In the embodiment of the invention, VOLTE is a high-speed wireless communication standard facing mobile phones and data terminals. It is based on an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia System (IMS) network, using profiles (defined by the Global System for Mobile (GSM) association in the Permanent Reference Document (PRD) ir.92) on LTE that are tailored to the Control plane and Media plane of voice services, which enables voice services (Control and Media plane) to be transmitted as data streams in LTE data-bearing networks without the need to maintain and rely on traditional circuit-switched voice networks. The voice and data capacity of VoLTE exceeds the third generation Mobile communication technology (3 rd-generation, 3G) Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) by more than three times, and exceeds the third generation Mobile communication technology (2 rd-generation, 2G) GSM by more than six times. Because the VoLTE packet header is smaller than the non-optimized Voice over IP (VoIP)/Long Term Evolution (LTE), it also uses bandwidth more efficiently.
The most direct feelings brought to the fourth generation mobile communication technology (4 rd-generation, 4G) users by the VoLTE technology are shorter connection waiting time and higher quality and more natural voice and video call effects. VoLTE is substantially different from 2G and 3G voice calls. VoLTE is an end-to-end voice solution that is architected under all IP conditions over 4G networks. Compared with 2G and 3G voice calls, voice quality of VoLTE can be improved by about 40%, because it adopts a high-resolution coding and decoding technology. VoLTE brings lower access delay (waiting time after dialing) for users, which is 50% lower than 3G, approximately 2 seconds, and 6-7 seconds in 2G era. In addition, under 2G and 3G, a drop sometimes occurs, but the drop rate of VoLTE is close to zero.
For operators, deploying VoLTE means opening the way to evolution towards mobile broadband voice. In the long run, this will bring two value to the operator, firstly, promote the wireless spectrum utilization ratio, reduce the network cost. For voice service, the frequency spectrum utilization efficiency of LTE is far better than that of the traditional system and reaches more than 4 times of that of GSM.
Another value is to improve the user experience, and the experience of VoLTE is significantly better than that of traditional Circuit Switched (CS) voice. Firstly, the introduction of high-definition voice and video coding and decoding obviously improves the communication quality; secondly, the call connection time of the VoLTE is greatly shortened, and tests show that the VoLTE is shortened by more than half compared with the CS call; third, seamless integration with converged Communication (RCS) can bring Rich services.
The development rhythm of the VoLTE service comprises the following stages:
the first stage is as follows: the LTE hotspot is covered, and pre-VoLTE application LTE in the initial stage mainly covers the hotspot and is mainly applied to mobile broadband data such as data cards and tablet computers, but some early LTE voice applications may also occur. The voice service based on the soft terminal, namely, the modes of 'LTE data card + soft terminal + computer', can meet the voice requirements of some specific scenes, and prepares for future VoLTE in a mobile phone deployment mode, and accumulates operation experience; second, the LTE client terminal Equipment (CPE) + fixed phone "mode is used in some countries in europe, such as germany, to provide broadband access and voice service to users in remote areas; third, the LTE mobile phone supports the FallBack Circuit Switched FallBack (CSFB) domain and the Voice synchronization support (Simultaneous Voice and LTE, SVLTE), and some operators have released this transitional application.
And a second stage: in the LTE area continuous coverage area, operators expand the LTE coverage level in the period of VoLTE development, and the conditions for operating voice services are achieved, particularly in cities and densely populated areas; meanwhile, the large number of LTE smart phones appears, and the development of VoLTE is promoted. The operator will at this stage be using VoLTE services over IMS. But before this, the operator needs to reserve a longer preparation time. Because VoLTE involves more new technologies on the one hand, the necessary tests and trials are required; on the other hand, deployment and integration of IMS require a certain period, and some devices in the existing network, such as a Mobile Switching Center (MSC), a Home Location Register (HLR), and an Internet Technology (IT) system, may need to be modified or upgraded accordingly. We believe it is necessary for operators to start preparing VoLTE one year or even longer in advance. In addition, LTE coverage at this stage is also limited, and operators need to provide seamless voice services by using the extent and depth of the traditional CS coverage, i.e. the interoperation of LTE and CS, where there are two main technical points: 1. the Service providing mode after the LTE user roams to the CS domain has two alternatives, one is to completely process the voice Service by the MSC, and the other is to provide the voice Service by accessing the IMS domain through the MSC, which is the IMS Centralized Service (ICS) architecture defined by 3GPP, and this requires to upgrade the current network MSC into an EMSC (enhanced MSC); 2. for LTE to CS handover during a Call, 3GPP defines a dual-mode Single-standby wireless Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) technology.
