Detailed Description
For the purpose of making the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention more apparent, the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is apparent that the described embodiments are some embodiments of the present invention, but not all embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be made by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the invention without making any inventive effort, are intended to be within the scope of the invention.
In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an embodiment of a chassis VPD information processing method, it being noted that the steps shown in the flowcharts of the figures may be performed in a computer system such as a set of computer executable instructions, and although a logical order is shown in the flowcharts, in some cases the steps shown or described may be performed in an order different from that shown or described herein.
In this embodiment, a method for processing VPD information of a chassis is provided, which may be used for a storage device in a storage device, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a computer, etc., fig. 1 is a flowchart of the method for processing VPD information of a chassis according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, where the flowchart includes the following steps:
s11, access states and access contents corresponding to the VPD information are obtained.
The storage device is provided with a storage system, and after the storage system is started, an Expander (SAS Expander) conforming to the SAS protocol accesses the storage space for storing the VPD information in the back panel and the main board. The access state is that of the SAS Expander to a storage space for storing the VPD information, the storage space can be a storage chip, such as a charged erasable programmable read-only memory (Electrically Erasable Programmable read only memory, EEPROM), and the data is not lost after power failure, so that the integrity of the VPD information can be better ensured. The access content is important attribute data of the hardware product corresponding to the VPD information, such as the product model number, the product serial number, and important data specified by the equipment.
Specifically, the SAS Expander may store the access state and the access content corresponding to the VPD information into the corresponding page according to a preset security encryption standard, and the application layer of the storage system has a module specially responsible for chassis management (Enclosure Mangement, EN), and the EN module may analyze the page storing the access state and the access content corresponding to the VPD information according to the security encryption standard protocol, so as to obtain the access state and the access content of the SAS Expander to the VPD information. The security encryption standard may be an SES encryption protocol, or may be other encryption protocols, which are not specifically limited herein.
S12, judging whether the access state is normal.
The access state is used for representing whether an access link of the SAS Expander to the VPD information storage space stored in the back panel and the main panel is smooth or not. The EN module in the storage device may detect the access status of the VPD information to confirm that the current access status has a higher priority, i.e. whether the access status is normal. When the access state is normal, step S13 is executed, otherwise, other operations are executed, and the other operations may reacquire the access state to continue detection, or may issue an access abnormality alarm, which is not limited in detail.
S13, carrying out validity check on the access content.
When the access state is normal, the SAS Expander is normal to the access link of the VPD information, and the storage device may perform validity check on the access content of the VPD information to confirm validity and legitimacy of the access content. When the access content of the VPD information does not pass the validity check, step S14 is executed, otherwise, the access content is valid, that is, the access content corresponding to the current VPD information is correct and valid.
And S14, when the access content fails to pass the validity check, sending out alarm information, wherein the alarm information is used for distinguishing fault categories.
When the access content corresponding to the VPD information does not pass the validity check, the storage device can send out alarm information so that a technician can take corresponding maintenance measures according to the alarm information. The alarm information can distinguish fault types, namely that the backboard VPD information is invalid and the main board VPD information is invalid. The technician can then determine from the alert information that a motherboard or back plate needs to be replaced.
According to the chassis VPD information processing method provided by the embodiment, the effectiveness of the access content corresponding to the VPD information is checked on the premise that the access state is normal, and if the access content is abnormal, an alarm is given, so that a user can execute corresponding fault processing measures according to the alarm information, the effectiveness of the chassis VPD information at the moment is ensured, and the reliability and the safety of the storage equipment are improved.
In this embodiment, a method for processing VPD information of a chassis is provided, which may be used for a storage device in a storage device, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a computer, etc., fig. 2 is a flowchart of the method for processing VPD information of a chassis according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, where the flowchart includes the following steps:
s21, access states and access contents corresponding to the VPD information are acquired. The detailed description is referred to the related description of the step S11 corresponding to the above embodiment, and will not be repeated here.
S22, judging whether the access state is normal. The detailed description is referred to the related description of the step S11 corresponding to the above embodiment, and will not be repeated here.
S23, when the access state is normal, validity verification is carried out on the access content.
Specifically, the step S23 may include;
s231, a verification mode of access content is obtained, wherein the access content comprises backboard VPD content and main board VPD content.
The verification mode is a preset mode for verifying the validity and effectiveness of the access content, and the storage device can respectively verify the backboard VPD content and the main board VPD content by adopting the verification mode. For example, the memory device may employ a string to verify the contents of the backplane VPD and the motherboard VPD. Of course, the storage device may also use other verification methods to perform validity verification on the back plane VPD content and the main plane VPD content.
S232, carrying out validity verification on the access content according to a verification mode.
