Description

Household appliance having a closure element and a handle recess formed specifically on the narrow side of the closure element
Technical Field
One aspect of the invention relates to a household appliance having a body. At least one receiving chamber for the food product is configured in the body. Furthermore, the household appliance has a closure element. The closure element is movably arranged on the body. The closure element has a narrow side. A handle recess is disposed in the narrow side. The handle recess has a recess bottom wall.
Background
Household appliances of this type, for example household refrigeration appliances, are known. The closing element can have a front plate. The front plate is constructed, for example, from a metal plate. Furthermore, the section connected laterally to the front panel is designed as an edge region. The handle groove is formed in the edge region. The handle groove is delimited, for example, by a front delimiting wall and a rear delimiting wall. Furthermore, the handle grooves are each delimited by a groove bottom.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a household appliance in which such a handle recess, which is formed laterally in the narrow side of the closing element, is improved with regard to its usability.
This object is achieved by a household appliance having the features according to the preferred embodiments of the invention.
One aspect of the invention relates to a household appliance having a body. In particular a receiving chamber for food products is constructed in the body. Furthermore, the household appliance has a closure element. The closure element is movably arranged on the body. The receiving space is closed or accessible by means of a closure element. The closure element has a front side. Furthermore, the closing element has a plurality of narrow sides connected to the front side. The front side and the narrow side are in different planes and are oriented at an angle with respect to each other. The narrow side extends in the depth direction of the closing element or at least substantially in the depth direction of the closing element. Typically, the front side is rectangular in configuration, so that the closure element has four narrow sides: namely a left narrow side, a right narrow side, an upper narrow side and a lower narrow side. The handle recess is arranged, in particular formed, in at least one narrow side. The handle recess is preferably delimited towards the front by a front boundary wall viewed in the depth direction. It is furthermore possible for the handle recess to be delimited to the rear by a rear delimiting wall viewed in the depth direction. In any case, the handle recess is bounded by a recess bottom wall. The groove bottom wall is formed obliquely in the depth direction of the closure element. In a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side, the groove bottom wall is thus arranged obliquely or askew with respect to the depth direction. The groove bottom wall extends in the plane non-parallel to the depth direction.
The configuration thus provides a completely specific cross-sectional geometry of the handle recess. The handle recess can be enlarged individually by means of a recess bottom wall specifically oriented in this connection. This results in an improved grip by the fingers. In particular, the bottom wall of the recess can also be used as a contact surface, to which a force can be applied, for example, by one or more fingers that are inserted into the handle recess, as viewed in the direction opposite to the depth direction. Thereby, pulling of the closure element by gripping into the handle recess can be improved. It is no longer necessary to apply only a corresponding force action, for example, to the front boundary wall. Furthermore, the orientation of the bottom wall of the recess enables a deeper grip into the handle recess by one or more fingers. Thereby better preventing the fingers from slipping out of the grip recess. A further particular advantage achieved by the described orientation of the groove base wall is that one of the two possible boundary walls is, as it were, elongated in the horizontal plane compared to the prior art. The boundary wall can thus be used better for equipping further components than in the prior art.
In a further independent aspect, a household appliance is provided, which has a body in which a receiving chamber is formed. The household appliance has a closure element on which the body is movably arranged. The receiving space is closed or accessible by means of a closure element. The closure element has a front side and a plurality of narrow sides connected to the front side. The front side and the narrow side are also oriented in different planes and at an angle relative to each other in this respect. A handle recess is configured in at least one of the narrow sides. The handle recess is preferably delimited towards the front by a front boundary wall viewed in the depth direction. It is furthermore possible for the handle recess to be delimited to the rear by a rear delimiting wall viewed in the depth direction. The handle recess has in each case a recess bottom wall, by which the handle recess is delimited. Each narrow side has a longitudinal extension of the narrow side, i.e. an extension which is maximal compared to the other extensions of the narrow side. The groove bottom wall has a first end and a second end in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side. In which plane the recess bottom wall extends between a first end and a second end. If the plane is a horizontal plane (handle groove in the left or right narrow side), the first end is arranged in a different width position relative to the second end according to this aspect of the invention. If the plane is a vertical plane (handle recess in the upper or lower narrow side), the first end is arranged in a different height position relative to the second end according to this aspect of the invention. The corresponding advantages described in the aforementioned independent first aspect of the household appliance apply in this respect as well.
