Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an EMS exercise apparatus, and more particularly, to an EMS exercise apparatus with a mandibular support table adapted to simply exercise the hyoid muscle groups.
Background
Conventionally, the following EMS exercise machine (EMS training machine) has been known: the muscle contraction is mainly caused by the electric stimulation to muscles and motor nerves, so that the purposes of enhancing muscle strength, preventing muscle atrophy, inhibiting contracture and the like are achieved.
As EMS sports apparatuses, there are commercially available, for example, an apparatus capable of efficiently exercising around the abdomen, an apparatus for intensively exercising the abdominal muscles, an apparatus for efficiently exercising the intended portion (waist, arm, leg), an apparatus for intensively exercising the arm, an apparatus for intensively exercising the leg, and the like. Such as sieptad (registered trademark), and the like. In addition, appliances for exercising facial muscles and the like are also sold in the market. Most of these EMS sports instruments use a dedicated conductive gel sheet, and the cost of expending the expendable product is high because the skin adhesion is reduced after a certain period of use, and therefore the EMS sports instruments must be replaced.
After the age, deterioration of swallowing in the diet or so-called mispharynx in which food is difficult to flow to the esophagus and to the trachea is likely to occur due to deterioration of muscles around the pharyngeal head and deterioration of cooperation/coordination of the respective muscles. This hypopharynx may cause serious symptoms such as "hypopharynx pneumonia".
In order to improve swallowing in such a diet or prevent occurrence of hypopharynx, it is known that it is effective to strengthen muscle strength such as the hyoid bone and the pharyngeal elevating muscle groups.
As EMS exercise devices capable of easily strengthening the muscle strength of the hyoid muscle group and the pharyngeal upper muscle group, there are few devices sold on the market, but as related patent documents, for example, japanese patent application laid-open publication No. 2020-99742 (patent document 1), japanese patent application laid-open publication No. 2007-151747 (patent document 2), japanese patent application laid-open publication No. 2010-533031 (patent document 3), and the like are cited.
On the other hand, these EMS exercise devices (training devices) do not actually perform the action of swallowing food, and therefore, do not perform the optimal muscle strength enhancement and the neural cooperation of the muscles, and there has been proposed a swallowing exercise device that actually performs the action of swallowing food (japanese patent application laid-open No. 2019-195580 (patent document 4)).

Detailed Description
Details of the EMS sports apparatus with a mandibular support stand according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following embodiments include not only the essential features of the present invention but also features that can be selectively employed and features that can be appropriately combined.
< embodiment >
The present embodiment is an EMS exercise apparatus with a mandibular support table for supporting the user's mandible, which is an integrated electrical stimulation device with a USB charging terminal, and has a structure in which the surfaces of a pair of mandibular and geniohyoid muscles in the hyoid upper muscle group are simultaneously supported by 3 electrode pads. According to this configuration, the user can perform muscle training of the hyoid upper muscle group by simply placing the mandible on the mandibular support table and turning on the switch of the EMS exercise device and waiting for a predetermined time (for example, 10 minutes).
< Structure >
As shown in fig. 1, 2, and 3, the EMS exercise apparatus with mandibular support 1 of the present embodiment includes a mandibular support 2, a base 3 of the EMS exercise apparatus, a switch 4, an on/off indicator 5, a pulse intensity dial 6, a charge indicator 7, an electrode 10, an electrode 11, and an electrode 12. The EMS sports apparatus 1 with a mandibular support is mounted by a user 9 on a placement table 8 such as a desk or table. The user 9 can perform muscle training on a specific portion of the hyoid upper muscle group by simply placing the user on the mandibular support table 2.
< description of Structure >
The user 9 uses the EMS exercise apparatus 1 with a mandibular support table by placing the mandibular support table 2 in a state shown in a perspective view of fig. 1 and a side view of fig. 2. In practice, electrodes (EMS pads) 10, 11, 12 are provided on the mandibular support table 2. The muscle strength (muscle) training of the suprahyoid muscle group of the user 9 is performed by the action of the electrodes (EMS pads) 10, 11, 12. The user 9 can perform muscle training while watching a television, while listening to music, and while resting in a relaxed state, without performing training with special intention.
