Abstract

Description

阴极射线管电子枪的阴极结构
本发明涉及阴极射线管(CRT)电子枪的阴极结构,更具体地,涉及采用场致发射装置的阴极射线管。
在现有监视器或电视机的CRT中采用间接加热或直接加热的阴极作为热电子发射源。由于常规阴极结构的热电子发射材料由特殊加热源加热以发射热电子,这不可避免地产生某些问题。首先,由于热电子发射材料是在用于支撑热电子发射材料的支撑部件被加热源产生的热量加热之后才被加热,故发射正常热电子的期间相对长。因此,在CRT上形成图象所需的时间增加到例如8或9秒。
其次,由于用于支撑热电子发射材料的支撑部件的热膨胀而发生热移现象。
第三,为了加热热电子发射材料需要2和4瓦的功率消耗。
为了克服上述问题,已提出采用场致发射装置的阴极结构。参考图1,阴极结构由电极部件11、与电极部件相结合的绝缘部件12和装在绝缘部件12上并具有场致发射装置的单元20构成。
如图2和3所示,单元20包括基片21和以预定图样形成在基片21上的三个阴极层22。用于响应于红、绿、蓝信号而发射电子束的多个金属尖端23形成在阴极层22上。各个金属尖端23由具有开口24a的绝缘层24彼此隔离,而具有金属尖端23由其露出的门25a的门电极层25形成在绝缘层24的顶部。
在如上所述的常规阴极结构的操作中,从金属尖端23发射的电子的数量是通过将负或零电压加到阴极层22而将正电压加到门电极层25来控制的。而且,由于门电极层形成在基片21的整个表面上,驱动信号被门电极层25和阴极层22间的电容所畸变。
为了解决上述问题,本发明的目的是提供用于CRT电子枪的阴极结构,其中可以通过减小门电极和阴极电极间的电容来防止用于控制从金属尖端发射的电子束的驱动信号的畸变。
因此,为完成上述目的,提供了CRT电子枪的阴极结构,它包括基片、以预定间隔形成在基片上的阴极电极层、形成在阴极电极层上表面上用于发射电子的金属尖端、形成在阴极电极层和基片上用于将各个金属尖端彼此隔离的绝缘层、形成在绝缘层顶部并具有金属尖端由其露出的门的第一门电极层、以及形成在绝缘层上从第一门电极层水平延伸并被一个空隙分成几部分的第二门电极层。
而且,优选地,连接到阴极电极层的阴极头部分被形成在有空隙的绝缘层之间。

图4到图6示出根据本发明的CRT电子枪阴极结构的实施例。参考附图,阴极结构包括基片51、形成在基片51上彼此以优点间隔隔开的三个阴极电极层52和形成在阴极电极层52上用于发射电子的多个金属尖端53。此处,阴极头部分52a横向于阴极电极层52延伸。
具有开口54a的绝缘层54形成在在其上形成有阴极电极层52的基片51上以便绝缘层54将各个金属尖端53隔离开。而且,在绝缘层54的顶部形成有具有门56a以便从其中露出金属尖端53的第一门电极层56和横向于第一门电极层56延伸的第二门电极层57。第二门电极层57被空隙60分成几部分,绝缘层54从空隙60露出。阴极头部分52a形成在空隙60位于其中的绝缘层54的下表面和基片51的上表面之间。
在根据以上所述的本发明的CRT电子枪的阴极结构的操作中,将预定电压或地电压加到各个阴极电极层52而将正电压加到第一和第二门电极层56和57,从而控制从金属尖端53发射的电子的数量。
根据本发明,第二门电极层57被分成几部分并且在阴极电极层52和阴极头部分52a之上的第二门电极层57中有空隙60,以便门电极层的电容能被减小。特别地,由于阴极电极层52未形成在绝缘层54的下表面上,可以防止电子电荷的积累,从而减小电容。门电极电容的减小防止用于控制由金属尖端产生的电子束的驱动信号的畸变。

Claims (2)

1.一种阴极射线管(CRT)电子枪的阴极结构,包括:
基片;
以预定间隔形成在所述基片上彼此隔开的阴极电极层;
形成在所述阴极电极层上表面上用于发射电子的金属尖端;
形成在所述阴极电极层和所述基片上用于将各个所述金属尖端彼此隔离的绝缘层;
形成在所述绝缘层顶部并具有所述金属尖端由其露出的门的第一门电极层;
以及形成在所述绝缘层上从所述第一门电极层水平延伸并被一个空隙分成几部分的第二门电极层。
2.根据权利要求1所述的CRT电子枪的阴极结构,其特征在于还包括连接到所述阴极电极层的阴极头部分被形成在有所述空隙的绝缘层之间而所述基片连接到所述阴极电极层。
