Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the improvement of the correction of the misconvergence of a color picture tube through a compensating gauge added on a deflecting coil provided with a separator. The separator has a pair of edges on a platform of the separator for the fixation of the compensating gauges, and the edge has a multilayered structure. The compensating gauge is restrained in a lower layer of the multilayered structure, while the other compensating gauge is restrained on an upper layer of the multilayered structure. Because the two compensating gauges are fixed through an elastic force generated from the compensating gauges or the multilayered structure or both, the compensating gauge does not fall from the multilayered structure. Therefore, each compensating gauge can be easily installed on the required position for the correction of the misconvergence of the color picture tube.
