Description

Collagen powder, composition comprising the same and method of preparation
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to collagen powder, compositions containing the same, and methods of preparing the collagen powder.
Background
Collagen is a natural protein, which is useful as a protein source for enhancing nutrition of foods and beverages, and has a physiological effect of alleviating symptoms of arthritis or promoting bone formation by taking in collagen, and many studies have been reported on the effect, so collagen is a food material of great attention.
Further, collagen has recently been studied to have physiological actions such as bone strengthening action for preventing and improving osteoporosis, metabolism promoting action of living tissue improving function reduction of living tissue accompanying aging, skin metabolism promoting action, skin activating action, and skin aging preventing action for preventing and improving wrinkles, and thus collagen has been widely used as a raw material for cosmetics, foods and beverages, or a biofunctional material for pharmaceuticals. In addition, it is known that collagen degradation products are degraded into amino acids, dipeptides or tripeptides during digestion and absorption, wherein the dipeptides or tripeptides have the effects as described above. In addition, it has been reported that dipeptides (for example, pro-Hyp (PO), hyp-Gly (OG) and the like) and tripeptides containing hydroxyproline (Hyp) derived from collagen activate proliferation of skin fibroblasts when they act on the cells, and promote production of collagen or hyaluronic acid.
However, collagen, which is a natural protein, is known to have a peculiar unpleasant malodor, and amino acids or peptides, which are protein degradation products, are known to have a bitter taste. Therefore, when collagen or collagen peptide is used as a raw material for a food or beverage or a color cosmetic composition, it is difficult to take it orally daily and continuously.
For this reason, collagen is often taken in powder form, and there are factors that are not easy to take such as fishy smell and bitter taste peculiar to fresh collagen, serious powder flying and cough, and tooth gaps when chewing. In order to overcome this phenomenon, many efforts have been made such as formation of liposomes for concealment and increase in bioavailability, but manufacturing facilities used for formation of liposomes and increase in production costs have a great problem in terms of efficiency as technical barriers.

Detailed Description
The following detailed description is made for the embodiments of the present invention so that those having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains can easily implement the present invention. However, the present invention may be embodied in various forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein.
In this specification, when a portion of a layer, film, region, sheet, or the like is referred to as being "on" other portions, it includes not only the case where "directly" on "other portions but also the case where there is still another portion in between. Conversely, when it is mentioned that a certain portion is "directly" on "another portion, it means that there is no other portion in the middle.
The following describes collagen powder according to an embodiment.
Collagen as a raw material has a property of agglomerating by dissolution in water, and the specific fishy smell and bitter taste of the raw material of collagen to be dissolved become strong. For this reason, the present inventors have carefully observed the prior art and reproduced experiments related thereto in order to conceal the above-described off-flavors and off-flavors, but most of the experiments did not effectively conceal the off-flavors and off-flavors, and even if concealed, had a problem that it was not easily dispersed and could not be ingested or was very inconvenient to swallow when dispersed in water or the like.
The present inventors have clearly recognized that, after the problems of the prior art described above, in order to develop a structure for effectively concealing the offensive odor and the strange taste of collagen protein and easily taking it, after numerous errors and failures, it was finally confirmed that by applying lecithin and oil to the surface of collagen particles, the offensive odor and the strange taste of collagen protein can be effectively concealed and at the same time the intraoral disintegrability can be improved, whereby the phenomenon of aggregation or flying of collagen powder at the time of swallowing can be suppressed, and the taking convenience can be greatly improved, and completed the present invention.
Specifically, the collagen powder according to an embodiment includes collagen particles and a coating layer coated on the collagen particles, the coating layer including lecithin and oil.
When collagen particles are coated with a substance containing lecithin and oil, moisture can be prevented from directly contacting collagen, thereby preventing agglomeration and reducing fishy smell and bitterness. However, when collagen particles are coated with substances other than lecithin and oil, the particles themselves are not easily dissolved and the feeling of foreign matter in the oral cavity becomes high (like a chewing feeling), the solubility to water becomes low, and eventually the in vivo absorbability is reduced. That is, the coating layer coated on the collagen particles needs to function to easily conceal the bad smell and the bad smell during swallowing of the collagen powder in the oral cavity and then to be able to be rapidly dissolved to a degree, however, when the coating layer is formed using the combination of lecithin and oil, the bad smell and the intra-oral disintegrability can be reduced. More specifically, the conventional powdery collagen having a water-soaked form has a characteristic that when dissolved in water, fishy smell and bitter taste are stronger and the dispersibility to water is lower due to the aggregation of the parts in contact with water, as compared with the case of the powdery form, but according to an embodiment, it is possible to conceal the bad smell and the strange smell which are problems in the prior art and to improve the intraoral disintegrability. In particular, when the type of the substance coating the surface of the collagen particles and the number of the substances are 2 or more, it is determined whether or not the coating is easy based on the components, and when the coated collagen powder is dispersed in water, the dispersion is completed within, for example, 10 seconds (preferably within 7 seconds, more preferably within 5 seconds) rapidly, and the collagen powder particles cannot be confirmed with naked eyes in the aqueous solution, so that it is considered that the coating is very easy to form on the surface of the collagen particles. That is, it was confirmed whether or not a coating layer was easily formed on the surface of the collagen particles by the dispersibility of the collagen powder in water.
