of the media asset channel may also include some other information, such as the definition of the media asset channel and whether to pay. The user may also filter these attributes to select a media asset channel. FIG. 14 is a schematic diagram of a media asset channel screening interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 14, the filtering area includes a plurality of filtering types including media channel type, definition, payment status, etc. Wherein, the definition includes: high definition, standard definition, ultra definition and all. Pay conditions include pay, free and all. The user may filter for different attributes.
In some embodiments, the user may also make modifications to the initial media asset channel list, such as modifying the order of media asset channels in the initial media asset channel list.
In response to a user entered instruction to modify the initial media asset channel list, controller 250 may control display 260 to display an initial media asset channel list modification interface.
