根据本公开的实例的制造耐火制品的方法包括:在挤出设备中将基础材料与硅氧烷聚合物和膦酸酯聚合物中的至少一种组合,并且将组合的基础材料、硅氧烷聚合物和/或膦酸酯聚合物挤出以形成耐火制品。
在前述方法的另一个实施方案中,耐火制品包括用于带的护套。
任何前述方法的另一个实施方案包括将至少一个张力构件包裹在护套材料中的步骤。
任何前述方法的另一个实施方案包括将硅氧烷聚合物材料以精细研磨的形式提供给挤出设备。

具体实施方式
图1示意性地显示了示例性电梯系统20的选定部分。电梯轿厢22和配重24由承载组件26悬挂。在一个实例中,承载组件26包括多根扁平带。在另一个实例中,承载组件26包括多根圆绳。
承载组件26支撑电梯轿厢22和配重24的重量,并且通过沿着滑轮28和30移动而促进电梯轿厢22移动到期望的位置。滑轮中的一个将是牵引滑轮,电梯机以已知的方式移动牵引滑轮以引起电梯轿厢22的期望的移动和放置。在该实例中的另一个滑轮是惰轮。

另一个实例在图3中示意性地示出。用作承载组件26的一部分的绳索的端视图包括至少一个张力构件32和聚合物护套34。在图3的实例中,可以使用与上面提到的那些相同的材料。
图4示意性地示出了示例性乘客输送机40。在该实例中,多个梯级42以已知的方式移动以在层站44、46之间运载乘客。提供扶手48以供乘客在输送机40上行进时抓住。
如图6所示,扶手48包括至少部分地被聚合物护套34覆盖的多个张力构件32,例如钢丝缆绳或聚合物基质复合材料张力元件或构件。聚合物护套在该实例中形成扶手48的抓握表面和主体。
图4的实例还包括用于沿期望的方向推动梯级42的驱动装置50。电动机52旋转驱动滑轮54以引起传动带56的移动。如图5所示,示例性传动带56具有被护套34覆盖的多个细长的缆绳张力构件32。护套材料形成与驱动滑轮54上的相应表面相互作用的齿57。梯级链58(图4)与传动带56上的齿59接合以引起梯级42的期望移动。在该实例中,齿57和59位于传动带56的相对侧。
当将金属用于任何示例性张力构件32时,金属材料可以未涂覆、涂覆有或镀有保护性金属。例如,基础含铁金属可以涂覆有或镀有锌、锡或铜。在另一个实施方案中,当将聚合物基质复合材料用于任何示例性张力构件32时,聚合物基质复合材料可以未涂覆或涂覆有或共混有促进所述聚合物基质复合材料与弹性体或橡胶聚合物护套34之间的粘附的添加剂。添加剂可以包括但不限于以下至少一种:聚膦酸酯均聚物、膦酸酯低聚物、膦酸酯碳酸酯共低聚物、聚膦酸酯-聚碳酸酯共聚物、膦酸酯共低聚物和聚膦酸酯-聚酯共聚物及其共混物。
在每个上述示例性组件中,护套材料包含促进阻燃性的一种或多种添加剂。所示实施方案中的护套材料包括与硅氧烷聚合物和膦酸酯聚合物或其共混物和混合物中的至少一种共混的基础材料。基础材料是热塑性或热固性弹性体和橡胶聚合物中的一种。在一个实例中,护套材料是弹性的。例如,基础材料可以包括诸如聚氨酯的弹性体。
示例性膦酸酯聚合物包括但不限于以下至少一种:聚膦酸酯均聚物、膦酸酯低聚物、膦酸酯碳酸酯共低聚物、聚膦酸酯-聚碳酸酯共聚物、膦酸酯共低聚物和聚膦酸酯-聚酯共聚物及其共混物。膦酸酯聚合物以约0重量%至约50重量%的量共混到基础材料中。示例性硅氧烷聚合物包括但不限于以下至少一种:聚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜硅氧烷共聚物、聚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物及其共聚物和共混物。硅氧烷聚合物以约0重量%至约100重量%的量共混到弹性体或橡胶聚合物芯材中。
硅氧烷聚合物和膦酸酯基聚合物的组合提供阻燃或耐火协同作用。例如,在起火的情况下,硅氧烷聚合物和膦酸酯基聚合物的组合减少燃烧或火焰蔓延以及护套材料以非线性方式熔滴。降低熔滴抑制火蔓传播和电梯井道或围绕乘客输送机的建筑物结构中的相邻材料的点燃。尽管单独添加硅氧烷聚合物或膦酸酯聚合物提供了耐火性,但是它们的组合令人惊讶地还减少了护套材料在暴露于火或高热条件下的滴落。
此外,硅氧烷聚合物的添加改进了热塑性护套材料随时间的受控滑动和牵引性能,从而消除了对低分子量蜡添加剂的需求。这样的蜡添加剂可能引起材料性能的变化并最终导致高废品率和因制造变化所导致的增加成本。消除或减少这样的添加剂因此提高了成品率并且通过提高性能和可靠性来节约成本。
上述膦酸酯和硅氧烷聚合物不含卤素,因此如果护套材料燃烧,毒性气体不是问题。
硅氧烷聚合物在一些示例性实施方案中包括硅氧烷聚醚酰亚胺嵌段共聚物,如Ultem TM Resin SILTEM-STM1500或STM1700或STM 1600(由Saudi Basic IndustriesCorporation制造)。膦酸酯聚合物在一些示例性实施方案中包含聚膦酸酯聚合物或低聚物,诸如HM1100、OL5000、OL3000、OL3001、OL5001(FRX Polymers,Inc.)
