In this embodiment, by providing the release layer 30 between the protection pad 22 and the display layer 10, that is, by providing the release layer 30 at a position of the display layer 10 corresponding to the protection pad 22, that is, by avoiding providing an adhesive layer between the protection pad 22 and the display layer 10, the adhesive force between the protection pad 22 and the display layer 10 can be reduced, so that the protection pad 22 can be better separated from the protection layer main body 21.
Wherein the orthographic projection of the release layer 30 on the display surface is positioned in the orthographic projection of the through hole 23 on the display surface, it can be understood that the release layer 30 is only arranged in the area of the display layer 10 facing the protection pad 22.
In addition, the protective layer 20 and the display layer 10 may be fixed by bonding with the second adhesive layer 40; moreover, the protective layer 20 includes a foam layer and a polyester resin layer which are stacked, and the foam layer is located between the second adhesive layer 40 and the polyester resin layer.
It can be understood that the protective layer 20 in the present application is used to protect the second side of the display layer 10, that is, the protective layer 20 may be formed by laminating a foam layer and a polyester resin layer on the second side of the display layer 10, so as to protect the display layer 10.
Optionally, in order to prevent the thickness of the release layer 30 from affecting the overall height of the display module, a polyester resin material may be selected to form the release layer, that is, a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) material is selected to prepare the release layer; also, the thickness of the release layer 30 may be 1 to 10 micrometers.

In addition, it should be noted that the release layer 30 is disposed between the second adhesive layer 40 and the display layer 10, and the coverage area of the release layer 30 on the display layer 10 is located in the orthographic projection of the preset cutting line on the display layer 10. The release layer 30 cuts off the adhesive force between the adhesive layer of the protective pad 22 and the display layer 10, so that the adhesive layer can be prevented from damaging the display layer 10 when the protective pad 22 is torn.
It can be understood that the second adhesive layer 40 may also be a part of the protection layer 20, that is, the protection layer 20 includes the second adhesive layer 40, the foam layer and the polyester resin layer which are sequentially stacked, and the preset cutting line also sequentially cuts the second adhesive layer 40, the foam layer and the polyester resin layer, and cuts the protection layer 20 to form the protection layer main body 21 and the protection pad 22, and the finally formed protection layer main body 21 and the protection pad 22 each include the second adhesive layer 40, the foam layer and the polyester resin layer which are sequentially stacked.
Alternatively, a handle portion 24 may be provided on a side of the protection pad 22 facing away from the display surface, and the handle portion 24 and the protection pad 22 may be connected by a first adhesive layer 25.

