Abstract
The application relates to a flavor composition and electronic cigarette liquid containing the flavor composition. The e-liquid of some embodiments of the present application consists of a flavor composition consisting of 1 to 10 parts methyl benzoate, 0.1 to 5 parts benzyl propionate, 1 to 10 parts allyl 3-cyclohexyl propionate, 25 to 50 parts methyl cinnamate, 5 to 20 parts allyl hexanoate, 1 to 10 parts methyl salicylate, and 25 to 55 parts benzyl acetate, propylene glycol, glycerin, a cooling agent, a flavor, optionally nicotine or a nicotine salt, and optionally an organic acid. The electronic cigarette liquid can enable a user to generate the taste of the flavor of the red bull when the user absorbs the electronic cigarette liquid through the flavor composition, and the electronic cigarette liquid can form uniform and rich aerial fog, so that the user experience is effectively improved.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of electronic aerosols or electronic nebulization devices, in particular to electronic cigarette liquid.
Background
Due to the pursuit of personal health, environmental protection, and convenience in use, electronic cigarettes are becoming more and more popular with consumers as a substitute for conventional tobacco. The electronic cigarette or the electronic atomizer replaces the smoke generated by the traditional high-temperature combustion mode of tobacco by atomizing the smoking material at low temperature to form aerosol for the user to inhale. The electronic cigarette liquid has certain influence on the experience and the taste of a user.
Therefore, there is a need for further improvement and research on the composition of electronic cigarette liquid.
Disclosure of Invention
The application provides a flavor composition (also called flavor additive) which can be used in electronic cigarette liquid, wherein the aerosol formed by atomizing the flavor composition through an atomizing device and used for inhalation of a user can enable the user to feel the flavor of a red bull, and harmful substances such as tar and suspended particles are not generated. Simultaneously, this electron tobacco juice can form the even and strong aerial fog of smell when the user smokes, and this aerial fog taste is gentle and agreeable and do not have and remain the sense to promote user experience.
In accordance with one aspect of the present application, there is provided an electronic smoking fluid consisting of a flavor composition consisting of about 1 to 10 parts methyl benzoate, about 0.1 to 5 parts benzyl propionate, about 1 to 10 parts allyl 3-cyclohexyl propionate, about 25 to 50 parts methyl cinnamate, about 5 to 20 parts allyl hexanoate, about 1 to 10 parts methyl salicylate, and about 25 to 55 parts benzyl acetate, propylene glycol, glycerin, a cooling agent, a flavor, optionally nicotine or a salt of nicotine, and optionally an organic acid.
According to yet another aspect of the present application, there is provided an aerosolization device comprising the above-described e-liquid.

Detailed Description
Embodiments of the present application will be described in detail below. The examples of the present application should not be construed as limiting the present application.
Additionally, amounts, ratios, and other numerical values are sometimes presented herein in a range format. It is to be understood that such range format is used for convenience and brevity, and should be interpreted flexibly to include not only the numerical values explicitly recited as the limits of the range, but also to include all the individual numerical values or sub-ranges encompassed within that range as if each numerical value and sub-range is explicitly recited.
As used herein, the terms "substantially," "generally," "substantially," "essentially," and "about" are used to describe and illustrate small variations. When used in conjunction with an event or circumstance, the terms can refer to instances where the event or circumstance occurs precisely as well as instances where the event or circumstance occurs in close proximity. For example, when used in conjunction with numerical values, the term can refer to a range of variation that is less than or equal to ± 10% of the stated numerical value, such as less than or equal to ± 5%, less than or equal to ± 4%, less than or equal to ± 3%, less than or equal to ± 2%, less than or equal to ± 1%, less than or equal to ± 0.5%, less than or equal to ± 0.1%, or less than or equal to ± 0.05%. As used herein, the term "aerosol for inhalation by a user" can include, but is not limited to, aerosols, suspended liquids, cryogenic vapors, and volatile gases.
As used herein, the term "optional" is used to indicate that the e-liquid may or may not include the component.
