Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1 to 4, the non-AC powered fireless heating system of the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a heater body 1, an open top heater housing 2, and a receptacle 3 for receiving items to be heated. In this embodiment the heating system is used for heating food, and the container 3 is a food pan made of a heat conductive material, in this embodiment stainless steel, for receiving the food to be heated.
The heater body 1 is integrally formed of four compartments 4, a box-shaped lid 8, an activation liquid accommodating portion 5, and a controller case 6. Each compartment 4 is for housing a liquid activated heating element. In this embodiment, the liquid activated heating element is a water activated heating pack that is activated with water to release thermal energy over a period of about half an hour. Such water activated heating packs are prior art and their construction is not described in detail herein. The activation liquid accommodating portion 5 is for accommodating a liquid, which is water in this embodiment, that activates a heating element for liquid activation to release heat energy. The liquid guiding means 7 sequentially guide a specific dose of liquid in the activated liquid holding part 5 to the four compartments 4, wherein the specific dose is a dose sufficient to activate the liquid activated heating element in the compartment 4.
The liquid guiding device 7 comprises four pumps 71, a controller 72 and a power source 73. Four pumps 71 are located in the activation liquid holding part 5. Four pumps 71 are provided for each of the four compartments 4 and are operatively connected to the conduit 74 to pump the liquid in the active liquid reservoir 5 to the corresponding compartment 4. The controller 72 is operatively connected to the four pumps 71 to sequentially activate the pumps 71 to pump a specific dose of liquid in the activated liquid holding part 5 to the compartment 4, wherein the specific dose is a dose sufficient to activate the liquid activated heating element in the compartment 4. The power source 73 is a battery, which is electrically connected to the controller 72 and the pump 71 to supply power to the controller 72 and the pump 71. The controller 72 and the power source 73 are housed in the controller case 6.
In the present embodiment, four compartments 4 are arranged adjacently. The tops of the four compartments 4 are covered with a box-like lid 8. The box-shaped cover 8 includes a bottom plate 81, a top plate 82, and four side plates 83. The bottom plate 81 is provided with four sets of through holes 811, each set of through holes 811 being arranged corresponding to four compartments 4, respectively. The top plate 82 is provided with a central opening 821. The open top heater housing 2 is provided with a bottom 21 and a top 22. The bottom 21 houses the heater body 1 consisting of the controller housing 6, the four compartments 4, the box-like cover 8 and the activation liquid housing 5. The top 22 houses the container 3. The open top heater housing 2 is made of a heat insulating material. There is a gap between the top plate 82 of the box-shaped lid 8 and the container 3, and there is also a gap between the open top heater housing 2 and the container 3 for the discharge of water vapor generated when the water in the compartment 4 is heated.
The operating principle of this embodiment is as follows: (1) placing the heater body 1 on the bottom 21 of the open top heater housing 2; (2) placing a water activated heating pack in each compartment 4 and then covering the four compartments 4 with box-like covers 8; (3) injecting water into the activating liquid locus 5; (4) the controller 72 is started; (5) the container 3 is placed on the top 22 of the open top heater housing 2. When the controller 72 is activated, the controller 72 first activates the first pump 71 to pump a specific dose of water in the activated liquid holding part 5 to the first compartment 4, wherein the specific dose is a dose sufficient to activate the water activated heating pack in the first compartment 4. When the water activation heating coating in the first compartment 4 is activated by water, heat energy is released to heat the water in the first compartment 4 and generate steam; the water vapor is discharged through the through hole 811 corresponding to the bottom plate 81 of the first compartment 4, diffused in the box-shaped cover 8, and then discharged through the central opening 821 of the top plate 82, the gap between the top plate 82 of the box-shaped cover 8 and the container 3, and the gap between the open-top heater case 2 and the container 3. As the thermal energy has been released, the heater body 1 becomes very hot; the open top heater housing 2 made of an insulating material prevents the user's hands from being injured when touching the present invention. After half an hour has elapsed, i.e. after the time has elapsed during which the water activated heating package has been activated and allowed to heat, the controller 72 activates the second pump 71 to pump a specific dose of the activating liquid in the activation liquid holding part 5 to the second compartment 4, wherein the specific dose is a dose sufficient to activate the water activated heating package in the second compartment 4. The process described above is then repeated until all four compartments 4 have been filled with water, allowing heating for two hours without manual intervention.
The above embodiments are preferred embodiments of the present invention, but the embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above embodiments, and any other changes, modifications, substitutions, combinations, and simplifications which do not depart from the spirit and principle of the present invention should be regarded as equivalent replacements within the protection scope of the present invention.