The storage device can carry out validity check on the access content corresponding to the VPD information according to a set check mode. When the access content passes the validity check, step S233 is performed, otherwise step S234 is performed. Specifically, if the character string is used for validity verification, the storage device may determine whether the back plane VPD content and the main plane VPD content are valid by determining whether the character string is a number, whether the character string is an english letter, whether the character string length is legal, etc., which may be determined by those skilled in the art according to actual requirements, and is not limited herein
S233, when the access content passes the validity check, it is determined that the access content is valid.
When the access content passes the validity check, the backboard VPD content and the main board VPD content are indicated to be correct and valid, at the moment, the storage device can judge that the access content is valid, and the validity of the current access content can be displayed through a user interface (GUI) so as to ensure the normal work of the storage device.
S234, when the access content fails to pass the validity check, acquiring the access content corresponding to the VPD information again after a first preset time interval.
The first preset duration is a time interval for acquiring the access content again after the first verification failure of the access content, and the first preset duration can be 20s, 30s, 40s or other values, which are not limited herein specifically, and can be determined by a person skilled in the art according to actual needs.
When the access content fails the validity check, the current access content is invalid or illegal, and the storage device can acquire the access content corresponding to the VPD information again after a first preset time interval to play a role in error anti-shake. The manner of re-acquiring the access content corresponding to the VPD information is identical to the manner of first acquiring the access content corresponding to the VPD information, and will not be described herein.
S235, validity verification is carried out on the access content acquired again.
And (3) the storage device performs validity check on the access content acquired again according to a preset check mode, if the access content acquired again still fails the validity check, the step S24 is executed, otherwise, the fact that the validity check of the access content fails for the first time is possibly caused by error jitter is indicated, and the storage device can judge that the access content is valid at the moment.
And S24, when the access content fails to pass the validity check, sending out alarm information, wherein the alarm information is used for distinguishing fault categories.
Specifically, the step S24 may include; and when the acquired access content still fails to pass the validity check, sending out alarm information, wherein the alarm information comprises first alarm information of the backboard VPD content and second alarm information of the main board VPD content.
The first alarm information of the backboard VPD content indicates that the backboard VPD content is illegal, and the second alarm information of the main board VPD content indicates that the main board VPD content is illegal. When the acquired access content still fails the validity check, the current access content fails the validity check and is not caused by error jitter, and the storage device can generate alarm information and display the alarm information on a user interface to remind a technician of timely troubleshooting.
According to the chassis VPD information processing method provided by the embodiment, the effectiveness of the backboard VPD content and the mainboard VPD content is checked according to the verification mode by acquiring the verification mode of the access content. When the access content passes the validity check, judging that the access content is valid; and when the access content fails the validity check, acquiring the access content corresponding to the VPD information again after a first preset time interval, and if the acquired access content fails the validity check again, sending out the first alarm information of the backboard VPD content and/or the second alarm information of the main board VPD content so as to play a role of error anti-shake, and meanwhile, carrying out alarm distinction on the backboard VPD content and the main board VPD content, so that corresponding maintenance measures can be conveniently adopted in time to eliminate faults, and the safety and reliability of the storage equipment are ensured.
In this embodiment, a method for processing VPD information of a chassis is provided, which may be used for a storage device in a storage device, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a computer, etc., and fig. 3 is a flowchart of the method for processing VPD information of a chassis according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, where the flowchart includes the following steps:
s31, access states and access contents corresponding to the VPD information are acquired.
Specifically, the step S31 may include:
s311, monitoring broadcast data corresponding to the VPD information, wherein the broadcast data is triggered when the access state and/or the access content are changed.
When the broadcast data is the broadcast event triggered and sent by the SAS Expander of the storage device and the access state and/or access content corresponding to the VPD information are changed, the storage device driving layer can monitor the broadcast event sent by the SAS Expander in real time.
Specifically, when the storage device is powered on to complete starting, after the initialization of the SAS Expander of the storage device is completed, the SAS Expander accesses the back panel and the EEPROM storing the VPD in the main panel, and when the SAS Expander fails to access the VPD information of the main panel or the VPD information of the back panel, the SAS Expander can be embodied in a relevant page, and specifically, the access failure information can be put into page 0x02 according to the SES protocol. If the VPD information is successfully accessed, the read VPD information is stored in the corresponding page 0xDX, wherein X can be determined by a person skilled in the art according to actual needs, and is not specifically limited herein.
The SAS Expander may poll the access status and/or access content corresponding to the VPD information once every a certain period of time to determine whether the access status and/or access content corresponding to the VPD information changes. If the access state and/or the access content corresponding to the VPD information change, the SAS Expander needs to encapsulate the changed access state and/or the changed access content in a data packet to perform broadcast data transmission. Accordingly, the storage device driver layer may monitor broadcast data sent by the SAS Expander in real time.
