The terms "first," "second," "third," "fourth" and the like in the description and in the claims of this application and in the above-described figures, if any, are used for distinguishing between similar objects and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It is to be understood that the data so used may be interchanged where appropriate such that embodiments of the present application described herein may be implemented, for example, in sequences other than those illustrated or otherwise described herein. Furthermore, the terms "comprises," "comprising," and "includes" and any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not necessarily limited to those steps or elements expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
For ease of understanding, some of the terms referred to in this application are described below:
(1) Role-playing game (RPG), which is one type of game. In a game, players are responsible for playing this role in a realistic or fictional world. Players are responsible for playing one or more roles and developing the played roles through some actions under a structured rule. The success and failure of a player in this process depends on a Formal system (action system) of rules or guidelines.
(2) Massive multiplayer online role Playing Game (Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game): many players are online at the same time, and players can interact with each other, and the game world is always in play in a game mode, whether or not the players are logged in. The massive multi-person online role playing game can also be a round-robin massive multi-person online role playing game for emphasizing social contact and an instant massive multi-person online role playing game for emphasizing attack effects.
(3) Equipment: refers to the carrying of specific props (e.g., items of clothing, accessories, medicines, etc.) to the character's body to produce corresponding actions and effects.
(4) Skill object: the game is endowed with attack means and defense means of the game virtual object, and each skill object has separate attack frequency. Such as skill 1 being the group attack skill, skill 2 being the distance skill, skill 3 being the return skill, etc.
(5) Skill slot: each skill slot may be equipped with 1 different category of skill object at the location required for the game to place the skill object. For example, skill 1 is placed at position 1, skill 2 is placed at position 2, and so on.
(6) Cooperative skills: skills that require two persons to cooperate in a game to be practical. Such as double skills in double play mode.
(7) Cooling time: parameters that determine the frequency of attack by a skill object, the shorter the cooling time, the faster the frequency of attack. Such as skill 1 (group attack skill) requires cooling for 10 seconds after each use.
(8) Game playing method: a copy, a task, and the like provided in the game class APP (Application). In the development stage, game play is what is planned to be designed by editing configuration data. During the run phase, APP users often experience the gameplay by controlling virtual objects. For example, a virtual object controlled by a user enters an area provided by the game APP, and virtual resources are obtained after a reference number of other virtual objects are defeated in the area, thereby being used as a game playing method. In this embodiment, game play for a game task is also referred to as task information.
(9) Virtual object: a game character that a user controls in a game. For example, in a role playing game, the user plays a role a in the game, and in the game interface, the game virtual object of the role a will be displayed. The user can operate the game virtual object of the character a to move, give out skills, or social actions, etc. through a click operation or a drag action or a touch sliding operation.
With the rapid development of network technology, network games play an important role in the daily entertainment mode of people. In order to attract users, network games often add new play and new game map information in the operation and maintenance process. When a new game map or a new game play appears, in order to facilitate a user to more intuitively acquire game play information, it is highly desirable to design a new game interface display method to display the information.

It will be appreciated that there may be other different representations of the design of the mode control in the task interface, as shown in fig. 3b, where a slidable selection control is presented in the first task interface, which when slid to the corresponding position will determine to select the corresponding game mode.
In this embodiment, under the first task interface, the terminal device may respond to the operation on the task control, and display a popup window, where the popup window displays task information, task rewarding information, and task completion status information of the game task corresponding to the task control. It will be appreciated that the task information may include the task name of the game task and the play content of the game task. The mission incentive information may include information about a particular incentive species, incentive items, and the like. The task completion status information is used for indicating whether the game task is already closed, indicating that the game is not closed when the game is not closed, and indicating information such as closing time when the game is already closed. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 4a, in response to a clicking operation of the task control 1, the terminal device pops up a first popup window with a preset size at a preset position of the first task interface, where the first popup window indicates information related to the task information 1 under the game task 1 indicated by the task control 1. In the exemplary scenario shown in fig. 4a, the task information 1 is "riding crane"; the playing content is 'go to game map 1, find guiding NPC, and go through once riding crane challenges'; the mission rewards are "pet: crane'; the game status is "incomplete". It can be understood that the display manner in the first popup window is only an exemplary scheme in this embodiment, and the specific case may be set by the user himself, which is not limited herein.
It will be appreciated that in this embodiment, the first popup window may further include a path-finding control, as shown in fig. 4b, where the path-finding control may be set to "go to". In this embodiment, the way-finding control can facilitate the virtual object to quickly enter the game scene corresponding to the game task, thereby improving the game experience of the game user.