According to one aspect of the present application, there is provided an e-liquid comprising a flavor composition. In some embodiments, an e-liquid according to the present application consists of a flavor composition, propylene glycol, glycerin, a cooling agent, a flavor, optionally nicotine or a nicotine salt, and optionally an organic acid. In some embodiments, the flavor composition comprises or consists of the following parts by weight: about 1 to 10 parts of methyl benzoate, about 0.1 to 5 parts of benzyl propionate, about 1 to 10 parts of allyl 3-cyclohexylpropionate, about 25 to 50 parts of methyl cinnamate, about 5 to 20 parts of allyl hexanoate, about 1 to 10 parts of methyl salicylate, and about 25 to 55 parts of benzyl acetate.
In some embodiments of the flavor composition, each of the methyl benzoate, allyl 3-cyclohexylpropionate, or methyl salicylate can be in the range of approximately 1 part, 2 parts, 3 parts, 4 parts, 5 parts, 7 parts, 9 parts, 10 parts, or any two of these parts by weight.
In some embodiments of the flavor compositions, benzyl propionate can be approximately 0.1 parts, 0.3 parts, 0.5 parts, 0.8 parts, 1.0 parts, 1.5 parts, 2 parts, 3 parts, 4 parts, 5 parts, or a range consisting of any two of these parts by weight.
In some embodiments, the flavor composition can include methyl cinnamate in an amount of about 25 parts, 28 parts, 30 parts, 35 parts, 38 parts, 40 parts, 42 parts, 45 parts, 48 parts, 50 parts, or a range consisting of any two of these parts by weight.
In some embodiments, the allyl hexanoate can be present in the flavor composition in an amount of about 5 parts, 6 parts, 7 parts, 8 parts, 9 parts, 10 parts, 12 parts, 15 parts, 18 parts, 20 parts, or a range consisting of any two of these parts by weight.
In some embodiments, the flavor composition can include benzyl acetate in an amount of about 25 parts, 28 parts, 30 parts, 35 parts, 38 parts, 40 parts, 42 parts, 45 parts, 48 parts, 50 parts, 52 parts, 55 parts, or a range consisting of any two of these parts by weight.
The flavor composition is an additive, and when the flavor composition is added into the electronic cigarette liquid, the electronic cigarette liquid can enable a user to generate taste and smell feeling of the flavor of the red bull when in use.
In some embodiments, the flavor composition is present in the e-liquid in an amount of from about 0.1% to about 5% by weight of the e-liquid, e.g., in an amount of from about 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5%, 3%, 3.5%, 4%, 4.5%, 5% or a range consisting of any two of these weight percentages. In some embodiments, the flavor composition is present in the e-liquid in an amount of about 0.5% to about 1.5% by weight to produce a mild aerosol taste and thereby optimize the user experience.
The e-liquid also includes a base solvent, wherein the base solvent includes propylene glycol and glycerol (glycerin). In some embodiments, the weight of propylene glycol in the e-liquid is approximately 15% to 60%, for example approximately 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 50%, 60%, or a range consisting of any two of these weight percentages, based on the total weight of the e-liquid; and glycerol in the electronic cigarette liquid in an amount of about 30% to about 70%, for example, about 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65%, 70%, or any two of these weight percentages. In some embodiments, the propylene glycol is present in the e-liquid in an amount of about 20% to about 60% by weight, and the glycerin is present in the e-liquid in an amount of about 40% to about 70% by weight, so as to achieve optimal atomization of the e-liquid and improve the user experience.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the base solvent may be selected from any solvent known in the art according to specific needs, for example, deionized water, propylene glycol, glycerol, without limitation.
In some embodiments, the e-liquid further comprises a cooling agent.
Cooling agents are additives, which are chemicals that can produce a cooling effect sensation to the user when the product is used and are not irritating. In some embodiments, the cooling agent comprises a cooling agent selected from the group consisting of menthol, menthone, isomenthone, l-menthyl lactate, WS-23(N,2, 3-trimethyl-2-isopropylbutanamide), WS-3 (N-ethyl-p-menthyl-3-carboxamide), WS-5(N- (ethoxycarbonylmethyl) -p-alkane-3-carboxamide), WS-12(N- (4-methoxyphenyl) -p-menthyl-3-carboxamide), and combinations thereof.
In some embodiments, the cooling agent is present in the e-liquid in an amount of about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the e-liquid, e.g., about 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% or a range consisting of any two of these weight percentages. In some embodiments, the cooling agent is present in the e-liquid in an amount of about 1.0% to about 10% by weight of the e-liquid, based on the total weight of the e-liquid, to enhance the mouthfeel of the aerosol generated by the e-liquid for inhalation by a user.
