Abstract

The present invention relates to a heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article comprising an outer tube (1), the outer tube (1) comprising, from upstream to downstream within the outer tube: a segment (3) of aerosol-generating material; the air guide fixing piece (5) is smaller than the cross section area of the outer pipe (1) in cross section and provided with a central air passage (51) which is axially arranged, an air inlet (11) is formed in the side wall of the outer pipe (1) which surrounds the air guide fixing piece (5), a gap between the outer wall of the air guide fixing piece (5) and the inner wall of the outer pipe (1) forms a marginal air passage (52), and the marginal air passage (52) is communicated with the central air passage (51) at the upstream end face of the air guide fixing piece (5). The invention avoids temperature fluctuation caused by air flowing through the aerosol generating material section through the ingenious air passage design, and can extract the aerosol of the aerosol generating material section.

A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article
Technical Field
The present invention is in the field of aerosol-generating articles.
Background
Aerosol generation by electronic devices heating aerosol generating materials rather than combustion has evolved in recent years as an alternative to the mainstream of conventional lit cigarettes. The aerosol generating material can be plant leaf solid material with corresponding substance components, and can be further added with fragrance material to generate aerosol with unique fragrance under heating condition for user to smoke.
However, current aerosol-generating articles of the heated non-combustible type suffer from the following problems:
1. the air flow path in the current non-combustible heated products is almost one-way, and in the process of smoking, air enters from the end of a cigarette and passes through the heated tobacco material, and aerogel generated by cracking the heated material is taken out and then enters the mouth of a smoker. Cold air is mixed into the material heating area in the air flowing process triggered by the pumping action, the temperature of the heated material is liable to be rapidly reduced, the temperature fluctuation of the subsequent material heating area is large, the cracking reaction types and degrees of the materials generated at different temperatures are different, the released aroma substances are also different, and the problem of inconsistent quality among the front pumping port, the middle pumping port, the rear pumping port, the front pumping port and the rear pumping port is brought to a sucker.
2. The temperature of the material heating area is reduced to different degrees due to different suction habits of different smokers and the air flow formed by suction, which brings great uncertainty to the consistency of the temperature curve of the heater, and is a common problem in heating non-combustible products.
3. The air current that the cigarette that does not burn at the heating that has the structural design that punches at present played and changes the resistance of inhaling in the suction in-process formation can only play, reduces the effect of gas temperature, and the low temperature air can't be in the material zone of heating, keep still effectively taking out the aerogel when the zone temperature of heating.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention provides a heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article comprising an outer tube 1, the outer tube 1 comprising, from upstream to downstream within the outer tube:
a segment 3 of aerosol-generating material;
the air guide fixing piece 5 is provided with a central air passage 51 which is axially arranged, the side wall of the outer pipe 1 which surrounds the air guide fixing piece 5 is provided with an air inlet 11, a gap between the outer wall of the air guide fixing piece 5 and the inner wall of the outer pipe 1 forms an edge air passage 52, and the edge air passage 52 is communicated with the central air passage 51 at the upstream end face of the air guide fixing piece 5.
Preferably, the heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article of the invention is further provided with a spacer 4 between the length 3 of aerosol-generating material and the air-guide fixture 5, having a central air-guide hole 41 and/or an edge air-guide slot 42.
Where technical features are modified by the term "preferred", this means that the technical features are not essential, but optional and preferably present.
Wherein upstream and downstream are defined by the flow direction of the aerosol. Typically, the segment of aerosol generating material is upstream and the filter segment is downstream.
Wherein the insulating firmware, when present, functions to prevent downstream movement of the segment of aerosol generating material while providing a delivery channel for aerosol. When a heating element is inserted inside the segment of aerosol-generating material, the aerosol-generating material tends to move downstream due to the urging action of the insertion force, which may result in insufficient thermal contact between the heating element and the segment of aerosol-generating material. Of course, when the length of aerosol-generating material is a unitary piece, such as a unitary round rod, and a space for insertion of a heating element is reserved or by heating the periphery of the length 3 of aerosol-generating material, the spacer may not be used because there is no downstream pushing force.
Preferably, the distal lip end of the outer tube 1 has a sealing membrane 2 and/or the section of the tube wall of the outer tube 1 surrounding the section 3 of aerosol-generating material is airtight. The purpose of this is to block the ingress of outside air into the segment of aerosol-generating material, keeping the segment of aerosol-generating material under an oxygen-poor or even oxygen-barrier atmosphere. Therefore, the sealing film 2 is preferably an airtight sealing film. Of course, if the aerosol generating device used with the aerosol generating article can provide a sealing means, the end of the non-combustible, heated aerosol generating article of the invention may not have the sealing film 2 and the outer tube wall may be non-airtight.
Preferably, the edge of the air guide fixture 5 has at least one, preferably a plurality of axially extending ventilation slots which form the edge air passage 52 with the inner wall of the outer tube 1. More preferably, the plurality of axially extending venting slots are evenly distributed along the outer periphery of the air guide fixture. The cross section shapes of the central air passage and the edge air passage are not limited.
Wherein the length 3 of aerosol-generating material contains a filamentary, sheet, particulate or bulk aerosol-generating material. Preferably, the aerosol-generating material may be, for example, tobacco, but of course other herbs are also possible.
Preferably, a filter segment 6 is further arranged at the downstream of the air guide firmware 5.
There is no limitation on the material of each of the insulating fixing member 4 and the air guide fixing member 5 as long as they can withstand high temperature, for example, not soften and deform at 250 ℃ or more and not release harmful substances. Preferably, the isolation fixing member 4 and the air guide fixing member 5 may be independently made of a silicone material or a ceramic material.
Preferably, the air inlet 11 is a circular cut, an arc cut or a scattered cut penetrating the tube wall of the outer tube 1.
Preferably, the outer tube 1 is formed from a wound sheet of paper or is a preformed paper tube.
The heating direction of the aerosol-generating device of the present invention may be center heating (heating by inserting a heating element into the aerosol-generating material) or circumferential heating (heating by surrounding the outer tube with a heater from the inside to the outside), and the heating method may be resistance heating or electromagnetic heating. Therefore, the aerosol generating product without combustion by heating has wide application range and can be well matched with various smoking articles.
When the heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article of the invention is heated with an aerosol-generating appliance, the segment of aerosol-generating material is heated to release the aerosol. When a user draws on the near labial end of the outer tube, ambient air enters the peripheral air passage 52 from the air inlet 11 and moves along the peripheral air passage 52 towards the upstream end of the aerosol-generating article, encounters the aerosol at the upstream end face of the air guide fixture 5 and carries it with it to turn into the central air passage, thereby performing the extraction and entrainment of the aerosol, which then flows together downstream along the central air passage into the user's mouth.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects:
1. ambient air does not flow through the length of aerosol-generating material after entering the tobacco rod but is extracted downstream thereof in an air flow diverting manner and carries aerosol released by heating of the aerosol-generating material downstream of the tobacco rod. Since ambient air does not flow through the aerosol-generating material segment, the problems of large temperature fluctuation and inconsistent fragrance release caused by air entering the segment can be avoided. Therefore, by using the aerosol generating product of the invention, the temperature of the material heating area can be effectively kept constant, the smoke is sucked more, the continuity is good, the sensory quality of the suction is better, the front-back consistency is better, the better suction experience is provided for a smoker, and the uncontrollable factors of the temperature setting of the heater are also greatly reduced.
2. Because no or little outside air enters the section of the aerosol generating material, the section is in the condition of oxygen deficiency even oxygen isolation, the ignition point of the material is increased under the condition, the burning or burning of the aerosol generating material caused by overhigh temperature can be effectively avoided, and the burning or burning taste can be avoided. In addition, higher heating temperatures (e.g., 350 ℃ higher than the conventional heating temperature, or even up to 400 ℃ or higher) can be used to more fully release the aerosol, especially to release the flavor molecules that are released only at higher temperatures to provide a richer flavor experience.

