Description

Fastening arrangement for a drawer bottom and method for mounting a drawer bottom
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a fastening arrangement for a drawer bottom, comprising at least one rail on which a support for supporting a lateral edge of the drawer bottom is formed and a wall section for connection to a side panel, which wall section is arranged at an angle to the support, wherein at least one pivotably mounted claw is provided on the at least one rail, which claw can be driven into the drawer bottom, wherein a U-shaped channel is formed between the support and the wall section, and to a method for mounting a drawer on the at least one rail.
Background
DE 10 2016 103 169 discloses an adapter for fastening a floor to a side panel, wherein lateral channels are formed on the adapter, a plurality of claws projecting upwards at an angle being formed on the bottom wall of the channel, the tips of the claws being able to be embedded in the material of the floor. This prevents any movement of the base plate relative to the adapter against which the jaws rest as a result of being loaded. Not proposed is that the jaws are driven into the material of the base plate by the tool.
DE 93 039 03U1 discloses a drawer in which a claw for fastening a floor is provided, which claw is driven into the underside of the floor. In said document, the jaws are not provided on a track with a U-shaped channel, which increases the stability of the connection between the drawer bottom and the side panels, which is particularly advantageous in the case of wider drawers.
The problem addressed by the present invention is therefore to provide a fastening arrangement for a drawer bottom, which fastening arrangement has a stable construction and enables an efficient fastening of the drawer bottom to at least one rail.
This problem is solved by a fastening arrangement according to one aspect of the invention and a method for mounting a drawer bottom according to another aspect of the invention.
Disclosure of Invention
In the fastening arrangement according to the invention, at least one rail is provided, which has a support for the edge of the drawer bottom and a wall section for connecting the side panels, which wall section is preferably oriented vertically in the mounted position, wherein a U-shaped channel is formed between the wall section and the support, which increases the stability of the rail and strengthens the torsion resistance of the rail. Furthermore, at least one pivotably mounted claw is provided, which can be driven into the drawer bottom, wherein at least one hole is provided on the base of the U-shaped channel and through which a tool for driving the claw can pass. Thus, by placing the rail on the support and then using a tool to drive the pawl into the drawer bottom by passing the tool through the hole in the base of the U-shaped channel, the drawer bottom can be effectively mounted on the rail. Optionally, multiple tools may be passed simultaneously through multiple holes over the length of the rail to drive multiple pawls simultaneously into the drawer bottom.
In a preferred embodiment, at least one jaw is pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rail. The axis preferably extends horizontally in the mounted position such that the direction of movement of the at least one jaw as it is driven in is substantially vertical. In this case, at least one claw may advantageously be provided with an undercut in order to better ensure that the claw is not separated from the drawer bottom again.
In order to stably fasten the drawer bottom, the rail extends substantially over the entire length of the drawer bottom. Multiple individual rail sections may also be secured to the drawer bottom, but preferably one rail is secured to each of the opposite sides of the drawer bottom.
In a first embodiment, at least one jaw is integrally formed with the track. In this case, at least one claw may be integrally formed on the rim of the U-shaped channel and may protrude into the channel. The claw may thus be made of the material of the rim of the U-shaped channel and then bent from the rim inwards into the interior of the channel in order to be able to be driven there into the drawer bottom by means of a tool. Optionally, two jaws may be formed on the edge of the channel, the jaws being fastened on opposite sides of the aperture and being accessible through the aperture. Two jaws may then be driven in at the hole, which are pivoted in opposite rotational directions, since they are connected to the edges of the U-shaped channel on opposite sides. This increases the holding force, since the claws are embedded in the material of the drawer bottom in the opposite direction. The jaws and/or the tool can advantageously be designed such that two jaws can be driven simultaneously by the tool into the drawer bottom.
In an alternative embodiment, the pawl is formed on a separately manufactured lever that is rotatably mounted on the rail. In this case, the lever may be formed as a double-arm lever and may have at least one claw on the first lever arm and at least one actuation section on the second lever arm for moving the claw, wherein a hole on the base of the U-shaped channel provides access to the actuation section. A force may then be applied by the tool on the actuation section to drive the pawl on the other lever arm into the material of the drawer bottom plate. The claw is preferably driven into the upper side of the drawer bottom.
In another embodiment, a locking mechanism is provided by means of which at least one pawl can be locked in the drive-in position. This prevents the jaws from pivoting back after being driven in, thus preventing the connection from separating. The locking mechanism may be implemented, for example, by latching the pawl to a stop, which prevents the pawl from pivoting back.
In the method according to the invention, the drawer bottom is placed on the support of the rail and at least one claw is driven into the drawer bottom by means of a tool passing through at least one hole in the base of the U-shaped channel. Optionally, two jaws may be driven simultaneously by the tool, for example if the jaws are arranged adjacent to each other, wherein the jaws preferably rotate in opposite directions. Furthermore, the pawl may preferably be locked in the drive-in position.

Detailed Description
The piece of furniture 1 comprises a furniture body 2 on which a plurality of drawers 3 are movably held via pull-out guides. Each drawer 3 comprises a drawer bottom 4 arranged between two side panels 5. The front panel 7 is fastened to the side panels 5 and the rear wall 6 is provided on the opposite side.
Fig. 2 shows a drawer bottom 4 with a rear wall 6 and one side panel 5. The drawer bottom 4 is fastened to the side panels 5, wherein one edge of the panel-like drawer bottom 4, preferably made of wood material, engages in a receptacle below the side panels 5.