In some embodiments, the e-liquid further comprises nicotine. In some embodiments, the weight of nicotine in the e-liquid is approximately 0% to 5%, for example approximately 0%, 0.1%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%, 3%, 3.5%, 4%, 4.5%, 5%, or a range consisting of any two of these weight percentages, based on the total weight of the e-liquid. In some embodiments, the nicotine is present in the electronic liquid in an amount of about 0.9% to about 5.0% by weight based on the total weight of the electronic liquid.
In some embodiments, the e-liquid further comprises a nicotine salt. In some embodiments, the nicotine salt is the product of the reaction of nicotine and benzoic acid. In some embodiments, the weight percentage of the nicotine salt in the e-liquid is less than about 10.0%, such as about 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, or a range consisting of any two of these weight percentages, based on the total weight of the e-liquid. In some embodiments, the nicotine salt is present in the electronic liquid in an amount from about 0.5% to about 10.0% by weight based on the total weight of the electronic liquid.
In some embodiments, the e-liquid further comprises a flavoring, wherein the composition comprises ethyl 2-methylbutyrate, methyl N-methyl anthranilate, alpha-ionone, beta-ionone, peach aldehyde (i.e., gamma undecalactone), benzyl alcohol, cis-3-hexenol propionate (i.e., geranyl propionate), butyric acid, geranyl butyrate, ethyl butyrate, isoamyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl hexanoate, methyl furoate, methyl anthranilate, ethyl salicylate, vanillin, dl-citronellol, geraniol, ethyl maltol, ethyl vanillin, 2-methylbutyl acetate, neryl acetate, citronellyl acetate, geranyl acetate, ethyl acetate, isoamyl acetate, ethyl isobutyrate, ethyl isovalerate, isoamyl isovalerate, or any combination thereof.
In some embodiments, the weight of the flavoring in the e-liquid is about 0.01% to about 10.0%, for example, approximately 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%, 3%, 3.5%, 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, 8%, 9%, 10%, or a range consisting of any two of these weight percentages, based on the total weight of the e-liquid, to add flavor to the e-liquid and optimize the mouthfeel of the aerosol generated therefrom. In some embodiments, the flavor is present in the e-liquid in an amount of about 2.5% to about 5% by weight of the total e-liquid.
In some embodiments, the electronic liquid further comprises an organic acid comprising at least one of benzoic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, levulinic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, lauric acid, malic acid, or succinic acid. In some embodiments, the weight of the organic acid in the e-liquid is from about 0% to about 5%, for example, approximately in the range of 0%, 1%, 1.2%, 2%, 2.4%, 3%, 3.5%, 4%, 4.5%, or 5%, or any two of these weight percentages, based on the total weight of the e-liquid.
According to some embodiments of the present application, there is provided a method of preparing an electronic cigarette liquid, comprising the steps of: the ingredients in the flavor composition are mixed according to the specific proportion in the range provided by the embodiment, then the essence, the nicotine and the cooling agent are added, and then the mixture is added into the basic tobacco juice and is uniformly mixed to obtain the electronic tobacco juice.
According to another aspect of the present application, there is provided an atomization device including the electronic cigarette liquid according to any one of the above embodiments. The electronic cigarette liquid can be atomized by the atomization device to generate aerosol for a user to inhale.
In some embodiments, the nebulizing device comprises an electronic cigarette, an ultrasonic nebulizer, or a mesh nebulizer.
Examples
In order to facilitate a better understanding of the present application, the following examples are set forth. These examples belong to the scope of protection of the present application, but do not limit the scope of protection of the present application.
Example 1
Preparing basic tobacco juice:
the base tobacco juice is obtained by blending propylene glycol and glycerol according to the following weight ratio (40.5:53) and then uniformly mixing.
Preparing essence:
the components were mixed in the following weight ratio in table 1 to obtain the essence.