The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to examples.
For a better understanding of the objects, structure and function of the invention, a heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to the invention will now be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Example 1
As shown in figure 1, the heated non-combusting aerosol-generating article comprises:
an outer tube 1, said outer tube 1 being wound from paper material and having a first end, also commonly referred to as upstream end or distal lip end, i.e. where the air flow passes first when suction is applied, to a second end, also commonly referred to as downstream end or proximal lip end, i.e. air flow outlet when suction is applied;
a segment of aerosol-generating material 3 which is a gathered sheet of tobacco or a filament of non-flocculated tobacco;
the air guide fastener 5 is provided with a central air passage 51 arranged axially, the cross section of the central air passage 51 is not limited, the periphery of the air guide fastener 5 is also provided with a gear shape, the exemplary shape is as shown in fig. 3, an air inlet 11 is arranged around the side wall of the outer tube 1 of the air guide fastener 5, a gap between each peripheral gear tooth of the air guide fastener 5 and the inner wall of the outer tube 1 forms an edge air passage 52, each edge air passage 52 extends a certain distance towards the upstream of the aerosol generating product, and then the central air passage 51 is communicated with the upstream end face of the air guide fastener 5 to form a U-shaped air passage or a return air passage.
The heating non-combustible aerosol generating article of embodiment 1 is not provided with a filter segment near the lip end, the filter segment may be additionally provided at the mouthpiece of the aerosol generating device, and subsequent filtration may be achieved by communicating the lip end of the aerosol generating article with the filter segment in an air flow.
In use, the segment of aerosol-generating material is heated to release the aerosol. When a user draws on the near labial end of the outer tube, ambient air enters the peripheral air passage 52 from the air inlet 11 and moves along the peripheral air passage 52 towards the upstream end of the aerosol-generating article, encounters the aerosol at the upstream end face of the air guide fixture 5 and carries it with it to turn into the central air passage, thereby performing the extraction and entrainment of the aerosol, which then flows together downstream along the central air passage into the user's mouth.
Example 2
As shown in figure 2, the heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article comprises an outer tube 1, the outer tube 1 comprising, in order from upstream to downstream:
a segment of aerosol-generating material 3 which is a gathered sheet of tobacco;
a spacer 4 located immediately downstream of the length 3 of aerosol-generating material and having a central air-guide aperture and/or an edge air-guide slot; an exemplary shape of which is shown in fig. 3. Wherein the cross-sectional shapes of the center air-guide hole 41 and the edge air-guide groove 42 are not particularly limited;
the cross-sectional area of the air guide fastener 5 is smaller than that of the outer tube 1, the air guide fastener is provided with a central air passage 51 which is axially arranged, the cross-sectional shape of the central air passage is not limited, the periphery of the air guide fastener is also in a gear shape, an exemplary shape is as shown in fig. 3, an air inlet 11 is formed in the side wall of the outer tube 1 which surrounds the air guide fastener 5, a gap between each peripheral gear tooth of the air guide fastener 5 and the inner wall of the outer tube 1 forms an edge air passage 52, and after each edge air passage 52 extends for a certain distance towards the upstream of an aerosol generating product, the central air passage 51 is communicated with the upstream end face of the air guide fastener 5 to form the U-shaped air passage.
The heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article of example 1 had a filter segment 6 near the lip and a sealing film 2 at the distal lip.
In use, the segment of aerosol-generating material is heated to release the aerosol. When a user draws on the near labial end of the outer tube, ambient air enters the peripheral air passage 52 from the air inlet 11 and moves along the peripheral air passage 52 towards the upstream end of the aerosol-generating article, encounters the aerosol at the upstream end face of the air guide fixture 5 and carries it with it to turn into the central air passage, thereby performing the extraction and entrainment of the aerosol, which then flows together downstream along the central air passage into the user's mouth.