In particular, it is provided with this independent second aspect that the groove base wall is arranged obliquely in the depth direction of the closure element. This means that the groove bottom wall is not oriented parallel to the depth direction in a plane oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the handle groove. Specifically, the groove bottom wall is arranged obliquely with respect to the depth direction in the plane.
In a further independent aspect of the household appliance, provision is made for the household appliance to have a body. A receiving chamber is configured in the body, in particular for receiving a food product. Furthermore, the household appliance has a closure element which is movably arranged on the body. The handle recess is delimited towards the front by a front boundary wall viewed in the depth direction. The handle recess is delimited to the rear by a rear delimiting wall viewed in the depth direction. The handle recess has a recess bottom wall, through which the handle recess is likewise delimited. The recess bottom wall is preferably directly connected to the front and rear delimiting walls. Each narrow side has a longitudinal extension of the narrow side, i.e. an extension which is maximal compared to the other extensions of the narrow side. The inner angle is thus determined in the handle recess and is thus determined between the inner sides of the walls of the handle recess and is formed between the recess bottom wall and the front boundary wall, which inner angle is different from the inner angle between the recess bottom wall and the rear boundary wall. The inner angle is measured in a plane oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the grip recess. The configuration of the recess bottom wall likewise achieves the corresponding advantages already mentioned for the initially mentioned independent aspect of the household appliance.
The aforementioned aspects and advantageous embodiments are particularly suitable for at least 50% or at least 70% or at least 80% or at least 90% of the length of the handle groove and/or along the longitudinal extension of the handle groove. The length of the handle groove or the longitudinal extension of the handle groove is the maximum extension of the handle groove. Typically, the longitudinal extension of the handle groove extends parallel to the longitudinal extension of the narrow side.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the first end of the groove base wall, viewed in the width direction or height direction, in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side, is arranged offset, viewed in the width direction or height direction, by at most 2cm, in particular at most 1cm, in particular at most 0.7cm, in particular at most 0.5cm, relative to the second end of the groove base wall. In particular, the first end of the bottom wall of the groove and the second end of the bottom wall of the groove are offset with respect to each other by between 0.3cm and 0.5cm, in particular 0.4 cm. The distance from a line parallel to the depth direction is measured in the width direction or the height direction, depending on whether the plane is a horizontal plane (width direction) or a vertical plane (height direction). The aforementioned advantages are particularly advantageously achieved by the particular orientation of the bottom wall of the recess.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the recess base wall in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side is shorter than the rear boundary wall of the handle recess and/or shorter than the front boundary wall of the handle recess. The configuration enables the handle recess to be formed relatively small or relatively narrow on its recess bottom. This makes it possible, on the one hand, to design the grip recess also better ergonomically for gripping. In particular, the additional installation space of the closure element filled with insulating material is thereby increased. Thereby improving the thermal insulation of the closure element.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the groove base wall is curved at least in sections in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side. The groove bottom wall can, for example, be at least partially convexly or concavely curved, i.e. curved towards or away from the groove entrance of the handle groove. In particular, it is conceivable for the recess base wall to extend in a curved manner in this plane completely between a first end of the recess base wall and a second end of the recess base wall.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the groove base wall is at least partially formed linearly in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side. In particular, it is conceivable for the recess base wall to extend in a straight line in this plane completely between a first end of the recess base wall and a second end of the recess base wall. This is a further very advantageous embodiment. On the one hand, this results in a simple geometry of the bottom wall of the recess. The handle recess on this base can on the other hand be configured accordingly with respect to its width. The straight-line configuration of the recess base wall is also particularly advantageous for achieving the advantages that are initially achievable in the aforementioned independent aspects.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the groove base wall is inclined at an internal angle of between 5 ° and 45 °, in particular between 15 ° and 40 °, relative to the depth direction. This can be seen in particular in a plane extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the groove base wall is formed inclined downward in the depth direction. This means that the rear end (first end) of the recess bottom wall, viewed in the depth direction of the closure element, in a plane extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side is spaced further apart from the recess entrance of the handle recess than the front end (second end) of the recess bottom wall, viewed in the depth direction of the closure element. The configuration thus increases the grip recess, viewed from behind in the depth direction, in the base region of the grip recess, in particular in the width direction or in the height direction. This reinforces the advantages mentioned at the outset again.