Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1 to 8, the present invention provides a game pad 100, which includes a housing 10 and at least one button 20. Fig. 2 to 8 partially show a button mechanism of a game pad. In this embodiment, the game pad 100 has a pair of buttons 20 located at the corners of the front edge of the housing 10. The housing 10 has an upper housing 10a and a lower housing 10 b. The lower case 10b is attached to the upper case 10 a. The lower housing 10b has an opening 12 and a pair of pivoting seats 14, the pair of pivoting seats 14 is disposed on the inner surface of the lower housing 10b and is close to the edge of the opening 12.
The button 20 has a body 21 and a pair of arms 22. The body 21 is exposed to the opening 12. The pair of arms 22 each have one end connected to the body 21 and the other end rotatably disposed on the pair of pivoting bases 14 around a rotation axis x (see fig. 7). In this embodiment, the body 21 has an arc plate shape. The opening 12 may be slightly larger than the body 21 to facilitate installation, or to add other decorative pieces. The rotation axis x is substantially parallel to the upper housing 10a, and the rotation axis x and the straight portion of the front edge of the upper housing 10a form an acute angle θ (see fig. 7), in this embodiment, the acute angle θ is about 15 degrees. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the acute angle θ may range between 10 degrees and 50 degrees. The acute angle θ is designed such that when a user holds the gamepad 100, the user's fingers, typically the index finger, can press the button 20 in an ergonomic, natural, slightly curved position parallel to the upper housing 10 a.
In this embodiment, the game pad 100 further includes a trigger switch 42 (as shown in fig. 3 and 5) in cooperation with the button 20, and the trigger switch 42 is disposed on the inner surface of the upper housing 10 a. Specifically, the trigger switch 42 may be disposed on a circuit board 40. The circuit board 40 may be fixed to an inner surface of the upper case 10 a. The button 20 further has a trigger portion 23, and the trigger portion 23 is connected to the body 21. Specifically, the trigger portion 23 is plate-shaped and further has a trigger post 231 (as shown in fig. 4). When the button 20 is pressed, the trigger part 23 can trigger the trigger switch 42.
As shown in fig. 4, the lower case 10b has a one-to-one fixing portion 15 to be fixedly coupled to the upper case 10 a. The pair of fixing portions 15 are respectively disposed at both sides of the opening 12. The upper case 10a is connected to a pair of fixing portions 15 of the lower case 10b by a pair of fixing members 13, respectively. In this embodiment, the fixing portion 15 is a screw post formed with an internal thread, and the fixing member 13 is a screw passing through the screw hole 11 of the upper housing 10a to be locked and fixed to the screw post. However, the connection method of the upper case 10a and the lower case 10b of the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned method, and may be, for example, a snap, an adhesive, a heat-melting column, an ultrasonic welding method, or the like.
In this embodiment, the top end of the pivot seat 14 is a concave semicircular hole and is close to the fixing portion 15. A pair of arms 22 of the button 20 extend upward from both sides of the body 21, and the end of each arm 22 forms a pivot shaft 221. The pivot shaft 221 is perpendicular to the arm 22. In other words, the button 20 of the present embodiment is integrally formed with the pair of pivot shafts 221. The pivot shaft 221 is received in the pivot base 14. When the upper casing 10a is covered on the lower casing 10b, the pivot shaft 221 is limited to the pivot seat 14.
The above-described structural arrangement has the advantage that the manufacturing and assembly steps of the push button can be simplified. Specifically, during assembly, the pair of pivot shafts 221 of the button 20 are directly placed on the pair of pivot seats 14 of the lower housing 10b, respectively, so as to complete the assembly process of the button 20. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the pair of arms 22 of the button 20 may be provided with other mechanisms so that the button 20 can be rotatably provided to the lower case 10 b. For example, a shaft may be provided that traverses the pair of arms 22 and is placed on the pivot base 14, such that the button 20 rotates about the rotation axis x.
In the present embodiment, the button 20 further has a plurality of weight blocks 24 (see fig. 4 and 6), and the weight blocks 24 are disposed on the inner surface of the body 21. Each weight 24 is substantially plate-shaped, in this embodiment, substantially triangular plate-shaped, and is arranged parallel to each other and between the pair of arms 22. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. The weight may be a solid block disposed on the inner surface of the body 21.
As shown in fig. 8, the weight member 24 is located on one side of the rotation axis x, and the trigger 23 is located on the other side of the rotation axis x. In other words, the weight block 24 and the trigger 23 are located on two sides of the rotation axis x. The design points of the plurality of weight blocks 24 are that the button 20 itself has a heavy front end, so that the button 20 rotates clockwise with respect to the rotation axis x, and the gap between the trigger part 23 of the button 20 and the trigger switch 42 can be forced to be zero. Therefore, in the present embodiment, under the condition that the button 20 is not pressed, the triggering portion 23 can just contact the trigger switch 42, so that the button 20 has no idle stroke, so as to provide a better pressing touch feeling for the button 20. Furthermore, the weight 24 is located at one side of the rotation axis x and cooperates with the gravity, so that the button 20 of the present embodiment can omit the elastic arm or the elastic element and can be naturally reset.
To supplement the description, the triggering portion 23 may be a weight block 24 connected to a portion thereof, in other words, the triggering portion 23 extends outward from the weight block 24.
[ advantageous effects of the embodiments ]
One of the advantages of the present invention is that the game pad provided by the present invention can be configured with the supporting arm 22 through the button 20, and the supporting arm 22 is rotatably disposed on the pair of pivoting seats 14 of the lower housing 10b around a rotating axis. The space occupied by the buttons can be saved, and the size of the gamepad is more simplified. Through the structural design that the balancing weight 24 and the triggering portion 23 are respectively located at two sides of the rotation axis x, the button 20 does not need an elastic arm. In addition, the rotation axis x is substantially parallel to the upper casing 10a, and the rotation axis x forms an acute angle with the straight line part of the front edge of the upper casing 10a, so that the user can press the button in an ergonomic posture, and a natural posture that is parallel to the upper casing and is slightly bent. Furthermore, the assembly of the push button can be simplified.
The disclosure is only a preferred embodiment of the invention and should not be taken as limiting the scope of the invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