The mandibular support table 2 is a table for supporting (supporting) the mandible of the user 9. The mandible support base 2 is provided with exposed electrodes (EMS pads) 10, 11, 12, and is used by spraying mist-like water to the exposed electrodes by a sprayer to improve conductivity. The following materials are desirable: even if wetted by water, the towel can be used for simply sterilizing the towel with alcohol. For example, a cover of leather, synthetic resin, or the like can be used. Further, since the user places the lower jaw thereon for a predetermined period of time, it is preferable to place a thin cushion (elastic body) in the cover as a countermeasure for reducing fatigue. The mandibular support table 2 itself uses synthetic resin or the like.
The reason for alcohol sterilization is as follows: recently, the spread of a novel coronavirus infectious disease is important in preventing infection when it is supposed to be used in old people facilities, rehabilitation centers, daytime service centers, and the like.
The base 3 supports the head of the user 9 placed on the mandibular support table 2, and thus has a weight for stabilizing the inverted state, and the base 3 ensures a size of the setting surface so that the operating system can be seen in a state where the user 9 places the mandible on the mandibular support table 2. The base 3 is provided with components of an operating system on the upper surface. A rechargeable battery (e.g., a lithium ion battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, etc.) is stored from the back surface of the base 3, not shown, so as to supply power to electrodes (EMS pads) 10, 11, 12 provided on the mandibular support table 2.
The switch 4 is a power switch, and can switch on or off the power by pressing a button.
The on/off indicator 5 includes an LED lamp or the like to perform a lamp extinction, a lighting display, a blinking display, or the like so that the state of power on or off can be visually confirmed. For example, the power-on state is indicated by a lighting display, and the power-off state is notified to the user by extinguishing.
The pulse intensity dial 6 is a rotary switch for changing the intensity of pulses supplied to the electrodes (EMS pads) 10, 11, 12. In the example of fig. 1, since the electric stimulation intensity can be changed simply by rotating the pulse intensity dial 6 with the switching modes such as "weak", "medium", and "strong", the operation can be simplified even when the device is used by an elderly person who is not familiar with the device.
During charging of the rechargeable battery, the charge indicator 7 causes the LED lamp to blink, and when charging is completed, the charge indicator 7 causes the LED lamp to be turned off. The display mode of the LED lamp may be changed and used as appropriate. For example, the blinking display may be performed during charging, and the continuous display may be performed when charging is completed. As shown in fig. 3, charging is performed in a state in which the USB Type-C connector 15 as one end of the USB cable 14 is connected to a USB charging terminal (for example, USB Type-C) provided on the back surface of the cradle 3, and the USB connector 20 as the other end of the USB cable 14 is connected to the USB power conversion adapter 13. Fig. 5 shows a state in which the USB cable 14 is detached from the USB power conversion adapter 13 in the connected state of fig. 3.
The desk/table 8 is a table for setting the EMS sports apparatus 1 with a mandibular support table. Dining tables, living room tables, and the like can be utilized. The height of the table is preferably a height that exactly fits when the EMS sports apparatus 1 with the mandibular support table is set up and the mandible of the user 9 is placed on the mandibular support table 2. For example, in the case of performing muscle training of the hyoid muscle group in a living room or the like, if there is a television or the like, training can be performed while watching the television.
The user 9 may be an elderly person whose hyoid muscle groups are degenerated by aging, or an adult or child whose hyoid muscle groups are degenerated by long-term hospitalization. However, in the case of children, if the child is about 10 years old, which has the ability to properly operate the EMS exercise apparatus 1, the EMS exercise apparatus 1 can be utilized.
The electrodes 10, 11, 12 are exposed EMS electrode pads, and an exposed electrode is used as the electrode. If a conductive gel pad is used, consumable materials are expensive, and the cost increases, so that an exposed electrode is used in this embodiment. To improve conductivity, the electrodes are wetted with water. Has the following constitution: the electrode pad 10 can be provided on the surface of the geniohyoid by merely placing the lower jaw of the user 9 on the lower jaw support table 2, and the electrode pads 11, 12 are provided on the surfaces of a pair of the lower jaw hyoid muscles, thereby supporting the surfaces of the geniohyoid muscles and the surfaces of a pair of the lower jaw hyoid muscles at the same time. Fig. 8 shows the relationship between the hyoid upper muscle group 50, the mandible 51, and the hyoid 52 and an electrode pad (EMS). As shown in fig. 9, the electrode pads (EMS) 10, 11, 12 are configured to simultaneously support a specific portion of the hyoid upper muscle group 50 extending between the hyoid bone 52 and the mandible 51 in a single contact manner. This can easily achieve the training of the muscle strength of the user, and thus can contribute to the durability of the training.