Preparing electronic cigarette liquid:
methyl benzoate, benzyl propionate, 3-cyclohexyl allyl propionate, methyl cinnamate, allyl hexanoate, methyl salicylate and benzyl acetate are blended and mixed according to the following weight ratio (3: 1: 3: 35: 15: 5: 38) to obtain a flavor composition, and then 1.0 g of the flavor composition, 2.5 g of WS-23 and 3 g of essence are mixed and added into 93.5 g of base cigarette liquid, and the mixture is stirred uniformly to obtain the electronic cigarette liquid.
Example 2
Preparing basic tobacco juice:
the base tobacco juice is obtained by blending propylene glycol and glycerol according to the following weight ratio (40.01:50) and then uniformly mixing.
Preparing essence:
the components were mixed in the following weight ratio in table 1 to obtain the essence.
Preparing electronic cigarette liquid:
methyl benzoate, benzyl propionate, 3-cyclohexyl allyl propionate, methyl cinnamate, allyl caproate, methyl salicylate and benzyl acetate are blended and mixed according to the following weight ratio (3: 1: 2: 40: 10: 4: 40) to obtain a flavor composition, then 2 g of the flavor composition, 0.99 g of nicotine, 3 g of menthol and 4 g of essence are mixed and added into 90.01 g of base cigarette liquid, and the mixture is stirred uniformly to obtain the electronic cigarette liquid.
Example 3
Preparing basic tobacco juice:
the base tobacco juice is obtained by blending propylene glycol and glycerol according to the following weight ratio (41.7:48) and then uniformly mixing.
Preparing essence:
the components were mixed in the following weight ratio in table 1 to obtain the essence.
Preparing electronic cigarette liquid:
methyl benzoate, benzyl propionate, 3-cyclohexyl allyl propionate, methyl cinnamate, allyl hexanoate, methyl salicylate and benzyl acetate are blended and mixed according to the following weight ratio (3: 1: 2: 40: 10: 4: 40) to obtain a flavor composition, and then 1.5 g of the flavor composition, 1.8 g of nicotine, 1.2 g of benzoic acid, 1 g of menthol, 1 g of WS-23 and 3.8 g of essence are mixed and added into 89.7 g of base cigarette liquid, and the mixture is stirred uniformly to obtain the electronic cigarette liquid.
Example 4
Preparing basic tobacco juice:
the base tobacco juice is obtained by blending propylene glycol and glycerol according to the following weight ratio (40.3:46) and then uniformly mixing.
Preparing essence:
the components were mixed in the following weight ratio in table 1 to obtain the essence.
Preparing electronic cigarette liquid:
methyl benzoate, benzyl propionate, 3-cyclohexyl allyl propionate, methyl cinnamate, allyl caproate, methyl salicylate and benzyl acetate are blended and mixed according to the following weight ratio (3.5: 1: 4: 38: 8: 3.5: 42) to obtain a flavor composition, and then 1.5 g of the flavor composition, 3 g of nicotine, 2.4 g of benzoic acid, 2 g of menthol, 1 g of WS-3 and 3.8 g of essence are mixed and added into 86.3 g of base cigarette liquid, and the mixture is stirred uniformly to obtain the electronic cigarette liquid.
Example 5
Preparing basic tobacco juice:
the base tobacco juice is obtained by blending propylene glycol and glycerol in the following weight ratio (39.5:43) and mixing uniformly.
Preparing essence:
the components were mixed in the following weight ratio in table 1 to obtain the essence.
Preparing electronic cigarette liquid:
methyl benzoate, benzyl propionate, 3-cyclohexyl allyl propionate, methyl cinnamate, allyl caproate, methyl salicylate and benzyl acetate are blended and mixed according to the following weight ratio (3.5: 1: 4: 38: 8: 3.5: 42) to obtain a flavor composition, and then 1.0 g of the flavor composition, 5 g of nicotine, 4.5 g of benzoic acid, 2 g of menthol, 1 g of WS-23, 1 g of WS-3 and 3 g of essence are mixed and added into 82.5 g of base cigarette liquid, and the mixture is stirred uniformly to obtain the electronic cigarette liquid.
The composition of the perfume in the above examples is shown in table 1 below.

Upon completion of the e-liquid of examples 1-5 above, the mouth feel score test was followed.

Please note that 20 evaluators scored the experience of the electronic cigarette liquid of examples 1-5 according to the evaluation indexes in table 2.

