The diesel filter assembly has the functions of filtering out harmful impurities and water in an automobile fuel system, protecting an engine from normal operation, reducing abrasion, avoiding blockage and prolonging the service life of the engine.
In general, an automobile is provided with two diesel filters, one for rough filtration and one for fine filtration, which are arranged on a chassis in series, and the two filters have different filtration efficiencies, so that the fuel quality reaches the engine requirement after two-stage filtration. Wherein the rough filter is provided with a one-way valve and a hand oil pump, and the fine filter is provided with no one-way valve. Besides impurities and moisture, the fuel oil also contains air, part of the air is separated out after the air passes through the diesel filter and is gathered in rough filtration and fine filtration of the diesel filter, and if the air cannot be timely discharged, the air fully occupies the diesel filter, so that the engine cannot inhale diesel, and the engine is flameout.

The air separated out from the diesel filter and the air entering the fuel oil through the exhaust hole at the upper end of the filter element can reach a balance, and the height of the oil is generally kept in the range of 1/2 to 2/3 of that of the diesel filter. Because the exhaust hole is arranged at the top end of the diesel filter, after the engine is stopped, the oil in the oil inlet pipe of the engine can flow back and fill the part with air at the upper part of the diesel filter, so that the engine cannot be supplied with oil when being started. The problem can be solved by adding a one-way valve at the outlet of the fine filter or designing the engine oil inlet pipe into a shape like a Chinese character 'ji', but the cost is increased or the design difficulty of a whole vehicle pipeline is increased.
The exhaust hole in the prior art is formed in the filter element of the diesel filter, so that the accuracy requirement of the end cover of the filter element is high, and meanwhile, the filter element is a consumable product and needs to be replaced regularly, which clearly leads to the increase of the use cost.
The exhaust hole is arranged on the filter element of the diesel filter, so that part of fuel oil can directly enter the filtered pipeline without passing through the filter paper, and the filtering effect is poor.