Claims (9)

1. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article comprising an outer tube (1), characterised in that the outer tube (1) comprises, from upstream to downstream within it:
a segment (3) of aerosol-generating material;
the air guide fixing piece (5) is arranged in the outer pipe (1) and is provided with a central air passage (51) which is axially arranged, an air inlet (11) is formed in the side wall of the outer pipe (1) which surrounds the air guide fixing piece (5), a gap between the outer wall of the air guide fixing piece (5) and the inner wall of the outer pipe (1) forms an edge air passage (52), and the edge air passage (52) is communicated with the central air passage (51) at the upstream end face of the air guide fixing piece (5).
2. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1, wherein a spacer (4) is further provided between the length (3) of aerosol-generating material and the air-guide fixture (5), having a central air-guide aperture (41) and/or an edge air-guide slot (42).
3. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1, wherein the outer tube (1) has a sealing film (2) at its distal lip end and/or wherein the tube wall of the outer tube (1) surrounding the segment (3) of aerosol-generating material is air-tight.
4. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1 in which the edge of the air guide (5) has at least one axially extending vent channel forming the edge airway (52) with the inner wall of the outer tube (1).
5. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1 in which the length (3) of aerosol-generating material contains a filamentary, sheet, particulate or monolith aerosol-generating material.
6. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1 in which a filter section (6) is provided downstream of the air guide fixture (5).
7. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1 in which the barrier fastener (4) and the air-directing fastener (5) are each independently made of a silicone material or a ceramic material.
8. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1 in which the air inlet (11) is an annular, arcuate or dotted cut through the wall of the outer tube (1).
9. A heated non-combustible aerosol-generating article according to claim 1, wherein the outer tube (1) is a wound formed or preformed paper tube of paper.
