Description

Aqueous polyvinylidene chloride single-component anti-rust primer and preparation method thereof
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of corrosion prevention and rust prevention, and relates to aqueous polyvinylidene chloride single-component rust-proof primer and a preparation method thereof.
Background
The resins commonly used in the water-based single-component antirust primer on the market at present are water-based alkyd resin, water-based acrylic resin and water-based epoxy ester resin. The water-based single-component antirust primer prepared from the resins has good water resistance (240 h), salt water resistance (240 h) and salt fog resistance (240 h), but the VOC (volatile organic compound) content of the paint is higher and is more than 100 g/L.
At present, strict limitation on VOC emission in the anticorrosion coating industry is required, especially the VOC emission is required to be monitored at fixed points and in fixed time, and enterprises requiring large-scale anticorrosion coating operation have higher requirements on the VOC emission in the construction process, so that the development of the water-based anticorrosion coating with lower VOC content is required.
The water-based alkyd antirust primer is generally prepared from water-soluble alkyd resin, and the resin and a formula contain a large amount of solvent, so that the VOC content of the product is very high and is close to 300 g/L; the water resistance, salt water resistance and salt spray resistance of the product are 168 h.
The water-based acrylic acid antirust primer generally adopts acrylic acid emulsion, a certain amount of solvent is contained in the formula, and the VOC content of the product is higher and is close to 150 g/L; the water resistance, salt water resistance and salt spray resistance of the product reach 240 hours.
The waterborne epoxy ester antirust primer generally adopts epoxy ester dispersoid, resin and a formula contain a certain amount of solvent, and the VOC content of the product is higher and is close to 200 g/L; the water resistance, salt water resistance and salt spray resistance of the product reach 300 h.

The invention is compared with the prior invention patents: aqueous polyvinylidene chloride rust-proof primer and preparation method thereof, patent numbers: CN200710066723.1 is an anti-rust primer for protecting rusty metal, which mainly utilizes the reaction of tannic acid and phosphoric acid with metal to generate chelate, and the acidity and the barrier property of polyvinylidene chloride latex, can dissolve and purify rust on the surface of a rusty base material, has good adhesive force with the base material, and has certain barrier property to external moisture and oxygen, water resistance of 48h, salt water resistance of 96h and adhesive force of 2 grade. The formula contains 5-20 weight percent of isopropanol solvent, and the VOC content is more than 50 g/L. In addition, the color of the coating film is single, and only black can be presented.
Compared with the prior art, the antirust primer disclosed by the invention has the advantages of more excellent water resistance (720 h), salt water resistance (720 h), adhesive force (0 level), extremely low VOC content (less than 10 g/L), and rich coating colors, such as white, iron red, iron yellow, gray and the like. The antirust primer is mainly used for the surface of a metal base material after manual or mechanical polishing and sand blowing and shot blasting treatment, and can also be matched with the antirust primer in the prior patent.
The excellent performance of the anti-corrosive primer disclosed by the invention not only utilizes the acidity and barrier property of polyvinylidene chloride latex, but also has a key factor of containing a proper proportion of compounded high-performance anti-corrosive pigment in the formula. Compared with the prior patent that tannic acid and phosphoric acid react with metal to generate a chelate passivation layer to achieve the purpose of rust prevention, the rust prevention mechanism of the rust prevention primer not only has the advantage that a large amount of phosphate radicals in inorganic phosphate form a denser insoluble passivation layer with metal ions on the surface of a base material (the activity of the superfine modified inorganic phosphate rust prevention pigment is much higher than that of the common phosphate rust prevention pigment), but also has the advantage that the coating film has excellent corrosion inhibition effect by matching with the organic rust prevention pigment; in addition, the ion exchange antirust pigment can exchange hydrogen ions on the coating film and the base material by calcium ions, so that acidic substances are neutralized, a higher pH value can be maintained, the corrosion of external moisture and chloride ions is further inhibited, the calcium ions can be mutually combined with the metal oxide film to form a protective layer, the metal base material is further protected, and the salt spray resistance of the finally prepared coating film can reach more than 500 h.
The invention has the advantages that the VOC content in the coating is very low, the diluent is water, and the VOC emission in the coating process is extremely low; the coating film has excellent water resistance, salt water resistance and salt spray resistance, strong adhesive force and good flexibility.
The waterborne polyvinylidene chloride single-component anti-rust primer disclosed by the invention has the VOC content of less than 10g/L, the water resistance and the salt water resistance of more than 720h, and the salt spray resistance of more than 500 h.

1. the fineness is required to be less than or equal to 60 mu m, GB/T1724-2019;
2. the adhesive force adopts a cross-check method, the requirement is less than or equal to level 1, GB/T9286-1998;
3. bending performance is required to be less than or equal to 2mm, GB/T6742-2007;
4. the water resistance requirements are that the surface of the coating film is not foamed, peeled, cracked and rusty spot, GB/T1733-1993;
5. the requirement of salt water resistance is that the surface of the coating film does not blister, peel off, crack or rust, GB/T9274-1988;

As can be seen from the above table, the aqueous polyvinylidene chloride one-component rust inhibitive primer of the present invention has excellent performance, but when the resin content is too small, its corrosion inhibitive performance is lowered.
The invention develops the aqueous polyvinylidene chloride single-component anti-rust primer by adopting the aqueous polyvinylidene chloride resin, and the coating has extremely low VOC emission in the whole coating process and excellent anti-rust performance.
Polyvinylidene chloride, having the chemical formula:
Figure 656105DEST_PATH_IMAGE003
the material is nontoxic, tasteless, powdery and widely applied. Polyvinylidene chloride contains two chlorine atoms in unit molecule, has strong electronegativity and is tightly combined with hydrogen atoms in other chains. In addition, the molecular structure of the material has good symmetry. The characteristics make the gaps among the molecules very small, the crystallinity is high, the molecules and the molecules can be well agglomerated together, the permeation of small molecular substances such as water, chloride ions and the like is prevented, and the barrier property is excellent. Polyvinylidene chloride, however, has poor stability at its softening temperature. Under high temperature conditions, the metal ions present therein accelerate the decomposition and aging thereof, and thus the practical application value of polyvinylidene chloride homopolymer is low. And the polyvinylidene chloride of product grade exists mainly in the form of copolymer, such as VDC/VC, VDC/AN, VDC/MMA and the like.
The polyvinylidene chloride emulsion is a product of polyvinylidene chloride material aquosity, and the polyvinylidene chloride emulsion resin adopted by the invention is a terpolymer of VC (vinyl chloride)/VDC (vinylidene chloride)/MMA (acrylic acid). Due to the special molecular structure, a compact paint film like a plastic film can be formed, the paint film has extremely low transmittance to water vapor, chloride ions, carbon dioxide and the like, has good adhesive force on various substrates, and has good flexibility.
In addition, the coating formula is added with an antirust pigment with excellent shielding property and an antirust pigment with excellent passivation effect, so that the final coating is endowed with excellent water resistance, salt water resistance and salt mist resistance.
The polyvinylidene chloride emulsion is hardly added with any solvent in the synthesis process, and the VOC content of the resin is almost zero. The film can be formed by only adding a very small amount of cosolvent in the formula of the coating, so that the prepared coating product has extremely low VOC content.
As described above, although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that many modifications are possible without substantially departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Therefore, such modifications are also all included in the scope of protection of the present invention.