And a third stage: LTE full coverage, voLTE becomes the mainstream application at this stage, LTE coverage reaches a quite perfect level, or LTE and other wireless broadband technologies such as HSPA make up a seamless network, so that mobile broadband voice applications become mainstream, and the traditional CS will be gradually replaced, which is, of course, a quite long process.
The following problems exist in the VoLTE test at present: the measurement-based redirection in an idle state realizes a VoLTE video call service in an Evolved Packet System (EPS) FallBack (FallBack), when a voice call is converted into a video call, the other party cannot receive a request prompt, and the VoLTE video call service is automatically hung up after 30 seconds, so that the use of the voice call and the video call by a user is greatly influenced, the user experience is seriously influenced, and the development of the VoLTE service is seriously hindered.
For better understanding of the present invention, the following describes a call handover method according to embodiments of the present invention in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it should be noted that these embodiments are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present invention provides a call handover method, which may be applied to a base station device to which a called terminal belongs. Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a call handover method according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, a call handover method 100 in the embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps.
Step S110, receiving a bearer modification request sent by a core network device; the bearer modification request is used for requesting to increase the bearer of the video stream in the voice session process of the calling terminal and the called terminal.
Step S120, all bearers sent by the core network device to the base station device are acquired.
Step S130, all obtained bearers are sorted according to the bearer creation time, so as to obtain a bearer sequence.
Step S140, sequentially processing the bearer sequence, and sending a video call request to the called terminal after the bearer included in the bearer modification request is processed, so as to switch the voice call between the calling terminal and the called terminal to a video call.
According to the call switching method provided by the embodiment of the invention, after receiving the bearing modification requirement for converting the voice call into the video call, the base station equipment sequences all the obtained bearings according to the sequence of the bearing creation time and then sequentially processes the bearings, so that the bearing carrying sequence is consistent with the bearing creation sequence, the voice call of the calling terminal and the called terminal is switched into the video call and can be normally used under the condition that the regulation of the base station side and the core network side is consistent, and the application and the development of the VoLTE service are promoted.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic diagram of real-time monitoring of message interaction between a core network, a base station side and a terminal device according to an exemplary embodiment; fig. 3 shows a schematic diagram of real-time monitoring of message interaction between a core network, a base station side and a terminal device according to another exemplary embodiment.
In fig. 2 and 3, the header information of the real-time monitoring schematic diagram of the message interaction includes: time (Time), evolved node b (eNodeB), cell (cell), group Identity (Gid), mobility Management Entity (MME) S1 Application Protocol (S1 Application Protocol, AP) number, radio Network Temporary Identity (RNTI), data Identity (DataID), message name (MsgName), direction (Direction).
The S1 interface is a communication interface between an LTE eNodeB and an EPC (packet core Network), and the RNTI is used as an identifier of the UE in signal information between the UE and a Universal mobile telecommunications system Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN).
In the Evolved Radio Access Bearer (Erab ) creation Request (Setup Request) shown in fig. 2, the Erab is a Bearer in the User plane, and is used for transmitting voice, data, and multimedia services between a UE (User Equipment) and a CN (Core Network). E-RAB establishment is initiated by CN, when E-RAB establishment is successful, a basic service is established, UE enters into service using process.
E-UTRAN resources may be established, modified and released for user plane transmissions when the UE is in a connected state, i.e. after the UE context is established in the eNB. In LTE, the allocation, modification and release of resources are controlled by the network, and the Quality of Service (QoS) corresponding to the bearer is also controlled by the network. The establishment and modification of E-UTRAN resources is therefore initiated by the MME, while the MME provides the eNB with the corresponding QoS information. Although the eNB may initiate a release request of E-UTRAN resources, the release procedure is still controlled by the MME; meanwhile, the MME can also initiate the release of E-UTRAN resources.