It will be appreciated that, in order to intuitively display the game progress of the game task, each task control in the first task interface may further include a third icon (which may also be referred to as a punch-card icon) for indicating that the game task has been cleared. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 5, if the server determines that the target virtual object has already cleared the game task corresponding to the task control 2, the task control 2 will display the punch-card icon "done". It will be appreciated that the punch icon may also be as shown in fig. 5a, that is, the punch icon may indicate that the target virtual object has cleared the game task, and the specific embodiment is not limited herein.
Optionally, in this embodiment, under the task information based on punching cards of the game tasks, the first task interface may further display a game progress control capable of displaying the game progress of the game tasks in a centralized manner. And the terminal equipment can respond to clicking operation of the game progress control, display a third popup window and display an icon set of the game task which is passed by the target virtual object in the first game mode in the third popup window. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 6, the task progress control (may also be referred to as a game progress control) is displayed in the first task interface, and after clicking on the task progress control, the first task interface displays a third popup window with a preset size at a preset position, where an icon of the game task 2 that may have been cleared in the third popup window may be displayed. It will be appreciated that the fourth popup may also be displayed as shown in fig. 6a, where a number of icon bits is displayed on the fourth popup, the number of icon bits being the same as the number of task controls in the first set of task controls. When a game task in the first game mode is cleared, an icon of the cleared game task is displayed on the icon position. The icon bits may be displayed sequentially according to the time sequence of the clearance or according to the one-to-one correspondence between the icon bits and the game tasks. As shown in fig. 6a, if the game task of the first clearance is game task 2, the icon of game task 2 will be displayed on left 1; the game task of the second clearance is game task 3, and then the icon of game task 3 is displayed on right 1; the game task of the third pass is game task 1, and the icon of game task 1 will be displayed on left 2, and so on. As shown in fig. 6b, the corresponding relationship between the icon bits in the second popup window and the game tasks is as follows: the icon bit on the left 1 corresponds to game task 1; the icon bit on right 1 corresponds to game task 2; the icon bit on left 2 corresponds to game task 3; the icon bit on right 2 corresponds to game task 4; the icon bit on the left 3 corresponds to game task 5; the icon bit on right 3 corresponds to game task 6. The left 1 icon bit will display the game task 1 icon when the game task 1 is in the clearance, and the right 2 icon bit will display the game task 4 icon when the game task 4 is in the clearance.
In a game, the game tasks may have different designs, so that different game tasks may have different game scenes, and different game actions may be designed where the designed game landscape is more specific. At this time, different task controls can also set corresponding guide icons or guide controls. As shown in fig. 7, in the first task interface, the task control 1 may set a guide icon for guiding "photographing"; the task control 2 can set a guiding icon for guiding 'playing video'; the task control 3 may be provided with a guide icon for guiding "to conduct a task dialogue with the NPC". The user can intuitively know the scenery or special design of different game scenes through the guide icons, and the interaction between the user and the game is increased. It will be appreciated that the guideline icon or guideline control may be user-defined, and is not limited in this regard.
202. Responding to the operation of the target virtual character on the second mode control, displaying a second task interface where the target virtual character is located, wherein the second task interface is a task interface used for representing the target virtual character in a second game mode, the second task interface displays a second task control set of the target virtual character in the second game mode, and the first mode control and the second mode control; the second set of task controls is used to characterize a set of tasks that the target virtual character needs to complete in the second game mode, wherein the second mode controls are in a selected state.
When entering the first task interface, the first task interface may default to select the first game mode, while the first task interface will display the first set of task controls in the first game mode. When the user clicks the game mode selection control to enable the game mode to be switched to the second game mode, the first task interface is switched to the second task interface, and therefore a second task control set corresponding to the second game mode is displayed. In an exemplary scenario, when the first game mode is switched to the second game mode, the second task interface may be as shown in fig. 8, that is, the first task interface shown in fig. 3a is switched to the second task interface shown in fig. 8. At the first task interface as shown in fig. 8, the second task control set includes a task control 1, a task control 2, a task control 3, a task control 4, a task control 5 and a task control 6. And the game mode selection control is in the form of a clickable control. And the task controls 1 to 6 are provided with second icons in the concentric game play mode, and at the moment, the second icons are in one-to-one correspondence with the task controls. Under this scheme, there may be the following design: the game task names indicated by the first task control set are the same as the game task names and the game task numbers indicated by the second task control set, and the task information of the game tasks indicated by the first task control set is different from the task information of the game tasks indicated by the second task control set; the task rewards of the game tasks indicated by the first task control set are different from the task rewards of the game tasks indicated by the second task control set. For example, the task controls 3 each indicate a "view" task. In a single game mode, the task information of the 'view' task is 'go to game map 3, find guiding NPC, and watch a mountain view'; the task rewards of the ' viewing ' task are ' special props: telescope "; in a double game mode, the task information of the 'view' task is 'go to game map 3, find and guide NPC, two people team watch a mountain scene'; the task rewards of the ' viewing ' task are ' special props: concentric mirrors).