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the inner angle between the rear boundary wall and the recess base wall in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side differs from the inner angle between the recess base wall and the front boundary wall. In particular, it can be provided that the inner angle between the rear boundary wall and the recess base wall in this plane is smaller than the inner angle between the recess base wall and the front boundary wall.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the front boundary wall and the recess base wall are formed in one piece. If a rear boundary wall is present, it can be provided that the front boundary wall, the rear boundary wall and the groove base wall are constructed in one piece. This saves assembly effort. Also interfaces between the individual components can be avoided thereby. Leakage, for example dirt, from the grip recess into the interior of the closure element can thereby be prevented. The heat-insulating material arranged in the interior of the closure element can likewise be prevented from penetrating into the handle recess through the interface.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the narrow side of the closure element is covered by a side cover, and the handle recess is formed integrally with the side cover. The edge cover is in an advantageous embodiment a visible component of the edge side of the closure element. In particular, the inner space of the closure element is covered on one side (on the left/on the right/above/below) by the edge cover.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the front side is formed by a front cover. The edge cover and the front cover are in particular integrally formed. The interior of the closure element is covered on the front side by a front cover. The front cover is in particular a visible component on the front side which forms the closure element. The housing or outer shell of the closure element is thus provided by the front cover and/or the edge cover.
It may be provided that the edge cover and/or the front cover are made of metal, for example sheet metal.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the handle recess has a rear boundary wall and the narrow side is formed by a flap, wherein the end of the rear boundary wall facing away from the recess base wall in a plane extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side terminates in a transition of the flap which is convexly curved over its entire length (measured in the plane), wherein the other end of the transition terminates in a horizontal section of the flap. Thereby a continuously curved transition is achieved. The corner regions of the edge covers are thus formed with a relatively small radius, as a result of which corresponding installation space can be saved. The transition is thus formed without a straight section. The "horizontal part of the edge cover" is preferably constituted by a flat face lying in a plane extending through the width and height of the closure element.
The transition curved over its entire length, in particular convexly curved, is in particular designed such that an angle of between 30 ° and 50 °, in particular between 35 ° and 45 °, in particular 40 °, is formed between the rear boundary wall and the horizontal section.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the handle recess has a rear boundary wall and a front boundary wall, and that the rear boundary wall and the front boundary wall, viewed in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow sides, are oriented toward one another from the recess entrance of the handle recess toward the recess base wall. The handle recess is thereby formed so as to taper toward the recess bottom, as viewed in the plane.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the handle recess has a rear delimiting wall and a front delimiting wall, and that the rear delimiting wall and the front delimiting wall are each configured in a straight line in a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the narrow side.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the handle recess, which optionally has a boundary wall and a recess bottom wall, is designed as a profiled element, in particular as a curved element.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the handle recess extends through the entire narrow side in the longitudinal extension of the narrow side.
In one embodiment, it is provided that at least 50% or at least 75% or at least 80% or at least 90% of the longitudinal extension of the handle groove has a constant cross-sectional profile.
In one embodiment, it is provided that a functional component separate from the rear delimiting wall is arranged on the inner side of the latter delimiting wall. The functional component may for example be at least one light source, in particular an array of light sources. However, it may also be provided that the functional component is a display. An operating and/or display unit as a functional component can also be arranged there. The functional member may also have a touch-sensitive operation panel.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the handle recess is closed on the front side. The handle recess can only be grasped by the narrow side in which the handle recess is arranged or formed. In particular, the handle recess does not project beyond the front side in the width direction and/or in the height direction. The handle recess constitutes an integrated grip.
The closure element may be a door, a drawer or, a drawer front or a lid. The "movable arrangement" of the closing element on the body can, for example, take into account a (only) rotatable articulation of the closing element by means of a hinge or a (only) translatory articulation by means of a (telescopic) stretching device.