As can be seen from fig. 2, in the bearer Setup Request (Erab Setup Request), erab establishes QCI1 (i.e., QCI = 1) before QCI2 (i.e., QCI = 2) after. QCI1 is that VOLTE voice channel just establishes when conversing, and QCI2 is VOLTE video conversation passageway, establishes when the video conversation.
In the bearer modification Request (Erab modification Request) shown in fig. 3, erab modification QCI2 precedes and QCI1 succeeds; at the moment, the Erab sequence is inconsistent with the Erab establishing sequence; because the base station side and the core network do not understand the protocol consistently, the base station side considers that when the bearer modification command sent by the core network contains a plurality of bearers, the carrying sequence of the bearers should be consistent with the bearer creation sequence. If the inconsistency is not consistent, the base station side cannot process normally. When the bearer modification request carries a plurality of evolved radio access bearers and the sequence of the Erab is inconsistent with the sequence of establishing the Erab, after the bearer modification (Erab modification) is completed, an Erab establishment failure caused by unavailable transmission resources occurs when the Erab is deleted and established again subsequently, and the air interface does not have QCI2 dedicated bearer for issuing.
According to the call switching method provided by the embodiment of the invention, after receiving the bearer modification requirement of voice call to video call, the base station equipment sequences all acquired bearers according to the sequence of bearer creation time and then sequentially processes the bearers, so that the carrying sequence of the bearers is consistent with the bearer creation sequence, and the protocols of the base station side and the core network side are adjusted to be consistent in a mobile communication network (for example, under a 4G network), so that the user terminal side can be normally used when the VoLTE video call service is switched from voice call to video call, and the application and development of the VoLTE service are promoted.
In some embodiments, step S130 may specifically include: detecting the creation time of each bearer in all bearers; acquiring the load bearing within a preset time threshold range from all the load bearings; and sequencing the bearers within the preset time threshold value range according to the creation time of each bearer to obtain a bearer sequence.
In this embodiment, a bearer time ordering module may be added at the base station side, and when the base station receives the bearer, the bearer sent to the base station by the core network is sent to the bearer time ordering module instead of being processed directly according to the existing call connection procedure, and the module is configured to detect the creation time of the bearer, and then order the bearers within a certain time threshold range according to the order of the bearer creation time, and send the bearers to the base station for processing.
According to the call switching method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the protocols of the base station side and the core network side under the 4G network are adjusted to be consistent, after the base station equipment receives the bearing modification requirement of converting the voice call into the video call, all the obtained bearings are sequenced according to the sequence of bearing creation time and then are sequentially processed, so that the protocols of the base station side and the core network side are adjusted to be consistent in a mobile communication network (for example, under the 4G network), the VoLTE video call service can be normally used by the user terminal side when the voice call is converted into the video call, and the application and development of the Unicom VoLTE service are promoted.
In a second aspect, an embodiment of the present invention provides a call handover method; the method may be applied to a calling terminal. Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a call handover method according to another embodiment of the present invention. In some embodiments, the call switching method may be applied to a calling terminal, and may include the following steps.
S410, in the process of voice conversation with the called terminal, a re-request message is sent to core network equipment according to the video conversation requirement, so that a bearing modification request is sent to base station equipment to which the called terminal belongs through the core network equipment according to the video conversation requirement, and the bearing modification request is used for requesting to increase the bearing of a video stream in the process of voice conversation.
And S420, responding to the video answering consent message from the called terminal, and carrying out video conversation with the called terminal.
The video answering approval message is a message sent to the calling terminal by the called terminal after responding to a video calling request sent by the base station equipment and selecting to approve video answering; and the video call request is a video call request which is sent to the called terminal after the base station equipment responds to the bearer modification request, sequentially processes all obtained bearers sent to the base station equipment by the core network equipment according to the bearer creation time and processes the bearers contained in the bearer modification request.
In this embodiment, in the process of a voice session between a calling terminal and a called terminal, if the voice session needs to be converted into a video session, a re-request message needs to be sent to the core network device to request that a bearer of a video stream is increased in the process of the voice session, so that the core network sends a bearer modification request to the base station device to which the called terminal belongs according to the video session requirement, so that the base station device responds to the bearer modification request, sequentially processes all bearers sent by the core network device according to the bearer creation time, and sends a video answering grant message to the calling terminal when the called terminal grants a video answer after the bearers contained in the bearer modification request are processed, so that the user terminal side can be normally used when a VoLTE video call service is converted from a voice call to a video call.
