Background
Safety regulations for brakes require that, for hoisting machines used in traction hoisting equipment, an emergency brake acting as a safety precaution is provided in addition to the service brake, so that emergency braking can be implemented once the service brake fails, thereby avoiding the occurrence of safety accidents. Such emergency brakes are also known as safety brakes. Typically, the emergency brake is operated in contact with the elevator guide rail, and in the event of a failure of the service brake of the hoisting machine, the safety brake must stop the elevator car within a predetermined displacement to avoid uncontrolled acceleration of the elevator car.
The existing safety brake is large in occupied space due to structural characteristics, and the situation that the existing safety brake is difficult to install in place often occurs. For a traction machine without a mounting position, the configuration of the safety brake becomes impossible, which is contrary to the safety regulations and presents a corresponding safety hazard.

In the figure: 1. the brake device comprises a pull rod, 2, a brake spring, 3, a brake shoe, 4, a plane rolling bearing, 5, a limit stop, 6, a yoke, 7, an armature, 8, a coil, 9, a base, 10, a friction pad, 11, a connecting pin, 12, a brake wheel, 13, a traction machine base, 14, a working brake, 15, a limit spring piece, 16, a screw, 17 and an overhanging convex edge.
Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1, a service brake 14 is normally mounted on a brake drum 12 of a hoisting machine, and the present invention is mounted as an additional brake on a hoisting machine base 13.
As shown in fig. 1, 2 and 3, the invention comprises a base 9, a brake shoe 3, an electromagnet, a pull rod 1, a brake spring 2, a plane rolling bearing 4, a limit stop 5 and the like. The base 9 is a plate-shaped body installed in the middle space of the traction machine base 13 to provide a wedge-shaped space for receiving the brake shoes and forming a brake. The electromagnet comprises a yoke 6, an armature 7 and a coil 8; the electromagnet is fixed on the base 9. The limit stop 5 is fixed on the base 9 at a position intersecting the vertical symmetry center line of the headblock 12. One end of the pull rod 1 is connected with an armature 7 in the electromagnet, and the other end is connected with the brake shoe 3. The brake spring 2 is sleeved on the pull rod 1, one end of the brake spring is propped against the brake shoe 3, and the other end is propped against the yoke 6 in the electromagnet. A clamping groove is formed between the limit stop 5 on the base 9 and the yoke 6 of the electromagnet, the brake shoe 3 slides in the clamping groove in a controlled manner, and is jacked into a wedge-shaped space formed between the brake wheel 12 and the base 9 by the brake spring 2 during braking, so that the brake wheel 12 is braked rapidly.
As shown in fig. 3, the brake shoe 3 is a wedge, the top surface thereof is an inclined arc surface which is matched with the wheel surface of the brake wheel 12, and a friction pad 10 is provided on the top surface of the brake shoe 3. One end of the brake shoe 3 is provided with a reducing groove pit, one end of the brake spring 2 is propped against the reducing surface of the reducing groove pit, and the end part of the pull rod 1 is inserted into the bottom of the reducing groove pit. The connecting pin 11 is inserted into the insertion end of the tie rod 1 and the brake shoe 3 to connect the tie rod 1 and the brake shoe 3 together.
As shown in fig. 2, a shallow slot is formed on the surface of the base 9 along the length direction, and the plane rolling bearing 4 is arranged in the shallow slot to reduce the sliding resistance of the brake shoe in the clamping slot to the greatest extent, so as to realize the purpose of emergency braking. A limit spring piece 15 is fixed on the edge of the side of the shallow groove through a screw 16; an overhanging convex edge 17 is formed at the lower part of two side surfaces of the brake shoe 3. The limit spring piece 15 is pressed against the overhanging lip 17 of the side of the brake shoe from both sides to form an elastic pressing mode, which does not affect the normal sliding of the brake shoe 3. Correspondingly, a second shallow groove which is slightly wider than the plane sliding bearing 4 can be formed on the bottom surface of the brake shoe 3 along the length direction and is clamped on the plane sliding bearing 4 from the upper side, so that the plane sliding bearing can be effectively prevented from being deviated or separated.
The invention has two sets of configurations and is symmetrically arranged below the braking wheel 12 by taking the limit stop 5 as a symmetry, so that an additional brake can implement emergency braking for the braking wheel rotating in the forward direction and the reverse direction, thereby meeting the use requirement.
The working process of the invention is as follows: when the electromagnet is electrified and attracted, the pull rod 1 pulls the brake shoe 3 to be separated from the brake wheel 12 (see a partial enlarged view at C of fig. 1), and simultaneously the brake spring 2 is pressed to be contracted, so that the brake is released. The brake on the left side below in fig. 1 is in an open state. After the power is off, the armature 7 of the electromagnet is released, the brake shoe 3 slides to the lower part of the brake wheel 12 under the pushing action of the brake spring 2, friction force is generated between the rotating brake wheel 12 and the friction pad 10 on the brake shoe 3, and under the action of the friction force, the brake shoe 3 is further embedded into the wedge-shaped space, so that the brake wheel 12 is quickly pushed and stopped, and therefore, the brake wheel 12 can be quickly braked in emergency under the condition that a working brake fails. The brake on the right side below in fig. 1 is in the upper brake state.
