Abstract

Description
背景技术
本发明涉及一种低光泽深色基础组合物,其可用于制备表现出水溶性材料浸出减少的漆。
呈无光和蛋壳光泽的深色底漆含有高水平的着色剂(每加仑漆8至16盎司着色剂)。当将深色底漆施涂到基材上并使其干燥时,随时间的推移暴露于水滴会导致严重的水渍,这归因于水溶性材料诸如表面活性剂、分散剂、流变改性剂、水溶性低聚物和消泡剂从漆膜中浸出。在将漆施涂到基材上之后不久,在成膜不完全之前甚至更可能出现水渍,且水能够渗透涂层的表面,同时伴随水溶性材料的浸出。在低光泽漆配方中,浸出尤其显著,因为产生低光泽漆所需的大量非成膜增量剂产生更多孔的膜,该膜甚至更容易渗出水溶性材料。因此,在低光泽漆配方领域中寻找降低水溶性渗出水平的方法将是一种进步。
发明内容
本发明通过提供一种组合物解决了本领域的需求,该组合物包含以下物质的水性分散体:a)z平均粒度在80nm至500nm范围内的聚合物颗粒;b)D50粒度在1μm至30μm范围内的聚合交联有机微球;c)着色剂和d)锌或锆化合物;其中,基于该组合物的重量,该聚合物颗粒的浓度在10重量%至40重量%的范围内;该聚合交联有机微球的浓度在5重量%至35重量%的范围内;该着色剂的浓度在5重量%至25重量%的范围内;并且该锌或锆化合物的浓度在0.1重量%至10重量%的范围内。本发明的组合物可用于深色基础、低光泽漆配方中。
具体实施方式
本发明是一种组合物,该组合物包含以下物质的水性分散体:a)z平均粒度在80nm至500nm范围内的聚合物颗粒;b)D50粒度在1μm至30μm范围内的聚合交联有机微球;c)着色剂和d)锌或锆化合物;其中,基于该组合物的重量,该聚合物颗粒的浓度在10重量%至40重量%的范围内;该聚合交联有机微球的浓度在5重量%至35重量%的范围内;该着色剂的浓度在5重量%至25重量%的范围内;并且该锌或锆化合物的浓度在0.1重量%至10重量%的范围内。
该聚合物颗粒优选地是丙烯酸类的,这意味着这些聚合物颗粒包含基于聚合物颗粒重量的至少30重量%的一种或多种甲基丙烯酸酯单体(诸如甲基丙烯酸甲酯和甲基丙烯酸乙酯)和/或一种或多种丙烯酸酯单体(诸如丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸2-丙基庚酯和丙烯酸2-乙基己酯)的结构单元。该丙烯酸类聚合物还可包括烯键式不饱和酸单体(诸如甲基丙烯酸、丙烯酸和衣康酸)或其盐以及其他非丙烯酸酯或甲基丙烯酸酯单体(诸如苯乙烯和乙酸乙烯酯)的结构单元。如本文所用,术语“结构单元”在本文中用于描述所述单体在聚合后的残余物。例如,甲基丙烯酸甲酯的结构单元如下所示:

基于该组合物的重量,该聚合物颗粒的浓度在10重量%、优选地15重量%至35重量%、更优选地至30重量%的范围内。优选地,聚合物颗粒的平均粒度在100nm至300nm、更优选地至250nm的范围内,如使用动态光散射分析仪所测量的。
该聚合物有机微球是交联的并且优选地是多级的,其优选地具有:第一级,该第一级包含被交联以提供弹性并且不扩散到基材的低Tg(≤20℃,优选地<10℃,更优选地<0℃,如通过Fox公式计算)均聚物或共聚物;和高Tg第二级(≥30℃,优选地大于50℃,如通过Fox方程计算),以提供在室温下不成膜的微球。优选地,至少50重量%、更优选地至少70重量%并且最优选地至少80重量%的交联的第一级包含以下物质的结构单元:I)丙烯酸丁酯或丙烯酸乙酯或它们的组合;和II)多烯键式不饱和非离子单体,诸如甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯、丙烯酸烯丙酯、二乙烯基苯、三羟甲基丙烷三甲基丙烯酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷三丙烯酸酯、丁二醇(1,3)二甲基丙烯酸酯、丁二醇(1,3)二丙烯酸酯、乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯或乙二醇二丙烯酸酯。优选地,I:II的比率在99.5:0.5至90:10的范围内;优选地,甲基丙烯酸甲酯均聚物占第二级的至少60重量%、更优选地至少80重量%并且最优选地100重量%。
