the top surface of the plastic shell is provided with a longitudinal pencil inserting hole which is in butt joint with the scrap collecting cavity, the pencil sharpener is longitudinally arranged in the scrap collecting cavity along the height direction of the electric pencil sharpener, and a pencil is longitudinally inserted into the pencil sharpener from the pencil inserting hole;
the host cavity comprises a vertical area which is parallel to the chip collecting cavity from left to right and a horizontal area which is positioned above or below the chip collecting cavity;
the direct current motor is longitudinally arranged in the vertical area, each gear of the gear assembly is transversely arranged in the transverse area, and a direct current motor shaft of the direct current motor is connected with the gear assembly; the gear assembly is connected with and drives the pencil sharpener;
the vertical area further comprises a battery position extending longitudinally, so that the battery is arranged along the height direction of the electric pencil sharpener.
2. The electric pencil sharpener according to claim 1, wherein a hatch is provided on a side of the plastic housing, the hatch corresponding to the chip collecting chamber and opening and closing the chip collecting chamber.
3. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 2, wherein said compartment door is transparent or translucent and said compartment door is attached to the side of the plastic housing by a snap fit arrangement.
4. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 2 wherein said gear assembly is contained within a flat gear housing, said dc motor shaft of said dc motor extending into said gear housing for connection to said gear assembly.
5. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 4, wherein said main housing cavity has a mounting portion for supporting a DC motor, said mounting portion being integrally formed with said gear housing, said mounting portion having a mounting groove therein for mating with an outer contour of said DC motor.
6. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 1 wherein said divider plate includes a longitudinal divider plate and a transverse divider plate, said longitudinal divider plate separating said chip collecting chamber from a vertical region of said main housing chamber, said transverse divider plate separating said chip collecting chamber from a transverse region of said main housing chamber.
7. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 1 further including a pencil feed channel, said pencil feed channel interfacing said pencil sharpener and said pencil insertion hole.
8. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 1 wherein said plastic housing includes a front shell and a rear shell, said front and rear shells being joined to enclose a receiving area, said chip collecting chamber and said main body chamber being located in said receiving area.
9. The electric pencil sharpener according to claim 2, wherein a front switch is disposed inside said compartment door, said compartment door being closed to turn on said front switch; the hatch is opened to turn off the front switch.
10. The electric pencil sharpener of claim 7, wherein the pencil feeding channel is provided with a trigger switch for starting the DC motor.