In this embodiment, by providing the handle portion 24, a user or an operator can apply a tearing force to the protection pad 22 conveniently, so that the separation efficiency of the protection pad 22 from the protection layer main body 21 is improved.
Further optionally, the display module further includes a metal protection layer 50, the metal protection layer 50 is disposed on a side of the protection layer 20 away from the display surface, an opening 51 is disposed in a region of the metal protection layer 50 corresponding to the protection pad 22, and the handle portion 24 is accommodated in the opening 51.
In this embodiment, the display module can be further protected by disposing the metal protection layer 50, and the metal protection layer 50 can play a role of protecting the screen; further, by housing the handle portion 24 in the opening 51 of the metal protective layer 50, the influence of the installation of the handle portion 24 on the overall height of the display module can be reduced.
In one example, the handle portion 24 may be a tear disposed on the protective pad 22.
The metal protection layer 50 may be a copper foil layer.
In order to further reduce the influence of the grip portion 24 on the overall height of the display module, the grip portion 24 and the first adhesive layer may be formed to have a stacking height less than or equal to the thickness of the metal protective layer 50.
The opening 51 formed in the metal protection layer 50 includes not only the separation passage of the protection pad 22, but also the accommodating space of the handle portion 24 and the operating space for the user or the operator to operate the handle portion 24, so that the user or the operator can apply a tearing force to the handle portion 24.
Therefore, the display module provided by the application can separate the corresponding protection pad 22 from the protection layer main body 21 as required to form a corresponding through hole so as to meet the requirement of opening the through hole; meanwhile, under the condition that the holes are not needed, the protection pad 22 can be reserved to avoid the overall influence of the redundant holes on the display module. In addition, compared with the case of directly forming all through holes which may be needed, under the condition that corresponding functional modules are not needed to be installed in some through holes, redundant through holes also need to be shielded or filled, so that the process of the display module becomes complicated.
In addition, under the condition that the protection of the protection layer is not provided for the redundant through holes, foreign matters are easily formed on the display layer 10 in the transportation or production process, and the display layer 10 has bad phenomena such as black clusters or black spots and the like, and the display effect of the display module is influenced. Through the scheme of the application, the phenomena of black clusters or black spots and the like on the display layer 10 can be avoided, and the purpose of improving the display effect of the display module is achieved.
As shown in fig. 5, when the ultrasonic sensor 60 needs to be integrated on the display module, a pulling force or a tearing force may be applied to the handle portion 24 by using a tool such as tweezers, so that the corresponding protection pad 22 is separated from the protection layer main body 21, and the ultrasonic sensor mounting hole is formed, so that the ultrasonic sensor 60 can be mounted in the corresponding through hole in an adhesive manner, and the light shielding layer 70 may be disposed in a gap between the ultrasonic sensor 60 and the sidewall of the through hole.
The thickness of the light shielding layer 70 may be less than or equal to the thickness of the metal protection layer 50, for example, the thickness of the light shielding layer 70 and the thickness of the metal protection layer 50 may both be 0.03 mm; therefore, the light shielding layer 70 is not disposed to affect the overall height of the display module.
In addition, the external circuit board of the ultrasonic sensor 60 and the circuit board of the display module can be electrically connected through a connector, for example, the external circuit board of the ultrasonic sensor 60 and the circuit board of the display module can be electrically connected through a board-to-board connector, so that a signal detected by the ultrasonic sensor 60 can be connected to the whole machine through the circuit board of the display module, and further, the fingerprint function of the electronic device is realized.
It is understood that the ultrasonic sensor 60 in this example can also be other functional devices, such as a photoelectric fingerprint sensing module, an infrared photosensitive sensing module, a pressure sensing module, an off-screen camera module, and so on.
In one example, the thickness of the display layer 10 is 0.088 mm, the thickness of the foam layer and the second adhesive layer 40 is 0.162 mm, the thickness of the polyester resin layer is 0.05 mm, and the thickness of the metal protective layer 50 is 0.03 mm.
It should be noted that, the thickness parameter in the above example is a reference thickness of the display module of the present application, and the thickness parameter of each component of the display module provided in the embodiment of the present application may also be other thickness data, which is not limited herein.
The embodiment of the application also provides an electronic device which comprises the display module.
It should be noted that the implementation manner of the embodiment of the display module is also applicable to the embodiment of the electronic device, and can achieve the same technical effect, which is not described herein again.

the protective layer is stacked on the second side and comprises a protective layer main body and a protective pad, a through hole is formed in the protective layer main body, and the protective pad is detachably arranged in the through hole;
wherein the through hole is used for installing a functional module in a state that the protection pad is detached from the through hole.
2. The display module assembly of claim 1, wherein a release layer is disposed between the protective pad and the second side, and an orthogonal projection of the release layer on the display surface is located within an orthogonal projection of the through hole on the display surface.
3. The display module according to claim 2, wherein a gap between an edge of the release layer and an inner wall of the through hole is 0.3 mm to 0.7 mm.
4. The display module assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein a handle portion is disposed on a side of the protection pad facing away from the display surface, and the handle portion is connected to the protection pad through a first adhesive layer.
5. The display module according to claim 4, further comprising a metal protection layer, wherein the metal protection layer is disposed on a side of the protection layer away from the display surface, an opening is disposed in a region of the metal protection layer corresponding to the protection pad, and the handle portion is received in the opening.
6. The display module of claim 5, wherein a stacking height of the handle portion and the first adhesive layer is less than or equal to a thickness of the metal protection layer.
7. The display module of claim 3, wherein the release layer has a thickness of 1 to 10 microns.
8. A display module according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the protective layer is connected to the second side of the display layer by a second adhesive layer;
the protective layer comprises a foam layer and polyester resin layers, wherein the foam layer is stacked on the polyester resin layers, and the foam layer is located between the second bonding layer and the polyester resin layers.
9. The display module according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the functional module comprises at least one of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensing module, a photoelectric fingerprint sensing module, an infrared photosensitive sensing module and a pressure sensing module.