聚合有机多级交联微球优选地具有在2μm、更优选地4μm至优选地25μm、更优选至15μm并且最优选地至13μm范围内的平均粒度(技术上,中值重均粒度,D50),如使用盘式离心光沉降仪所测量,如下文所述。基于该组合物的重量,聚合物有机微球的浓度在5重量%、优选地10重量%并且优选地15重量%至35重量%、优选地至30重量%的范围内。聚合物颗粒与聚合有机多级交联微球的重量比优选地在80:20、更优选地70:30、最优选地65:35至40:60、更优选地50:50并且最优选地55:45的范围内。
多级交联微球的水性分散体可以多种方式制备,包括在US 2013/0052454、US4403003、7768602、7829626和US 2019/0185687 A1段落[0014]至[0044]和[0052]中描述的那些。
着色剂是非白色着色剂并且可以是有机的或无机的。有机着色剂的示例包括酞菁蓝、酞菁绿、单芳基化物黄、二芳基化物黄、苯并咪唑酮黄、杂环黄、喹吖啶酮品红、喹吖啶酮紫、有机红,包括金属化偶氮红和非金属化偶氮红。无机着色剂包括炭黑、灯黑、黑色氧化铁、黄色氧化铁、棕色氧化铁和红色氧化铁。基于该组合物的重量,着色剂的浓度优选地在5重量%、优选地8重量%、更优选地10重量%至25重量%、更优选地至20重量%的范围内。
基于该组合物的重量,锌或锆化合物的浓度优选地在0.2重量%、更优选地0.5重量%并且最优选地1重量%至优选地8重量%、更优选地至5重量%的范围内。如本文所用,术语“锌化合物”是指含有+2氧化态的锌的化合物。合适的锌化合物的示例包括ZnO、Zn(NH3)2(CO3)2、ZnCl2、ZnSO4和Zn(OAc)2。Zinplex 15碳酸锌铵是可商购获得的Zn(NH3)2(CO3)2化合物的示例。
类似地,“锆化合物”是指含有+4氧化态的锆的化合物。合适的锆化合物的示例包括ZrO2、ZrCl4、ZrBr4、Zr(OAc)4、Zr(SO4)2和Zr(NH3)2(CO3)2(OH)2。Bacote 20碳酸锆铵是可商购获得的Zr(NH3)2(CO3)2(OH)2化合物的示例。
本发明的组合物可另外包含蜡颗粒,诸如下式的聚乙烯(PE)蜡颗粒:
-(CH2CH2)n-
其中n为72至360。
PE蜡可以是低密度PE蜡、线性低密度PE蜡或高密度PE蜡。如果存在,基于该组合物的重量,聚乙烯蜡的浓度优选地在0.1重量%至3重量%的范围内。如使用动态光散射测量的平均粒度优选地在0.3μm、更优选地0.8μm至优选地20μm、更优选地至15μm并且最优选地至10μm的范围内。
本发明的组合物有利地包含一种或多种附加的添加剂,诸如流变改性剂、消泡剂、中和剂、表面活性剂、有机不透明颜料和分散剂。
本发明的组合物优选地包含基本上不存在的增量剂。如本文所用,“基本上不存在的增量剂”是指任何白色、半透明或半透明的无机颗粒填料(含锌和锆的化合物除外)的颜料体积浓度(PVC)小于10、更优选地小于5、更优选地小于1并且最优选地为0,其不赋予显著的(非白色)颜色或色调。因此,该组合物包含基本上不存在的TiO2、BaSO4;硅酸盐和硅铝酸盐,诸如滑石、粘土、云母和绢云母;CaCO3;霞石;长石;硅灰石;高岭石;磷酸二钙;和硅藻土。
如本文所用,增量剂PVC由以下等式定义:
其中“总固体”包括TiO2(如果存在)、增量剂、聚合物颗粒和微球,以及构成最终干燥涂层体积的其他固体(例如不透明聚合物)。
该组合物优选地还包含小于0.4重量%、更优选地小于0.2重量%、更优选地小于0.1重量%并且最优选地0重量%的二酰肼或多胺或其加合物。如本文所用,“其加合物”是指二酰肼或多胺与含羰基化合物诸如甲醛的反应产物。
已经发现,本发明的组合物可用于制备形成具有降低的水溶性材料渗出的涂层的深色基础低光泽漆配方。
实施例
中间体实施例-聚合有机交联微球的制备
用于以下实施例的多级聚合有机交联微球的水性分散体如US 2019/185687,中间体实施例2[第0060段]中所述制备,并调节至43.5%固体。如US 2019/185687的第[0063]段中所述,如通过DCP所测量,粒度为8.7μm。