The domestic appliance may in particular be a domestic refrigeration appliance, such as a refrigerator or freezer or a combination refrigerator-freezer appliance. It is likewise conceivable for the domestic appliance to be an oven, a dishwashing appliance or a washing machine.
The expressions "upper", "lower", "front", "rear", "horizontal", "vertical", "depth direction", "width direction", "height direction" and the like refer to positions and orientations given in the conventional use and conventional arrangement of a closure element or appliance.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a household appliance 1. The household appliance 1 is designed here for storing food. The household appliance 1 is in particular a household refrigeration appliance. The domestic appliance may thus be a refrigerator or freezer or refrigerator-freezer. The household appliance 1 has a body 2. At least one receiving chamber 3 is constructed in the body 2. The receiving chamber 3 is configured here for receiving the food product. A further, separate receiving chamber 4 can also be formed in addition to or instead of this. The receiving chamber 3 may be a refrigerator, for example. The receiving chamber 4 may be, for example, a freezing chamber. However, the receiving chamber may also be a second refrigerated chamber.
The household appliance 1 furthermore has a closure element 5. The closure element 5 is movably arranged on the body 2. The closing element can in particular be pivoted about a vertical axis a. If the household appliance 1 has a further receiving chamber 4, a further closing element 6 can be present. The further closing element is in particular independent of the closing element 5. The two closing elements 5 and 6 can be moved in particular independently of one another. The second closing element 6 may be able to oscillate about a vertical axis B.
The closure element 5 has a front side 7. The front side 7 is a front surface. The closing element 5, on account of its three-dimensional configuration, furthermore has an upper narrow side 8, a lower narrow side 9 and two opposite vertical narrow sides 10 and 11. The narrow sides 8 to 11 are the narrow sides of the plate-shaped closing element 5. In the embodiment, the handle recess 12 is configured in the vertical narrow side 11. The handle recess is closed at the front side and can only be grasped through the narrow side 11. The handle recess 12 thus has only one handle recess 12 which is open laterally in relation to this. The handle groove 12 can thus be gripped only by gripping in the width direction (x direction).
If the closure element 6 is present, it can have a further handle recess 14 on the respective vertical narrow side 13.
The grip recesses 12 and 14 extend in the longitudinal direction of the narrow sides 11 and 13 over only a partial section of the narrow sides 11 and 13, respectively. Alternatively, it can be provided that the handle recesses 12 and/or 14 extend over the entire longitudinal extent of the narrow sides 11 and 13.
Fig. 2 shows a sectional view of a part of the closure element 5. The plane shown in fig. 2 is a horizontal plane. The plane extends through the depth direction (z-direction) of the closure element 5 and the width direction (x-direction) of the closure element 5. As can be seen, the closure element 5 has a front cover 15. The front side 7 is covered by said front cover 15. The closure element 5 furthermore has a side cover 16. The narrow side 11 is covered by the edge cover 16.
The front cover 15 is a visible component of the closure element 5 on the front side. The edge cover 16 is a side cover of the narrow side 11.
The front cover 15 is made of a metal plate. The edge cover 16 is made of a metal plate. Preferably, the front cover 15 and the side cover 16 are integrally constructed. The component is in particular designed as a profiled component, in particular as a curved component.
The handle recess 12 is delimited by a rear boundary wall 17 in the depth direction (z direction) and a front boundary wall 18 which is independent of the rear boundary wall. In principle, the edge cover 16 is arranged at an angle α 1 relative to the front cover 15. The front cover 15 and the edge cover 16 thus do not extend in one plane.
The handle recess 12 is furthermore delimited by a recess bottom wall 19. The recess bottom wall 19 is in the illustrated embodiment constructed completely linearly in the horizontal plane over its entire length. In particular, the rear delimiting wall 17 is formed completely straight over its entire length in this horizontal plane shown. In particular, the front boundary wall 18 is constructed straight over its entire length, viewed in this horizontal plane.
