Description

Sanitary insert, use of a sealing element and use of a retaining section
Technical Field
The invention relates to a sanitary insert for insertion into a water outlet of a faucet, wherein the sanitary insert has at least one at least partially elastic sealing element which, in the installed position of the sanitary insert in the water outlet of the faucet, seals off an area outside the flow path. The sanitary insert can be designed, for example, as a jet regulator.
Background
Sanitary inserts of this type are already known. The water outlet of a faucet is usually equipped with the same type of insert in order to set the desired characteristics to the outgoing water jet. The sanitary insert part is a wear part which must be replaced regularly, since said wear part is limited in its functionality after a period of time, for example due to dirt. Replacement inserts are usually sold loosely in the package. In this case, the release of the sealing element from the housing of the insert always occurs again and again. This often leads to the problem that the user unintentionally re-inserts the insert into the outlet of the faucet without losing the separated sealing element. In some cases, the sealing element may also be arranged in a particular orientation, so that the user may therefore also install the sealing element by mistake. In both cases, functional failures and in particular leakage through the outflowing water can eventually occur.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object to provide a sanitary insert part with improved service properties.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a sanitary insert having the features according to claim 1.
In particular, in order to solve this problem, according to the invention a sanitary insert of the type mentioned at the beginning is proposed, which is characterized in that: the at least one sealing element has an elastic press section and a holding section which is configured to be spaced apart from the press section and is used for fastening the at least one sealing element on the housing of the sanitary insert. This has the advantage that the sealing element does not undesirably loosen from the housing of the insert during transport of the sanitary insert. Thereby further preventing: a user who wants to install the sanitary insert in the water outlet of the faucet unintentionally forgets and/or misorients the sealing element to insert it. Thus, the service characteristics of the sanitary insert are improved. The fastening can be, for example, form-locking, in particular with play, for example in order to avoid overdeterminations.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described below, which can be combined individually or in combination with the features of other embodiments, optionally together with the features according to claim 1.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the at least one sealing element can have at least one upper sealing surface and at least one lower sealing surface. Thus, at least one axial seal between the tap outlet and the sanitary insert can be formed by means of the at least one sealing element, so that water can be better prevented from flowing out of the flow path of the sanitary insert.
In order to be able to fix the sanitary insert better on the water outlet of the faucet, it can be provided according to a further advantageous embodiment that the sanitary insert has a fastening means which can be connected to a mating fastening means of the water outlet of the faucet in the installed position, so that the sanitary insert can be fixed or already fixed in the water outlet of the faucet. Preferably, the fastening means can be configured as a thread which can be screwed into a matching mating thread. Furthermore, it is preferred that at least one contact point between the fastening means and the mating fastening means can be sealed by means of the at least one sealing element. It is thus better ensured that: in the installed position, the water flowing through the sanitary insert flows only through the flow path, rather than laterally past it, which on the one hand has a negative effect on the outlet jet image of the exiting water jet and on the other hand can also lead to damage to the outlet faucet.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, it can be provided that the upper sealing surface is exposed to the outside, in particular so that in the installed position it can directly contact a stop on the water outlet of the faucet. Alternatively or additionally to this, the at least one sealing element can be arranged on the inflow side of the sanitary insert, in order to be able to achieve a better sealing of the flow path at the beginning of the flow path.
In order to be able to achieve a particularly good fastening of the sealing element to the housing, it can be provided according to an advantageous further development that the at least one retaining section projects radially inward from the pressing section and/or in the flow direction, in particular is integrally formed on the pressing section. This has the advantage that the pressing section required for sealing is spatially separated from the holding section.
In order to be able to achieve a particularly good fastening of the sealing element to the housing, it can be provided according to an advantageous embodiment that the sanitary insert part has a pressing element on the inflow side, which is fastened, in particular releasably fastened, to the housing by means of at least one fastening element. Preferably, the fastening element is a pin, preferably a pin inserted into a corresponding indentation on the pressing element. The holding section can be arranged, in particular positively arranged, and/or clamped between the pressing element and the housing. The pressing element can preferably be designed as a screen which is arranged upstream of the flow path or within the flow path on the inflow side, for example, in order to prevent dirt particles from penetrating.
According to an advantageous further development, it can be provided that the at least one fastening element, preferably a pin, is arranged at least partially within the flow path through the sanitary insert.
According to an advantageous further development, it can be provided that the at least one fastening element, preferably a pin, is configured or arranged on the disassembly apparatus, in particular on the inflow side. Thus, positions may be provided for other functional units within the flow path.
In order to be able to achieve a particularly good fastening of the sealing element to the housing, it can be provided according to an advantageous embodiment that the at least one retaining section is designed to be circumferential and/or undercut. For example, a clampable and/or loadable edge can be formed in order to be able to better hold the sealing element on the housing, in particular in order to fix the sealing element on the housing without clamping the pinch section.
In order to be able to realize a particularly cost-effective design of the sealing element, it can be provided according to an advantageous further development that the at least one pressing section and the at least one holding section are made of the same material. Preferably, the sealing element can be designed as a sealing ring.
The invention also relates to the use of a sealing element having at least one press section and at least one holding section which is designed to be spaced apart from the press section, wherein the at least one press section, preferably only the at least one press section, serves to seal a transition from a water outlet of a faucet to a sanitary insert, in particular a sanitary insert as described and/or claimed herein, wherein the sealing element is fastened to a housing of the sanitary insert by the at least one holding section, preferably only by the at least one holding section.
According to an advantageous further development, it can be provided that the axial seal between the outlet opening of the faucet and the sanitary insert is formed by a sealing element. Preferably, the axial seal can be designed in such a way that the upper sealing surface of the sealing element contacts, in particular seals around, the faucet spout and/or the lower sealing surface contacts, in particular seals around, the housing of the sanitary insert.