It will be appreciated that the second task interface after switching may also be as shown in fig. 9, i.e. the first task interface shown in fig. 3 is switched to the second task interface shown in fig. 9. In the second task interface shown in fig. 9, the second task control set includes a task control 2, a task control 4, a task control 5, and a task control 6. And the game mode selection control is in the form of a clickable control. And the task control 2, the task control 4, the task control 5 and the task control 6 are provided with second icons in the concentric play mode, and the second icons are in one-to-one correspondence with the task controls. The second icon corresponding to the task control may be set by the user, which is not limited herein. Under this scheme, there may be the following design: the game task names indicated by the first task control set are different from the game task names and the game task numbers indicated by the second task control set, and the task information of the game tasks indicated by the first task control set is different from the task information of the game tasks indicated by the second task control set; the task rewards of the game tasks indicated by the first task control set are different from the task rewards of the game tasks indicated by the second task control set. For example, in the single person game mode, the task control 4 indicates a "view" task, and the task information of the "view" task is "go to the game map 4, find the guiding NPC, and view the mountain view" once; the task rewards of the ' viewing ' task are ' special props: telescope "; in the double game mode, the task control 4 indicates a 'pleasure boat' task, the task information of the 'pleasure boat' task is 'go to the game map 4, the NPC is found and guided, and two people team take a boat to travel a lake'; the mission rewards of the ' pleasure boat ' mission are ' special props: concentric knots).
It can be understood that the first task interface and the second task interface only are described differently for interfaces in different modes, and in practical application, the first task interface and the first task interface are presentation interfaces of different task controls and corresponding icons on the same background interface. The operation of exiting the first task interface and entering the second task interface is not performed when the first task interface is switched to the second task interface.
In this embodiment, the participation rules of the participation game may also be different in different game modes. When the first game mode is a single play mode, the participation rule is as follows: "unlimited"; when the second game mode is the concentric play mode, the participation rule thereof may be set to "the state information of the virtual object reaches the unlock condition participatable". It can be understood that the status information of the target virtual object may be social relationship level (such as whether a lover relationship or a couple relationship or a teacher-to-wife relationship) between the target virtual object and other target virtual objects, or the likeness level of the target virtual object and other target virtual objects, or the game level of the target virtual object, etc.
Meanwhile, in the second game mode, the participation rules of different game tasks can be different. For example, the participation rules in the game task 1 are: "Concentric relation of virtual objects reaches level 1"; the participation rules in the game task 2 are as follows: "concentric relationship of virtual objects reaches level 5", and so on. When the server judges that the state information of the target virtual object does not meet the participation rule of the game task, the server sends indication information to the terminal equipment, so that a second icon of a task control of the game task is displayed as a state icon on the terminal equipment, and the state icon indicates that the state information of the target virtual object does not meet the unlocking condition of the game task, namely the game task is displayed as an unoccupied state. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 10, in the first task interface, if the game task 2 indicated by the task control 2 is not unlocked, the game task 2 will display a status icon. The status icon may be set in various ways, such as "unlocked" as shown in fig. 10, and is not limited in particular herein. And when judging that the state information of the target virtual object meets the participation rule of the game task, the server sends indication information to the terminal equipment, so that a second icon of the task control of the game task is displayed as a playing icon on the terminal equipment, and at the moment, the first task interface is switched from the figure 10 to the figure 9.
It will be appreciated that the first mode control and the second mode control may also have other different representations, and that a slidable selection control may be presented in the first task interface, as shown in fig. 3b, which when slid to the corresponding position will determine that the corresponding game mode is selected.
In this embodiment, under the first task interface, the terminal device may respond to the operation on the task control, display the second popup window, and display task information, task reward information, and task completion status information of the game task corresponding to the task control. It will be appreciated that the task information may include game task names and play content of game tasks. The mission incentive information may include information about a specific incentive variety, incentive goods, and the like. The task completion status information is used for indicating whether the game task is already closed, indicating that the game is not closed when the game is not closed, and indicating information such as closing time when the game is already closed. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 11a, in response to a clicking operation of the task control 1, the terminal device pops up a popup window with a preset size at a preset position of the first task interface, where the popup window indicates information related to the task information 1 under the game task 1 indicated by the task control 1. In the exemplary scenario shown in fig. 11a, the task information 1 is "riding crane"; the playing content is 'go to game task 1, find and guide NPC, and with team friend group team clearance one-time riding crane challenge' with concentric relation; the mission rewards are "pet: crane'; the game status information is "completed, completion time 2022, 7 months, 22 days". It can be understood that the display manner in the pop-up window is only an exemplary scheme in this embodiment, and the specific case may be set by the user himself, which is not limited herein.