S312, analyzing the access state and the access content corresponding to the VPD information based on the broadcast data corresponding to the VPD information.
When the storage device driving layer monitors broadcast data sent by the SAS Expander, a callback function of the EN module can be called to trigger a Discovery process of the EN module, wherein the Discovery process of the EN module is a process of interacting with the SAS Expander through a SCSI protocol. When the Discovery flow is triggered, the EN sends SCSI commands to the SAS Expander through the protocol layer and the driving layer to request page information, so as to obtain access states and access contents corresponding to the VPD information.
And when the Discovery process is finished, the EN module performs a verification validator stage, and in the verification stage, the EN module can analyze the page according to an SES protocol so as to obtain the access state and the access content of the SAS Expander to the VPD information.
S32, judging whether the access state is normal.
Specifically, the step S32 may include:
s321, judging whether the access state acquired for the first time is normal.
The access state acquired for the first time is the state acquired after the access state is changed, and the EN module of the storage device judges whether the access state acquired for the first time is abnormal or not so as to determine whether an access link of the SAS Expander for accessing the VPD information is normal or not. When the access status acquired for the first time is abnormal, step S322 is executed, otherwise step S33 is executed.
S322, acquiring the access state corresponding to the VPD information again after the second preset time interval.
The second preset duration is a time interval for acquiring the access state again when the access state is abnormal, and the second preset duration can be 20s, 30s, 40s or other values, which are not limited herein, and can be determined by a person skilled in the art according to actual needs.
When the access state acquired for the first time is abnormal, the access link of the SAS Expander for accessing the VPD information is abnormal, and at the moment, the storage device can acquire the access state corresponding to the VPD information again after a second preset time interval, so that the error anti-shake effect is achieved. The manner of re-acquiring the access state corresponding to the VPD information is identical to the manner of first acquiring the access state corresponding to the VPD information, and will not be described herein.
S323, judging whether the access state acquired again is normal.
The storage device determines whether the access state acquired again is normal, if the access state acquired again is abnormal, step S324 is executed, otherwise, it indicates that the first access state abnormality may be caused by error jitter, at this time, the storage device may determine that the access state is normal, and further perform validity check on the access content of the VPD information.
S324, when the access state acquired again is abnormal, abnormal alarm information is sent out, wherein the abnormal alarm information comprises alarm codes, and the alarm codes distinguish the access failure of the backboard VPD from the access failure of the main board VPD.
When the access state acquired again is abnormal, the current access state is not caused by error jitter, and the storage device can generate abnormal alarm information to indicate that the controller fails to access the VPD. Specifically, the abnormal alarm information includes alarm codes, different abnormal access states can be distinguished through different alarm codes, for example, the access failure of the backboard VPD is represented by an alarm code D1, the access failure of the motherboard VPD is represented by D2, and the controller of the access failure in the storage device can be determined through the alarm information, so that a technician can perform corresponding maintenance measures according to the abnormal alarm information to eliminate the access abnormality.
S33, when the access state is normal, validity verification is carried out on the access content. The detailed description refers to the corresponding related descriptions of the above embodiments, and will not be repeated here.
And S34, when the access content fails to pass the validity check, sending out alarm information, wherein the alarm information is used for distinguishing fault categories. The detailed description refers to the corresponding related descriptions of the above embodiments, and will not be repeated here.
S35, in response to maintenance operation of the alarm information, the alarm information is cleared.
When a technician finds out the alarm information in the inspection process, the technician can determine corresponding maintenance measures, such as main board replacement, backboard replacement and the like, according to the alarm information. After the technician finishes the maintenance measures, the information of finishing maintenance can be input into the storage device, accordingly, the storage device can respond to the maintenance operation of the alarm information, and the alarm information elimination is eliminated when the normal access state and the access content are obtained, so that misleading of the alarm information to the technician is avoided.
According to the chassis VPD information processing method provided by the embodiment, the access state and the access content are monitored in real time, whether the access state and the access content after the change are normal or not is detected, the effectiveness of the chassis VPD information is timely determined, and the reliability and the safety of the storage device are guaranteed. And judging whether the access state acquired for the first time is normal or not, acquiring the access state corresponding to the VPD information again after a second preset time interval when the access state acquired for the first time is abnormal, and sending out abnormal alarm information to play a role of error anti-shake if the access state acquired again is abnormal. The alarm code in the abnormal alarm information distinguishes the access failure of the backboard VPD and the access failure of the main board VPD, so that the communication link with the fault can be conveniently determined to take corresponding maintenance measures for fault elimination. After the alarm information is sent out, the alarm information is cleared by responding to the maintenance operation of the alarm information, so that the alarm can be correspondingly eliminated after the fault is eliminated, and the problem that the normal operation of the storage equipment is influenced due to false alarm is avoided.