Finally, the invention relates to the use of a retaining section which is integrally formed on a press section of a sealing element of a sanitary insert for fixing the sealing element, preferably positively, to a housing of the sanitary insert during transport into the position of use of the sanitary insert.
Drawings
The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to a number of examples, to which, however, the invention is not restricted. Further embodiments are derived from the combination of features of one or more of the claims with each other and/or with single or multiple features of an embodiment.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 to 8 show several embodiments of partially different designs of the sanitary insert, which are designated in each case as a whole by 1. In this case, the sanitary inserts are each designed as jet regulators.
The illustrated sanitary inserts 1 are each provided for fitting into a water outlet 2 of a water faucet. In order to be able to seal the transition 22 between the housing 7 of the sanitary insert 1 and the stop 13 of the water outlet 2 of the faucet in the installed position, the sanitary insert 1 has at least one sealing element 3 which is designed to be at least partially elastic. As shown in fig. 1 to 8, the at least one sealing element 3 is preferably configured as at least one sealing ring. By the sealing element 3 in the mounted position: a leakage is formed by water from the provided flow path 4 through the sanitary insert 1 into a region outside said flow path.
The sealing element 3 has at least one elastic press section 5 and at least one holding section 6 which is designed to be spaced apart from the press section and/or is integrally formed on the press section.
In the installed position of the sanitary insert 1, the at least one press section 5 serves to seal the aforementioned transition 22 between the housing 7 of the sanitary insert 1 and the stop 13 of the faucet spout 2 by being pressed and/or squeezed between the housing and the stop, for example, like a conventional sealing ring.
The at least one retaining section 6 is not intended primarily for sealing, but rather ensures that: the sealing element 3 is not undesirably released from the housing 7 of the sanitary insert 1, for example during transport of the sanitary insert, before installation of the sanitary insert 1 and/or when the sanitary insert 1 is transported loose to its installation site, in particular in a package. The at least one holding section 6 is thus fastened to the housing 7.
The at least one sealing element 3 is arranged on the inflow side 14 of the sanitary insert and/or has at least one upper sealing surface 8 and at least one lower sealing surface 9, so that an axial seal can thereby be established between the faucet spout 2 and the housing 7 of the sanitary insert in the installed position.
In order to be able to fix the sanitary insert 1 in the outlet 2 of the faucet, the sanitary insert has at least one fastening means 10. The fastening means 10 are preferably formed on the outside of the housing 7. In the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 8, the at least one fastening means 10 is configured as a thread. In order to establish a fastening on the water outlet 2 of the faucet, the fastening means 10 can be operatively connected to a mating fastening means 11 adapted to the fastening means, i.e., for example, screwed in, in particular, up to the stop 13. During the fixing process, the pressing section 5 is pressed against the stop 13 of the water outlet 2 and is finally pressed, so that the two sealing surfaces 8, 9 abut sealingly and/or circumferentially.
The upper sealing surface 8 of the sealing element 3 can thus be exposed to the outside, in particular completely exposed, before the sanitary insert part 1 is inserted into the outlet 2 of the faucet. In the mounted position of the sanitary insert 1, the upper sealing surface 8 contacts the stop 13.
In the embodiment of the sealing element 3 shown in fig. 1 to 8 and in detail in fig. 9, the at least one retaining section 6 projects radially inward and downward in the flow direction 24. Thus, the outer edge of the sealing element 3 has no retaining section and may preferably only have a sealing function as part of the pressing section 5.
On the inflow side 14 of the sanitary insert part 1, a pressing element 15 is arranged, which fastens, in particular clamps and/or latches, the at least one sealing element 3 to the housing 7 via the retaining section 6. The pressing element 15 can be designed, for example, as shown in fig. 1 to 8, as a pre-screen and thus has a dual function.
The pressing element 15 has at least one recess 19, into which the at least one fastening element 17 engages in the installed position, in particular reversibly. A simple and releasable fastening of the sealing element 3 can thus be achieved, which can be released when required, for example in order to replace the sealing element 3. Preferably, the at least one fastening element 17 can be configured as a pin 18. The pin 18 can be releasably introduced into the recess 19 in the installed position and thus fix the pressing element 15 and the sealing element 3 to the housing 7. In this case, the holding section 6 can be fastened, in particular clamped, in a form-fitting manner between the housing 7 and the pressing element 15, as can be seen in the detail view of fig. 9.
In the design of the sanitary insert 1 according to fig. 1 to 6, the pin 18 is designed such that the majority of the pin is arranged within the flow path 4.
In the embodiment according to fig. 7 and 8, the bolt 18 is formed on a decomposition device 20, which is arranged in the housing 7 on the inflow side. Thus, a position may be provided for at least one further functional unit within the flow path 4.
However, the fastening of the pressure element 15 is carried out identically in both embodiments.
According to the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 8, the retaining section 6 of the sealing element 3 is in each case designed as a circumferential and/or as an undercut 21.
The at least one pressing section 5 and the at least one holding section 6 can be made of the same material, i.e. both can be configured to be at least partially elastic.
The invention therefore relates in particular to a sanitary insert 1 for fastening in a water outlet 2 of a faucet, wherein the sanitary insert 1 has at least one at least partially elastic sealing element 3 which, in the installed position of the sanitary insert 1 in the water outlet 2 of the faucet, seals off an area outside the flow path 4, wherein the at least one sealing element 3 has an elastic pressing section 5 for sealing and the sealing element 3 has a retaining section 6 which is integrally formed on the pressing section 5 and is used for fastening the at least one sealing element 3 to a housing 7 of the sanitary insert 1.
