Description

Ethernet power supply system monitoring management method, equipment and medium
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of power over ethernet technologies, and in particular, to a method, a device, and a medium for monitoring and managing a power over ethernet system.
Background
Power Over Ethernet (abbreviated as POE), also called POE Power Over, refers to a technology for a device to transmit data and Power simultaneously using a standard Ethernet twisted pair. The complete Power over ethernet system comprises two parts, namely Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and Power receiving Equipment (PD).
In the prior art, a power supply end device is not only a device for supplying power to a power receiving end device of an ethernet power supply system, but also a manager of a power supply process of the whole ethernet power supply system. And the power receiving end device is a load receiving power supply, namely a client device of the power over ethernet system.
The monitoring and management method of the existing Ethernet power supply system mainly adopts a CPU + MCU (POE Controller) + POE chip (POE Manager), wherein the CPU communicates with the MCU (POE Controller) through an I2C/UART interface, the MCU performs parameter configuration on the POE chip (POE Manager) through an I2C/SPI, the parameter configuration can include the priority of a power supply port of power supply end equipment, the maximum power supply power, whether to enable the external output power and the like. After the power supply system is initialized, the POE chip automatically manages power supply hardware according to the configured parameters, and the participation degree of a CPU is limited in the management process.
However, due to the diversity of the power receiving end devices in the power over ethernet system, the monitoring management method has some drawbacks. For example, the maximum power setting of the port is just in a critical state, the power supply priority of the port is not reasonable to the maximum power setting of the system, or a non-standard power receiving device is accessed, which may cause power supply oscillation, cause instability of the whole power supply system, and affect the service life of the power receiving device. For the condition of power supply oscillation, the current Ethernet power supply system cannot timely position and process the problem.
Accordingly, there is a need to develop a new method, apparatus and medium for monitoring and managing a power over ethernet system, which overcome and/or ameliorate one or more of the above disadvantages of the prior art, or at least provide an effective alternative to solve the above problems.

In order to facilitate understanding of the monitoring and management method for the power over ethernet system according to the embodiment of the present invention, the following further describes the monitoring and management method for the power over ethernet system:
the method comprises the steps of regularly acquiring and storing power supply information of each power supply port by using a local monitoring management module, wherein the local monitoring management module can adopt a CPU (central processing unit), and the CPU regularly traverses the power supply ports of each power supply terminal device through a UART (universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter) or I2C (inter-integrated circuit) interface to acquire the power supply information of each power supply port.
The power supply information may include, for example: the power supply state of the port, the power supply power of the port, the power supply priority of the port, the level of the accessed power receiving end equipment, whether the accessed power receiving end equipment belongs to standard equipment or not and the like.
Meanwhile, the CPU is adopted to monitor the power supply state information of the current power supply end equipment, such as the power supply state information of a power supply module in a local monitoring management module. The power status information may include, for example, power supply power, power supply presence information, and the like. The maximum supply power of the power over ethernet system is then controlled in accordance with the mains supply power.
When the local monitoring management module detects that one power supply port is abnormal, for example, when detecting that one power supply port is frequently powered on/off, the abnormal power supply information of the power supply port is obtained. The abnormal power supply information may include, for example: the number of the abnormal power supply port, the current power supply power of the abnormal power supply port, the voltage of the abnormal power supply port, the current of the abnormal power supply port, the power supply priority of each power supply port, the maximum power supply power of a power supply system, the power supply power, the on-site state of a power supply, the level of the accessed power receiving end equipment, whether the accessed power receiving end equipment belongs to standard equipment or not and the like.
And the local monitoring management module reports the acquired abnormal power supply information to the remote monitoring management module and forcibly powers off the power supply port.
In a preferred embodiment, the local monitoring management module not only reports the acquired abnormal power supply information to the remote monitoring management module, but also simultaneously sends the stored information of the first two times of normal power supply of the power supply port to the remote monitoring management module.
When the remote monitoring management module receives the abnormal power supply information sent by the local monitoring management module, an alarm signal is sent out through an alarm module, and analysis is carried out in an analysis module according to the reported abnormal power supply information or the abnormal power supply information and the normal power supply information to obtain an analysis result. And the execution module sends a corresponding action instruction to the local monitoring management module according to the analysis result, and finally enables the power supply function of the abnormal power supply port.
After the local monitoring management module performs corresponding actions on the power supply port according to the action instructions, if the abnormal power supply information of the power supply port is obtained again and the abnormal power supply information obtained twice is consistent, the abnormal power supply information is sent to the abnormal power supply problem database for storage, warning information is sent to the administrator terminal equipment, and an administrator is informed of troubleshooting the abnormal power supply problem. And acquiring a correction instruction sent out according to the investigation result, and correcting the corresponding action according to the correction instruction.
The abnormal condition and corresponding action of the power supply port may be, for example:
(1) If the power supply port is powered on/off frequently, the power supply port feeds back to the alarm module and is powered off forcibly.
(2) If the power supply state frequently jumps, on one hand, the power supply state is fed back to an alarm module to inform an administrator of 'power supply failure'; on the other hand, in the normal power supply range, the low priority power supply port is turned off.
(3) If the residual power of the power supply (total power of the power supply-total power of all ports) is in a critical value, on one hand, the residual power is fed back to an alarm module to inform an administrator of 'insufficient power'; on the other hand, the minimum reserved power is set, and may be set to 30W, for example.
(4) If the residual power of the power supply is larger than the maximum power corresponding to the CLASS classification and the maximum power supply power of the port is set to be too small, on one hand, the residual power is fed back to the alarm module to inform an administrator of abnormal configuration; on the other hand, a larger port power supply is provided, or not limited.