For example, the lecithin and oil may be contained in an amount of 0.01 to 15 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the collagen particle. Only if the lecithin and oil contain the ranges, the coating can be easily formed while effectively hiding the peculiar smell and the strange smell. For example, the lecithin and oil may be contained in an amount of 0.05 to 13 parts by weight, for example, 0.08 to 11 parts by weight, relative to 100 parts by weight of the collagen particles.
For example, the lecithin may contain a greater amount than the oil. When the lecithin is contained in an amount equal to or less than the oil, it may not be effective to conceal off-flavors and off-flavors or to easily form a coating on the surface of collagen particles.
For example, the lecithin and oil may contain 2:1 to 1.1:1 parts by weight. The coating layer can be easily formed only by mixing the lecithin and the oil in the weight portions, and the peculiar smell and the strange smell of the collagen can be effectively hidden.
For example, the oil may include a vegetable edible oil, such as palm liquid oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, or a combination thereof, but is not necessarily limited thereto.
For example, the collagen powder may have a spherical, plate-like, or a combination thereof form.
For example, the collagen particles may have a porous surface structure. When the collagen particles have a porous surface structure, the hydrophilic property becomes strong and the dispersibility to water can be improved (coating layer is easily formed), and further, when the collagen powder is mixed with other antioxidant substances such as vitamin C, licorice extract, green tea extract, etc., the coating layer is not delaminated and the excellent dispersibility to an aqueous solution can be maintained.
For example, the collagen powder may have a bulk density (bulk density) of 0.2g/mL to 0.7g/mL. When the bulk density of the collagen powder is within the above range, the intraoral disintegrability can be greatly improved, a soft feeling of swallowing can be achieved, and the flying powder phenomenon can be easily controlled.
Another embodiment provides a composition comprising the collagen powder.
For example, the composition may further comprise vitamin C, licorice extract, green tea extract, or a combination thereof, optionally including other antioxidant substances in addition to the vitamin C, licorice extract, green tea extract.
For example, the composition may be a make-up composition or a food composition, but is not necessarily limited thereto.
For example, the composition can be easily used as a main raw material, a sub-raw material, a food additive, a functional food or a beverage for food.
The term "food" means a natural substance or processed product containing one or more nutrients, preferably means a state that can be directly eaten after a certain degree of processing steps, and means that the food, food additives, functional foods, and beverages are all contained in the usual meaning.
Examples of the food include various foods, beverages, chewing gum, tea, vitamin complex, functional foods, and the like. Further, including, but not limited to, special nutritional foods (e.g., formula milk, infant, baby, etc.), meat products, fish products, tofu, bean jelly, flour (e.g., stretched flour, noodles, etc.), bread, health aids, seasonings (e.g., soy sauce, chili sauce, mixed sauce, etc.), sauces, biscuits (e.g., snack foods), candies, chocolates, chewing gums, ice cream, dairy products (e.g., fermented milk, cheese, etc.), other processed foods, kimchi, salted foods (various kimchi, pickles), beverages (e.g., fruit beverages, vegetable beverages, soy milk, fermented beverages, etc.), natural seasonings (e.g., stretched noodle seasoning packets, etc.). The food, beverage or food additive may be prepared by conventional preparation methods.
The "functional food" refers to a group of foods which are processed by giving added value to foods by physical, biochemical, or bioengineering methods so that the functions of the foods are exerted for a specific purpose, or foods which are designed so that in vivo regulatory functions of food components related to regulation of biological defense rhythms, prevention of diseases and recovery of diseases are expressed sufficiently, and specifically may be health functional foods. The functional food may include a food auxiliary additive which is acceptable in terms of food, and may further include suitable carriers, excipients and diluents which are generally used in the preparation of functional foods.
The kind of the health auxiliary food is not limited thereto, and may be in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule or beverage.
In addition to the aforementioned components, the composition may contain, as conventional optional components for maintaining basic physical properties and qualities, components which are well known to those skilled in the art and used, for example, excipients, flavors, and the like.
Yet other embodiments provide a method of preparing collagen powder, the method comprising: a step of dispersing lecithin and oil in water to prepare a particle coating liquid; and (3) spraying the particle coating liquid on the collagen particles, and then drying.
The collagen powder according to an embodiment has a coating layer on the surface of the collagen particles, the coating layer including lecithin and oil, which is not formed by simply mixing the lecithin and oil with the collagen particles, but the coating layer liquid of the particles must be prepared by dispersing the lecithin and oil in water first, and then spraying it onto the surface of the collagen particles while drying, thereby preparing the collagen powder including the coating layer (including the lecithin and oil).
For example, the particle coating liquid may be sprayed onto the collagen particles by spraying, but is not necessarily limited thereto.
For example, the types, amounts, and weight ratios of the lecithin and oil, the shape and bulk density of the collagen powder, and the like may be the same as those described above.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to examples. However, the following examples are for illustrative purposes only and do not limit the scope of the present invention.
