Test example 1 color difference and mildew ratio
(1) The stem pieces prepared in examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3 were randomly taken 30 samples each, and the color difference ΔE was detected by a color difference meter (obtained by comparing with the standard white card of the instrument itself), and the standard deviation of the color difference ΔE was calculated for all the samples of each stem piece.
(2) 100 samples of the stem pieces prepared in examples 1-3 and comparative examples 1-3 were each taken, left for 6 months at room temperature (15 ℃ -25 ℃) and relative humidity of < 75%, and visually inspected for mildew, and if mildew spots appear on the samples, the mildew samples are regarded as mildew samples, and then the proportion of the weight of the mildew samples to the total weight of the samples is calculated as mildew ratio.
The results are shown in Table 1.
TABLE 1 color difference standard deviation and mildew ratio results
Stem slice Standard deviation of color difference ΔE Mildew rate
Example 1 0.52 0%
Example 2 0.45 0%
Example 3 0.46 0%
Comparative example 1 1.0 86.5%
Comparative example 2 0.96 93.6%
Comparative example 3 0.60 0.2%
As is clear from Table 1, compared with the methods of comparative examples 1 to 3, the standard deviation of the color difference DeltaE of the stem pieces prepared by the method of the invention is smaller, and the mildew rate is smaller, which indicates that the stem pieces prepared by the method of the invention have better uniformity of color and are less prone to mildew. Comparative examples 1-2 the washing stems were used instead of the drum for conditioning and warming, resulting in poor color uniformity of the stem pieces produced, which were very prone to mildew. Comparative example 3 omits the second sieving, resulting in slightly poorer color uniformity and slightly increased mildew rate of the prepared stem pieces.
Test example 2 Standard deviation of moisture content and baking penetration
30 samples of the cut stems prepared in examples 1-3 and comparative examples 1-3 were randomly extracted, the water content of each sample was measured according to YCT 31-1996 'preparation of tobacco and tobacco product samples and moisture measurement oven method', and the standard deviation of the water content of each cut stem was calculated;
and according to the result of the water content of the sample, judging that the cut stem is semi-baked when the water content is more than 13.0%, otherwise judging that the cut stem is baked, and calculating the ratio of the baked samples in all the samples of each cut stem, namely the baked rate.
The results are shown in Table 2.
TABLE 2 Standard deviation of moisture content and results of baking penetration
Figure BDA0003678987030000101
As is clear from Table 2, the standard deviation of the moisture content of the stem pieces produced by the method of the present invention was smaller and the baking penetration rate was higher, compared with the stem pieces produced by the methods of comparative examples 1 to 3, indicating that the stem pieces produced by the method of the present invention had better moisture uniformity and were easier to bake. In the method of comparative examples 1-2, the washing stems are used for replacing the roller for moisture regaining and temperature rising, so that the water content uniformity of the prepared stem slices is poor, and the stem slices cannot be thoroughly baked.
Test example 3 measurement of the crushing rate of pressed Stem
The crushing rate in the stem pressing step of examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3 was calculated according to the following formula;
the results of the crushing rate (%) =100% x the weight of the sundries removed by air separation/the weight of the stem chip finished product are shown in table 3.
TABLE 3 results of crushing rate of pressed stems
Stem slice Crushing ratio (%)
Example 1 2.3
Example 2 2.7
Example 3 3.0
Comparative example 1 4.5
Comparative example 2 5.1
Comparative example 3 2.5
As can be seen from Table 3, the method of the present invention has a lower crushing rate of the pressed stems than the methods of comparative examples 1 to 3, indicating that the method of the present invention saves tobacco raw materials and reduces process energy consumption.
In conclusion, the stem slices prepared by the method have good color uniformity, are not easy to mildew, have good water content uniformity, are easy to bake thoroughly, have lower stem pressing and crushing rate, and save raw materials and energy consumption.
It is apparent that the above examples are given by way of illustration only and are not limiting of the embodiments. Other variations or modifications of the above teachings will be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art. It is not necessary here nor is it exhaustive of all embodiments. While still being apparent from variations or modifications that may be made by those skilled in the art are within the scope of the invention.