加入到护套材料中的硅氧烷和膦酸酯聚合物是可熔融挤出的并与护套材料的热塑性基料熔融共混。在一些实例中,护套材料中的聚合物的理想熔融加工温度与热塑性基础材料的理想熔融加工温度基本上相似。在其他实例中,上述聚合物之一的熔融加工温度可能不同于基础材料或其他聚合物的理想熔融加工温度,并且在这种情况下其最初以磨碎的粉末加入。在又一个实例中,一种或两种聚合物可以在普通溶剂中以溶液形式加入到基础弹性体或橡胶材料中,溶剂随后在加工时蒸发以形成最终的固体带或扶手制品。在后一种情况下,一种或多种聚合物和基础材料可以在普通溶剂中呈溶液形式。
在一些实施方案中,护套材料中的每种添加剂聚合物占护套材料总组成的低于约50%。更具体地讲,护套材料可以包含硅氧烷和膦酸酯添加剂聚合物两者,它们各自占护套材料总组成的低于约50%。因为只需要少量的添加剂聚合物来实现所需的耐火特性,所以热塑性护套材料的机械性质(包括耐磨性、拉伸强度和撕裂强度)不受显著影响。
在一个具体实例中,护套材料34包含热塑性聚氨酯、约1-20重量%的HM1100或OL5000或OL3000、或OL3001或OL5001(FRX Polymers,Inc.)和约1-20%重量的UltemTM Resin SILTEM STM1500或STM1600或STM1700(Saudi Basic IndustriesCorporation)。
在不同的实例中,护套材料包含基于醚的热塑性聚氨酯诸如1195(BASF SE)和各自约5-15重量%的/>HM1100或OL5000(FRX Polymers,Inc.)以及UltemTM Resin SILTEM STM1500或STM1600或STM1700(Saudi Basic IndustriesCorporation)。该实例实现了承载组件26的UL1581 FT1耐火等级。
在其他实施方案中,护套材料仅由硅氧烷聚合物、或硅氧烷聚合物和膦酸酯聚合物的组合、或上述弹性体或橡胶基础材料与硅氧烷和膦酸酯聚合物的组合形成。
图7示意性地显示了用于制造耐火制品诸如承重带或绳索、扶手或传动带的示例性方法60。将所选的硅氧烷聚合物材料62(诸如上面提到的那些)、所选的膦酸酯聚合物64(诸如上面提到的那些)和所选的基础材料66(诸如上述热塑性弹性体或橡胶聚合物基础材料)提供给挤出设备68。在一个实例中,硅氧烷聚合物材料62在被提供给挤出设备68前精细研磨。在另一个实例中,将硅氧烷聚合物材料62加热并将熔融形式的硅氧烷聚合物材料提供给挤出设备68。在第三实例中,在热塑性基础材料处于熔融形式的同时,将聚合物62、64中的一者或两者提供给挤出设备68。在又一个实例中,将膦酸酯聚合物64、硅氧烷聚合物62和基础材料66用单螺杆或双螺杆挤出工艺预先配混成单一材料,然后直接进料到护套形成工位70。
当护套材料在护套形成工位70中离开挤出设备68时,护套材料形成为期望的形状。例如,多个线轴72向护套形成工位70供应张力构件32,并且护套被挤出或模制到张力构件32的至少一个外表面上,从而形成期望的组件。在图7的情况下,所得的组件是电梯承载带26。

Claims (25)
1.一种耐火材料,包含:
基础材料,硅氧烷聚合物,和膦酸酯聚合物,
其中所述硅氧烷聚合物包含聚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜硅氧烷共聚物、聚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物及其共聚物和共混物中的至少一种。
2.根据权利要求1所述的耐火材料,其中所述硅氧烷聚合物占所述耐火材料的约0重量%至约100重量%,并且所述膦酸酯聚合物占所述耐火材料的约0重量%至约50重量%。
3.根据权利要求2所述的耐火材料,其中所述硅氧烷聚合物占所述耐火材料的约1重量%至约20重量%,并且所述膦酸酯聚合物占所述耐火材料的约1重量%至约20重量%。