It is also possible for the groove base wall 19 to be curved at least in sections in the horizontal plane shown. The curvature may be oriented in the direction of the groove entrance 20. However, the curvature can also be oriented away from this groove entrance 20. A convex or concave curvature of the groove bottom wall 19 can thereby be provided.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 2, it is provided that the first end 19a of the groove bottom wall 19, viewed in the width direction (x-direction), is further from the groove entrance 20 than the second end 19b of said groove bottom wall 19. The distance of the first end 19a, measured in the width direction, from the groove entrance 20 is thus greater than the distance of the second end 19b, measured in the width direction, from this groove entrance 20. The spacing and orientation can be seen relative to one another in this horizontal plane shown in fig. 2.
In particular, the first end 19a is an end arranged further rearward than the second end 19b as viewed in the depth direction.
The two end portions 19a and 19b are arranged at different width positions viewed in the width direction in this horizontal plane shown in fig. 2.
The groove bottom wall 19 is arranged, seen in this horizontal plane, in particular at an inner angle α 2 with respect to the rear boundary wall 17. The recess bottom wall 19 is arranged, seen in this horizontal plane, in particular at an inner angle α 3 with respect to the front boundary wall 18. The inner angle α 2 is in particular smaller than the inner angle α 3. As can also be seen in fig. 3, in a completely straight configuration of the groove base wall 19, the latter is arranged at an angle α 4 to the depth direction z.
In a configuration in which the recess base wall 19 is not completely straight, a corresponding angle α 4 is provided in an advantageous embodiment. The angle is formed between the depth direction z and a straight line extending through the end portions 19a and 19 b.
In an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that, when the depth direction extends through one of the two ends 19a or 19b, as shown in fig. 2, the distance d of the other end, here the first end 19a, measured in this horizontal plane perpendicular to the depth direction z is between 2mm and 7mm, in particular between 2mm and 5mm, in particular 4 mm. The spacing d as shown in fig. 2 is also determined in this horizontal plane.
As can also be seen in fig. 2, the rear delimiting wall 17 is longer in this horizontal plane than the front delimiting wall 18. Furthermore, the rear delimiting wall 17 is elongated, viewed in the horizontal plane, by the orientation of the recess base wall 19 shown in this horizontal plane, by a portion formed from the depth direction z up to the first end 19 a.
In particular, it is provided that the two boundary walls 17 and 18 are oriented non-parallel in this horizontal plane. The boundary walls are oriented toward one another starting from the groove inlet 20 toward the groove base wall 19. The handle recess 12 is thus formed, viewed in this horizontal plane, with a tapering profile from the recess entrance 20 to the recess bottom.
It can be provided that the end 17a of the rear boundary wall 17 facing away from the recess bottom wall 19 in this horizontal plane extends directly onto the transition 21. The transition 21 is of completely curved design. The transition 21 is in particular of uniformly curved design. The transition 21 preferably terminates in a horizontal portion 22 of the edge cover 16 at an end 21a facing away from the end 17a of the rear delimiting wall 17. The angle α 5 between the boundary wall 17 and the horizontal portion 22 in this horizontal plane is in particular between 35 ° and 45 °, in particular 40 °. The transition 21 is thereby provided in particular with a corresponding radius, so that this angle is formed.
The angle α 4 is preferably between 5 ° and 45 °, in particular between 15 ° and 40 °.
The ergonomic contour is also achieved by the described geometry of the handle recess 12, in particular the arrangement of the boundary walls 17 and 18 and the recess bottom wall 19. This achieves a better grip with the fingers, in particular the finger tips. Especially when the user also has a long fingernail.
Furthermore, the area of the inner side 17b of the rear boundary wall 17 can be increased by this configuration. This improves the connection surface for the additional individual functional part 23, as shown in fig. 3. In particular when the functional part 23 is arranged over the entire extension of the inner side 17b, viewed in this horizontal plane. The respective functional unit or functional part 23 with the particular material strength can thus be arranged with a small gap. Thereby achieving less susceptibility to contamination. Furthermore, the described configuration of the walls delimited by the handle groove 12 is also achieved, the groove bottom or groove base wall 19 being visible at the viewing angle α 6 shown in fig. 3. This angle α 6 is smaller than in the case of the configuration of the groove base wall from the prior art, which is formed entirely over its entire length in the depth direction.
