一种烘干机，具备：烘干室(3)，配置于箱体(2)内；滚筒(4)，配置于烘干室(3)内，具有形成多个通气孔(4a)的内周面；吸气路(32)，用于向烘干室(3)送入加热空气；排气路(35)，与形成于烘干室(3)的下部的风道孔(34)连通，用于排出烘干室(3)内的空气；异物检测单元(50，150，250)，能检测从滚筒(4)的通气孔(4a)向外侧突出的异物；以及控制单元(60)，控制对滚筒(4)进行旋转驱动的马达(11)，在由异物检测单元(50，150，250)检测到异物的情况下，控制单元(60)控制马达(11)以停止滚筒滚筒(4)的旋转。能防止滚筒(4)在异物从滚筒(4)的通气孔(4a)向外侧突出的状态下旋转而因该异物导致风道孔(34)的端部壁部或滚筒(4)破损。