4.根据权利要求3所述的耐火材料,其中所述硅氧烷聚合物占所述耐火材料的约5重量%至约15重量%,并且所述膦酸酯聚合物占所述耐火材料的约5重量%至约15重量%。
5.根据权利要求1所述的耐火材料,其中所述膦酸酯聚合物包含聚膦酸酯均聚物、膦酸酯低聚物、膦酸酯碳酸酯共低聚物、聚膦酸酯-聚碳酸酯共聚物、膦酸酯共低聚物和聚膦酸酯-聚酯共聚物及其共混物中的至少一种。
6.根据权利要求1所述的耐火材料,其中所述基础材料是可压缩的。
7.根据权利要求1所述的耐火材料,其中所述基础材料包括热塑性弹性体、热固性弹性体和橡胶聚合物中的至少一种。
8.根据权利要求7所述的耐火材料,其中所述基础材料是热塑性聚氨酯。
9.根据权利要求1所述的耐火材料,其中所述材料被成形为电梯传动带。
10.一种带,包括:
至少一个张力构件;和
至少部分地覆盖所述至少一个张力构件的护套,所述护套包含耐火材料,所述耐火材料包含:基础材料,硅氧烷聚合物和基于膦酸酯的添加剂,
其中所述硅氧烷聚合物包含聚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜硅氧烷共聚物、聚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物及其共聚物和共混物中的至少一种。
11.根据权利要求10所述的带,其中所述张力构件包括缠绕的金属缆绳。
12.根据权利要求11所述的带,其中所述缠绕的金属缆绳包括钢。
13.根据权利要求10所述的带,其中所述张力构件包括聚合物基质复合材料,所述聚合物基质复合材料在基质材料中包含纤维。
14.根据权利要求13所述的带,其中所述纤维包括碳、玻璃、矿物、液晶和芳纶纤维中的至少一种。
15.根据权利要求13所述的带,其中所述基质材料包括聚氨酯、环氧树脂、双马来酰亚胺、酚醛树脂、聚酰亚胺、聚酯和硅树脂基质复合材料或其混合物和共混物中的至少一种。
16.根据权利要求10所述的带,其中所述硅氧烷聚合物占所述耐火材料的约0重量%至约100重量%,并且所述膦酸酯聚合物占所述耐火材料的约0重量%至约50重量%。
17.根据权利要求16所述的带,其中所述硅氧烷聚合物占所述材料的约1重量%至约20重量%,并且所述膦酸酯聚合物占所述耐火材料的约1重量%至约20重量%。
18.根据权利要求10所述的带,其中所述膦酸酯聚合物包含聚膦酸酯均聚物、膦酸酯低聚物、膦酸酯碳酸酯共低聚物、聚膦酸酯-聚碳酸酯共聚物、膦酸酯共低聚物和聚膦酸酯-聚酯共聚物及其共混物中的至少一种。
19.根据权利要求10所述的耐火材料,其中所述基础材料包括热塑性弹性体、热固性弹性体和橡胶聚合物中的至少一种。
20.一种制造耐火制品的方法,包括:
在挤出设备中将基础材料与硅氧烷聚合物和膦酸酯聚合物组合,以形成一种混合物;以及
挤出所述混合物以形成耐火制品,
其中所述硅氧烷聚合物包含聚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺硅氧烷共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜硅氧烷共聚物、聚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物、聚醚酰亚胺砜聚硅氧烷嵌段共聚物及其共聚物和共混物中的至少一种。
21.根据权利要求20所述的方法,其中所述耐火制品包括用于带的护套。
22.根据权利要求21所述的方法,还包括将至少一个张力构件包裹在所述护套材料中的步骤。
23.根据权利要求20所述的方法,包括以精细研磨的形式向所述挤出设备提供所述硅氧烷聚合物材料。
24.根据权利要求23所述的方法,包括在所述基础材料处于熔融形式的同时将所述硅氧烷聚合物材料提供给所述挤出设备。
25.根据权利要求20所述的方法,其中所述制品是以下至少一种:
电梯带;
乘客输送机扶手,和
传动带。