the statistical method comprises the following steps: the electronic cigarette liquid of the embodiment 1-5 is randomly selected 1000 users to carry out use test on the electronic cigarette liquid through the electronic cigarette, and the taste and the mouthfeel of the electronic cigarette liquid are evaluated after the use test, wherein the evaluation standard is calculated by 10 points in total, and the better the taste or the better the mouthfeel, the higher the score.
The results of the sensory testing of the e-liquid of examples 1-5 are shown in table 4 below.

As can be seen from the data in tables 2 to 4, the electronic cigarette liquids of examples 1 to 5 of the present application can generate aerosol with a red-ox flavor for inhalation by a user after atomization, and can effectively improve the satisfaction of the user in terms of taste or flavor performance.
It can be understood from the above embodiments of the present application that the present application provides an electronic cigarette liquid, which can enable a user to generate a flavor of a red bull without generating harmful substances such as tar and aerosol through the flavor composition contained in the electronic cigarette liquid. Simultaneously, this electron tobacco juice can form the even and strong aerial fog of smell when the user smokes, and this aerial fog taste is gentle and agreeable and do not have and remain the sense to promote user experience.

Although the methods disclosed herein have been described with reference to particular operations performed in a particular order, it should be understood that these operations may be combined, sub-divided, or reordered to form equivalent methods without departing from the teachings of the present application. Accordingly, unless specifically indicated herein, the order and grouping of the operations is not a limitation of the present application.
Claims (11)
1. An electronic smoking fluid consisting of a flavor composition consisting of 1 to 10 parts methyl benzoate, 0.1 to 5 parts benzyl propionate, 1 to 10 parts allyl 3-cyclohexyl propionate, 25 to 50 parts methyl cinnamate, 5 to 20 parts allyl hexanoate, 1 to 10 parts methyl salicylate, and 25 to 55 parts benzyl acetate, propylene glycol, glycerol, a cooling agent, a flavor, optionally nicotine or a salt of nicotine, and optionally an organic acid.
2. The e-liquid of claim 1, wherein the flavor composition is present in the e-liquid in an amount of 0.1% to 5% by weight based on the total weight of the e-liquid.
3. The e-liquid of claim 1, wherein the propylene glycol is present in the e-liquid in an amount of 15% to 60% by weight of the total e-liquid, and the glycerol is present in the e-liquid in an amount of 30% to 70% by weight of the total e-liquid.
4. The e-liquid of claim 1, wherein the weight of nicotine in the e-liquid is from 0% to 5% based on the total weight of the e-liquid.
5. The e-liquid of claim 1, wherein the nicotine salt is present in the e-liquid in an amount of 0% to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the e-liquid.
6. The e-liquid of claim 1, wherein the cooling agent is selected from the group consisting of menthol, menthone, isomenthone, l-menthyl lactate, WS-23(N,2, 3-trimethyl-2-isopropylbutanamide), WS-3 (N-ethyl-p-menthyl-3-carboxamide), WS-5(N- (ethoxycarbonylmethyl) -p-alkane-3-carboxamide), WS-12(N- (4-methoxyphenyl) -p-menthyl-3-carboxamide), and combinations thereof.
7. The e-liquid of claim 6, wherein the cooling agent is present in the e-liquid in an amount of 0.1% to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the e-liquid.

The e-liquid of claim 1, wherein the flavoring comprises ethyl 2-methylbutanoate, methyl N-methyl anthranilate, alpha-ionone, beta-ionone, peach aldehyde, benzyl alcohol, cis-3-hexenol propionate, butyric acid, geranyl butyrate, ethyl butyrate, isoamyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl hexanoate, methyl furoate, methyl anthranilate, ethyl salicylate, vanillin, dl-citronellol, geraniol, ethyl maltol, ethyl vanillin, 2-methylbutyl acetate, neryl acetate, citronellyl acetate, geranyl acetate, ethyl acetate, isoamyl acetate, ethyl isobutyrate, ethyl isovalerate, isoamyl isovalerate, or any combination thereof.
9. The e-liquid of claim 9, wherein the flavor is present in the e-liquid in an amount of 0.1% to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the e-liquid.
10. An aerosolization device comprising the e-liquid of any one of claims 1-9.
11. The atomization device of claim 10 in which the atomization device comprises an electronic cigarette, an ultrasonic atomizer, or a mesh atomizer.
