背景技术

发明内容

现在提供一些实施例的示例定义。
地址解析协议(ARP)是用于发现与给定的因特网层地址相关联的链路层地址的通信协议，这是因特网协议套件中的重要功能。
CE路由器(客户边缘路由器)可以是位于客户场所(premises)在客户的LAN与提供商的核心网络之间提供以太网接口的路由器。CE路由器可以是MPLS架构中的部件。

虚拟专用网络(VPN)可以在诸如因特网之类的公共网络上扩展专用网络。它可以使用户能够跨共享的或公共的网络发送和接收数据，就像他们的计算设备被直接连接到专用网络一样，因此可以从专用网络的功能、安全性和管理策略中受益。

示例系统和处理
注意的是，以下系统和方法与现有的HA部署向后兼容，因此不需要更改现有的用户接口。

可以实现基于当前WAN连接性的动态HA模式。注意的是，HA部署不再需要WAN交换机，因为链路可以连接到各个边缘设备。这可以通过利用已在边缘设备之间同步的链路状态，以及将备用边缘用作虚拟交换机来到达仅附接到备用边缘的链路来实现。

Claims (17)

通过高可用性连接链路来连接第一边缘设备和第二边缘设备，所述高可用性连接链路允许第一边缘设备和第二边缘设备交换关于它们的相关联的WAN链路的状态数据。