It will be appreciated that in this embodiment, the second popup window may further include a path-finding control, as shown in fig. 11b, where the path-finding control may be set to "go to". In this embodiment, the way-finding control can facilitate the virtual object to quickly enter the game scene corresponding to the game task, thereby improving the game experience of the game user.
It will be appreciated that, in order to visually display the game progress of the game task, each task control in the first task interface may also be used to indicate a third icon (which may also be referred to as a punch-card icon) that the game task has been cleared. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 11, if the server determines that the target virtual object has already cleared the game task corresponding to the task control 3, the task control 3 will display a punch-card icon "done". It will be appreciated that the punch icon may also be as shown in fig. 5a, that is, the punch icon may indicate that the target virtual object has cleared the game task, and the specific embodiment is not limited herein. As can be seen from fig. 11 and fig. 5, the game progress of the same user in the first game mode and the second game mode does not affect each other.
Optionally, in this embodiment, under the task information based on punching cards of the game tasks, the first task interface may further display a task progress control capable of displaying the game progress of the game task in a centralized manner. The terminal device may display a fourth pop-up window in response to a clicking operation on the task progress control (may also be referred to as a game progress control), and display, in the fourth pop-up window, an icon set of game tasks that have been cleared in the second game mode. In an exemplary scenario, as shown in fig. 12, the task progress control is displayed in the first task interface, and after clicking the task progress control, the second task interface displays a fifth popup window of a preset size at a preset position, where an icon of the game task 2 that has been cleared may be displayed in the fifth popup window. It will be appreciated that the fifth popup may also be displayed as shown in fig. 12a, where a number of icon bits is displayed on the fifth popup, the number of icon bits being the same as the number of task controls in the first set of task controls. When a game task in the first game mode is cleared, an icon of the cleared game task is displayed on the icon position. The icon bits may be displayed sequentially in the time sequence of the clearance or may be displayed in a one-to-one correspondence with the game tasks. As shown in fig. 12a, if the game task of the first clearance is game task 2, the icon of game task 2 will be displayed on left 1; the game task of the second clearance is game task 4, and then the icon of game task 4 is displayed on right 1; the game task of the third pass is game task 6, then the icon of game task 1 will be displayed on left 2, and so on. As shown in fig. 12b, the correspondence between the icon bits in the fourth popup window and the game tasks is as follows: the icon bit on left 1 corresponds to game task 2; the icon bit on right 1 corresponds to game task 4; the icon bit on left 2 corresponds to game task 5; the icon bit on right 2 corresponds to game task 6. The left 1 icon bit will display the icon of game task 2 when game task 2 is in the clearance, and the right 1 icon bit will display the icon of game task 4 when game task 4 is in the clearance.
In this embodiment, under the task information based on the punch-card chapter, when the state information of the target virtual object is switched from the condition that the multi-player playing mode is satisfied to the condition that the multi-player playing mode is not satisfied, the icon set of the target virtual object in the multi-player playing mode is emptied, and at this time, in response to the operation of the task progress control in the multi-player playing mode, no icon of the game task will be displayed in the popup window. As shown in fig. 12 c.
In a game, the game tasks may have different designs, so that different game tasks may have different game scenes, and different game actions may be designed where the designed game landscape is more specific. In different game modes, the game scenery may also be different, and at this time, corresponding guiding icons or guiding controls may also be set for each task control in the second task control set. As shown in fig. 13, in the first task interface, the task control 2 may set a guide icon for guiding "photographing"; the task control 4 can set a guiding icon for guiding 'playing video'; the task control 6 may be provided with a guide icon for guiding "to conduct a task dialogue with the NPC". The user can intuitively know the scenery or special design of different game scenes through the guide icons, and the interaction between the user and the game is increased. It will be appreciated that the guideline icon or guideline control may be user-defined, and is not limited in this regard.
In this embodiment, the first game mode may be set to a single-player play mode, and the second game mode may be set to a multiplayer play mode. It will be appreciated that the multiplayer play mode may set a variety of conditions, such as a concentric play mode (i.e., a play mode for a lover in a game) or a multiplayer copy play mode. The specific examples are not limited herein. Based on the foregoing, in one exemplary scenario, when the first task interface displays a game mode selection control, the game mode selection control may be used to select a single play mode, a concentric play mode, and a multiple copy play mode, as specifically illustrated in fig. 14.
In this embodiment, the first game mode is a single-player game mode, and the second game mode is a multi-player game mode. If the first game mode is a multi-player game mode and the second game mode is a single player game mode, the first task interface will be displayed in fig. 8-13 first and then switch to fig. 3-7.