Fig. 3A and 3B show the side panels 5 without the drawer bottom 4. It can be seen that a rail 10 is provided below the drawer bottom 4, which rail extends almost over the entire length of the side panels 5, and on which rail a support 11 is provided, which support the underside of the drawer bottom 4. A receptacle 12 for the edge of the drawer bottom 4 is formed below the side panels 5. A U-shaped channel 15 is provided on the underside of the receptacle 12, on which a plurality of claws 13 are provided distributed over the length, which claws can be driven into the underside of the drawer bottom 4.
Fig. 4A to 4C show the side panels 5 with the rails 10 in different positions. It can be seen that the rail 10 has a horizontal support 11 and a vertical wall section 16 in the installed condition, a U-shaped channel 15 with a horizontal base and two vertical edges being arranged between the support 11 and the vertical wall section 16. At least one jaw 13 is arranged inside the U-shaped channel 15. The receptacles 12 at the edges of the drawer bottom 4 are covered on the upper side by a portion of the side panels 5.
The design of the rail 10 for fastening the drawer bottom 4 is shown in detail in fig. 5A to 5I. The rail 10 consists of a bent and stamped metal sheet, in particular a steel sheet, with a plurality of claws 13 distributed over the length, which claws are integrally formed with the rail 10. Each jaw 13 is held on a flexible arm 14 which is connected to the vertical edge of the U-shaped channel 15. The claw 13 has an upwardly projecting tip which can be driven into the underside of the drawer bottom 4. In the region of the claw 13, in each case, a hole 18 is provided on the base of the U-shaped channel 15. Two claws 13 are provided each, which are integrally formed on opposite sides on the vertical edge of the U-shaped channel and are pivotable in opposite directions. Thus, when driven in using the tool, the two jaws 13 can be driven simultaneously, which are connected to the edge of the track 10 on opposite sides and are thus mounted so as to be pivotable in opposite directions.
In addition, the claw 13 protrudes into the interior of the U-shaped channel 15, as shown in particular in fig. 5B and 5G. In this case, the flexible arms 14 may be oriented at an angle of between 5 ° and 30 ° with respect to the vertical edge of the U-shaped channel 15.
Fig. 6 shows a rail 10 with a drawer bottom 4. Here, the drawer bottom 4 is placed on the rail 10, and the claw 13 has not yet engaged with the drawer bottom 4.
Fig. 7 shows a rail 10 according to the design of fig. 5, wherein a cover 20 can be mounted on the rail 10 and engage around the rail 10. For this purpose, the cover 20 has a lower edge 21, side walls and an upper edge 22. For mounting purposes, the cover 20 may be arranged on the wall section 16, as shown in fig. 8. Drawer bottom 4 can then be inserted between upper edge 22 and support 11. The cover 20 has a hole 23 in the region of the claw 13, so that the claw 13 can be driven into the drawer bottom 4 even in the presence of the cover 20.
Fig. 9 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a rail 10 'on which a lever 30 is provided instead of an integrally formed claw, which lever is rotatably mounted on the wall section 16 of the rail 10'. On each lever 30, a rotation axis 31 is provided, which extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the rail 10' and is arranged in the wall section 16. The lever 30 is formed as a double-arm lever and includes a first lever arm 32, and a curved claw 33 is formed at an end of the first lever arm 32. On the second lever arm 34, an actuation section 35 is formed, as shown in fig. 10. The actuation section 35 is accessible via a hole 36 in the base of the U-shaped channel 15.
To mount the drawer bottom 4, first, the drawer bottom 4 is placed with its underside on the support 11, as shown in fig. 11A, with the edges of the drawer bottom 4 covering the U-shaped channel 15. Optionally, the end face of the drawer bottom 4 can bear against the wall section 16, and optionally a certain amount of play can also be present. In the next step, a tool 40 with a rod 41 is used. The rod 41 passes through the hole 36 on the base of the U-shaped channel 15 and there meets the actuating section 35 on the second lever arm 34. By pressing or striking the actuation section 35, the lever 30 is pivoted, and the second lever arm 34 with the claw 33 is pressed against the upper side of the drawer bottom 4 in order to embed the claw 33 into the material of the drawer bottom 4.
Fig. 12A and 12B show the drawer bottom 4 in the installed position. The drawer bottom 4 is fastened to the rail 10 'by means of a plurality of claws 33 embedded in the material on the upper side of the drawer bottom 4 in order to prevent any movement of the drawer bottom 4 relative to the rail 10'.
When the lever 30 is pivoted, latching can also be performed as follows: during the pivoting movement, the tab or latch tab moves past, and then latches behind the lever 30 at one of the lever arms 32 or 34, so as to prevent the lever 30 from pivoting back. This measure prevents the connection between the claw 33 and the drawer bottom 4 from being separated by a pivoting movement back. In this case, the tab or latch protrusion may be integrally formed with the rail 10'.
In fig. 9, the web 111 is shown in the region of the support 11 on the rail 10'. These webs 111 bear against the underside of the drawer bottom 4 at the point where the claw 33 engages into the drawer bottom 4 from above. This stabilizes the drawer bottom 4.
The above exemplary embodiments may be combined with each other as needed. For example, a rail may be provided with a claw 13 which is driven into the underside of the drawer bottom 4 by a tool 40. In addition, at least one lever 30 can be provided on the same rail, which drives the claw 33 into the upper side of the drawer bottom 4, so that the drawer bottom 4 is firmly held between the claws 13 and 33. The number of claws 13 and 33 can be selected according to the dimensions of the drawer bottom 4 in the longitudinal direction of the rail 10 or 10'.