The support column of the EMS sports instrument 1 is connected to a rechargeable battery located on the instrument base 3 via a cable, and pulse is supplied from the rechargeable battery to the EMS pad. After the completion of the charging, the USB cable can be detached to use the EMS sports apparatus 1.
The USB power conversion adapter 13 has a shape as shown in fig. 5, and converts an AC voltage of an AC power supply into a dc voltage, for example, a 5V voltage, to supply power to the rechargeable battery. The USB charging terminal 16 is Type-C supporting power transmission, and can use a plurality of voltages.
A 24 pin USB Type-C connector 15 is provided at one end of the USB cable 14, and a common USB connector 20 is provided at the other end.
Next, a charging operation of the EMS sports implement with the mandibular support stand according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 11.
< charging action of EMS exercise device with mandibular support table >
First, as shown in fig. 3 and 4, the USB Type-C connector 15 at one end of the USB cable 14 is connected to the USB Type-C connector charging terminal 16 (see fig. 4) of the EMS sports apparatus 1 main body with the mandibular support base, the USB connector 20 at the other end of the USB cable 14 is connected to the USB power conversion adapter 13, and when the USB power conversion adapter 13 is plugged into a commercial power outlet (step 101), charging is started (step 102). During charging, the LED lamp of the charge indicator 7 blinks. When the charging is completed, the user is notified of the completion of the charging by turning off or always on the charge indicator 7 to confirm the completion of the charging (step 103). Thus, the charging is completed, and the EMS sports apparatus 1 can be used.
Next, a movement (training) operation of the EMS exercise apparatus with the mandibular support stand according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 12.
< movement motion of EMS movement tool with mandibular support table >
First, as shown in fig. 12, an EMS sports apparatus 1 with a mandibular support table is prepared in advance (step 111). Assume that the EMS sports apparatus 1 is prepared in advance to be charged with electricity. As shown in fig. 4, the user 9 holds the sprayer 17 with water in his hand, and wets the electrode pads 10, 11, 12 by spraying the water 18.
As shown in fig. 6, the user 9 places the lower jaw on the lower jaw support table 2 (step 112). When the switch 4 is turned on by extending an arm (not shown) from a state where the lower jaw is placed, the power supply is turned on (step 113). The pulse intensity dial 6 is turned to set the EMS mode (step 114). For example, in the example of fig. 6, the dial is "weak". Namely, the mode in which the electrical stimulation is the weakest is established. The exercise is performed for a prescribed time (e.g., 10 minutes) to perform a muscle strength strengthening exercise (training) to exercise the supralingual muscle group. After a prescribed time has elapsed, the power supply is automatically turned off (step 116).
Fig. 7 is a side view of an EMS exercise apparatus with a mandibular support table according to another example of the present embodiment.
In the example of fig. 7, the description is omitted because the same as the above-described embodiment is provided except that a baffle (japanese return) is provided on the mandibular support base 22 of the EMS exercise device 21 with the mandibular support base. Since the baffle is provided on the mandibular support table 22, an effect of enhancing stability is achieved when the mandible is placed on the support table.
Fig. 13 is a side view of an EMS exercise apparatus with a mandibular support table according to another example of the present embodiment.
In the example of fig. 13, the description is omitted because the height adjusting portions 34 and 35 are provided on the mandibular support base 32 of the EMS exercising apparatus 31 with the mandibular support base, which is the same as the above-described embodiment. Since the height adjustment portions 34, 35 of the mandibular support table 32 are provided so that the height of the mandibular support table 32 can be adjusted, the height of the mandibular support table on which the mandible is placed can be appropriately adjusted in accordance with the height of the seat height. Thus, the training of the muscle strength of the hyoid upper muscle group can be performed easily by 1 EMS exercise machine from adult to child. The EMS exercise apparatus can also be used as an EMS exercise apparatus for dental correction. In addition, EMS sports apparatuses can be used together with a swallowing trainer in MFT (muscle function training) for correcting bad habits of the tongue. It is also effective in caring skin of people with deep striae due to aging.
Fig. 10 is a functional block diagram of an EMS sports apparatus with a mandibular support table according to the present embodiment.
As shown in fig. 10, the EMS exercise apparatus with a mandibular support table includes an operation unit 40, a control unit 41, a notification unit 42, a power supply unit 43, a pulse generation unit 44, an electrode pad unit 45, a charging terminal 46, a rechargeable battery 47, a charging control unit 48, and an AC adapter 49. These functions can use the same functions as those of the known components.
