The invention discloses an activator formula for Q245R carbon steel A-TIG welding and a using method thereof, wherein the activator formula comprises the following substances in percentage by mass: SiO 22Powder of Cr2O3Powder, Al2O3Powder, TiO2Powder, MnO2Powder, Y2O3Powder B2O3And (3) powder. The formula abandons substances which are harmless to human bodies, such as halide and the like contained in the traditional active agent, has good welding quality, increases the weld penetration of welding seams, can reduce the welding production cost of factory enterprises, and greatly improves the production efficiency. The invention has the beneficial effects that: the preparation method is simple and has strong operability; the invention has good welding quality, can finish welding at one time without grooving carbon steel plates with the thickness of less than 12mm, and can finish welding only by one stepSurface welding and double-surface forming; the invention can obtain good welding seam, the welding formation of the welding seam surface is good, and the chemical composition and the mechanical property of the joint are not influenced.

Background
In TIG, tungsten inert gas welding, since helium is expensive, argon is often used as a shielding gas in industry. Therefore, the argon tungsten-arc welding is widely used and successfully applied to the welding of various nonferrous metals, stainless steel and various alloys which are easy to oxidize and have strong nitriding and chemical activity. However, TIG welding has a low penetration depth, a low deposition rate, and low productivity, and it is difficult to weld a plate material of 3mm or more.
In recent years, a new type of a-TIG welding has attracted much attention. The A-TIG (active flux TIG) welding method is that a layer of very thin surfactant is coated on the surface of a welding plate, which can cause electric arc contraction and change the flow state of a molten pool, thereby greatly improving the welding penetration. The method can ensure that the welding penetration is 2-3 times of that of the traditional TIG welding, does not need to groove the plate with the thickness of 3-12mm, can finish the welding at one time, and can realize the double-sided forming of single-sided welding. Greatly improves the production efficiency, reduces the production cost and has wide application prospect.
At present, the activating agents for carbon steel A-TIG in the market have a plurality of formula types, are complex to select and screen, contain halide and other harmful substances, cause harm to the health of people after long-term contact, and cannot achieve ideal effects after welding.

(1) mixing 90-95% of welding active agent powder with 5-10% of absolute ethyl alcohol, and uniformly stirring by using a glass rod to prepare pasty or sticky liquid;
(2) polishing a carbon steel workpiece until a metal luster appears, and then cleaning stains of oil residues on the surface by using absolute ethyl alcohol;
(3) and uniformly coating the welding active agent on the surface of the carbon steel workpiece by using a brush, and welding after the absolute ethyl alcohol is completely volatilized.