表1是用于制备低光泽深色底漆的材料和用量的列表。丙烯酸乳液是指RHOPLEXTMVSR1049LOE丙烯酸乳液(50%固体);PE蜡是指Michem Guard 1350PE蜡;消泡剂是指Byk-024消泡剂;RM-1600是指ACRYSOLTMRM-1600流变改性剂;RM-725是指ACRYSOLTMRM-725流变改性剂;着色剂是指Colortrend 808红色氧化铁着色剂;Zn化合物是指Zinplex 15碳酸锌铵;Zr化合物是指Bacote 20碳酸锆铵。所有的量以重量百分比表示。RHOPLEX和ACRYSOL是陶氏化学公司(The Dow Chemical Company)或其附属公司的商标。

测试方法:
遵循ASTM D7190方法评价对由水溶性材料的浸出引起的水渍的抗性。使用7密耳的Dow刮涂棒在Black Leneta乙烯基卡片上刮涂漆。将每个刮涂物分成三部分以在干燥1天和4天时进行两次测试。在测试前使涂层在77℉(25℃)和50%相对湿度下干燥。将水滴(0.1mL)置于涂层的第一指定区域的顶部并使其静置10分钟。10分钟后,将卡片提升至竖直位置,这允许水向下流动。干燥过夜后评价可见的水渍,并以1至5的等级主观评级,其中5被评级为最佳,并且1被评级为最差。3级或更好的等级被认为是可接受的。表2示出了经受水渍法的漆在1天和4天的水溶性材料浸出等级。

数据显示,含有锌或锆化合物的漆显示出可接受的浸出等级,而不含锌或锆化合物的漆不合格。
Claims (10)
1.一种组合物,所述组合物包含以下物质的水性分散体:a)z平均粒度在80nm至500nm范围内的聚合物颗粒;b)D50粒度在1μm至30μm范围内的聚合交联有机微球;c)着色剂和d)锌或锆化合物;其中,基于所述组合物的重量,所述聚合物颗粒的浓度在10重量%至40重量%的范围内;所述聚合交联有机微球的浓度在5重量%至35重量%的范围内;所述着色剂的浓度在5重量%至25重量%的范围内;并且
所述锌或锆化合物的浓度在0.1重量%至10重量%的范围内。
2.根据权利要求1所述的组合物,所述组合物还包含小于10PVC的无机增量剂;其中聚合物颗粒与聚合有机多级交联微球的重量比在80:20至40:60的范围内。
3.根据权利要求2所述的组合物,其中基于所述组合物的重量,所述聚合物颗粒的浓度在15重量%至35重量%的范围内,并且基于所述组合物的重量,所述聚合交联有机微球的浓度在10重量%至30重量%的范围内,其中所述无机增量剂的浓度小于5PVC。
4.根据权利要求2所述的组合物,所述组合物还包含小于0.4重量%的二酰肼和多胺及其加合物;其中聚合物颗粒与聚合有机多级交联微球的重量比在70:30至50:50的范围内。
5.根据权利要求3所述的组合物,其中基于所述组合物的重量,所述着色剂的浓度在8重量%至20重量%的范围内;基于所述组合物的重量,所述锌或锆化合物的浓度在0.2重量%至8重量%的范围内;并且所述组合物包含小于0.4重量%的二酰肼和多胺及其加合物;其中
聚合物颗粒与聚合有机多级交联微球的重量比在70:30至50:50的范围内。
6.根据权利要求4所述的组合物,其中所述着色剂是酞菁蓝、酞菁绿、单芳基化物黄、二芳基化物黄、苯并咪唑酮黄、杂环黄、喹吖啶酮品红、喹吖啶酮紫、有机红、炭黑、灯黑、黑色氧化铁、黄色氧化铁、棕色氧化铁或红色氧化铁;其中基于所述组合物的重量,所述锌或锆化合物的浓度在0.5重量%至5重量%的范围内;其中基于所述组合物的重量,所述着色剂的浓度在8重量%至20重量%的范围内;并且所述组合物包含小于0.2%的二酰肼和多胺及其加合物。
7.根据权利要求5所述的组合物,其中基于所述组合物的重量,所述组合物还包含0.1重量%至3重量%的下式的聚乙烯蜡:
-(CH2CH2)n-
其中n为72至360。
8.根据权利要求6所述的组合物,所述组合物包含0PVC的无机增量剂和0重量%的二酰肼和多胺及其加合物。
9.根据权利要求1至8中任一项所述的组合物,所述组合物还包含一种或多种选自由以下项组成的组的附加材料:流变改性剂、消泡剂、表面活性剂、有机遮光颜料和分散剂。
10.根据权利要求1至8中任一项所述的组合物,所述组合物还包含流变改性剂、消泡剂和表面活性剂。
