本申请实施例提供一种通信方法及装置,该方法包括:获取至少一个初始激活下行带宽部分BWP的配置信息。根据至少一个初始激活下行BWP的配置信息,确定终端设备对应的第一初始激活下行BWP。终端设备根据至少一个初始激活下行BWP的配置信息确定终端设备所对应的第一初始激活下行BWP,从而可以保证各终端设备是根据自身的实际需求选择的初始激活下行BWP,避免各终端设备的初始激活下行BWP均相同所导致的通信效率较低的问题。