In some embodiments, prior to S410, the method further comprises the following steps.
S11, sending a voice call request to the called terminal, wherein the voice call request carries a contact accepting header field containing a media type label, and the media type label is used for representing that the calling terminal has voice service capability.
In this step, when the calling terminal initiates a VoLTE voice caller, the Accept-Contact header field must be carried in the request (Invite) message; illustratively, a contact header field containing + g.3gpp.icsi-ref = "urn: urn-7: 3gpp-service.im.icsi.mmtel" must be carried; the header field information contains a media type label, which marks the software application which can be supported by the terminal and simultaneously represents the capability of the terminal; each application on the terminal device may be registered with a set of one or more services. These services are identified by IMS Communication Service Identifiers (ICSIs) or IMS application registry identifiers.
In some embodiments, the Invite request Accept-Contact header field should also contain a video tag when the terminal initiates a video call.
S12, receiving a session response message sent by the called terminal, wherein the session response message comprises a media type label and a video label, and the media type label and the video label are used for representing that the called terminal has voice service capability and video service capability.
In this step, the session response message may be carried in a 200OK message sent by the called terminal, or the session response may be carried in an 18x message sent by the called terminal. Wherein, the 18x message refers to a 180 message or a 183 message, the 180 message is a Ringing message, and the 183 message is a Session Progress (Session Progress), i.e., a Session in-Progress message.
In some embodiments, when the terminal establishes a VoLTE audio call, the Invite request, 18X and 200OK messages must carry a contact header field and identify that the terminal supports voice service capability by carrying + g.3gpp.icsi-ref = "urn: urn-7.
In some embodiments, before step S11, the call switching method further includes the following steps.
S22, an initial request is sent to the called terminal, and the initial request does not carry a session protocol proposal message.
S23, receiving an initial request response message carrying a session protocol proposal message sent by the called terminal, wherein the session protocol proposal message carries audio information, and the audio information comprises at least one media line.
And S24, sending a session protocol response message to the called terminal, wherein the session protocol response message carries the coding mode set for each media line.
Exemplarily, whether a contact header field in the INVITE request contains a video tag or an SDP carried video media line is judged, and if the contact header field in the INVITE request contains a video tag or an SDP carried video media line, a video media update request is initiated; and if the contact header field in the INVITE request does not contain a video tag or an SDP carries a video media line, initiating an audio media updating request.
In this embodiment, when the called terminal does not receive an initial Invite request of a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer, the SDP offer of a response message to the request should carry audio information; the terminal carries a selected codec for each media line in the SDP answer that replies to the SDP offer.
In some embodiments, the call switching method further comprises the following steps.
If the call based on the voice call request is not established and meets the preset conditions, a cancellation request is sent to the called terminal within the preset time range, and the cancellation request is used for canceling the voice call request; wherein the predetermined time range is: after receiving a temporary response to the voice call request of the called terminal, and within a time range before receiving a final response message.
Illustratively, the server's provisional response message to the INVITE includes a 180ring or 183 message, and the final response message includes a 200ok message.
In this embodiment, the calling terminal supports the release of a call that has not been completed by sending a Cancel message that must be sent after receiving the temporary response to the Invite message and before receiving the final response.
In some embodiments, after the step of sending the voice call request to the called terminal in step S11, the call switching method further includes: and sending a cancellation request to the called terminal after the first preset time under the condition that the ringing message sent by the called terminal is received and the called terminal does not answer, wherein the cancellation request is used for canceling the voice call request.
For example, after receiving 180ringing, if the called party does not answer, the calling terminal may initiate a Cancel request after 60s, for example, after 120 s; in some embodiments, it may be selected to send the cancellation request to the called terminal after the first predetermined time and before the second predetermined time, for example, after 120s and before 300s, to ensure timeliness of the cancellation request.
In some embodiments, after the terminal receives the Invite request as the called, the user selects audio to answer, and the terminal should send a 200OK message for Invite to the calling, so as to implement audio communication between the calling terminal and the called terminal.
In some embodiments, when the terminal is in voice service, it sends a Re-INVITE request message with updated session description to modify the ongoing session, requesting an addition of video stream during the session.
